TORAH

BaMidbar Chapter 4
21 And יהוה spoke unto Moshe saying, 22 "Take the sum of the sons of Gershon also, by their fathers' houses, by their families; 23 from thirty years old and upward until fifty years old shall you number them: all that enter in to wait upon the service, to do service in the Ohel Mo'ed. 24 This is the service of the families of the Gershonim, in serving and in bearing burdens: 25 they shall bear the curtains of the Mishkan, and the Ohel Mo'ed, its covering, and the covering of sealskin that is above upon it, and the screen for the door of the Ohel Mo'ed; 26 and the hangings of the court, and the screen for the door of the gate of the court, which is by the Mishkan and by the Mizbe'akh round about, and their cords, and all the instruments of their service, and whatever there may be to do with them, therein shall they serve. 27 At the commandment of Aharon and his sons shall be all the service of the sons of the Gershuni, in all their burden, and in all their service; and you shall appoint unto them in charge of all their burden. 28 This is the service of the families of the sons of the Gershuni in the Ohel Mo'ed; and their charge shall be under the hand of Itamar Ben Aharon the kohen."
29 "As for the sons of Merari, you shall number them by their families, by their fathers' houses; 30 from thirty years old and upward even unto fifty years old shall you number them, every one that enters upon the service, to do the work of the Ohel Mo'ed. 31 And this is the charge of their burden, according to all their service in the Ohel Mo'ed: the boards of the Mishkan, and the bars thereof, and the pillars thereof, and the sockets thereof; 32 and the pillars of the court round about, and their sockets, and their pins, and their cords, even all their appurtenance, and all that pertains to their service; and by name you shall appoint the instruments of the charge of their burden. 33 This is the service of the families of the sons of Merari, according to all their service, in the Ohel Mo'ed, under the hand of Itamar Ben Aharon the kohen."
34 And Moshe and Aharon and the princes of the assembly numbered the sons of the Kehati by their families, and by their fathers' houses, 35 from thirty years old and upward even unto fifty years old, every one that entered upon the service, for service in the Ohel Mo'ed. 36 And those that were numbered of them by their families were two thousand seven hundred and fifty. 37 These are they that were numbered of the families of the Kehati, of all that did serve in the Ohel Mo'ed, whom Moshe and Aharon numbered according to the commandment of יהוה by the hand of Moshe.
38 And those that were numbered of the sons of Gershon, by their families, and by their fathers' houses, 39 from thirty years old and upward even unto fifty years old, every one that entered upon the service, for service in the Ohel Mo'ed, 40 even those that were numbered of them, by their families, by their fathers' houses, were two thousand and six hundred and thirty. 41 These are they that were numbered of the families of the sons of Gershon, of all that did serve in the Ohel Mo'ed, whom Moshe and Aharon numbered according to the commandment of יהוה .
42 And those that were numbered of the families of the sons of Merari, by their families, by their fathers' houses, 43 from thirty years old and upward even unto fifty years old, every one that entered upon the service, for service in the Ohel Mo'ed, 44 even those that were numbered of them by their families, were three thousand and two hundred. 45 These are they that were numbered of the families of the sons of Merari, whom Moshe and Aharon numbered according to the commandment of יהוה by the hand of Moshe.
46 All those that were numbered of the Levi'im, whom Moshe and Aharon and the princes of Yisra'el numbered, by their families, and by their fathers' houses, 47 from thirty years old and upward even unto fifty years old, every one that entered in to do the work of service, and the work of bearing burdens in the Ohel Mo'ed, 48 even those that were numbered of them, were eight thousand and five hundred and eighty. 49 According to the commandment of יהוה they were appointed by the hand of Moshe, every one to his service, and to his burden; they were also numbered, as יהוה commanded Moshe.

BaMidbar Chapter 5
1 And יהוה spoke unto Moshe, saying 2 "Command B'nei Yisra'el, that they put out of the camp every leper, and every one that has an issue, and whoever is unclean by the dead; 3 both male and female shall you put out, without the camp shall you put them; that they defile not their camp, in the midst whereof I dwell." 4 And B'nei Yisra'el did so, and put them out without the camp; as יהוה spoke unto Moshe, so did B'nei Yisra'el.
5 And יהוה spoke unto Moshe, saying, 6 "Speak unto B'nei Yisra'el, "When a man or woman shall commit any sin that men commit, to commit a trespass against יהוה , and that soul is guilty, 7 then they shall confess their sin which they have done; and he shall make restitution for his guilt in full, and add unto it the fifth part thereof, and give it unto him in respect of whom he has been guilty. 8 But if the man has no kinsman to whom restitution may be made for the guilt, the restitution for guilt which is made shall be for יהוה , even the kohen's; besides the ram of kippurim, whereby atonement shall be made for him. 9 And every terumah of all the consecrated things of B'nei Yisra'el, which they present unto the kohen, shall be his. 10 And every man’s hallowed things shall be his: whatever any man gives the kohen, it shall be his'."

HAFTARAH

Shoftim Chapter 13
2 And there was a certain man of Tzarah, of the family of the Dani, whose name was MaNo'akh; and his wife was barren, and bore not. 3 And The Malakh יהוה appeared unto the woman, and said unto her, "Behold now, you are barren, and have not borne; but you shall conceive, and bear a son. 4 Now therefore beware, I pray, and drink no wine nor strong drink, and eat not any unclean thing. 5 For, lo, you shall conceive, and bear a son; and no razor shall come upon his head; for the child shall be a Nazir to Elohim from the womb; and he shall begin to save Yisra'el out of the hand of the P'lishtim." 6 Then the woman came and told her husband, saying, "A man of Elohim came unto me, and his countenance was like the countenance of The Malakh of Elohim, very terrible; and I asked him not from whence he was, neither did he tell me his name; 7 but he said unto me, 'Behold, you shall conceive, and bear a son; and now drink no wine nor strong drink, and eat not any unclean thing; for the child shall be a Nazir to Elohim from the womb to the day of his death'."
8 Then MaNo'akh entreated יהוה , and said, "Oh, יהוה , I pray, let the man of Elohim, whom You did send, come again unto us, and teach us what we shall do unto the child that shall be born." 9 And Elohim hearkened to the voice of MaNo'akh; and The Malakh of Elohim came again unto the woman as she sat in the field; but MaNo'akh her husband was not with her. 10 And the woman made haste, and ran, and told her husband, and said unto him, "Behold, the man has appeared unto me, that came unto me that day." 11 And MaNo'akh arose, and went after his wife, and came to the man, and said unto him, "Are you the man that spoke unto the woman?" And he said, "I am." 12 And MaNo'akh said, "Now when Your D'var comes to pass, what shall be the rule for the child, and what shall be done with him?" 13 And The Malakh יהוה said unto MaNo'akh, "Of all that I said unto the woman let her beware. 14 She may not eat of any thing that comes of the grapevine, neither let her drink wine or strong drink, nor eat any unclean thing; all that I commanded her let her observe."
15 And MaNo'akh said unto The Malakh יהוה , "I pray, let us detain you, that we may make ready a kid for you." 16 And The Malakh יהוה said unto MaNo'akh, "Though you detain me, I will not eat of your bread; and if you will make ready a burnt-offering, you must offer it unto יהוה ." For MaNo'akh knew not that he was The Malakh יהוה . And 17 MaNo'akh said unto The Malakh יהוה , "What is Your Name, that when Your words come to pass, we may do you honor?" 18 And The Malakh יהוה said unto him, "Why do you ask after My Name, seeing it is My Wonder?"
19 So MaNo'akh took the kid with the meal-offering, and offered it upon the rock unto יהוה ; and He did wondrously, and MaNo'akh and his wife looked on. 20 For it came to pass, when the flame went up toward heaven from off the altar, that The Malakh יהוה ascended in the flame of the altar; and MaNo'akh and his wife looked on; and they fell on their faces to the ground. 21 But The Malakh יהוה did no more appear to MaNo'akh or to his wife. Then MaNo'akh knew that he was The Malakh יהוה . And 22 MaNo'akh said unto his wife, "We shall surely die, because we have seen Elohim." 23 But his wife said unto him, "If יהוה were pleased to kill us, He would not have received a burnt-offering and a meal-offering at our hand, neither would He have shown us all these things, nor would He at this time have told such things as these." 24 And the woman bore a son, and called his name Shimshon; and the child grew, and יהוה blessed him. 25 And the Ru'akh of יהוה began to move him in Makhaneh-Dan, between Tzarah and Eshta'ol.

Ma'asei HaShlikhim Chapter 21
17 When we arrived at Yerushalayim, the brethren welcomed us gladly. 18 And the next day when all the elders were present, we went in with Pavlos to Ya'akov. 19 And when we had saluted them, Pavlos told them in successive order everything that Elohim had done among the Goyim by his ministry. 20 And when they heard it, they glorified Elohim and said to Pavlos, “Our brother, see how many thousands there are in Y'hudah who are believers, and they are all zealous for the Torah: 21 but they have been informed about you that you teach all the Yehudim who are among the Goyim to forsake the Torah of Moshe, stating that they ought not to circumcise their children, neither to follow after the customs of the Torah. 22 Now, therefore, they have heard that you have come here. 23 Do, therefore, what we tell you. We have four men who have vowed to purify themselves; 24 take them and go purify yourself with them, and pay their expenses so that they may shave their heads; then everyone will know that what has been said against you is a lie, and that you yourself uphold the Torah and obey it. 25 As for the believers amongst the Goyim, we have written that they should abstain from the things sacrificed to idols, and from fornication, and from what is strangled, and from blood." 26 Then Pavlos took the men and on the next day he was purified with them, and he entered into the Heikhal, informing them how to complete the days of purification until the gift of every one of them was offered.
27 And when the seventh day approached, and the Y'hudim from Asia Minor saw him in the Heikhal, they stirred up all the people against him and laid hands on him, 28 and cried out, saying, “Men of Yisra'el, help! This is the man who teaches everywhere against our people, against the Torah, and against this place; and further, he has brought Arame'ans into the Heikhal and has defiled this makom kadosh.” 29 For they had previously seen Trophimus, the Efesi, with him in the city, and they thought he had entered into the Heikhal with Pavlos. 30 So the whole city was in a tumult, and all the people ran together; they seized Pavlos and dragged him out of the Heikhal; and the doors were immediately shut. 31 And as the mob sought to kill him, the news reached the captain of the company that all the city was in an uproar. 32 He immediately took a centurion and many soldiers and ran down to them; and when they saw the chief captain and the soldiers, they ceased beating Pavlos.

Yokhanan Chapter 11
1 Now there was a man who was sick, Lazar of the town of Beit Anya, the brother of Miryam and Marta. 2 This is the Miryam who anointed the feet of Yeshua with perfume and wiped them with her hair. The Lazar who was sick was her brother. 3 His two sisters therefore sent to Yeshua, saying, “Adoneinu, behold, the one whom you love is sick.” 4 Yeshua said, “This is not a sickness of death, but for the sake of the glory of Elohim, that Ben HaElohim may be glorified on his account.” 5 Now Yeshua loved Marta and Miryam and Lazar. 6 When He heard he was sick, He remained two days in the place where He was. 7 After that, He said to His Talmidim, “Come, let us go again to Y'hudah.” 8 His Talmidim said to Him, “Rabbi, not long ago the Y'hudim wanted to stone you, and yet are you going there again?” 9 Yeshua said to them, “Are there not twelve hours in the day? If a man walks by daytime, he will not stumble, because he sees the light of this world. 10 But if a man travels at nighttime, he will stumble, because there is no light in it.” 11 Yeshua said these things, and after that He said to them, “Our friend Lazar is asleep, but I am going to awaken him.” 12 His Talmidim said to Him, “Adoneinu, if he is sleeping, he will get well.” 13 But Yeshua spoke of his death, and they thought that what He said was sleepiness. 14 Then Yeshua said to them plainly, “Lazar is dead; 15 and I am glad I was not there, for your sakes, so that you may believe; but let us walk there.” 16 Then T'oma, who is called the Twin, said to his fellow Talmidim, “Let us also go and die with him.”
17 So Yeshua came to Beit Anya, and He found that Lazar had been four days in the tomb. 18 Now Beit Anya was towards Yerushalayim, a distance of about two miles. 19 And many Yehudim kept coming to Marta and Miryam to comfort their hearts concerning their brother. 20 When Marta heard that Yeshua had come, she went out to meet Him; but Miryam sat in the house. 21 Then Marta said to Yeshua, “My Adon, if you had been here, my brother would not have died. 22 But even now I know that whatever you ask of Elohim, He will give you.” 23 Yeshua said to her, “Your brother will rise up.” 24 Marta said to him, “I know he will rise up in the resurrection at the last day.” 25 Yeshua said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in me, even though he dies, he shall live. 26 And whoever is alive and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?” 27 She said to him, “Yes, My Adon; I do believe that you are the Mashi'akh, Ben HaElohim, who is to come to the world.” 28 And when she had said these things, she went away and called her sister Miryam secretly and said to her, “Our Rabbi has come, and He is calling for you.” 29 When Miryam heard it, she rose up quickly and came to Him. 30 Yeshua had not yet come into the town, but He was still at the same place where Marta met Him. 31 The Yehudim also who were with her in the house, comforting her, when they saw Miryam rise up quickly and go out, they followed her, for they thought she was going to the tomb to weep. 32 When Miryam came where Yeshua was and saw Him, she threw herself at His feet and said to Him, “My Adon, if you had been here, my brother would not have died.”
33 When Yeshua saw her weeping and the Yehudim who had come with her weeping, He was moved in His spirit and was greatly disturbed. 34 And He said, “Where have you laid him?” They said to him, “Adoneinu, come and see.” 35 And Yeshua was in tears. 36 The Yehudim then said, “See how much He loved him!” 37 Some of them said, “Could not this man, who opened the eyes of that blind man, have also kept this man from dying?” 38 As Yeshua was disturbed in Himself because of them, and He came to the tomb. That tomb was a cave, and a stone was placed at the entrance. 39 Yeshua said, “Take away this stone.” Marta, the sister of the dead man, said to Him, “My Adon, already his body stinks, for he has been dead four days.” 40 Yeshua said to her, “Did not I say to you that if you believe, you will see the glory of Elohim?” 41 So they took away the stone. And Yeshua lifted His eyes upwards and said, “O Abba, I thank You, for You have heard me, 42 and I know that You always hear me; but I say these things just because of this people who stand around, so that they may believe that You have sent me.” 43 And when He had said this, He cried with a loud voice, “Lazar, come out!” 44 And the dead man came out, his hands and feet bound with burial clothes, and his face bound with a burial napkin. Yeshua said to them, “Loose him and let him go.”
45 Many of the Yehudim who had come to Miryam, when they saw what Yeshua had done, trusted in Him. 46 And some of them went to the P'rushim and told them everything Yeshua had done. 47 So the chief Kohanim and the P'rushim gathered together and said, “What shall we do? For this man does many miracles. 48 If we allow Him to continue like this, all men will trust in Him, and the Romans will come and take over both our country and our people.” 49 But one of them, called Kayafah, who was The Kohen HaGadol for that year, said to them, “You know nothing, 50 nor are you reasoning that it is much better for us that one man should die instead of the people, and not all the people perish.” 51 He did not say this of himself; but because he was The Kohen HaGadol for that year, he prophesied that Yeshua had to die for the sake of the people; 52 and not only for the sake of the people, but also to gather together the children of Elohim who are scattered abroad. 53 And from that very day, they decided to kill him. 54 Yeshua therefore did not walk openly among the Yehudim, but went away there to a place which is close to the wilderness, in the province of Efrayim; and he remained there with His Talmidim.
