BaMidbar Chapter 1
1 And יהוה spoke unto Moshe in the wilderness of Sinai, in the Ohel Mo'ed, on the first day of the second khodesh, in the second year after they were come out of the land of Mitzrayim, saying, 2 "Take the sum of all the assembly of B'nei Yisra'el, by their families, by their fathers' houses, according to the number of names, every male, by their polls; 3 from twenty years old and upward, all that are able to go forth to war in Yisra'el: you shall number them by their hosts, even you and Aharon. 4 And with you there shall be a man of every tribe, every one head of his father’s house. 5 And these are the names of the men that shall stand with you: of Re'uven, Elizur Ben Shedeur. 6 Of Shimon, Shelumi'el Ben Tzuri-Shadai. 7 Of Yehudah, Nakhshon Ben Aminadav. 8 Of Yisakhar, Nethanel Ben Zuar. 9 Of Zevulun, Eli'av Ben Helon. 10 Of the children of Yosef: of Efrayim, Elishama Ben Amihud; of Menasheh, Gamaliel Ben Pedahzur. 11 Of Binyamin, Abidan Ben Gide'oni. 12 Of Dan, Ahiezer Ben Ammi-Shadai. 13 Of Asher, Pagiel Ben Okhran. 14 Of Gad, Eliasaf Ben Deu'el. 15 Of Naftali, Ahira Ben Enan." 16 These were the elect of the assembly, the princes of the tribes of their fathers; they were the heads of the thousands of Yisra'el.
17 And Moshe and Aharon took these men that are pointed out by name. 18 And they congregated all the assembly together on the first day of the second khodesh, and they declared their pedigrees after their families, by their fathers' houses, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and upward, by their polls. 19 As יהוה commanded Moshe, so did he number them in the wilderness of Sinai. 20 And the children of Re'uven, Yisra'el’s firstborn, their generations, by their families, by their fathers' houses, according to the number of names, by their polls, every male from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war; 21 those that were numbered of them, of the tribe of Re'uven, were forty-six thousand and five hundred.
22 Of the children of Shimon, their generations, by their families, by their fathers' houses, those that were numbered thereof, according to the number of names, by their polls, every male from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war; 23 those that were numbered of them, of the tribe of Shimon, were fifty-nine thousand and three hundred.
24 Of the children of Gad, their generations, by their families, by their fathers' houses, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war; 25 those that were numbered of them, of the tribe of Gad, were forty-five thousand six hundred and fifty.
26 Of the children of Yehudah, their generations, by their families, by their fathers' houses, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war; 27 those that were numbered of them, of the tribe of Yehudah, were seventy-four thousand and six hundred.
28 Of the children of Yisakhar, their generations, by their families, by their fathers' houses, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war; 29 those that were numbered of them, of the tribe of Yisakhar, were fifty-four thousand and four hundred.
30 Of the children of Zevulun, their generations, by their families, by their fathers' houses, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war; 31 those that were numbered of them, of the tribe of Zevulun, were fifty-seven thousand and four hundred.
32 Of the children of Yosef, namely, of the children of Efrayim, their generations, by their families, by their fathers' houses, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war; 33 those that were numbered of them, of the tribe of Efrayim, were forty thousand and five hundred.
34 Of the children of Menasheh, their generations, by their families, by their fathers' houses, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war; 35 those that were numbered of them, of the tribe of Menasheh, were thirty-two thousand and two hundred.
36 Of the children of Binyamin, their generations, by their families, by their fathers' houses, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war; 37 those that were numbered of them, of the tribe of Binyamin, were thirty-five thousand and four hundred.
38 Of the children of Dan, their generations, by their families, by their fathers' houses, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war; 39 those that were numbered of them, of the tribe of Dan, were sixty-two thousand and seven hundred.
40 Of the children of Asher, their generations, by their families, by their fathers' houses, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war; 41 those that were numbered of them, of the tribe of Asher, were forty-one thousand and five hundred.
42 Of the children of Naftali, their generations, by their families, by their fathers' houses, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war; 43 those that were numbered of them, of the tribe of Naftali, were fifty-three thousand and four hundred.
44 These are those that were numbered, which Moshe and Aharon numbered, and the princes of Yisra'el, being twelve men; they were each one for his fathers' house. 45 And all those that were numbered of B'nei Yisra'el by their fathers' houses, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war in Yisra'el; 46 even all those that were numbered were six hundred three thousand five hundred and fifty. 47 But the Levi'im after the tribe of their fathers were not numbered among them.
48 And יהוה spoke unto Moshe, saying, 49 "But the tribe of Levi you shall not number, neither shall you take the sum of them among B'nei Yisra'el; 50 but appoint the Levi'im over the Mishkan HaEdut, and over all the furnishings thereof, and over all that belongs to it; they shall bear the Mishkan, and all the furnishings thereof; and they shall minister unto it, and shall encamp round about the Mishkan. 51 And when the Mishkan sets forward, the Levi'im shall take it down; and when the Mishkan is to be pitched, the Levi'im shall set it up; and the common man that draws nigh shall be put to death. 52 And B'nei Yisra'el shall pitch their tents, every man with his own camp, and every man with his own standard, according to their hosts. 53 But the Levi'im shall pitch round about the Mishkan HaEdut, that there be no wrath upon the assembly of B'nei Yisra'el; and the Levi'im shall keep the charge of the Mishkan HaEdut." 54 Thus did B'nei Yisra'el; according to all that יהוה commanded Moshe, so did they.

HAFTARAH

Hoshe'ah Chapter 2
1 "Yet the number of B'nei Yisra'el shall be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured nor numbered; and it shall come to pass that, instead of that which was said unto them, 'You are not My people', it shall be said unto them, 'You are the children of the living Elohim.' 2 And B'nei Yehudah and B'nei Yisra'el shall be gathered together, and they shall appoint themselves one head, and shall go up out of the land; for great shall be the day of Yizre'el. 3 Say unto your brethren, 'Ami'; and to your sisters, 'Rukhamah." 4 Plead with your mother. Plead; for she is not My wife, neither am I her husband; and let her put away her harlotries from her face, and her adulteries from between her breasts; 5 lest I strip her naked, and set her as in the day that she was born, and make her as a wilderness, and set her like a dry land, and slay her with thirst. 6 And I will not have mercy upon her children; for they are children of harlotry. 7 For their mother has played the harlot, she that conceived them has done shamefully; for she said, 'I will go after my lovers, that give me my bread and my water, my wool and my flax, my oil and my drink.' 8 Therefore, behold, I will hedge up your way with thorns, and I will make a wall against her, that she shall not find her paths. 9 And she shall run after her lovers, but she shall not overtake them, and she shall seek them, but shall not find them; then shall she say, 'I will go and return to my first husband; for then was it better with me than now.' 10 For she did not know that it was I that gave her the grain, and the wine, and the oil, and multiplied unto her silver and gold, which they used for Ba'al. 11 Therefore will I take back My grain in the time thereof, and My wine in the season thereof, and will snatch away My wool and My flax given to cover her nakedness. 12 And now will I uncover her shame in the sight of her lovers, and none shall deliver her out of My hand. 13 I will also cause all her mirth to cease, her feast, her renewed moon, and her sabbath, and all her appointed times. 14 And I will lay waste her vines and her fig trees, whereof she has said, 'These are my hire that my lovers have given me'; and I will make them a forest, and the beasts of the field shall eat them. 15 And I will visit upon her the days of the Ba'alim, wherein she offered unto them, and decked herself with her ear-rings and her jewels, and went after her lovers, and forgot Me, says יהוה ."
16 "Therefore, behold, I will allure her, and bring her into the wilderness, and speak tenderly unto her. 17 And I will give her her vineyards from there, and the valley of Akhor for a door of hope; and she shall respond there, as in the days of her youth, and as in the day when she came up out of the land of Mitzrayim. 18 And it shall be at that day, says יהוה , that you shall call Me 'Ishi', and shall call Me no more 'Ba'ali'. 19 For I will take away the names of the Ba'alim out of her mouth, and they shall no more be mentioned by their name. 20 And in that day will I make a Brit for them with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven, and with the creeping things of the ground; and I will break the bow and the sword and the battle out of the land, and will make them to lie down safely. 21 And I will betroth you unto Me forever; yes, I will betroth you unto Me in tzedaka, and in fairness, and in lovingkindness, and in mercies. 22 And I will betroth you unto Me in faithfulness; and you shall know יהוה ."

1 And after these things, I saw four Malakhim standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth nor on the sea nor on any tree. 2 And I saw another Malakh, and he ascended from the direction of the rising sun, having the seal of the living Elohim; and he cried with a loud voice to the four Malakhim to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea, saying, 3 "Do not hurt the earth, neither the sea nor the trees, until we have sealed the servants of our Elohim upon their foreheads." 4 And I heard the number of those who were sealed; and it was a hundred and forty-four thousand, of all the tribes of B'nei Yisra'el. 5 Of the tribe of Yehudah were sealed twelve thousand; of the tribe of Re'uven, twelve thousand; of the tribe of Gad, twelve thousand; 6 of the tribe of Asher, twelve thousand; of the tribe of Naftali, twelve thousand; of the tribe of Menasheh, twelve thousand; 7 Of the tribe of Shimon, twelve thousand; of the tribe of Levi, twelve thousand; of the tribe of Issakhar, twelve thousand; 8 of the tribe of Zevulun, twelve thousand; of the tribe of Yosef, twelve thousand; of the tribe of Binyamin, twelve thousand.
9 After these things, I beheld, and lo, a great multitude which no man could number, of every nation, and people, and kindred, and tongue stood before the throne and in the presence of HaSeh, clothed with white robes and with palms in their hands, 10 and cried with a loud voice, saying, “Yeshua[h] belongs to our Elohim, who sits upon the throne, and to HaSeh.” 11 And all the Malakhim stood round about the throne and about the elders and the four creatures, and fell before His throne on their faces, and worshipped Elohim, 12 saying, “Amein! Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honor, and power, and might to our Elohim forever and ever. Amein!”
13 And one of the Z'kenim answered, saying to me, “Who are these who are arrayed in white robes? And from where did they come?” 14 And I said to him, “My Adon, you know.” And he said to me, “These are those who came out of HaTzarah HaG'dolah, and have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of HaSeh. 15 Therefore they are before the throne of Elohim, and serve Him day and night in His Heikhal; and he who sits on the throne shall shelter them. 16 They shall hunger no more, neither thirst anymore; neither shall they be stricken by the sun nor by the heat. 17 For HaSeh who is in the midst of the throne shall shepherd them and shall lead them to fountains of Mayim Khayim. And Elohim shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

Luka Chapter 16
1 And He spoke a mashal to His Talmidim, saying, “There was a rich man who had a steward, and they accused him that he was wasting his wealth. 2 So his master called him and said to him, ‘What is this that I hear concerning you? Give me an account of your stewardship; for no longer can you be a steward for me.' 3 Then the steward said to himself, ‘What will I do? For my Adon will take away from me the stewardship. I cannot dig, and I am ashamed to beg. 4 Now I know what I will do so that when I leave the stewardship, they will receive me in their houses.' 5 And he called his Adon’s debtors, one by one, and said to the first, ‘How much do you owe my Adon?' 6 He said to him, ‘A hundred measures of oil.' He said to him, ‘Take your note; sit down quickly, and write fifty measures.' 7 And he said to another, ‘And you, what do you owe to my Adon?' He said to him, ‘One hundred bushels of wheat.' He said to him, ‘Take your note, and sit down and write eighty bushels.' 8 And Adoneinu praised the unjust steward because he had done wisely; for the children of this world are wiser in their generation than the children of light. 9 And I also say to you, use this earthly wealth, however acquired, to make friends, so that when it is gone, they will receive you and you will have everlasting habitation. 10 He who is faithful with little is also faithful with much; and he who is dishonest with little is also dishonest with much. 11 If, therefore, you are not faithful with the wealth of iniquity, who will believe that there is any truth in you? 12 And if you are not found faithful with that which is not your own, who will give you that which is your own? 13 No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and like the other; or he will honor one and despise the other. You cannot serve Elohim and wealth.” 14 When the P'rushim heard all these things, because they loved money, they ridiculed Him. 15 But Yeshua said to them, “You are the ones who make yourselves righteous before men; but Elohim knows your hearts. For what is highly esteemed among men is disgusting in the presence of Elohim. 16 The Torah and Nevi'im were until Yokhanan; from that time Malkhut HaElohim is declared, and everyone presses to enter into it. 17 It is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one letter of the Torah to pass away. 18 He who sends his wife away and marries another commits adultery; and he who marries the one who is so repudiated commits adultery.”
19 “There was a rich man, who used to wear purple and fine linen, and every day he made merry very lavishly. 20 And there was a poor man named Elazar, who was laid down at that rich man’s door, afflicted with boils; 21 he longed to fill his stomach with the crumbs that fell from the rich man’s table. The dogs also came and licked his boils. 22 Now it happened that the poor man died, and the Malakhim carried him into Avraham’s bosom; and the rich man also died and was buried. 23 And while he was tormented in She'ol, he lifted up his eyes from a distance, and saw Avraham with Elazar in his bosom. 24 And he called in a loud voice, saying, ‘O my father Avraham, have mercy on me and send Elazar to dip his finger in water and wet my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.' 25 Avraham said to him, ‘My son, remember, you received your pleasures when you were living, and Elazar his hardships; and behold now he is comfortable here, and you are suffering. 26 Besides all these things, a great gulf is fixed between us and you, so that those who wish to cross over from here to you cannot, neither from there to cross over to us.' 27 He said to him, ‘If that is so, I beseech you, O my father, to send him to my father’s house; 28 for I have five brothers. Let him go and testify to them so that they may not also come to this place of torment.' 29 Avraham said to him, ‘They have Moshe and the Nevi'im; let them hear them.' 30 But he said to him, ‘No, my father Avraham; but if only a man from the dead goes to them, they will repent.' 31 Avraham said to him, ‘If they will not hear Moshe and the Nevi'im, even if a man rises from the dead, they will not believe in Him.'”

Luka Chapter 17
1 And Yeshua said to His Talmidim, “It is impossible but that offenses should not come; but woe to him by whose hand they come! 2 It would be better for him that a donkey’s millstone were hanged on his neck, and he were thrown into the sea, than to cause one of these little ones to stumble. 3 Beware among yourselves. If your brother should sin, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him. 4 And if he should offend you seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn to you and say, ‘I repent,' forgive him.” 5 And the Shlikhim said to Adoneinu, “Increase our Emunah.” 6 He said to them, “If you have Emunah even as a grain of mustard seed, you could say to this tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,' and it would obey you. 7 Now, which of you has a servant who ploughs, or feeds sheep, and if he should come from the field, would say to him, ‘Enter in and sit down?' 8 But he will rather say to him, ‘Prepare something that I may have my supper, and gird yourself and serve me until I eat and drink; and then you also can eat and drink.' 9 What! Will that servant receive praise, because he did what he was commanded to do? I do not think so. 10 Even you also, when you have done all the things which are commanded you, say, ‘We are idle servants; we have only done what was our duty to do.'”
