VaYikra Chapter 16
1 And יהוה spoke unto Moshe, after the death of the two sons of Aharon, when they drew near before יהוה , and died; 2 and יהוה said unto Moshe, "Speak unto Aharon your brother, that he comes not at all times into HaKodesh within the Parokhet, before the Kaporet which is upon the Aron, so he will not die; for I appear in the cloud upon the Kaporet. 3 Herewith shall Aharon come into HaKodesh: with a young bullock for a Khatat, and a ram for an Olah. 4 He shall put on the consecrated linen tunic, and he shall have the linen breeches upon his flesh, and shall be girded with the linen girdle, and with the linen miter shall he be attired; they are the consecrated garments; and he shall bathe his flesh in water, and put them on. 5 And he shall take of the assembly of B'nei Yisra'el two he-goats for a Khatat, and one ram for an Olah. 6 And Aharon shall present the bullock of the Khatat, which is for himself, and make atonement for himself, and for his house. 7 And he shall take the two goats, and set them before יהוה at the door of the Ohel Mo'ed. 8 And Aharon shall cast lots upon the two goats: one lot for יהוה , and the other lot for Azazel. 9 And Aharon shall present the goat upon which the lot fell for יהוה , and offer him for a Khatat. 10 But the goat on which the lot fell for Azazel shall be set alive before יהוה , to make atonement over him, to send him away for Azazel into the wilderness. 11 And Aharon shall present the bullock of the Khatat, which is for himself, and shall make atonement for himself, and for his house, and shall kill the bullock of the Khatat which is for himself. 12 And he shall take a censer full of coals of fire from off the Mizbe'akh before יהוה , and his hands full of sweet incense, beaten small, and bring it within the Parokhet. 13 And he shall put the incense upon the fire before יהוה , that the cloud of the incense may cover the Kaporet that is upon the testimony, so he will not die. 14 And he shall take of the blood of the bullock, and sprinkle it with his finger upon the Kaporet on the east; and before the Kaporet shall he sprinkle of the blood with his finger seven times. 15 Then shall he kill the goat of the Khatat, that is for the people, and bring his blood within the Parokhet, and do with his blood as he did with the blood of the bullock, and sprinkle it upon the Kaporet, and before the Kaporet. 16 And he shall make atonement for HaKodesh, because of the uncleannesses of B'nei Yisra'el and because of their transgressions, even all their sins; and so shall he do for the Ohel Mo'ed that dwells with them in the midst of their uncleannesses. 17 And there shall be no man in the Ohel Mo'ed when he goes in to make atonement in HaKodesh, until he comes out, and has made atonement for himself, and for his household, and for all the assembly of Yisra'el. 18 And he shall go out unto the Mizbe'akh that is before יהוה , and make atonement for it; and shall take of the blood of the bullock, and of the blood of the goat, and put it upon the horns of the Mizbe'akh round about. 19 And he shall sprinkle of the blood upon it with his finger seven times, and cleanse it, and hallow it from the uncleannesses of B'nei Yisra'el. 20 And when he has made an end of atoning for HaKodesh, and the Ohel Mo'ed, and the Mizbe'akh, he shall present the live goat. 21 And Aharon shall lay both his hands upon the head of the live goat, and confess over him all the iniquities of B'nei Yisra'el, and all their transgressions, even all their sins; and he shall put them upon the head of the goat, and shall send him away by the hand of an appointed man into the wilderness. 22 And the goat shall bear upon him all their iniquities unto a land which is cut off; and he shall let go the goat in the wilderness. 23 And Aharon shall come into the Ohel Mo'ed, and shall put off the linen garments, which he put on when he went into HaKodesh, and shall leave them there. 24 And he shall bathe his flesh in water in a consecrated place, and put on his other vestments and come forth and offer his Olah, and the Olah of the people, and make atonement for himself and for the people. 25 And the fat of the Khatat shall he make smoke upon the Mizbe'akh. 26 And he that lets go the goat for Azazel shall wash his clothes and bathe his flesh in water, and afterward he may come into the camp. 27 And the bullock of the Khatat, and the goat of the Khatat, whose blood was brought in to make atonement in HaKodesh, shall be carried forth without the camp; and they shall burn in the fire their skins, and their flesh, and their dung. 28 And he that burns them shall wash his clothes, and bathe his flesh in water, and afterward he may come into the camp. 29 And it shall be a statute forever unto you: in the seventh khodesh, on the tenth day of the khodesh, you shall afflict your souls, and shall do no manner of work, the home-born, or the stranger that sojourns among you. 30 For on this day shall atonement be made for you, to cleanse you; from all your sins you will be clean before יהוה . It 31 is a Shabbat Shabbaton unto you, and you shall afflict your souls; it is a statute forever. 32 And the kohen, who shall be anointed and who shall be consecrated to be kohen in his father’s stead, shall make the atonement, and shall put on the linen garments, even the consecrated garments. 33 And he shall make atonement for the Kodesh HaKadashim, and he shall make atonement for the Ohel Mo'ed and for the Mizbe'akh; and he shall make atonement for the Kohanim and for all the people of the assembly. 34 And this shall be an everlasting statute unto you, to make atonement for B'nei Yisra'el because of all their sins once in the year." And he did as יהוה commanded Moshe.

HAFTARAH

Yesha-Yahu Chapter 52
13 Behold, My servant shall prosper, he shall be exalted and lifted up, and shall be very high. 14 According as many were appalled at you, so marred was his visage unlike that of a man, and his form unlike that of the sons of men, 15 so shall He startle many nations, kings shall shut their mouths because of Him; for that which had not been told them shall they see, and that which they had not heard shall they perceive."

יְשַׁעְיָהוּ פרק נב

Yesha-Yahu Chapter 53
1 "Who would have believed our report? And to whom has Zero'ah יהוה been revealed? 2 For He shot up right forth as a sapling, and as a root out of a dry ground; He had no form nor comeliness that we should look upon Him, nor beauty that we should delight in Him. 3 He was despised, and forsaken of men, a man of pains, and acquainted with sorrows, and as one from whom men hide their faces: He was despised, and we esteemed Him not. 4 Surely our sickness he did bear, and our pains he carried; whereas we did esteem Him stricken, smitten of Elohim, and afflicted. 5 But He was wounded because of our transgressions, He was broken because of our iniquities: the chastisement of our shalom was upon Him, and with His stripes we were healed. 6 All we like sheep did go astray, we turned every one to his own way; and יהוה has made to light on Him the iniquity of us all. 7 He was oppressed, though He humbled himself and opened not his mouth; as a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and as a sheep that before her shearers is dumb; yes, He opened not his mouth. 8 By oppression and judgment He was taken away, and with His generation who did reason? For He was cut off out of the land of the living, for the transgression of my people to whom the stroke was due. 9 And they made His grave with the wicked, and with the rich His tomb; although He had done no violence, neither was any deceit in His mouth."
10 "Yet it pleased יהוה to break Him in weakness; so You would make His soul as a guilt offering, that He might see His seed, prolong His days, and that the desire of יהוה might prosper by His hand: 11 of the travail of His soul He shall see to the full, even My servant; by His knowledge, my Servant, a Tzadik, shall justify many, and their iniquities He will bear. 12 Therefore will I divide Him a portion among the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the mighty; because He poured out his soul unto Mavet, and was numbered with the transgressors; yet He bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors."

BRIT HAKHADASHAH

Yokhanan Chapter 7
1 After these things, Yeshua travelled in the Galil; for He did not wish to travel in Y'hudah because the Y'hudim wanted to kill Him. 2 Now Khag Sukkot of the Yehudim, was at hand. 3 And His brothers said to Yeshua, “Depart from here and go to Y'hudah, so that your Talmidim may see the works that you do. 4 For there is no man who does anything in secret and yet wants it to become known. If you are doing these things, show yourself to the people.” 5 For not even His own brothers trusted in Yeshua. 6 Yeshua said to them, “My time has not yet come; but your time is always here. 7 The world cannot hate you; but it hates me, because I testify against it, that its works are evil. 8 You go up to this Khag; I am not going just now to this Khag, for my time is not yet come.” 9 He said these things, and remained in the Galil. 10 But when His brothers had gone up to the Khag, then He also went up, not openly, but as it were in secret. 11 The Y'hudim were looking for Him at the Khag and said, “Where is He?” 12 And there was much murmuring among the people concerning Him; for some said, “He is good;” and others said, “No, but He just deceives the people.” 13 But no man spoke openly about Him, because of the fear of the Y'hudim.
14 Now about the middle period of the Khag, Yeshua went up to the Heikhal and taught. 15 And the Y'hudim marveled, saying, “How does this man know the scrolls when He has not studied them?” 16 Yeshua answered, saying, “My doctrine is not mine, but His who sent me. 17 He who desires to do His will can understand if my doctrine is from Elohim, or if I am just speaking of my own accord. 18 He who speaks of his own accord seeks glory for himself; but He who seeks the glory of Him who sent Him is true, and there is no deception in His heart. 19 Did not Moshe give you the Torah? And yet none of you obeys the Torah. Why do you want to kill me?” 20 The people answered, saying, “You are crazy; who wants to kill you?” 21 Yeshua answered, saying to them, “I have done one work, and all of you marvel. 22 Moshe gave you circumcision, not because it is from Moshe, but because it is from the forefathers; and yet you circumcise a man on Shabbat. 23 So if a man is circumcised on Yom Shabbat, that the Torah of Moshe may not be broken, yet you murmur at me because I healed a man on Yom Shabbat? 24 Do not judge by partiality, but judge a just judgment.” 25 Then some of the men of Yerushalayim were saying, “Is not this the man whom they want to kill? 26 And yet He speaks openly, but they say nothing to Him. Perhaps our elders have found out that He is the Mashi'akh? 27 But we know from where He comes; but when the Mashi'akh comes, no man will know from where He comes.” 28 Yeshua then lifted up his voice as He taught in the Heikhal, saying, “You know me, and you know from where I come; and yet I have not come of my own accord, but He who sent me is true, whom you do not know. 29 But I know Him; because I am from Him, and He sent me.” 30 So they wanted to seize Him; and no man laid hands on Him, because His time had not yet come. 31 But a great many of the people trusted in Him and said, “When the Mashi'akh comes, will he do greater wonders than this man does?” 32 The P'rushim heard the people talking about Him; so they and the chief Kohanim sent soldiers to arrest Him. 33 And Yeshua said, “I am with you just a short while, and I am going to Him who sent me. 34 You will seek me, but you will not find me; and where I am you cannot come.” 35 Then the Y'hudim said among themselves, “Where is He going, that we cannot find Him? Is he planning to go to the countries of the Goyim to teach the pagans? 36 What does this word mean which He said, ‘You will seek me and you will not find me, and where I am you cannot come?'”
37 Now on Yom HaGadol, which is the last day of the Khag, Yeshua stood and cried out, saying, “If any man is thirsty, let him come to me and drink. 38 Whoever trusts in me, just as the scriptures have said, the rivers of Mayim Khayim shall flow from within him.” 39 He said this concerning HaRu'akh, which they who believe in Him were to receive; for HaRu'akh was not yet given, because Yeshua was not yet glorified. 40 Many of the people who heard His words were saying, “This man truly is a navi.” 41 Others were saying, “He is the Mashi'akh;” but others said, “Is it possible that Mashi'akh should come from the Galil? 42 Does not the scripture say that Mashi'akh will come from the seed of David and from Beit Lekhem, the town of David?” 43 So the people were divided because of Him. 44 And there were some men among them who wanted to seize Him; but no man laid hands on Him.
45 And the soldiers returned to the chief Kohanim and the P'rushim; and the Kohanim said to them, “Why did you not bring Him? 46 The soldiers said to them, “Never a man has spoken as this man speaks.” 47 The P'rushim said to them, “What, have you also been deceived? 48 Have any of the leaders or of the P'rushim trusted in Him, 49 except this cursed people who do not know the Torah?” 50 Nicodemus, one of them, who had come to Yeshua at night, said to them, 51 “Does our Torah convict a man unless it first hears from him and knows what he has done?” 52 They answered, saying to him, “What, are you also from the Galil? Ivrim Chapter 7
23 And these Kohanim were many, because they were mortal and they were not permitted to continue because of death; 24 but this one, because He is immortal, has a ministry which remains forever. 25 Therefore He is able to save forever those who come to Elohim by Him, because He lives forever to make intercession for them. 26 For this is the kind of Kohen Gadol who is proper for us: pure, without evil, and undefiled, far away from sin, and made higher than the heavens; 27 and who needs not daily, as do those chief Kohanim, to offer up sacrifices, first for their own sins, and then for the people’s; for this He did once when He offered up Himself. 28 For the Torah appoints imperfect men as Kohanim; but the D'var of the Oath which came after the Torah appoints HaBen, who is perfect for evermore.

Ivrim Chapter 8
1 Now, above all, we have a Kohen Gadol who is seated at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in heaven; 2 and He has become the minister of the Beit HaKodesh and of the true Mishkan which Elohim pitched, and not man. 3 For every Kohen Gadol is appointed to offer gifts and sacrifices, therefore it is necessary that this man have something to offer also. 4 For if He were on earth, He would not be a kohen, because there are Kohanim who offer gifts according to the Torah, 5 who serve the semblance and shadow of heavenly things, just as it was commanded to Moshe when he was about to make the Mishkan, "See that you make all things according to the pattern shown you in the mount."
6 But now Yeshua HaMashi'akh has received a ministry which is higher than that; just as the covenant in which He was made a mediator is lifted up, so are the promises better than those given in it. 7 For if the first [ministry] had been faultless, then there would have been no need for the second. 8 For He found fault with them and said, "'Behold, the day is coming', says יהוה , 'when I will cut a renewed covenant with Beit Yisra'el and with Beit Yehudah; 9 not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand and led them out of the land of Mitzrayim; and because they abode not in my covenant, I rejected them', says יהוה . 'For 10 this shall be the covenant that I will make with Beit Yisra'el after those days', says יהוה : 'I will put my Torah into their minds, and I will write it on their hearts; and I will be their Elohim and they shall be my people. 11 And no man shall teach his neighbor, neither his brother, saying, 'Know יהוה ', for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest. 12 And I will forgive their wickedness and I will no longer remember their sins'." 13 For He has spoken of a renewal [of ministry]; the first has become old, and that which is old and obsolete is near passing away.

Ivrim Chapter 9
1 Then truly the first [ministry] had also ordinances of divine service and an earthly Beit HaKodesh. 2 For the first Mishkan which was made had in it the Menorah, and the Shulkhan and the Lekhem HaPenim; and it was called 'Beit Kodesh'. 3 But the inner Mishkan, which is within the next Parokhet, was called 'Kodesh HaKadashim'. 4 And there was in it the golden censer and the Aron HaBrit all overlaid with gold, and in it was the golden pot containing the Manna, and Aharon’s rod which budded, and HaLukhot HaBrit; 5 and over it the Keruvim of glory, overshadowing the Kaporet; now is not the time to describe how these things were made. 6 The Kohanim always entered into the outer Mishkan and performed their service of worship; 7 but into the inner Miskhan, The Kohen HaGadol entered alone, once every year, with the blood which he offered for himself and for the faults of the people.
8 By this The Ru'akh HaKodesh revealed that the way of the K'doshim would not yet be made known so long as the old Mishkan remained, 9 which was the symbol for that time, during which were offered both gifts and sacrifices which could not make perfect the conscience of him who offered them, 10 but which served only for food and drink, and in various ablutions which are ordinances of the flesh, and were imposed until the time of renewal. 11 But Mashi'akh, who had come, became The Kohen HaGadol of the good things which He wrought; and He entered into a greater and more perfect Mishkan which was not made by hands and was not of this world; 12 and He did not enter with the blood of goats and calves, but by His own blood He entered in once into the Beit HaMikdash, and obtained for us everlasting redemption. 13 For if the blood of goats and calves and the ashes of a heifer sprinkled on those who were defiled consecrated them even to the cleansing of their flesh, 14 how much more will the blood of Mashi'akh, who through the eternal Ru'akh offered Himself without blemish to Elohim, purify our conscience from dead works so that we may serve the living Elohim?
15 For this cause He became the mediator of the Brit Khadashah, and by His death He became redemption for those who transgressed in the beginning of the Brit, that those who are called may receive the promise of eternal inheritance. 16 For where a will is presented, it shows the death of its maker. 17 For a will is of force only after a man is dead, otherwise it is useless so long as its maker lives. 18 For this reason not even the first Brit was confirmed without blood. 19 For when Moshe had given every precept to all the people according to the Torah, Moshe took the blood of a heifer with water and scarlet wool and hyssop, and sprinkled it on the books and on all the people, 20 saying, "This is the blood of the Brit which has been ordained for you by Elohim." 21 That very blood he also sprinkled on the Mishkan and on all the vessels used for worship, 22 because everything, according to the Torah, is purified with the blood; and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.
23 It is necessary, therefore, that the patterns of things which are heavenly should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with sacrifices better than these. 24 For Mashi'akh has not entered into the Beit HaMikdash made with hands, which is the symbol of the true one; but He entered into heaven itself to appear before the presence of Elohim for our sakes. 25 Not so that He should offer Himself many times, as does The Kohen HaGadol, who enters into the Beit HaMikdash every year with blood which is not his own; 26 and if not so, then He would have been obliged to suffer many times from the very beginning of the world; but now at the end of the world, only once by His sacrifice did He offer Himself, to abolish sin. 27 And just as it is appointed for men to die once, and after their death, the judgment, 28 so Mashi'akh was once offered to bear the sins of many; so that at His second coming He shall appear without sins for the Salvation of those who look for Him.

Ivrim Chapter 10
1 For the Torah had in it a shadow of the good things to come, but was not the essence of the things themselves; hence, although the same sacrifices were offered every year, they could not perfect those who offered them. 2 For if they had once been perfected, they would have ceased from their offerings; for, from henceforth their minds would not have driven them into the sins from which they had once been cleansed. 3 But in those sacrifices they remembered their sins every year. 4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats could take away sins. 5 Therefore, when He entered into the world, He said, "Sacrifices and offerings You did not desire, but You have clothed me in a Body. 6 Burnt offering and sin offering You have not required. 7 Then said I, 'Lo, I come; in the beginning of the books it is written of me, 'I delight to do Your will, O Elohim'.' "
8 Above when He said, "Sacrifices and offerings, and burnt offerings, and offerings for sins, You would not have," these were the very ones which were offered according to the Torah. 9 And after that He said, "Lo, I come to do Your will, O Elohim." Thus He put an end to the first in order to establish the second. 10 By this very will we are made kadosh through the offering of the Body of Yeshua HaMashi'akh, once, for all. 11 For every Kohen Gadol who was appointed ministered daily, offering the same sacrifices, which had never been able to cleanse sins; 12 but this one, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins, sat down on the right hand of Elohim forever. 13 From henceforth, there He will remain until His enemies are placed as a stool under His feet. 14 For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are consecrated. 15 The Ru'akh HaKodesh is also a witness to us; for He had said before, 16 "This is the Brit that I will make with them after those days, says יהוה , I will put my Torah in their minds and write it on their hearts. 17 And their iniquities and sins will I remember no more." 18 For where there is forgiveness of sins, there is no need for an offering for sins.
19 Having therefore, my brethren, confidence to enter into the Beit HaKodesh by the blood of Yeshua, 20 by a new and living way which He has made new for us through the veil, that is to say, His Body, 21 and having a great Kohen Gadol over Beit HaElohim, 22 therefore, let us draw near with a whole heart, in full assurance of absolute trust, having our hearts sprinkled and cleansed of evil thought and our bodies washed with pure water. 23 Let us remain firm in the profession of our absolute trust, without wavering, for He who has promised us is faithful. 24 And let us consider one another, to stir up love and good works, 25 not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is customary for some; but exhorting one another, and so much the more when you see that Day approaching.
