Bikkurim began at Sundown the previous day. This is the day for offering the First Fruits of the Barley Harvest in accordance with VaYikra (Lev) 23:9-16.

This is also the day that that our Messiah,  יהוה Yeshua HaMashi'akh, rose from the dead to live everlasting as the First Fruits of the resurrection of the dead to eternal life.
