D'varim Chapter 5
1 And Moshe called unto all Yisra'el, and said unto them, "Shema, Yisra'el, [hear] the Khukot and the Mishpatim which I speak in your ears this day, that you may learn them, and observe to do them. 2 יהוה our Elohim made a covenant with us in Khorev. 3 יהוה did not make this covenant with our fathers, but with us, even us, who are all of us here alive this day. 4 יהוה spoke with you face to face in the mount out of the midst of the fire, 5 I stood between יהוה and you at that time, to declare unto you the D'var יהוה ; for you were afraid because of the fire, and went not up into the mount, to say:
6 'I am יהוה your Elohim, who brought you out of the land of Mitzrayim, out of the house of bondage. you shall have no other gods before Me. 7 You shall not make unto you a graven image, even any manner of likeness, of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. 8 You shall not bow down unto them, nor serve them; for I, יהוה your Elohim, am El Kanah, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the third and upon the fourth generation of them that hate Me, 9 and showing mercy unto the thousandth generation of them that love Me and keep My Mitzvot. 10 You shall not take the Name of יהוה your Elohim in vain; for יהוה will not hold him guiltless that takes His Name in vain. 11 Observe Yom HaShabbat, to keep it Kadosh, as יהוה your Elohim commanded you. 12 Six days shall you labor, and do all your work; 13 but the seventh day is a Shabbat unto יהוה your Elohim. In it you shall not do any manner of work, you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your man-servant, nor your maid-servant, nor your ox, nor your donkey, nor any of your cattle, nor your stranger that is within your gates; that your man-servant and your maid-servant may rest as well as you. 14 And you shall remember that you were a servant in the land of Mitzrayim, and יהוה your Elohim brought you out of there by a mighty hand and by an outstretched arm; therefore יהוה your Elohim commanded you to keep Yom HaShabbat. 15 Honor your father and your mother, as יהוה your Elohim commanded you; that your days may be long, and that it may go well with you, upon the land which יהוה your Elohim gives you. 16 You shall not murder. Neither shall you commit adultery. Neither shall you steal. Neither shall you bear false witness against your neighbor. 17 Neither shall you covet your neighbor’s wife; neither shall you desire your neighbor’s house, his field, or his man-servant, or his maid-servant, his ox, or his donkey, or any thing that is your neighbor's.'
18 "These words יהוה spoke unto all your assembly in the mount out of the midst of the fire, of the cloud, and of the thick darkness, with a great voice, and it went on no more. And He wrote them upon two lukhot of stone, and gave them unto me. 19 And it came to pass, when you heard the voice out of the midst of the darkness, while the mountain did burn with fire, that you came near unto me, even all the heads of your tribes, and your elders; 20 and you said, 'Behold, יהוה our Elohim has shown us His K'vod and His greatness, and we have heard His voice out of the midst of the fire; we have seen this day that Elohim does speak with man, and he lives. 21 Now therefore why should we die? For this great fire will consume us; if we hear the voice of יהוה our Elohim any more, then we shall die. 22 For who is there of all flesh, that has heard the voice of the living Elohim speaking out of the midst of the fire, as we have, and lived? 23 You go near, and hear all that יהוה our Elohim may say; and you shall speak unto us all that יהוה our Elohim may speak unto you; and we will hear it and do it.' 24 And יהוה heard the voice of your words, when you spoke unto me; and יהוה said unto me, 'I have heard the voice of the words of this people, which they have spoken unto you; they have well said all that they have spoken. 25 Oh that they had such a heart as this always, to fear Me, and keep all My Mitzvot, that it might be well with them, and with their children, forever! 26 Go say to them, 'Return to your tents.' 27 But as for you, you stand here by Me, and I will speak unto you all the Mitzvah, and the Khukot, and the Mishpatim, which you shall teach them, that they may do them in the land which I give them to possess it.' 28 You shall observe to do therefore as יהוה your Elohim has commanded you; you shall not turn aside to the right hand or to the left. 29 You shall walk in all HaDerekh which יהוה your Elohim has commanded you, that you may live, and that it may be well with you, and that you may prolong your days in the land which you shall possess."

D'varim Chapter 6
1 Now this is the Mitzvah, the Khukot, and the Mishpatim, which יהוה your Elohim commanded to teach you, that you might do them in the land where you go over to possess it, 2 that you might fear יהוה your Elohim, to keep all His Khukot and His Mitzvot, which I command you, you, and your son, and your son’s son, all the days of your life; and that your days may be prolonged. 3 Hear therefore, O Yisra'el, and observe to do it; that it may be well with you, and that you may increase mightily, as יהוה , the Elohim of your fathers, has promised unto you, a land flowing with milk and honey.

4 Shema, Yisra'el: יהוה is our Elohim, יהוה is Ekhad. 5 And you shall love יהוה your Elohim with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might. 6 And these words, which I command you this day, shall be upon your heart; 7 and you shall impress them upon your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise up. 8 And you shall bind them for a sign upon your hand, and they shall be for frontlets between your eyes. 9 And you shall write them upon the door-posts of your house, and upon your gates.

10 And it shall be, when יהוה your Elohim shall bring you into the land which He swore unto your fathers, to Avraham, to Yitz'khak, and to Ya'akov, to give you, great and goodly cities which you did not build, 11 and houses full of all good things which you did not fill, and cisterns hewn out which you did not hew, vineyards and olive trees which you did not plant, and you shall eat and be satisfied, 12 then beware lest you forget יהוה , who brought you forth out of the land of Mitzrayim, out of the house of bondage. 13 You shall fear יהוה your Elohim; and Him shall you serve, and by His Name shall you make an oath. 14 You shall not go after other gods, of the gods of the peoples that are round about you; 15 for El Kanah, even יהוה your Elohim, is in the midst of you; lest the anger of יהוה your Elohim be kindled against you, and He destroys you from off the face of the earth. 16 You shall not test יהוה your Elohim, as you tested Him in Masah. 17 You shall diligently keep the Mitzvot of יהוה your Elohim, and His testimonies, and His Khukot, which He has commanded you. 18 And you shall do that which is right and good in the sight of יהוה , that it may be well with you, and that you may go in and possess the good land which יהוה swore unto your fathers, 19 to thrust out all your enemies from before you, as יהוה has spoken. 20 When your son asks you in time to come, saying, 'What do the testimonies, and the Khukot, and the Mishpatim, which יהוה our Elohim has commanded you, mean?' 21 Then you shall say unto your son, 'We were Paroh’s servants in Mitzrayim; and יהוה brought us out of Mitzrayim with a mighty hand. 22 And יהוה showed signs and wonders, great and sore, upon Mitzrayim, upon Paroh, and upon all his house, before our eyes. 23 And He brought us out from there, that He might bring us in, to give us the land which He swore unto our fathers. 24 And יהוה commanded us to do all these Khukot, to fear יהוה our Elohim, for our good always, that He might preserve us alive, as it is at this day. 25 And it shall be righteousness unto us, if we observe to do all this commandment before יהוה our Elohim, as He has commanded us'."

D'varim Chapter 7
1 "When יהוה your Elohim shall bring you into the land where you go to possess it, and shall cast out many nations before you, the Khiti, and the Girgashi, and the Amori, and the Kena'ani, and the Perizi, and the Khivi, and the Yevusi, seven nations greater and mightier than you; 2 and when יהוה your Elohim shall deliver them up before you, and you shall smite them; then you shall utterly destroy them; you shall make no covenant with them, nor show mercy unto them; 3 neither shall you make marriages with them: your daughter you shall not give unto his son, nor his daughter shall you take unto your son. 4 For he will turn away your son from following Me, that they may serve other gods; so will the anger of יהוה be kindled against you, and He will destroy you quickly. 5 But thus shall you deal with them: you shall break down their altars, and dash in pieces their pillars, and hew down their Asherim, and burn their graven images with fire. 6 For you are a consecrated people unto יהוה your Elohim: יהוה your Elohim has chosen you to be His own treasure, out of all peoples that are upon the face of the earth. 7 יהוה did not set His love upon you, nor choose you, because you were more in number than any people, for you were the fewest of all peoples, 8 but because יהוה loved you, and because He would keep the oath which He swore unto your fathers, has יהוה brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, from the hand of Paroh king of Mitzrayim. 9 Know therefore that יהוה your Elohim, He is Elohim; the faithful Elohim, who keeps covenant and mercy with them that love Him and keep His Mitzvot to a thousand generations; 10 and repays them that hate Him to their face, to destroy them; He will not be slack to him that hates Him, He will repay him to his face. 11 You shall therefore keep the Mitzvah, and the Khukot, and the Mishpatim, which I command you this day, to do them."

HAFTARAH

Yesha-Yahu Chapter 40
1 "'Comfort, comfort My people', says your Elohim. 2 'Bid Yerushalayim take heart, and proclaim unto her that her time of service is accomplished, that her guilt is paid off; that she has received of the hand of יהוה double for all her sins.' 3 'Hark!' one calls, 'Clear in the wilderness the way of יהוה , make plain in the desert a highway for our Elohim'. 4 Every valley shall be lifted up, and every mountain and hill shall be made low; and the rugged shall be made level, and the rough places a plain; 5 and the Kavod יהוה shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together; for the mouth of יהוה has spoken it."
6 "'Hark!' one says, 'Proclaim!' And he says, 'What shall I proclaim? All flesh is grass, and all the goodliness thereof is as the flower of the field; 7 the grass withers, the flower fades; because the breath of יהוה blows upon it; surely the people is grass. 8 The grass withers, the flower fades; but the D'var Eloheinu shall stand forever.' 9 O you that tell good tidings to Tzion, get up into the high mountain; O you that tell good tidings to Yerushalayim, lift up your voice with strength; lift it up, be not afraid; say unto the cities of Yehudah, 'Behold your Elohim!' 10 Behold, Adonai יהוה will come as a Mighty One, and His arm will rule for Him; behold, His reward is with Him, and His recompense before Him. 11 Even as a shepherd that feeds his flock, that gathers the lambs in his arm, and carries them in his bosom, and gently leads those that nurse. 12 Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance? 13 Who has meted out the Ru'akh יהוה ? Or who was His counsellor that he might instruct Him? 14 With whom did He take counsel, and who instructed Him, and taught Him in the path of right, and taught Him knowledge, and made Him to know the way of discernment? 15 Behold, the nations are as a drop of a bucket, and are counted as the small dust of the balance; behold the isles are as a mote in weight. 16 And Levanon is not sufficient fuel, nor the beasts thereof sufficient for an Olah."
17 "All the nations are as nothing before Him; they are accounted by Him as things of nought, and vanity. 18 To whom then will you liken God? Or what likeness will you compare unto Him? 19 The image perchance, which the craftsman has melted, and the goldsmith spread over with gold, the silversmith casting silver chains? 20 A holm-oak is consecrated, he chooses a tree that will not rot; he seeks unto him a cunning craftsman to set up an image that shall not be moved. 21 Do you not know? Do you not hear? Has it not been told you from the beginning? Have you not understood the foundations of the earth? 22 It is He that sits above the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretches out the heavens as a curtain, and spreads them out as a tent to dwell in; 23 that brings princes to nothing; He makes the judges of the earth as a thing of nought. 24 Scarce are they planted, scarce are they sown, scarce has their stock taken root in the earth; when He blows upon them, they wither, and the whirlwind takes them away as stubble. 25 'To whom, then, will you liken Me, that I should be equal,' says the Kadosh One. 26 Lift up your eyes on high, and see: who has created these? He that brings out their host by number, He calls them all by name; by the greatness of His might, and for that He is strong in power, not one fails.

BRIT HAKHADASHAH

Matti Chapter 4
1 Then Yeshua was carried away by The Ru'akh HaKodesh into the wilderness, to be tempted by the adversary. 2 So He fasted forty days and forty nights; but at last He was hungry. 3 And the tempter drew near and said to Him, “If you are Ben HaElohim, tell these stones to become bread.” 4 But He answered and said, “It is written, that it is not by bread alone that man can live, but by every word which comes from the mouth of Elohim.” 5 Then HaSatan took Him to the consecrated city, and he made Him to stand up on the corner of the Heikhal. 6 And he said to Him, “If you are Ben HaElohim, throw yourself down; for it is written, "He will command His Malakhim concerning You, and they will bear You up on their hands, so that even Your foot may not strike a stone.” 7 Yeshua said to him, “Again it is written that you shall not test יהוה your Elohim." 8 Again HaSatan took Him to a very high mountain, and he showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. 9 And he said to Him, “All of these I will give to you, if you will fall down and worship me.” 10 Then Yeshua said to him, “Go away, HaSatan, for it is written, ‘You shall worship יהוה your Elohim, and Him only shall you serve'.” 11 Then HaSatan left Him alone; and behold, the messengers drew near and ministered unto Him.

Yokhanan Markos Chapter 12
28 And one of the Sofrim came near and heard them debating, and he saw that He gave them a good answer. So he asked Him, “Which is the first mitzvah of all?” 29 Yeshua said to him, “The first of all the mitzvot is,

‘Shema, Yisra'el, יהוה Eloheinu, יהוה Ekhad! [Hear O Yisra'el, יהוה is our Elohim, יהוה is One]. 30 And you must love יהוה your Elohim with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your might;' this is the first mitzvah. 31 And the second is like unto it, ‘You must love your neighbor as your own nefesh.' There is no other mitzvah greater than these two.”

32 The Sofer said to Him, “Well said, Rabbi, you have said the truth, that He is One, and there is no other besides Him; 33 and that a man should love Him with all the heart and with all the mind and with all the soul and with all the might, and love his neighbor as his own nefesh; this is far more important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices.” 34 When Yeshua saw that he replied wisely, He answered, saying to him, “You are not far from Malkhut HaElohim.” And no man dared again to question Him.

Luka Chapter 22
13 And they went and found it just as He had said to them; and they prepared the Pesakh. 14 And when it was time, Yeshua came and sat down, and the twelve Shlikhim with Him. 15 And He said to them, “I have greatly desired to eat this Pesakh with you before I suffer; 16 for I say to you that henceforth I will not eat it until it is fulfilled in Malkhut HaElohim.” 17 [Not in Aramaic Peshitta and other early texts] 18 [Not in Aramaic Peshitta and other early texts] 19 And He took bread and gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them and said, “This is my body, which is given for your sake; this do in remembrance of me.” 20 And likewise also He took the cup, after they had eaten supper, and He said, “This is the cup of the Brit Khadashah in my blood, which is shed for you.”
21 “But behold, the hand of him who is to betray me is on the table. 22 And Ben HaAdam will go, just as He has been destined; but woe to the man by whose hand He will be betrayed!” 23 And they began to inquire among themselves which one of them was to do this act. 24 There was also a dispute among them as to who was the greatest among them. 25 Yeshua said to them, “The kings of the Goyim are also their lords, and those who rule over them are called benefactors; 26 but not so with you; let him who is great among you be the least, and he who is a leader be like one who serves. 27 For who is greater, he who sits down or he who serves? Is it not he who sits down? But I am among you as one who serves. 28 You are those who have remained with me throughout my trials. 29 And I promise you, just as Avi has promised me a kingdom, 30 that you may eat and drink at the table in my kingdom; and you will sit on thrones and judge the twelve tribes of Yisra'el.” 31 And Yeshua said to Shimon, “Shimon, behold, HaSatan wants to sift all of you like wheat; 32 but I have made supplication for you that your Emunah may not weaken; and even you in time will repent and strengthen your brethren.” 33 Shimon said to Him, “My Adon, I am ready with you, even for the prison and for death.” 34 Yeshua said to him, “I say to you, Shimon, the cock will not crow today until you have denied three times that you know me.” 35 And He said to them, “When I sent you out without purses and without bags and shoes, did you lack anything?” They said to Him, “Not a thing.” 36 He said to them, “From now on, he who has purses, let him take them, and the bag likewise; and he who has no sword, let him sell his robe and buy for himself a sword. 37 For I say to you that what is written must be fulfilled in me, ‘He will be numbered among the wicked;' for all the things concerning me will be fulfilled.” 38 And they said to Him, “Adoneinu, behold, here are two swords.” He said to them, “That is enough.”
