Shemot Chapter 25
1 And יהוה spoke unto Moshe, saying, 2 'Speak unto B'nei Yisra'el, that they take for Me an offering; of every man whose heart makes him willing you shall take My offering. 3 And this is the offering which you shall take of them: gold, and silver, and brass; 4 and blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine linen, and goats' hair; 5 and rams' skins dyed red, and sealskins, and acacia-wood; 6 oil for the light, spices for the anointing oil, and for the sweet incense; 7 onyx stones, and stones to be set, for the Efod, and for the Breastplate. 8 And let them make Me a Mikdash, that I may dwell among them. 9 According to all that I show you, the pattern of the Mishkan, and the pattern of all the furnishings thereof, even so shall you make it. 10 And they shall make an Aron of acacia-wood: two cubits and a half shall be the length thereof, and a cubit and a half the breadth thereof, and a cubit and a half the height thereof. 11 And you shall overlay it with pure gold, within and without shall you overlay it, and shall make upon it a crown of gold round about. 12 And you shall cast four rings of gold for it, and put them in the four feet thereof; and two rings shall be on the one side of it, and two rings on the other side of it. 13 And you shall make staves of acacia-wood, and overlay them with gold. 14 And you shall put the staves into the rings on the sides of the Aron, wherewith to bear the Aron. 15 The staves shall be in the rings of the Aron; they shall not be taken from it. 16 And you shall put into the Aron the testimony which I shall give you. 17 And you shall make a Kaporet of pure gold: two cubits and a half shall be the length thereof, and a cubit and a half the breadth thereof. 18 And you shall make two Keruvim of gold; of beaten work shall you make them, at the two ends of the Kaporet. 19 And make one Keruv at the one end, and one Keruv at the other end; of one piece with the Kaporet shall you make the Keruvim of the two ends thereof. 20 And the Keruvim shall spread out their wings on high, screening the Kaporet with their wings, with their faces one to another; toward the Kaporet shall the faces of the Keruvim be. 21 And you shall put the Kaporet above upon the Aron; and in the Aron you shall put the testimony that I shall give you. 22 And there I will meet with you, and I will speak with you from above the Kaporet, from between the two Keruvim which are upon the Aron HaEdut, of all things which I will command you unto B'nei Yisra'el.
23 And you shall make a Shulkhan of acacia-wood: two cubits shall be the length thereof, and a cubit the breadth thereof, and a cubit and a half the height thereof. 24 And you shall overlay it with pure gold, and make thereto a crown of gold round about. 25 And you shall make unto it a border of a handbreadth round about, and you shall make a golden crown to the border thereof round about. 26 And you shall make for it four rings of gold, and put the rings in the four corners that are on the four feet thereof. 27 Close by the border shall the rings be, for places for the staves to bear the Shulkhan. 28 And you shall make the staves of acacia-wood, and overlay them with gold, that the Shulkhan may be borne with them. 29 And you shall make the dishes thereof, and the pans thereof, and the jars thereof, and the bowls thereof, wherewith to pour out; of pure gold shall you make them. 30 And you shall set upon the Shulkhan Lekhem Panim before Me always.
31 And you shall make a Menorah of pure gold: of beaten work shall the Menorah be made, even its base, and its shaft; its cups, its knops, and its flowers, shall be of one piece with it. 32 And there shall be six branches going out of the sides thereof: three branches of the Menorah out of the one side thereof, and three branches of the Menorah out of the other side thereof; 33 three cups made like almond-blossoms in one branch, a knop and a flower; and three cups made like almond-blossoms in the other branch, a knop and a flower; so for the six branches going out of the Menorah. 34 And in the Menorah four cups made like almond-blossoms, the knops thereof, and the flowers thereof. 35 And a knop under two branches of one piece with it, and a knop under two branches of one piece with it, and a knop under two branches of one piece with it, for the six branches going out of the Menorah. 36 Their knops and their branches shall be of one piece with it; the whole of it one beaten work of pure gold. 37 And you shall make the lamps thereof, seven; and they shall light the lamps thereof, to give light over against it. 38 And the tongs thereof, and the snuffdishes thereof, shall be of pure gold. 39 Of a talent of pure gold shall it be made, with all these vessels. 40And see that you make them after their pattern, which is being shown you in the mount.

א וַיְדַבֵּר יהוה אֶל מֹשֶׁה לֵּאמֹר. ב דַּבֵּר אֶל בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְיִקְחוּ לִי תְּרוּמָה מֵאֵת כָּל אִישׁ אֲשֶׁר יִדְּבֶנּוּ לִבּוֹ תִּקְחוּ אֶת תְּרוּמָתִי. ג וְזֹאת הַתְּרוּמָה אֲשֶׁר תִּקְחוּ מֵאִתָּם זָהָב וָכֶסֶף וּנְחֹשֶׁת. דוּתְכֵלֶת וְאַרְגָּמָן וְתוֹלַעַת שָׁנִי וְשֵׁשׁ וְעִזִּים. ה וְעֹרֹת אֵילִם מְאָדָּמִים וְעֹרֹת תְּחָשִׁים וַעֲצֵי שִׁטִּים. ושֶׁמֶן לַמָּאֹר בְּשָׂמִים לְשֶׁמֶן הַמִּשְׁחָה וְלִקְטֹרֶת הַסַּמִּים. ז אַבְנֵי שֹׁהַם וְאַבְנֵי מִלֻּאִים לָאֵפֹד וְלַחֹשֶׁן. ח וְעָשׂוּ לִי מִקְדָּשׁ וְשָׁכַנְתִּי בְּתוֹכָם. ט כְּכֹל אֲשֶׁר אֲנִי מַרְאֶה אוֹתְךָ אֵת תַּבְנִית הַמִּשְׁכָּן וְאֵת תַּבְנִית כָּל כֵּלָיו וְכֵן תַּעֲשׂוּ. י וְעָשׂוּ אֲרוֹן עֲצֵי שִׁטִּים אַמָּתַיִם וָחֵצִי אָרְכּוֹ וְאַמָּה וָחֵצִי רָחְבּוֹ וְאַמָּה וָחֵצִי קֹמָתוֹ. יא וְצִפִּיתָ אֹתוֹ זָהָב טָהוֹר מִבַּיִת וּמִחוּץ תְּצַפֶּנּוּ וְעָשִׂיתָ עָלָיו זֵר זָהָב סָבִיב. יב וְיָצַקְתָּ לּוֹ אַרְבַּע טַבְּעֹת זָהָב וְנָתַתָּה עַל אַרְבַּע פַּעֲמֹתָיו וּשְׁתֵּי טַבָּעֹת עַל צַלְעוֹ הָאֶחָת וּשְׁתֵּי טַבָּעֹת עַל צַלְעוֹ הַשֵּׁנִית. יגוְעָשִׂיתָ בַדֵּי עֲצֵי שִׁטִּים וְצִפִּיתָ אֹתָם זָהָב. יד וְהֵבֵאתָ אֶת הַבַּדִּים בַּטַּבָּעֹת עַל צַלְעֹת הָאָרֹן לָשֵׂאת אֶת הָאָרֹן בָּהֶם. טו בְּטַבְּעֹת הָאָרֹן יִהְיוּ הַבַּדִּים לֹא יָסֻרוּ מִמֶּנּוּ. טז וְנָתַתָּ אֶל הָאָרֹן אֵת הָעֵדֻת אֲשֶׁר אֶתֵּן אֵלֶיךָ. יז וְעָשִׂיתָ כַפֹּרֶת זָהָב טָהוֹר אַמָּתַיִם וָחֵצִי אָרְכָּהּ וְאַמָּה וָחֵצִי רָחְבָּהּ. יחוְעָשִׂיתָ שְׁנַיִם כְּרֻבִים זָהָב מִקְשָׁה תַּעֲשֶׂה אֹתָם מִשְּׁנֵי קְצוֹת הַכַּפֹּרֶת. יט וַעֲשֵׂה כְּרוּב אֶחָד מִקָּצָה מִזֶּה וּכְרוּב אֶחָד מִקָּצָה מִזֶּה מִן הַכַּפֹּרֶת תַּעֲשׂוּ אֶת הַכְּרֻבִים עַל שְׁנֵי קְצוֹתָיו. כ וְהָיוּ הַכְּרֻבִים פֹּרְשֵׂי כְנָפַיִם לְמַעְלָה סֹכְכִים בְּכַנְפֵיהֶם עַל הַכַּפֹּרֶת וּפְנֵיהֶם אִישׁ אֶל אָחִיו אֶל הַכַּפֹּרֶת יִהְיוּ פְּנֵי הַכְּרֻבִים. כא וְנָתַתָּ אֶת הַכַּפֹּרֶת עַל הָאָרֹן מִלְמָעְלָה וְאֶל הָאָרֹן תִּתֵּן אֶת הָעֵדֻת אֲשֶׁר אֶתֵּן אֵלֶיךָ. כב וְנוֹעַדְתִּי לְךָ שָׁם וְדִבַּרְתִּי אִתְּךָ מֵעַל הַכַּפֹּרֶת מִבֵּין שְׁנֵי הַכְּרֻבִים אֲשֶׁר עַל אֲרוֹן הָעֵדֻת אֵת כָּל אֲשֶׁר אֲצַוֶּה אוֹתְךָ אֶל בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל.
כג וְעָשִׂיתָ שֻׁלְחָן עֲצֵי שִׁטִּים אַמָּתַיִם אָרְכּוֹ וְאַמָּה רָחְבּוֹ וְאַמָּה וָחֵצִי קֹמָתוֹ. כד וְצִפִּיתָ אֹתוֹ זָהָב טָהוֹר וְעָשִׂיתָ לּוֹ זֵר זָהָב סָבִיב. כה וְעָשִׂיתָ לּוֹ מִסְגֶּרֶת טֹפַח סָבִיב וְעָשִׂיתָ זֵר זָהָב לְמִסְגַּרְתּוֹ סָבִיב. כו וְעָשִׂיתָ לּוֹ אַרְבַּע טַבְּעֹת זָהָב וְנָתַתָּ אֶת הַטַּבָּעֹת עַל אַרְבַּע הַפֵּאֹת אֲשֶׁר לְאַרְבַּע רַגְלָיו. כז לְעֻמַּת הַמִּסְגֶּרֶת תִּהְיֶיןָ הַטַּבָּעֹת לְבָתִּים לְבַדִּים לָשֵׂאת אֶת הַשֻּׁלְחָן. כח וְעָשִׂיתָ אֶת הַבַּדִּים עֲצֵי שִׁטִּים וְצִפִּיתָ אֹתָם זָהָב וְנִשָּׂא בָם אֶת הַשֻּׁלְחָן. כט וְעָשִׂיתָ קְּעָרֹתָיו וְכַפֹּתָיו וּקְשׂוֹתָיו וּמְנַקִּיֹּתָיו אֲשֶׁר יֻסַּךְ בָּהֵן זָהָב טָהוֹר תַּעֲשֶׂה אֹתָם. ל וְנָתַתָּ עַל הַשֻּׁלְחָן לֶחֶם פָּנִים לְפָנַי תָּמִיד.
לא וְעָשִׂיתָ מְנֹרַת זָהָב טָהוֹר מִקְשָׁה תֵּעָשֶׂה הַמְּנוֹרָה יְרֵכָהּ וְקָנָהּ גְּבִיעֶיהָ כַּפְתֹּרֶיהָ וּפְרָחֶיהָ מִמֶּנָּה יִהְיוּ. לב וְשִׁשָּׁה קָנִים יֹצְאִים מִצִּדֶּיהָ שְׁלֹשָׁה קְנֵי מְנֹרָה מִצִּדָּהּ הָאֶחָד וּשְׁלֹשָׁה קְנֵי מְנֹרָה מִצִּדָּהּ הַשֵּׁנִי. לג שְׁלֹשָׁה גְבִעִים מְשֻׁקָּדִים בַּקָּנֶה הָאֶחָד כַּפְתֹּר וָפֶרַח וּשְׁלֹשָׁה גְבִעִים מְשֻׁקָּדִים בַּקָּנֶה הָאֶחָד כַּפְתֹּר וָפָרַח כֵּן לְשֵׁשֶׁת הַקָּנִים הַיֹּצְאִים מִן הַמְּנֹרָה. לד וּבַמְּנֹרָה אַרְבָּעָה גְבִעִים מְשֻׁקָּדִים כַּפְתֹּרֶיהָ וּפְרָחֶיהָ. לה וְכַפְתֹּר תַּחַת שְׁנֵי הַקָּנִים מִמֶּנָּה וְכַפְתֹּר תַּחַת שְׁנֵי הַקָּנִים מִמֶּנָּה וְכַפְתֹּר תַּחַת שְׁנֵי הַקָּנִים מִמֶּנָּה לְשֵׁשֶׁת הַקָּנִים הַיֹּצְאִים מִן הַמְּנֹרָה. לו כַּפְתֹּרֵיהֶם וּקְנֹתָם מִמֶּנָּה יִהְיוּ כֻּלָּהּ מִקְשָׁה אַחַת זָהָב טָהוֹר. לז וְעָשִׂיתָ אֶת נֵרֹתֶיהָ שִׁבְעָה וְהֶעֱלָה אֶת נֵרֹתֶיהָ וְהֵאִיר עַל עֵבֶר פָּנֶיהָ. לח וּמַלְקָחֶיהָ וּמַחְתֹּתֶיהָ זָהָב טָהוֹר. לטכִּכָּר זָהָב טָהוֹר יַעֲשֶׂה אֹתָהּ אֵת כָּל הַכֵּלִים הָאֵלֶּה. מ וּרְאֵה וַעֲשֵׂה בְּתַבְנִיתָם אֲשֶׁר אַתָּה מָרְאֶה בָּהָר. |
Melakhim Alef Chapter 5
12 And he spoke three thousand proverbs; and his songs were a thousand and five. 13 And he spoke of trees, from the cedar that is in Levanon even unto the hyssop that springs out of the wall; he spoke also of beasts, and of fowl, and of creeping things, and of fishes. 14 And there came of all peoples to hear the wisdom of Shlomo, from all kings of the earth, who had heard of his wisdom.
15 And Khiram king of Tzor sent his servants unto Shlomo; for he had heard that they had anointed him Melekh in the room of his father; for Khiram was ever a lover of David. 16 And Shlomo sent to Khiram, saying, 17 "You know how that David my father could not build a Ba'it [House] for the Name of יהוה his Elohim, for the wars which were about him on every side, until יהוה put them under the soles of my feet. 18 But now יהוה my Elohim has given me rest on every side; there is neither adversary, nor evil occurrence. 19 And, behold, I purpose to build a Ba'it for the Name of יהוה my Elohim, as יהוה spoke unto David my father, saying, 'Your son, whom I will set upon your throne in your room, he shall build the Ba'it for My Name'. 20 Now, therefore, command that they hew me cedar trees out of Levanon; and my servants shall be with your servants; and I will give you hire for your servants according to all that you shall say; for you know that there is not among us any that has skill to hew timber like unto the Tzidonim." 21 And it came to pass, when Khiram heard the words of Shlomo, that he rejoiced greatly, and said, "Blessed is יהוה this day, who has given unto David a wise son over this great people." 22 And Khiram sent to Shlomo, saying, "I have heard that which you have sent unto me; I will do all your desire concerning timber of cedar, and concerning timber of cypress. 23 My servants shall bring them down from Levanon unto the sea; and I will make them into rafts to go by sea unto the place that you shall appoint me, and will cause them to be broken up there, and you shall receive them; and you shall accomplish my desire, in giving food for my household." 24 So Khiram gave Shlomo timber of cedar and timber of cypress according to all his desire. 25 And Shlomo gave Khiram twenty thousand measures of wheat for food to his household, and twenty measures of beaten oil; thus gave Shlomo to Khiram year by year.
26 And יהוה gave Shlomo wisdom, as He promised him; and there was shalom between Khiram and Shlomo; and the two made a league together. 27 And Melekh Shlomo raised a levy out of all Yisra'el; and the levy was thirty thousand men. 28 And he sent them to Levanon, ten thousand a month by courses: a month they were in Levanon, and two months at home; and Adoniram was over the levy. 29 And Shlomo had seventy thousand that bore burdens, and eighty thousand that were hewers in the mountains; 30 besides Shlomo's chief officers that were over the work, three thousand and three hundred, who bore rule over the people that wrought in the work. 31 And the Melekh commanded, and they quarried great stones, costly stones, to lay the foundation of the house with hewn stone. 32 And Shlomo's builders and Khiram's builders and the Givlim did fashion them, and prepared the timber and the stones to build HaBa’it

יב וַיְדַבֵּר שְׁלֹשֶׁת אֲלָפִים מָשָׁל; וַיְהִי שִׁירוֹ חֲמִשָּׁה וָאָלֶף. יג וַיְדַבֵּר עַל הָעֵצִים מִן הָאֶרֶז אֲשֶׁר בַּלְּבָנוֹן וְעַד הָאֵזוֹב אֲשֶׁר יֹצֵא בַּקִּיר; וַיְדַבֵּר עַל הַבְּהֵמָה וְעַל הָעוֹף וְעַל הָרֶמֶשׂ וְעַל הַדָּגִים. יד וַיָּבֹאוּ מִכָּל הָעַמִּים לִשְׁמֹעַ אֵת חָכְמַת שְׁלֹמֹה מֵאֵת כָּל מַלְכֵי הָאָרֶץ אֲשֶׁר שָׁמְעוּ אֶת חָכְמָתוֹ.
טו וַיִּשְׁלַח חִירָם מֶלֶךְ צוֹר אֶת עֲבָדָיו אֶל שְׁלֹמֹה כִּי שָׁמַע כִּי אֹתוֹ מָשְׁחוּ לְמֶלֶךְ תַּחַת אָבִיהוּ: כִּי אֹהֵב הָיָה חִירָם לְדָוִד כָּל הַיָּמִים. טז וַיִּשְׁלַח שְׁלֹמֹה אֶל חִירָם לֵאמֹר. יז אַתָּה יָדַעְתָּ אֶת דָּוִד אָבִי כִּי לֹא יָכֹל לִבְנוֹת בַּיִת לְשֵׁם יהוה אֱלֹהָיו מִפְּנֵי הַמִּלְחָמָה אֲשֶׁר סְבָבֻהוּ עַד תֵּת יהוה אֹתָם תַּחַת כַּפּוֹת רגלו (רַגְלָי). יח וְעַתָּה הֵנִיחַ יהוה אֱלֹהַי לִי מִסָּבִיב: אֵין שָׂטָן וְאֵין פֶּגַע רָע. יט וְהִנְנִי אֹמֵר לִבְנוֹת בַּיִת לְשֵׁם יהוה אֱלֹהָי: כַּאֲשֶׁר דִּבֶּר יהוה אֶל דָּוִד אָבִי לֵאמֹר בִּנְךָ אֲשֶׁר אֶתֵּן תַּחְתֶּיךָ עַל כִּסְאֶךָ הוּא יִבְנֶה הַבַּיִת לִשְׁמִי. כ וְעַתָּה צַוֵּה וְיִכְרְתוּ לִי אֲרָזִים מִן הַלְּבָנוֹן וַעֲבָדַי יִהְיוּ עִם עֲבָדֶיךָ וּשְׂכַר עֲבָדֶיךָ אֶתֵּן לְךָ כְּכֹל אֲשֶׁר תֹּאמֵר: כִּי אַתָּה יָדַעְתָּ כִּי אֵין בָּנוּ אִישׁ יֹדֵעַ לִכְרָת עֵצִים כַּצִּדֹנִים. כא וַיְהִי כִּשְׁמֹעַ חִירָם אֶת דִּבְרֵי שְׁלֹמֹה וַיִּשְׂמַח מְאֹד; וַיֹּאמֶר בָּרוּךְ יהוה הַיּוֹם אֲשֶׁר נָתַן לְדָוִד בֵּן חָכָם עַל הָעָם הָרָב הַזֶּה. כב וַיִּשְׁלַח חִירָם אֶל שְׁלֹמֹה לֵאמֹר שָׁמַעְתִּי אֵת אֲשֶׁר שָׁלַחְתָּ אֵלָי; אֲנִי אֶעֱשֶׂה אֶת כָּל חֶפְצְךָ בַּעֲצֵי אֲרָזִים וּבַעֲצֵי בְרוֹשִׁים. כג עֲבָדַי יֹרִדוּ מִן הַלְּבָנוֹן יָמָּה וַאֲנִי אֲשִׂימֵם דֹּבְרוֹת בַּיָּם עַד הַמָּקוֹם אֲשֶׁר תִּשְׁלַח אֵלַי וְנִפַּצְתִּים שָׁם וְאַתָּה תִשָּׂא; וְאַתָּה תַּעֲשֶׂה אֶת חֶפְצִי לָתֵת לֶחֶם בֵּיתִי. כד וַיְהִי חִירוֹם נֹתֵן לִשְׁלֹמֹה עֲצֵי אֲרָזִים וַעֲצֵי בְרוֹשִׁים כָּל חֶפְצוֹ. כה וּשְׁלֹמֹה נָתַן לְחִירָם עֶשְׂרִים אֶלֶף כֹּר חִטִּים מַכֹּלֶת לְבֵיתוֹ וְעֶשְׂרִים כֹּר שֶׁמֶן כָּתִית: כֹּה יִתֵּן שְׁלֹמֹה לְחִירָם שָׁנָה בְשָׁנָה.
כו וַיהוה נָתַן חָכְמָה לִשְׁלֹמֹה כַּאֲשֶׁר דִּבֶּר לוֹ; וַיְהִי שָׁלֹם בֵּין חִירָם וּבֵין שְׁלֹמֹה וַיִּכְרְתוּ בְרִית שְׁנֵיהֶם. כז וַיַּעַל הַמֶּלֶךְ שְׁלֹמֹה מַס מִכָּל יִשְׂרָאֵל; וַיְהִי הַמַּס שְׁלֹשִׁים אֶלֶף אִישׁ. כח וַיִּשְׁלָחֵם לְבָנוֹנָה עֲשֶׂרֶת אֲלָפִים בַּחֹדֶשׁ חֲלִיפוֹת חֹדֶשׁ יִהְיוּ בַלְּבָנוֹן שְׁנַיִם חֳדָשִׁים בְּבֵיתוֹ; וַאֲדֹנִירָם עַל הַמַּס. כט וַיְהִי לִשְׁלֹמֹה שִׁבְעִים אֶלֶף נֹשֵׂא סַבָּל; וּשְׁמֹנִים אֶלֶף חֹצֵב בָּהָר. ל לְבַד מִשָּׂרֵי הַנִּצָּבִים לִשְׁלֹמֹה אֲשֶׁר עַל הַמְּלָאכָה שְׁלֹשֶׁת אֲלָפִים וּשְׁלֹשׁ מֵאוֹת הָרֹדִים בָּעָם הָעֹשִׂים בַּמְּלָאכָה. לא וַיְצַו הַמֶּלֶךְ וַיַּסִּעוּ אֲבָנִים גְּדֹלוֹת אֲבָנִים יְקָרוֹת לְיַסֵּד הַבָּיִת אַבְנֵי גָזִית. לב וַיִּפְסְלוּ בֹּנֵי שְׁלֹמֹה וּבֹנֵי חִירוֹם וְהַגִּבְלִים; וַיָּכִינוּ הָעֵצִים וְהָאֲבָנִים לִבְנוֹת הַבָּיִת. |
Melakhim Alef Chapter 6
1 And it came to pass in the four hundred and eightieth year after B'nei Yisra'el were come out of the land of Mitzrayim, in the fourth year of Shlomo's reign over Yisra'el, in the month Ziv, which is the second month, that he began to build HaBa'it for יהוה .
2 And HaBa'it which Melekh Shlomo built for יהוה , the length thereof was sixty cubits, and the breadth thereof twenty cubits, and the height thereof thirty cubits. 3 And the porch before the Heikhal of HaBa'it, twenty cubits was the length thereof, according to the breadth of HaBa'it; and ten cubits was the breadth thereof before HaBa'it. 4 And for HaBa'it he made windows broad within, and narrow without. 5 And against the wall of HaBa'it he built a side-structure round about, against the walls of HaBa'it round about, both of the Heikhal and of the D'vir [the Kodesh HaKadashim]; and he made side-chambers round about; 6 the nethermost story of the side-structure was five cubits broad, and the middle was six cubits broad, and the third was seven cubits broad; for on the outside he made rebatements in the wall of HaBa'it round about, that the beams should not have hold in the walls of HaBa'it. 7 For HaBa'it, when it was being built, was built of stone made ready at the quarry; and there was neither hammer nor axe nor any tool of iron heard in HaBa'it, while it was being built. 8 The door for the lowest row of chambers was in the right side of HaBa'it, and they went up by winding stairs into the middle row, and out of the middle into the third. 9 So he built HaBa'it, and finished it; and he covered in HaBa'it with planks of cedar over beams. 10 And he built the stories of the side-structure against all HaBa'it, each five cubits high; and they rested on HaBa'it with timber of cedar.
11 And the D’var יהוה came to Shlomo, saying, 12 "As for HaBa'it which you are building, if you will walk in My statutes, and execute My ordinances, and keep all My Mitzvot, to walk in them, then will I establish My D'var with you, which I spoke unto David your father; 13 in that I will dwell therein among B’nei Yisra'el, and will not forsake My people Yisra'el."

א וַיְהִי בִשְׁמוֹנִים שָׁנָה וְאַרְבַּע מֵאוֹת שָׁנָה לְצֵאת בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל מֵאֶרֶץ מִצְרַיִם בַּשָּׁנָה הָרְבִיעִית בְּחֹדֶשׁ זִו הוּא הַחֹדֶשׁ הַשֵּׁנִי לִמְלֹךְ שְׁלֹמֹה עַל יִשְׂרָאֵל; וַיִּבֶן הַבַּיִת לַיהוה .
ב וְהַבַּיִת אֲשֶׁר בָּנָה הַמֶּלֶךְ שְׁלֹמֹה לַיהוה שִׁשִּׁים אַמָּה אָרְכּוֹ וְעֶשְׂרִים רָחְבּוֹ; וּשְׁלֹשִׁים אַמָּה קוֹמָתוֹ. ג וְהָאוּלָם עַל פְּנֵי הֵיכַל הַבַּיִת עֶשְׂרִים אַמָּה אָרְכּוֹ עַל פְּנֵי רֹחַב הַבָּיִת; עֶשֶׂר בָּאַמָּה רָחְבּוֹ עַל פְּנֵי הַבָּיִת. ד וַיַּעַשׂ לַבָּיִת חַלּוֹנֵי שְׁקֻפִים אֲטוּמִים. ה וַיִּבֶן עַל קִיר הַבַּיִת יצוע (יָצִיעַ) סָבִיב אֶת קִירוֹת הַבַּיִת סָבִיב לַהֵיכָל וְלַדְּבִיר; וַיַּעַשׂ צְלָעוֹת סָבִיב. ו היצוע (הַיָּצִיעַ) הַתַּחְתֹּנָה חָמֵשׁ בָּאַמָּה רָחְבָּהּ וְהַתִּיכֹנָה שֵׁשׁ בָּאַמָּה רָחְבָּהּ וְהַשְּׁלִישִׁית שֶׁבַע בָּאַמָּה רָחְבָּהּ: כִּי מִגְרָעוֹת נָתַן לַבַּיִת סָבִיב חוּצָה לְבִלְתִּי אֲחֹז בְּקִירוֹת הַבָּיִת. ז וְהַבַּיִת בְּהִבָּנֹתוֹ אֶבֶן שְׁלֵמָה מַסָּע נִבְנָה; וּמַקָּבוֹת וְהַגַּרְזֶן כָּל כְּלִי בַרְזֶל לֹא נִשְׁמַע בַּבַּיִת בְּהִבָּנֹתוֹ. ח פֶּתַח הַצֵּלָע הַתִּיכֹנָה אֶל כֶּתֶף הַבַּיִת הַיְמָנִית; וּבְלוּלִּים יַעֲלוּ עַל הַתִּיכֹנָה וּמִן הַתִּיכֹנָה אֶל הַשְּׁלִשִׁים. ט וַיִּבֶן אֶת הַבַּיִת וַיְכַלֵּהוּ; וַיִּסְפֹּן אֶת הַבַּיִת גֵּבִים וּשְׂדֵרֹת בָּאֲרָזִים. י וַיִּבֶן אֶת היצוע (הַיָּצִיעַ) עַל כָּל הַבַּיִת חָמֵשׁ אַמּוֹת קוֹמָתוֹ; וַיֶּאֱחֹז אֶת הַבַּיִת בַּעֲצֵי אֲרָזִים.
יא וַיְהִי דְּבַר יהוה אֶל שְׁלֹמֹה לֵאמֹר. יבהַבַּיִת הַזֶּה אֲשֶׁר אַתָּה בֹנֶה אִם תֵּלֵךְ בְּחֻקֹּתַי וְאֶת מִשְׁפָּטַי תַּעֲשֶׂה וְשָׁמַרְתָּ אֶת כָּל מִצְוֹתַי לָלֶכֶת בָּהֶם וַהֲקִמֹתִי אֶת דְּבָרִי אִתָּךְ אֲשֶׁר דִּבַּרְתִּי אֶל דָּוִד אָבִיךָ. יג וְשָׁכַנְתִּי בְּתוֹךְ בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל; וְלֹא אֶעֱזֹב אֶת עַמִּי יִשְׂרָאֵל. |
Matti Chapter 13
1 That same day Yeshua went out of the house and sat by the seaside. 2 And many people gathered around Him so that He had to go up and sit in a boat, and all the people stood on the seashore. 3 And He spoke many things to them in mishlim, and said, “Behold the sower went out to sow; 4 and when he had sown, some seed fell on the roadside, and the fowls came and ate it. 5 Other fell upon the rock, where there was not sufficient soil; and it sprang up earlier because the ground was not deep enough; 6 but when the sun shone, it was scorched, and because it had no root, it dried up; 7 and other fell among thistles, and the thistles sprung up and choked it. 8 And other fell in good soil, and bore fruit, some one hundred, and some sixty, and some thirty. 9 He who has ears to hear, let him hear.”
10 Then His Talmidim drew near to Him and said, “Why do you speak to them in mishlim?” 11 He answered and said to them, “Because to you it is granted to know the sod of Malkhut HaShamayim, but it is not granted to them. 12 For to him who has it shall be given, and it shall increase to him; but to him who has not, even that which he has shall be taken away from him. 13 This is the reason I speak to them in mishlim, because they see and yet cannot perceive; and they hear and yet do not listen, nor do they understand. 14 And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Yesha-Yahu who said, ‘Hearing you will hear, but you will not understand; and seeing you will see, but you will not know. 15 For the heart of this people has become hardened, and their ears hard of hearing, and their eyes are dull; so that they cannot see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their hearts; let them return, and I will heal them.' 16 But as for you, happy are your eyes, for they see; and your ears, for they hear. 17 For truly I say to you, a great many Nevi'im and Tzadikim have longed to see what you see, and did not see it; and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it.”
18 “Now you, listen to the mashal of the seed. 19 Whoever hears the D'var HaMalkhut and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away HaDavar which has been sown in his heart. This is that which was sown on the roadside. 20 That which was sown upon the rock, this is he who hears HaDavar, and immediately accepts it with joy; 21 but it has no root in him, except for a while; and when trouble or persecution comes because of HaDavar, he immediately stumbles. 22 That which was sown among thistles, this is he who hears HaDavar, but worldly thoughts and the deception caused by riches choke HaDavar, and it becomes fruitless. 23 That which was sown upon good soil, this is he who hears D'varai, and understands it, so he bears fruit and produces some one hundred, and some sixty, and some thirty.”
24 He related another mashal to them, and said, “Malkhut HaShamayim is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. 25 And when the men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went away. 26 But when the blade sprang up and bore fruit, then the tares also appeared. 27 So the servants of the landowner came and said to him, ‘Adoneinu, behold, did you not sow good seed in your field; from where did the tares come into it?' 28 He said to them, ‘An enemy did this;' his servants then said to him, ‘Do you want us to go and pick them out?' 29 But he said to them, ‘It might happen that while you were picking out the tares, you might uproot with them also the wheat. 30 Let them both grow together until the harvest; and at the harvest season, I will say to the reapers, ‘Pick out first the tares, and bind them into bundles to be burned; but gather the wheat into my barns.''”
31 He related another mashal to them, and said, “Malkhut HaShamayim is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took and sowed in his field. 32 It is the smallest of all seeds; but when it is grown, it is larger than all of the herbs; and it becomes a tree, so that the fowls of the sky come and nest in its branches.”
33 He told them another mashal: “Malkhut HaShamayim is like the leaven which a woman took and buried in three measures of flour, until it was all leavened.”
34 Yeshua spoke all these things to the people in mishlim; and without mishlim He did not speak to them, 35 so that it might be fulfilled which was said by the Navi, who said, “I will open my mouth in mishlim, and I will bring out secrets hidden before the foundation of the world.” 36 Then Yeshua left the multitudes and came into the house; and His Talmidim came up to Him and said, “Explain to us the mashal of the tares and the field.” 37 He answered and said to them, “He who sowed good seed is Ben HaAdam. 38 The field is the world. The good seed are the B'nei HaMalkhut, but the tares are the sons of evil. 39 The enemy who sowed them is HaSatan. The harvest is the end of the world, and the reapers are the Malakhim. 40 Therefore, just as the tares are picked out and burned in the fire, so shall it be at the end of the world. 41 Ben HaAdam will send His Malakhim, and they will pick out from His Malkhut all things which cause stumbling, and all workers of iniquity. 42 And they will throw them into the furnace of fire; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. 43 Then the tzadikim shall shine as the sun in the Malkhut of Avihem. He who has ears to hear, let him hear.”
44 “Again, Malkhut HaShamayim is like a treasure which is hidden in the field, which a man discovered and hid, and because of his joy, he went and sold everything he had, and bought that field. 45 Again, Malkhut HaShamayim is like a merchant, who was seeking good pearls. 46 And when he had found one costly pearl, he went and sold everything he had, and bought it. 47 Again, Malkhut HaShamayim is like a net which was thrown into the sea, and it gathered fish of every kind. 48 When it was filled, they drew it to the shore, and sat down and sorted them; the good ones they put into bags, and the bad they threw away. 49 So will it be at the end of the world; the Malakhim will go out and separate the evil from among the righteous, 50 and they will throw them into the furnace of fire; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”
51 Yeshua said to them, “Have you understood all of these things?” They said to Him, “Yes, Adoneinu.” 52 He said to them, “Therefore every Sofer who is instructed in Malkhut HaShamayim is like a man who is a householder, who brings out new and old things from his treasures.”
53 When Yeshua had finished these mishlim, He departed there. | מתי פרק יג
א בַּיוֹם הַהוּא יָצָא יֵשׁוּעַ מִן הַבַּיִת וְיָשַׁב עַל יַד הַיָּם. ב וְהִתְקַהֲלוּ אֵלָיו הֲמוֹנִים רַבִּים, עַד כִּי עָלָה וְיָשַׁב בָּאֳנִיָּה וְכָל הֶהָמוֹן עָמַד עַל חוֹף הַיָּם. ג וְדִבֵּר אֲלֵיהֶם הַרְבֵּה בִּמְשָׁלִים וְאָמַר: הִנֵּה יָצָא הַזּוֹרֵעַ לִזְרֹעַ. ד וְכַאֲשֶׁר זָרַע, יֵשׁ שֶׁנָּפַל עַל יַד הַדֶּרֶךְ וּבָא עוֹף וְאָכַל אוֹתוֹ. ה וְאַחֵר נָפַל עַל סֶלַע, בְּמָקוֹם שֶׁלֹּא הָיְתָה אֲדָמָה רַבָּה; וּמִיָּד צָמַח, מִפְּנֵי שֶׁלֹּא הָיָה עֹמֶק לָאֲדָמָה. ו אַךְ כְּשֶׁזָּרְחָה הַשֶּׁמֶשׁ, נִצְרַב; וּמִכֵּיוָן שֶׁלֹּא הָיָה לוֹ שֹׁרֶשׁ, הִתְיַבֵּשׁ. ז וְאַחֵר נָפַל בֵּין קוֹצִים; וְעָלוּ הַקּוֹצִים וְהֶחֱנִיקוּהוּ. ח וְאַחֵר נָפַל עַל אֲדָמָה טוֹבָה וְנָתַן פְּרִי, זֶה פִּי מֵאָה, זֶה פִּי שִׁשִּׁים וְזֶה פִּי שְׁלוֹשִׁים. ט מִי שֶׁיֵּשׁ לוֹ אָזְנַיִם לִשְׁמֹעַ, יִשְׁמַע.
י וְנִגְּשׁוּ תַּלְמִידָיו וְאָמְרוּ לוֹ: מַדּוּעַ בִּמְשָׁלִים מְדַבֵּר אַתָּה אֲלֵיהֶם? יא וְהוּא עָנָה וְאָמַר לָהֶם: כִּי לָכֶם נִתָּן לָדַעַת אֶת סוֹד מַלְכוּת הַשָּׁמַיִם, אַךְ לָהֶם לֹא נִתָּן; יב כִּי מִי שֶׁיֵּשׁ לוֹ, יִנָּתֵן לוֹ וְיַעְדֹּף לוֹ; וּמִי שֶׁאֵין לוֹ, גַּם מַה שֶּׁיֵּשׁ לוֹ יִלָּקַח מִמֶּנּוּ. יג מִשּׁוּם כָּךְ בִּמְשָׁלִים מְדַבֵּר אֲנִי אֲלֵיהֶם; כִּי רוֹאִים הֵם וְאֵינָם רוֹאִים, וְשׁוֹמְעִים וְאֵינָם שׁוֹמְעִים וְאֵינָם מְבִינִים. יד וּמִתְמַלֵּאת בָּהֶם נְבוּאַת יְשַׁעְיָהוּ שֶׁאָמַר: שִׁמְעוּ שָׁמוֹעַ וְאַל תָּבִינוּ, וּרְאוּ רָאוֹ וְאַל תֵּדְעוּ; טו כִּי הֻשְׁמַן לֵב הָעָם הַזֶּה, וּבְאָזְנֵיהֶם בִּכְבֵדוּת שָׁמְעוּ, וְאֶת עֵינֵיהֶם עָצְמוּ, פֶּן יִרְאוּ בְּעֵינֵיהֶם וְיִשְׁמְעוּ בְּאָזְנֵיהֶם וְיָבִינוּ בִּלְבָבָם וְיָשׁוּבוּ, וַאֲרַפֵּא אוֹתָם. טז וַאֲשֶׁר לָכֶם, אַשְׁרֵי עֵינֵיכֶם הָרוֹאוֹת וְאָזְנֵיכֶם הַשּׁוֹמְעוֹת; יז כִּי אָמֵן אוֹמֵר אֲנִי לָכֶם, שֶׁנְּבִיאִים וְצַדִּיקִים רַבִּים נִכְסְפוּ לִרְאוֹת אֶת אֲשֶׁר אַתֶּם רוֹאִים, וְלֹא רָאוּ; וְלִשְׁמֹעַ אֶת אֲשֶׁר אַתֶּם שׁוֹמְעִים, וְלֹא שָׁמְעוּ.
יח אֲבָל אַתֶּם שִׁמְעוּ אֶת מְשַׁל הַזֶּרַע. יט כָּל הַשּׁוֹמֵעַ אֶת דְּבַר הַמַּלְכוּת וְאֵינֶנּוּ מֵבִין אוֹתוֹ, בָּא הָרָע וְחוֹטֵף אֶת הַדָּבָר שֶּׁנִּזְרָע בִּלְבָבוֹ, זֶהוּ אֲשֶׁר נִזְרַע עַל יַד הַדֶּרֶךְ. כ וַאֲשֶׁר נִזְרַע עַל הַסֶּלַע, הוּא הַשּׁוֹמֵעַ אֶת הַדָּבָר וּמִיָּד מְקַבֵּל אוֹתוֹ בְּשִׁמְחָה, כא אַךְ אֵין לוֹ שֹׁרֶשׁ בּוֹ, אֶלָּא זְמַנִּי הוּא; וּבִהְיוֹת צָרָה אוֹ רְדִיפָה בִּגְלַל הַדָּבָר, מַהֵר יִכָּשֵׁל. כב וַאֲשֶׁר נִזְרַע בֵּין קוֹצִים, הוּא הַשּׁוֹמֵעַ אֶת הַדָּבָר; וְדַאֲגַת הָעוֹלָם הַזֶּה וַּמַדּוּחֵי הָעֹשֶׁר חוֹנְקִים אֶת הַדָּבָר וּבְלִי פְּרִי יִהְיֶה. כג וַאֲשֶׁר נִזְרַע עַל אֲדָמָה טוֹבָה, הוּא הַשּׁוֹמֵעַ אֶת דְּבָרִי וּמֵבִין, וְנוֹתֵן פְּרִי וְעוֹשֶׂה, זֶה פִּי מֵאָה, זֶה פִּי שִׁשִּׁים וְזֶה פִּי שְׁלוֹשִׁים.
כד מָשָׁל אַחֵר הִמְשִׁיל לָהֶם וְאָמַר: דּוֹמָה מַלְכוּת הַשָּׁמַיִם לְאִישׁ אֲשֶׁר זָרַע זֶרַע טוֹב בְּשָׂדֵהוּ. כה וְכַאֲשֶׁר יָשְׁנוּ הָאֲנָשִׁים, בָּא אוֹיְבוֹ וְזָרַע זוּנִים בֵּין הַחִטִּים וְהָלַךְ. כו אֲבָל כְּשֶׁצָּמַח הַגִּבְעוֹל וְעָשָׂה פְּרִי, אָז נִרְאוּ גַּם הַזּוּנִים. כז וְנִגְּשׁוּ עַבְדֵי בַּעַל הַבַּיִת וְאָמְרוּ לוֹ: אֲדוֹנֵינוּ, הַאִם לֹא זֶרַע טוֹב זָרַעְתָּ בְּשָׂדְךָ? מִנַּיִן יֵשׁ בּוֹ זוּנִים? כח וְהוּא אָמַר לָהֶם: אִישׁ אוֹיֵב עָשָׂה זֹאת. אָמְרוּ לוֹ עֲבָדָיו: רוֹצֶה אַתָּה שֶׁנֵּלֵךְ וּנְלַקֵּט אוֹתָם? כט אַךְ הוּא אָמַר לָהֶם: שֶׁמָּא בְּעֵת שֶׁתְּלַקְּטוּ אֶת הַזּוּנִים תַּעַקְרוּ עִמָּהֶם גַּם אֶת הַחִטִּים. להַנִּיחוּ לִשְׁנֵיהֶם לִגְדֹל יַחַד עַד הַקָּצִיר, וּבְעֵת הַקָּצִיר אֹמַר לַקּוֹצְרִים: לַקְּטוּ תְּחִלָּה אֶת הַזּוּנִים וְקִשְׁרוּ אוֹתָם צְרוֹרוֹת כְּדֵי לְשָׂרְפָם, אֲבָל אֶת הַחִטִּים אִסְפוּ לַאֲסָמַי.
לא מָשָׁל אַחֵר הִמְשִׁיל לָהֶם וְאָמַר: דּוֹמָה מַלְכוּת הַשָּׁמַיִם לְגַרְגִּיר חַרְדָּל אֲשֶׁר לְקָחוֹ אִישׁ וּזְרָעוֹ בְּשָׂדֵהוּ. לב וְהוּא הַזָּעִיר מִכָֹּל הַזְּרָעִים, אַךְ כְּשֶׁגָּדֵל, גָּדוֹל הוּא מִכָּל הַיְרָקוֹת וְנַעֲשֶׂה לְעֵץ, עַד כִּי יָבוֹא עוֹף הַשָּׁמַיִם וִיקַנֵּן בַּעֲנָפָיו.
לג מָשָׁל אַחֵר אָמַר לָהֶם: דּוֹמָה מַלְכוּת הַשָּׁמַיִם לִשְׂאוֹר אֲשֶׁר לָקְחָה אִשָּׁה וְטָמְנָה אוֹתוֹ בִּשְׁלשׁ סְאִים קֶמַח, עַד שֶׁהֶחְמִיץ כֻּלּוֹ.
לד כָּל אֵלֶּה דִּבֵּר יֵשׁוּעַ בִּמְשָׁלִים אֶל הַהֲמוֹנִים, וּבְלִי מְשָׁלִים לֹא דִּבֵּר אֲלֵיהֶם, לה לְמַלֵּא מַה שֶּׁנֶּאֱמַר בְּיַד הַנָּבִיא, לֵאמֹר: אֶפְתְּחָה פִּי בִּמְשָׁלִים וְאַבִּיעָה נִסְתָּרוֹת מִלִּפְנֵי מוֹסְדוֹת עוֹלָם. לו אָז עָזַב יֵשׁוּעַ אֶת הַהֲמוֹנִים וּבָא הַבַּיְתָה. וְנִגְּשׁוּ אֵלָיו תַּלְמִידָיו וְאָמְרוּ לוֹ: בָּאֵר לָנוּ אֶת מְשַׁל הַזּוּנִים וְהַשָּׂדֶה. לז וְהוּא עָנָה וְאָמַר לָהֶם: זֶה שֶׁזָּרַע אֶת הַזֶּרַע הַטּוֹב הוּא בֶּן הָאָדָם. לח וְהַשָּׂדֶה הוּא הָעוֹלָם. וְהַזֶּרַע הַטּוֹב בְּנֵי הַמַּלְכוּת הֵם, אַךְ הַזּוּנִים הֵם בְּנֵי הָרָע. לט וְהָאוֹיֵב שֶׁזָּרַע אוֹתָם הוּא הַשָּׂטָן. הַקָּצִיר הוּא קֵץ הָעוֹלָם, וְהַקּוֹצְרִים הֵם הַמַּלְאָכִים. מ לָכֵן כְּמוֹ שֶׁמְּלֻקְּטִים הַזּוּנִים וְנִשְׂרָפִים בָּאֵשׁ, כָּךְ יִהְיֶה בְּקֵץ הָעוֹלָם הַזֶּה; מא יִשְׁלַח בֶּן הָאָדָם אֶת מַלְאָכָיו וִילַקְּטוּ מִמַּלְכוּתוֹ אֶת כָּל הַמַּכְשֵׁלוֹת וְאֶת כָּל עוֹשֵׂי הָעָוֶל, מב וְיַשְׁלִיכוּ אוֹתָם לְתַנּוּר אֵשׁ. שָׁם יִהְיֶה בְּכִי וַחֲרוֹק שִׁנַּיִם. מג אָז יַזְהִירוּ הַצַּדִיקִים כַּשֶּׁמֶשׁ בְּמַלְכוּת אֲבִיהֶם. מִי שֶׁיֵּשׁ לוֹ אָזְנַיִם לִשְׁמֹעַ, יִשְׁמַע.
מד עוֹד דּוֹמָה מַלְכוּת הַשָּׁמַיִם לְאוֹצָר טָמוּן בַּשָּׂדֶה, אֲשֶׁר מְצָאוֹ אִישׁ וְהִטְמִינוֹ; וּמִשִּׂמְחָתוֹ הָלַךְ וּמָכַר אֶת כָּל אֲשֶׁר יֵשׁ לוֹ וְקָנָה אֶת הַשָּׂדֶה הַהוּא. מה עוֹד דּוֹמָה מַלְכוּת הַשָּׁמַיִם לְאִישׁ סוֹחֵר שֶׁחִפֵּשׂ מַרְגָּלִיּוֹת טוֹבוֹת. מו וְכַאֲשֶׁר מָצָא מַרְגָּלִית אַחַת יִקְרַת עֵרֶךְ, הָלַךְ וּמָכַר אֶת כָּל מַה שֶּׁיֵּשׁ לוֹ וְקָנָה אוֹתָהּ. מז עוֹד דּוֹמָה מַלְכוּת הַשָּׁמַיִם לְרֶשֶׁת שֶׁהוּטְלָה לַיָּם וְאָסְפָה מִכָּל מִין. מח וְכַאֲשֶׁר נִתְמַלְּאָה, הֶעֱלוּהָ לִשְׂפַת הַיָּם, וְיָשְׁבוּ וְלִקְּטוּ; אֶת הַטּוֹבִים הֵטִילוּ לְכֵלִים, וְאֶת הָרָעִים הִשְׁלִיכוּ הַחוּצָה. מט כָּךְ יִהְיֶה בְּקֵץ הָעוֹלָם; יֵצְאוּ הַמַּלְאָכִים וְיַבְדִּילוּ אֶת הָרָעִים מִבֵּין הַצַּדִּיקִים, נוְיָטִילוּ אוֹתָם לְתַנּוּר אֵשׁ. שָׁם יִהְיֶה בְּכִי וַחֲרוֹק שִׁנַּיִם.
נא אָמַר לָהֶם יֵשׁוּעַ: הֲבִינוֹתֶם אֶת כָּל אֵלֶּה? אָמְרוּ לוֹ: כֵּן, אֲדוֹנֵינוּ. נב אָמַר לָהֶם: עַל כֵּן כָּל סוֹפֵר הַמְלֻמָּד לְמַלְכוּת הַשָּׁמַיִּם דּוֹמֶה לְאִישׁ בַּעַל בַּיִת הַמּוֹצִיא מֵאוֹצְרוֹתָיו חֲדָשׁוֹת וְישָׁנוֹת.
נג וְכַאֲשֶׁר גָּמַר יֵשׁוּעַ אֶת הַמְּשָׁלִים הָאֵלֶּה, הָלַךְ מִשָּׁם. |
Ivrim Chapter 8
1 Now, above all, we have a Kohen Gadol who is seated at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in heaven; 2 and He has become the minister of the Beit HaKodesh and of the true Mishkan which Elohim pitched, and not man. 3 For every Kohen Gadol is appointed to offer gifts and sacrifices, therefore it is necessary that this man have something to offer also. 4 For if He were on earth, He would not be a kohen, because there are Kohanim who offer gifts according to the Torah, 5 who serve the semblance and shadow of heavenly things, just as it was commanded to Moshe when he was about to make the Mishkan, "See that you make all things according to the pattern shown you in the mount."
6 But now Yeshua HaMashi'akh has received a ministry which is higher than that; just as the covenant in which He was made a mediator is lifted up, so are the promises better than those given in it. 7 For if the first [ministry] had been faultless, then there would have been no need for the second. 8 For He found fault with them and said, "'Behold, the day is coming', says יהוה , 'when I will cut a renewed covenant with Beit Yisra'el and with Beit Yehudah; 9 not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand and led them out of the land of Mitzrayim; and because they abode not in my covenant, I rejected them', says יהוה . 'For 10 this shall be the covenant that I will make with Beit Yisra'el after those days', says יהוה : 'I will put my Torah into their minds, and I will write it on their hearts; and I will be their Elohim and they shall be my people. 11 And no man shall teach his neighbor, neither his brother, saying, 'Know יהוה ', for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest. 12 And I will forgive their wickedness and I will no longer remember their sins'." 13 For He has spoken of a renewal [of ministry]; the first has become old, and that which is old and obsolete is near passing away. | העברים פרק ח
א רֹאשׁ כָּל הַדְּבָרִים הַלָּלוּ הוּא: יֵשׁ לָנוּ כֹּהֵן גָּדוֹל אֲשֶׁר יָשַׁב לִימִין כִּסֵּא הַגְּדֻלָּה בַּשָּׁמַיִם, ב וְהָיָה לִמְשָׁרֵת שֶׁל בֵּית הַקֹּדֶשׁ וְשֶׁל הַמִּשְׁכָּן הָאֲמִתִּי אֲשֶׁר קָבַע הָאֱלֹהִים וְלֹא אָדָם. ג הֵן כָּל כֹּהֵן גָּדוֹל שֶׁמִּתְמַנֶּה, הֲרֵי לְמַעַן יַקְרִיב קָרְבָּנוֹת וּזְבָחִים. לָכֵן הָיָה מִן הָרָאוּי גַּם לָזֶה שֶׁיִּהְיֶה לוֹ מַה לְּהַקְרִיב. ד וְאִלּוּ הָיָה בָּאָרֶץ אַף לֹא הָיָה כֹּהֵן, כִּי הָיוּ כֹּהֲנִים אֲשֶׁר הִקְרִיבוּ קָרְבָּנוֹת לְפִי הַתּוֹרָה, ה אֲשֶׁר שֵׁרְתוּ לִדְמוּת וּלְצֵל הַדְּבָרִים שֶׁבַּשָּׁמַיִם, כְּפִי שֶׁנֶּאֱמַר לְמֹשֶׁה בַּעֲשׂוֹתוֹ אֶת הַמִּשְׁכָּן: רְאֵה וַעֲשֵׂה הַכֹּל כַּתַּבְנִית אֲשֶׁר אַתָּה מָרְאֶה בָּהָר.
ו אֲבָל כָּעֵת יֵשׁוּעַ הַמָּשִׁיחַ קִבֵּל שֵׁרוּת נַעֲלֶה יוֹתֵר מִן הַהוּא; כְּפִי שֶׁגַּם הַבְּרִית אֲשֶׁר נַעֲשָׂה בָּהּ לִמְתַוֵּךְ, נַעֲלָה יוֹתֵר וְנִתְּנָה בְּהַבְטָחוֹת טוֹבוֹת יוֹתֵר מִשֶּׁל הַהִיא; ז כִּי אִלּוּ הָיְתָה הָרִאשׁוֹנָה בְּלִי חִסָּרוֹן, לֹא הָיָה מָקוֹם לָזֹאת הַשְּׁנִיָּה; ח שֶׁהֲרֵי הוֹכִיחַ אוֹתָם וְאָמַר: הִנֵּה יָמִים בָּאִים, נְאֻם יהוה, וְכָרַתִּי אֶת בֵּית יִשְׂרָאֵל וְאֶת בֵּית יְהוּדָה בְּרִית חֲדָשָׁה; ט לֹא כַבְּרִית אֲשֶׁר נָתַתִּי לַאֲבוֹתָם בַּיּוֹם אֲשֶׁר הֶחֱזַקְתִּי בְּיָדָם וְהוֹצֵאתִים מֵאֶרֶץ מִצְרַיִם. יַעַן אֲשֶׁר הֵם לֹא עָמְדוּ בִּבְרִיתִי, אַף אֲנִי בַּזְתִּי לָהֶם, נְאֻם יהוה . י וְזֹאת הַבְּרִית אֲשֶׁר אֶתֵּן לְבֵית יִשְׂרָאֵל אַחֲרֵי הַיָּמִים הָהֵם, נְאֻם יהוה : אֶתֵּן אֶת תּוֹרָתִי בְּשִׂכְלָם וְעַל לִבָּם אֶכְתֳּבֶנָּה; וְהָיִיתִי לָהֶם אֲנִי לֵאלֹהִים, וְהֵמָּה יִהְיוּ לִי לְעַם. יא וְלֹא יְלַמֵּד אִישׁ אֶת בֶּן עִירוֹ, אַף לֹא אֶת אָחִיו, לֵאמֹר, דַּע אֶת יהוה ; כִּי כֻּלָּם יֵדְעוּ אוֹתִי לְמִקְּטַנָּם וְעַד גְּדוֹלָם. יב וְאֶמְחַל לָהֶם עַל עַוְלָתָם, וְחַטְּאוֹתֵיהֶם לֹא אֶזְכֹּר עוֹד לָהֶם. יג בְּכָךְ שֶׁאָמַר חֲדָשָׁה, יִשֵּׁן אֶת הָרִאשׁוֹנָה; וּמַה שֶּׁנִּתְיַשֵּׁן וְהִזְקִין קָרוֹב הוּא לְכִלָּיוֹן. |
