B'reshit Chapter 32
4 And Ya'akov sent messengers before him to Esav his brother unto the land of Se'ir, the field of Edom. 5 And he commanded them, saying, "Thus shall you say unto my Adon Esav, 'Thus says your servant Ya'akov, 'I have sojourned with Lavan, and stayed until now. 6 And I have oxen, and donkeys and flocks, and men-servants and maid-servants; and I have sent to tell my Adon, that I may find favor in your sight'.'" 7 And the messengers returned to Ya'akov, saying, "We came to your brother Esav, and moreover he comes to meet you, and four hundred men with him." 8 Then Ya'akov was greatly afraid and was distressed. And he divided the people that were with him, and the flocks, and the herds, and the camels, into two camps. 9 And he said, "If Esav comes to the one camp, and smites it, then the camp which is left shall escape." 10 And Ya'akov said, "O Elohim of my father Avraham, and Elohim of my father Yitz'khak, O יהוה , who said unto me, 'Return unto your country, and to your kindred, and I will do you good;' 11 I am not worthy of all the mercies, and of all the truth, which You have shown unto your servant; for with my staff I passed over this Yarden; and now I am become two camps. 12 Deliver me, I pray, from the hand of my brother, from the hand of Esav; for I fear him, lest he comes and smites me, the mother with the children. 13 And You said, 'I will surely do you good, and make your seed as the sand of the sea, which cannot be numbered for multitude'." 14 And he lodged there that night; and took of that which he had with him a present for Esav his brother: 15 two hundred she-goats and twenty he-goats, two hundred ewes and twenty rams, 16 thirty nursing camels and their colts, forty cows and ten bulls, twenty she-donkeys and ten foals. 17 And he delivered them into the hand of his servants, every drove by itself; and said unto his servants, "Pass over before me, and put a space between drove and drove." 18 And he commanded the foremost, saying, "When Esav my brother meets you, and asks you, saying, 'Whose are you? And where are you going? And whose are these before you?" 19 Then you shall say, 'They are your servant Ya'akov's; it is a present sent unto my Adon, even unto Esav; and, behold, he also is behind us'." 20 And he commanded also the second, and the third, and all that followed the droves, saying, "In this manner shall you speak unto Esav, when you find him; 21 and you shall say, 'Moreover, behold, your servant Ya'akov is behind us'." For he said, "I will appease him with the present that goes before me, and afterward I will see his face; perhaps he will accept me." 22 So the present passed over before him; and he himself lodged that night in the camp. 23 And he rose up that night, and took his two wives, and his two handmaids, and his eleven children, and passed over the ford of the Yabok. 24 And he took them, and sent them over the stream, and sent over that which he had. 25 And Ya'akov was left alone; and there, a man wrestled with him until the breaking of the day. 26 And when he saw that he prevailed not against him, he touched the hollow of his thigh; and the hollow of Ya'akov’s thigh was strained, as he wrestled with him. 27 And he said, "Let me go, for the day breaks." And he said, "I will not let you go, except you bless me." 28 And he said unto him, "What is your name?" And he said, "Ya'akov." 29 And he said, "Your name shall be called no more Ya'akov, but Yisra'el; for you have striven with Elohim and with men, and have prevailed." 30 And Ya'akov asked him, and said, "Tell me, I pray, your name." And he said, "Why is it that you ask after my name?" And he blessed him there. 31 And Ya'akov called the name of the place Peni'el, "For I have seen Elohim face to face, and my life is preserved." 32 And the sun rose upon him as he passed over Peni'el, and he limped upon his thigh. 33 Therefore B'nei Yisra'el do not eat the sinew of the thigh-vein which is upon the hollow of the thigh, unto this day; because he touched the hollow of Ya'akov’s thigh, even in the sinew of the thigh-vein.

B'reshit Chapter 33
1 And Ya'akov lifted up his eyes and looked, and, behold, Esav came, and with him four hundred men. And he divided the children unto Le'ah, and unto Rakhel, and unto the two handmaids. 2 And he put the handmaids and their children foremost, and Le'ah and her children after, and Rakhel and Yosef were last. 3 And he himself passed over before them, and bowed himself to the ground seven times, until he came near to his brother. 4 And Esav ran to meet him, and embraced him, and fell on his neck, and kissed him; and they wept. 5 And he lifted up his eyes, and saw the women and the children; and said, "Who are these with you?" And he said, "The children whom Elohim has graciously given your servant." 6 Then the handmaids came near, they and their children, and they bowed down. 7 And Le'ah also and her children came near, and bowed down; and after came Yosef near, and Rakhel, and they bowed down. 8 And he said, "What do you mean by all this camp which I met?" And he said, "To find favor in the sight of my Adon." 9 And Esav said, "I have enough; my brother, let that which you have be yours." 10 And Ya'akov said, "Nay, I pray, if now I have found favor in your sight, then receive my present at my hand; forasmuch as I have seen your face, as one sees the face of Elohim, and you were pleased with me. 11 Take, I pray, my gift that is brought to you; because Elohim has dealt graciously with me, and because I have everything." And he urged him, and he took it. 12 And he said, "Let us take our journey, and let us go, and I will go before you." 13 And he said unto him, "My Adon knows that the children are tender, and that the flocks and herds that nurse are a care to me; and if they overdrive them one day, all the flocks will die. 14 Let my Adon, I pray, pass over before his servant; and I will journey on gently, according to the pace of the cattle that are before me and according to the pace of the children, until I come unto my Adon unto Se'ir." 15 And Esav said, "Let me now leave with you some of the folk that are with me." And he said, "What need is it? Let me find favor in the sight of my Adon." 16 So Esav returned that day on his way unto Se'ir. 17 And Ya'akov journeyed to Sukkot, and built him a house, and made booths for his cattle. Therefore the name of the place is called Sukkot.
18 And Ya'akov came in shalom to the city of Shekhem, which is in the land of Kena'an, when he came from Padan Aram and encamped before the city. 19 And he bought the parcel of ground, where he had spread his tent, at the hand of the children of Khamor, Shekhem’s father, for a hundred pieces of money. 20 And he erected there a Mizbe'akh, and called it El Elohei Yisra'el.

HAFTARAH

Ovad-Yah Chapter 1
1 The vision of Ovad-Yah. "Thus says Adonai יהוה concerning Edom, 'We have heard a message from יהוה , and an ambassador is sent among the nations. 'Arise, and let us rise up against her in battle.' 2 Behold, I make you small among the nations; you are greatly despised. 3 The pride of your heart has beguiled you, O you that dwell in the clefts of the rock, your habitation on high; that says in your heart, 'Who shall bring me down to the ground?' 4 Though you make your nest as high as the eagle, and though you set it among the stars, I will bring you down from there, says יהוה . If 5 thieves came to you, if robbers by night, how are you cut off! Would they not steal till they had enough? If grape-gatherers came to you, would they not leave some gleaning grapes? 6 How is Esav searched out! How are his hidden places sought out! 7 All the men of your confederacy have conducted you to the border; the men that had shalom with you have beguiled you, and prevailed against you; they that eat your bread lay a snare under you, in whom there is no discernment. 8 Shall I not in that day, says יהוה , destroy the wise men out of Edom, and discernment out of the mount of Esav? 9 And your mighty men, O Teman, shall be dismayed, to the end that every one may be cut off from the mount of Esav by slaughter. 10 For the violence done to your brother Ya'akov, shame shall cover you, and you shall be cut off forever. 11 In the day that you did stand aloof, in the day that strangers carried away his substance, and foreigners entered into his gates, and cast lots upon Yerushalayim, even you were as one of them. 12 But you should not have gazed on the day of your brother in the day of his disaster, neither should you have rejoiced over B'nei Yehudah in the day of their destruction; neither should you have spoken proudly in the day of distress. 13 You should not have entered into the gate of My people in the day of their calamity; yes, you should not have gazed on their affliction in the day of their calamity, nor have laid hands on their substance in the day of their calamity. 14 Neither should you have stood in the crossroad, to cut off those of his that escape; neither should you have delivered up those of his that did remain in the day of distress. 15 For Yom יהוה is near upon all the nations; as you have done, it shall be done unto you; your dealing shall return upon your own head. 16 For as you have drunk upon My Har Kodesh, so shall all the nations drink continually, yes, they shall drink, and swallow down, and shall be as though they had not been. 17 But in Har Tzion there shall be those that escape, and it shall be kadosh; and Beit Ya'akov shall possess their possessions. 18 And Beit Ya'akov shall be a fire, and Beit Yosef a flame, and the house of Esav for stubble, and they shall kindle in them, and devour them; and there shall not be any remaining of the house of Esav; for יהוה has spoken. 19 And they of the South shall possess the mount of Esav, and they of the Lowland the P'lishtim; and they shall possess the field of Efrayim, and the field of Shomron; and Binyamin shall possess Gilad. 20 And the captivity of this host of B'nei Yisra'el, that are among the Kena'ani, even unto Tzarfat, and the captivity of Yerushalayim, that is in Sefarad, shall possess the cities of the South. 21 And saviors shall come up on Har Tzion to judge the mount of Esav; and HaMalkhut shall belong to יהוה ."

Yokhanan Chapter 1
19 This is the testimony of Yokhanan, when the Y'hudim sent to him Kohanim and Levi'im from Yerushalayim to ask him, “Who are you?” 20 And he confessed and did not deny it, but he declared, “I am not the Mashi'akh.” 21 Then they asked him again, “What then? Are you Eli-Yahu?” And he said, “I am not.” “Are you a Navi?” And he said, “No.” 22 Then they said to him, “Who are you, so that we may give an answer to those who sent us. What do you say concerning yourself?” 23 He said, “I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, ‘Straighten the highway of יהוה ,' as Yesha-Yahu HaNavi said.” 24 Those who were sent were from the P'rushim. 25 And they asked him, saying to him, “Why then do you immerse, if you are not the Mashi'akh, nor Eli-Yahu, nor a navi?” 26 Yokhanan answered, saying to them, “I immerse with water; but among you stands one whom you do not know; 27 this is the one who comes after me and is ahead of me, the one even the straps of whose sandals I am not good enough to loosen.” 28 These things happened in Beit Anya at the Yarden crossing, where Yokhanan was immersing.
29 The next day Yokhanan saw Yeshua coming to him, and he said, “Behold, Seh HaElohim, who takes away the sin of the world! 30 This is the one of whom I said, ‘the man who comes after me is yet ahead of me, because He was before me.' 31 And I did not know Him; but that He might be made known to Yisra'el, I came to immerse with water.” 32 And Yokhanan testified, saying, “I saw HaRu'akh descending from the heavens like a dove, and it rested upon Him. 33 And yet I did not know Him; but He who sent me to immerse with water said to me, ‘The one upon whom you see HaRu'akh descending and resting, He is the one who will immerse with The Ru'akh HaKodesh.' 34 And I saw and testified that this is Ben HaElohim.” 35 The next day Yokhanan was standing with two of His Talmidim; 36 and he looked at Yeshua while He walked, and said, “Behold, Seh HaElohim!”
37 And when he said it, two of His Talmidim heard it, and they went after Yeshua. 38 And Yeshua turned around and saw them following Him, and He said to them, “What do you want?” They said to Him, “Rabbi, where do you live?” 39 He said to them, “Come, and you will see.” And they came and saw where He stayed, and they remained with Him that day; and it was about the tenth hour. 40 One of them who heard Yokhanan and followed Yeshua was Andra'us, the brother of Shimon. 41 He saw his brother Shimon first, and said to him, “We have found the Mashi'akh.” 42 And he brought him to Yeshua. And Yeshua looked at him and said, “You are Shimon Ben Yonah; you will be called Kefa.”
43 The next day Yeshua wanted to leave for the Galil, and He found Filipos and said to him, “Follow me.” 44 Now Filipos was from Beit Tza'ida, the city of Andra'us and Shimon. 45 Filipos found Netan'el, and said to him, “This is the one concerning whom Moshe wrote in the Torah and the Nevi'im, we have found Him! It is Yeshua Ben Yosef; He is from Natzrat.” 46 Netan'el said to him, “Can anything good come out of Natzrat?” Filipos said to him, “Come, and you will see.” 47 Yeshua saw Netan'el coming to Him and He said of him, “Behold, a true son of Yisra'el, in whom there is no guile!”
48 Netan'el said to him, “How do you know me?” Yeshua said to him, “Even before Filipos called you, while you were under the fig tree, I saw you.” 49 Netan'el answered, saying to Him, “Rabbi, you are Ben HaElohim, you are Melekh Yisra'el.” 50 Yeshua said to him, “Do you believe because I told you I saw you under the fig tree? You shall see greater things than these.” 51 He said to him, “Amein, amein, I say to all of you, that from now on you will see Heaven opened and the Malakhim of Elohim ascending and descending to Ben HaAdam.”

Yokhanan Chapter 2
1 On the third day there was a wedding in Kana, a city of the Galil; and the mother of Yeshua was there. 2 And Yeshua and His Talmidim were also invited to the wedding. 3 And when the wine ran low, His mother said to Yeshua, “They have no wine.” 4 Yeshua said to her, “What is it to me and to you, woman? My turn has not yet come.” 5 His mother said to the servers, “Whatever He tells you, do it.” 6 And there were six stone jars placed there for the purification of the Y'hudim, which could hold two or three measures. 7 Yeshua said to them, “Fill the jars with water;” and they filled them up to the brim. 8 Then He said to them, “Draw out now and bring it to the chief steward.” And they brought it. 9 And when the chief steward tasted the water that had become wine, he did not know from where it had come; but the servers knew, who had drawn the water. Then the chief steward called the bridegroom 10 and said to him, “Every man at the first brings the best wine; and when they have drunk, then that which is weak; but you have kept the best wine until now.” 11 This is the first miracle which Yeshua performed in Kana of the Galil, and thus He showed His glory; and His Talmidim trusted in Him.
12 After this He went down to K'far Nakhum, He, and His mother and His brothers, and His Talmidim; and they remained there a few days.

Korinti’im Alef Chapter 5
1 It is reported that immorality is common among you, and such immorality as is not known among pagans, that even a son should take his father’s wife. 2 But instead of boasting as you have done, rather, had you sat down mourning, that he who has done this deed might have been removed from among you. 3 For while I am far away from you in body, yet I am near you in spirit; and I have already judged, as though I were present, him who has done this deed. 4 In the Name of Adoneinu Yeshua HaMashi'akh, gather together, and I will be with you in spirit and with the power of Adoneinu Yeshua HaMashi'akh, 5 so that you shall deliver this man to HaSatan for the destruction of his body, in order that his spirit may live in the day of Adoneinu Yeshua HaMashi'akh.
6 Your boasting is not good. Do you not know that a little leaven will leaven the whole lump? 7 Clean out, therefore, the old leaven, so that you may be a new lump, so that you can be matzot. For our Pesakh is Mashi'akh, who was sacrificed for our sake. 8 Therefore let us celebrate the Khag, not with old leavening, neither with the leavening of evil and bitterness, but with the leavening of purity and k'dushah.
9 I wrote to you in a letter not to associate with immoral persons. 10 I do not mean that you should separate completely from all the immoral people of this world, or from the fraudulent, and extortionists, or from idolaters; otherwise you would be obliged to leave this world. 11 Now what I have written to you is this: you are not to associate with any person who is known as a brother and yet is immoral, or fraudulent, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortionist; with such a person you must not even break bread. 12 For what business have I to judge those who are outside [the congregation]? But you may judge those who are within [the congregation]. 13 Elohim will judge the outsiders. Therefore, put away from among yourselves those wicked persons.
