TORAH

B'reshit Chapter 31
17 Then Ya'akov rose up, and set his sons and his wives upon the camels; 18 and he carried away all his cattle, and all his substance which he had gathered, the cattle of his getting, which he had gathered in Padan Aram, to go to Yitz'khak his father unto the land of Kena'an. 19 Now Lavan was gone to shear his sheep. And Rakhel stole the terafim that were her father's. 20 And Ya'akov outwitted Lavan the Arami, in that he told him not that he fled. 21 So he fled with all that he had; and he rose up, and passed over the River, and set his face toward the mountain of Gilad. 22 And it was told Lavan on the third day that Ya'akov was fled. 23 And he took his brethren with him, and pursued after him seven days' journey; and he overtook him in the mountain of Gilad. 24 And Elohim came to Lavan the Arami in a dream of the night, and said unto him, "Take heed to yourself that you speak not to Ya'akov either good or bad." 25 And Lavan came up with Ya'akov. Now Ya'akov had pitched his tent in the mountain; and Lavan with his brethren pitched in the mountain of Gilad. 26 And Lavan said to Ya'akov, "What have you done, that you have outwitted me, and carried away my daughters as though captives of the sword? 27 Why did you flee secretly, and outwit me; and did not tell me, that I might have sent you away with mirth and with songs, with tabret and with harp; 28 and did not suffer me to kiss my sons and my daughters? Now have you done foolishly. 29 It is in the power of my hand to do you hurt; but the Elohim of your father spoke unto me last night, saying, 'Take heed to yourself that you speak not to Ya'akov either good or bad." 30 And now that you are surely gone, because you sorely long after your father's house, why have you stolen my gods?" 31 And Ya'akov answered and said to Lavan, "Because I was afraid; for I said, 'Lest you should take your daughters from me by force'." 32 With whomever you find your gods, he shall not live; before our brethren, discern what is yours with me, and take it to yourself." For Ya'akov knew not that Rakhel had stolen them. 33 And Lavan went into Ya'akov's tent, and into Le'ah's tent, and into the tent of the two maid-servants; but he found them not. And he went out of Le'ah's tent, and entered into Rakhel's tent. 34 Now Rakhel had taken the terafim, and put them in the saddle of the camel, and sat upon them. And Lavan felt about all the tent, but found them not. 35 And she said to her father, "Let not my Adon be angry that I cannot rise up before you; for the manner of women is upon me." And he searched, but found not the terafim. 36 And Ya'akov was wroth, and strove with Lavan. And Ya'akov answered and said to Lavan, "What is my trespass? What is my sin, that you have hotly pursued after me? 37 Whereas you have felt about all my stuff, what have you found of all your household stuff? Set it here before my brethren and your brethren, that they may judge between us two. 38 These twenty years have I been with you; your ewes and your she-goats have not cast their young, and the rams of your flocks have I not eaten. 39 That which was torn of beasts I brought not unto you; I bore the loss of it; of my hand did you require it, whether stolen by day or stolen by night. 40 Thus I was: in the day the drought consumed me, and the frost by night; and my sleep fled from my eyes. 41 These twenty years have I been in your house: I served you fourteen years for your two daughters, and six years for your flock; and you have changed my wages ten times. 42 Except the Elohim of my father, the Elohim of Avraham, and the Pakhad Yitz'khak, had been on my side, surely now you would have sent me away empty. Elohim has seen my affliction and the labor of my hands, and gave judgment last night." 43 And Lavan answered and said unto Ya'akov, "The daughters are my daughters, and the children are my children, and the flocks are my flocks, and all that you see is mine; and what can I do this day for these my daughters, or for their children whom they have borne? 44 And now come, let us make a Brit, I and you; and let it be for a witness between me and you." 45 And Ya'akov took a stone, and set it up for a pillar. 46 And Ya'akov said unto his brethren, "Gather stones;" and they took stones, and made a heap. And they did eat there by the heap. 47 And Lavan called it Yegar Sahaduta; but Ya'akov called it Galed. 48 And Lavan said, "This heap is witness between me and you this day." Therefore was the name of it called Galed; 49 and Mitzpah, for he said, " יהוה watch between me and you, when we are absent one from another. 50 If you shall afflict my daughters, and if you shall take wives beside my daughters, no man being with us; see, Elohim is witness between me and you." 51 And Lavan said to Ya'akov, "Behold this heap, and behold the pillar, which I have set up between me and you. 52 This heap is witness, and the pillar is witness, that I will not pass over this heap to you, and that you shall not pass over this heap and this pillar unto me, for harm. 53 The Elohim of Avraham, and the Elohim of Nakhor, the Elohim of their father, judge between us." And Ya'akov swore by the Pakhad of his father Yitz'khak. 54 And Ya'akov offered a sacrifice in the mountain, and called his brethren to eat bread; and they did eat bread, and tarried all night in the mountain.

B'reshit Chapter 32
1 And early in the morning Lavan rose up, and kissed his sons and his daughters, and blessed them. And Lavan departed, and returned unto his place. 2 And Ya'akov went on his way, and the messengers of Elohim met him. 3 And Ya'akov said when he saw them, "This is Makhanei Elohim." And he called the name of that place Makhanayim.

Hoshe'ah Chapter 12
13 And Ya'akov fled into the field of Aram, and Yisra'el served for a wife, and for a wife he kept sheep. 14 And by a Navi יהוה brought Yisra'el up out of Mitzrayim, and by a Navi was he kept. 15 Efrayim has provoked most bitterly; therefore shall his blood be cast upon him, and his reproach shall his Adon return unto him.

Hoshe'ah Chapter 13
1 "When Efrayim spoke, there was trembling, he exalted himself in Yisra'el; but when he became guilty through Ba'al, he died. 2 And now they sin more and more, and have made them molten images of their silver, according to their own understanding, even idols, all of them the work of the craftsmen; of them they say, 'They that sacrifice men kiss calves.' 3 Therefore they shall be as the morning cloud, and as the dew that early passes away, as the chaff that is driven with the wind out of the threshing-floor, and as the smoke out of the window. 4 Yet I am יהוה your Elohim from the land of Mitzrayim; and you know no Elohim but Me, and beside Me there is no Moshi'ah. 5 I did know you in the wilderness, in the land of great drought. 6 When they were fed, they became full, they were filled, and their heart was exalted; therefore have they forgotten Me. 7 Therefore am I become unto them as a lion; as a leopard will I watch by the way; 8 I will meet them as a bear that is bereaved of her whelps, and will rend the enclosure of their heart; and there will I devour them like a lioness; the wild beast shall tear them. 9 It is your destruction, O Yisra'el, that you are against Me, against your help. 10 Ho, now, your king, that he may save you in all your cities! And your judges, of whom you said, 'Give me a king and princes!' 11 I give you a king in My anger, and take him away in My wrath."
12 "The iniquity of Efrayim is bound up; his sin is laid up in store. 13 The throes of a travailing woman shall come upon him; he is an unwise son; for it is time he should not tarry in the place of the breaking forth of children. 14 Shall I ransom them from the power of She'ol? Shall I redeem them from Mavet? Ho, your plagues, O Mavet! Ho, your destruction, O She'ol! Repentance is hid from My eyes! 15 For though he is fruitful among the reed-plants, an east wind shall come, the Ru'akh יהוה coming up from the wilderness, and his spring shall become dry, and his fountain shall be dried up; he shall spoil the treasure of all precious vessels."

Matti Chapter 3
13 Then Yeshua came from the Galil to the Yarden to Yokhanan, to be immersed by him. 14 But Yokhanan tried to stop Him, and said, “I need to be immersed by you, and yet have you come to me?” 15 But Yeshua answered and said to him, “Permit it now, for this is necessary for us, so that all tzedaka [righteousness] may be fulfilled;” and then he permitted Him.
16 When Yeshua was immersed, He immediately came out of the water; and the heavens were opened to Him, and he saw Ru'akh HaElohim descending like a dove, and resting upon Him; 17 and behold, a voice from the heavens, which said, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am pleased.”

1 Then Yeshua was carried away by The Ru'akh HaKodesh into the wilderness, to be tempted by the adversary. 2 So He fasted forty days and forty nights; but at last He was hungry. 3 And the tempter drew near and said to Him, “If you are Ben HaElohim, tell these stones to become bread.” 4 But He answered and said, “It is written, that it is not by bread alone that man can live, but by every word which comes from the mouth of Elohim.” 5 Then HaSatan took Him to the consecrated city, and he made Him to stand up on the corner of the Heikhal. 6 And he said to Him, “If you are Ben HaElohim, throw yourself down; for it is written, "He will command His Malakhim concerning You, and they will bear You up on their hands, so that even Your foot may not strike a stone.” 7 Yeshua said to him, “Again it is written that you shall not test יהוה your Elohim." 8 Again HaSatan took Him to a very high mountain, and he showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. 9 And he said to Him, “All of these I will give to you, if you will fall down and worship me.” 10 Then Yeshua said to him, “Go away, HaSatan, for it is written, ‘You shall worship יהוה your Elohim, and Him only shall you serve'.” 11 Then HaSatan left Him alone; and behold, the messengers drew near and ministered unto Him.

Yokhanan Chapter 1
43 The next day Yeshua wanted to leave for the Galil, and He found Filipos and said to him, “Follow me.” 44 Now Filipos was from Beit Tza'ida, the city of Andra'us and Shimon. 45 Filipos found Netan'el, and said to him, “This is the one concerning whom Moshe wrote in the Torah and the Nevi’im, we have found Him! It is Yeshua Ben Yosef; He is from Natzrat.” 46 Netan'el said to him, “Can anything good come out of Natzrat?” Filipos said to him, “Come, and you will see.” 47 Yeshua saw Netan'el coming to Him and He said of him, “Behold, a true son of Yisra'el, in whom there is no guile!”
48 Netan'el said to him, “How do you know me?” Yeshua said to him, “Even before Filipos called you, while you were under the fig tree, I saw you.” 49 Netan'el answered, saying to Him, “Rabbi, you are Ben HaElohim, you are Melekh Yisra’el.” 50 Yeshua said to him, “Do you believe because I told you I saw you under the fig tree? You shall see greater things than these.” 51 He said to him, “Amein, amein, I say to all of you, that from now on you will see Heaven opened and the Malakhim of Elohim ascending and descending to Ben HaAdam.”
