Calendar of Feasts and Other Events
The calendar is “Gregorian based,” but also reflects Biblical days. Biblical days start at night, so the ‘khodesh’ (renewed crescent of the moon) begins in the evening (Erev) of the Gregorian day on which it is posted. “High Days” are listed on the day they start [at night, because there is most always an in-home blessing to set apart that ‘day’], AND the event of the ‘assembly’ on the day and at the time the assembly actually occurs.

Yom Kippur Service
Puente Para Cristo 33122 TX-249, Pinehurst, TX, United StatesYom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, is a day of complete personal fasting and prayer from evening to evening. The fast begins on the evening before we gather for service in the afternoon. Please wear all white to this service.

Sukkot Week
Sukkot, or Feast of Tabernacles, is a wonderful week of celebration. Bat Tzion will be gathering in homes several nights during the week for fellowship, food, and music. For more information on these private events, please use the form on our contact page.

First Night of Sukkot
We will welcome in the week-long feast of Sukkot this evening by celebrating at the home of one of our members. This is a private event but open to visitors. Please use the contact form if you are interested in attending.

Shemini Atzeret/Simkat Torah
Puente Para Cristo 33122 TX-249, Pinehurst, TX, United StatesShemini Atzeret is the commanded eight day observation that is the culmination of the fall feasts. We will gather for service in the late afternoon. Bat Tzion combines this with the traditional Simkhat Torah (Rejoicing in the Torah) celebration, where we unroll and roll up the scroll and rejoice with singing and dancing.
