BaMidbar Chapter 8
1 And יהוה spoke unto Moshe, saying, 2 "Speak unto Aharon, and say unto him, 'When you ascend [to] the lamps, the seven lamps shall give light in front of the Menorah'." 3 And Aharon did so: he lit the lamps thereof so as to give light in front of the Menorah, as יהוה commanded Moshe. 4 And this was the work of the Menorah, beaten work of gold; unto the base thereof, and unto the flowers thereof, it was beaten work; according unto the pattern which יהוה had shown Moshe, so he made the Menorah.
5 And יהוה spoke unto Moshe, saying, 6 "Take the Levi'im from among B'nei Yisra'el, and cleanse them. 7 And thus shall you do unto them, to cleanse them: sprinkle the water of purification upon them, and let them cause a razor to pass over all their flesh, and let them wash their clothes, and cleanse themselves. 8 Then let them take a young bullock, and its Minkhah, fine flour mingled with oil, and another young bullock shall you take for a Khatat. 9 And you shall present the Levi'im before the Ohel Mo'ed; and you shall assemble the whole assembly of B'nei Yisra'el. 10 And you shall present the Levi'im before יהוה ; and B'nei Yisra'el shall lay their hands upon the Levi'im. 11 And Aharon shall offer the Levi'im before יהוה for a Tenufah from B'nei Yisra'el, that they may do the service of יהוה . And 12 the Levi'im shall lay their hands upon the heads of the bullocks; and offer you the one for a Khatat, and the other for an Olah, unto יהוה , to make atonement for the Levi'im. 13 And you shall set the Levi'im before Aharon, and before his sons, and offer them for a Tenufah unto יהוה . Thus 14 shall you separate the Levi'im from among B'nei Yisra'el, and the Levi'im shall be Mine. 15 And after that shall the Levi'im go in to do the service of the Ohel Mo'ed; and you shall cleanse them, and offer them for a Tenufah. 16 For they are wholly given unto Me from among B'nei Yisra'el; instead of all that open the womb, even the first-born of all B'nei Yisra'el, have I taken them unto Me. 17 For all the first-born among B'nei Yisra'el are Mine, both man and beast; on the day that I smote all the first-born in the land of Mitzrayim I consecrated them for Myself. 18 And I have taken the Levi'im instead of all the first-born among B'nei Yisra'el. 19 And I have given the Levi'im; they are given to Aharon and to his sons from among B'nei Yisra'el, to do the service of B'nei Yisra'el in the Ohel Mo'ed, and to make atonement for B'nei Yisra'el, that there be no plague among B'nei Yisra'el, through B'nei Yisra'el coming nigh unto HaKodesh." 20 Thus did Moshe, and Aharon, and all the assembly of B'nei Yisra'el, unto the Levi'im; according unto all that יהוה commanded Moshe touching the Levi'im, so did B'nei Yisra'el unto them. 21 And the Levi'im purified themselves, and they washed their clothes; and Aharon offered them for a consecrated gift before יהוה ; and Aharon made atonement for them to cleanse them. 22 And after that the Levi'im went in to do their service in the Ohel Mo'ed before Aharon, and before his sons; as יהוה had commanded Moshe concerning the Levi'im, so did they unto them.
23 And יהוה spoke unto Moshe, saying, 24 "This is that which pertains unto the Levi'im: from twenty-five years old and upward they shall go in to perform the service in the work of the Ohel Mo'ed; 25 and from the age of fifty years they shall return from the service of the work, and shall serve no more; 26 but shall minister with their brethren in the Ohel Mo'ed, to keep the charge, but they shall do no manner of service. Thus shall you do unto the Levi'im touching their charges."

א וַיְדַבֵּר יהוה אֶל מֹשֶׁה לֵּאמֹר.
ב דַּבֵּר אֶל אַהֲרֹן וְאָמַרְתָּ אֵלָיו בְּהַעֲלֹתְךָ אֶת הַנֵּרֹת אֶל מוּל פְּנֵי הַמְּנוֹרָה יָאִירוּ שִׁבְעַת הַנֵּרוֹת.
ג וַיַּעַשׂ כֵּן אַהֲרֹן אֶל מוּל פְּנֵי הַמְּנוֹרָה הֶעֱלָה נֵרֹתֶיהָ כַּאֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יהוה אֶת מֹשֶׁה.
ד וְזֶה מַעֲשֵׂה הַמְּנֹרָה מִקְשָׁה זָהָב עַד יְרֵכָהּ עַד פִּרְחָהּ מִקְשָׁה הִוא כַּמַּרְאֶה אֲשֶׁר הֶרְאָה יהוה אֶת מֹשֶׁה כֵּן עָשָׂה אֶת הַמְּנֹרָה.
ה וַיְדַבֵּר יהוה אֶל מֹשֶׁה לֵּאמֹר.
ו קַח אֶת הַלְוִיִּם מִתּוֹךְ בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְטִהַרְתָּ אֹתָם.
ז וְכֹה תַעֲשֶׂה לָהֶם לְטַהֲרָם הַזֵּה עֲלֵיהֶם מֵי חַטָּאת וְהֶעֱבִירוּ תַעַר עַל כָּל בְּשָׂרָם וְכִבְּסוּ בִגְדֵיהֶם וְהִטֶּהָרוּ.
ח וְלָקְחוּ פַּר בֶּן בָּקָר וּמִנְחָתוֹ סֹלֶת בְּלוּלָה בַשָּׁמֶן וּפַר שֵׁנִי בֶן בָּקָר תִּקַּח לְחַטָּאת.
ט וְהִקְרַבְתָּ אֶת הַלְוִיִּם לִפְנֵי אֹהֶל מוֹעֵד וְהִקְהַלְתָּ אֶת כָּל עֲדַת בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל.
י וְהִקְרַבְתָּ אֶת הַלְוִיִּם לִפְנֵי יהוה וְסָמְכוּ בְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל אֶת יְדֵיהֶם עַל הַלְוִיִּם.
יא וְהֵנִיף אַהֲרֹן אֶת הַלְוִיִּם תְּנוּפָה לִפְנֵי יהוה מֵאֵת בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְהָיוּ לַעֲבֹד אֶת עֲבֹדַת יהוה .
יב וְהַלְוִיִּם יִסְמְכוּ אֶת יְדֵיהֶם עַל רֹאשׁ הַפָּרִים וַעֲשֵׂה אֶת הָאֶחָד חַטָּאת וְאֶת הָאֶחָד עֹלָה לַיהוה לְכַפֵּר עַל הַלְוִיִּם.
יג וְהַעֲמַדְתָּ אֶת הַלְוִיִּם לִפְנֵי אַהֲרֹן וְלִפְנֵי בָנָיו וְהֵנַפְתָּ אֹתָם תְּנוּפָה לַיהוה .
יד וְהִבְדַּלְתָּ אֶת הַלְוִיִּם מִתּוֹךְ בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְהָיוּ לִי הַלְוִיִּם.
טו וְאַחֲרֵי כֵן יָבֹאוּ הַלְוִיִּם לַעֲבֹד אֶת אֹהֶל מוֹעֵד וְטִהַרְתָּ אֹתָם וְהֵנַפְתָּ אֹתָם תְּנוּפָה.
טז כִּי נְתֻנִים נְתֻנִים הֵמָּה לִי מִתּוֹךְ בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל תַּחַת פִּטְרַת כָּל רֶחֶם בְּכוֹר כֹּל מִבְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל לָקַחְתִּי אֹתָם לִי.
יז כִּי לִי כָל בְּכוֹר בִּבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל בָּאָדָם וּבַבְּהֵמָה בְּיוֹם הַכֹּתִי כָל בְּכוֹר בְּאֶרֶץ מִצְרַיִם הִקְדַּשְׁתִּי אֹתָם לִי.
יח וָאֶקַּח אֶת הַלְוִיִּם תַּחַת כָּל בְּכוֹר בִּבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל.
יט וָאֶתְּנָה אֶת הַלְוִיִּם נְתֻנִים לְאַהֲרֹן וּלְבָנָיו מִתּוֹךְ בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל לַעֲבֹד אֶת עֲבֹדַת בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל בְּאֹהֶל מוֹעֵד וּלְכַפֵּר עַל בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְלֹא יִהְיֶה בִּבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל נֶגֶף בְּגֶשֶׁת בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל אֶל הַקֹּדֶשׁ.
כ וַיַּעַשׂ מֹשֶׁה וְאַהֲרֹן וְכָל עֲדַת בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל לַלְוִיִּם כְּכֹל אֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יהוה אֶת מֹשֶׁה לַלְוִיִּם כֵּן עָשׂוּ לָהֶם בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל.
כא וַיִּתְחַטְּאוּ הַלְוִיִּם וַיְכַבְּסוּ בִּגְדֵיהֶם וַיָּנֶף אַהֲרֹן אֹתָם תְּנוּפָה לִפְנֵי יהוה וַיְכַפֵּר עֲלֵיהֶם אַהֲרֹן לְטַהֲרָם.
כב וְאַחֲרֵי כֵן בָּאוּ הַלְוִיִּם לַעֲבֹד אֶת עֲבֹדָתָם בְּאֹהֶל מוֹעֵד לִפְנֵי אַהֲרֹן וְלִפְנֵי בָנָיו כַּאֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יהוה אֶת מֹשֶׁה עַל הַלְוִיִּם כֵּן עָשׂוּ לָהֶם.
כג וַיְדַבֵּר יהוה אֶל מֹשֶׁה לֵּאמֹר. כד זֹאת אֲשֶׁר לַלְוִיִּם מִבֶּן חָמֵשׁ וְעֶשְׂרִים שָׁנָה וָמַעְלָה יָבוֹא לִצְבֹא צָבָא בַּעֲבֹדַת אֹהֶל מוֹעֵד.
כה וּמִבֶּן חֲמִשִּׁים שָׁנָה יָשׁוּב מִצְּבָא הָעֲבֹדָה וְלֹא יַעֲבֹד עוֹד.
כו וְשֵׁרֵת אֶת אֶחָיו בְּאֹהֶל מוֹעֵד לִשְׁמֹר מִשְׁמֶרֶת וַעֲבֹדָה לֹא יַעֲבֹד כָּכָה תַּעֲשֶׂה לַלְוִיִּם בְּמִשְׁמְרֹתָם.

BaMidbar Chapter 9
1 And יהוה spoke unto Moshe in the wilderness of Sinai, in the first khodesh of the second year after they were come out of the land of Mitzrayim, saying, 2 "Let B'nei Yisra'el keep the Pesakh in its appointed season. 3 In the fourteenth day of this khodesh, at dusk, you shall keep it in its appointed season; according to all the Khukot of it, and according to all the Mishpatim thereof shall you keep it." 4 And Moshe spoke unto B'nei Yisra'el, that they should keep the Pesakh. 5 And they kept the Pesakh in the first khodesh, on the fourteenth day of the khodesh, at dusk, in the wilderness of Sinai; according to all that יהוה commanded Moshe, so did B'nei Yisra'el. 6 But there were certain men, who were unclean by the dead body of a man, so that they could not keep the Pesakh on that day; and they came before Moshe and before Aharon on that day. 7 And those men said unto him, "We are unclean by the dead body of a man; therefore are we to be kept back, so as not to bring the offering of יהוה in its appointed season among B'nei Yisra'el?" 8 And Moshe said unto them, "Stay you, that I may hear what יהוה will command concerning you."
9 And יהוה spoke unto Moshe, saying, 10 "Speak unto B'nei Yisra'el, saying, 'If any man of you or of your generations shall be unclean by reason of a dead body, or be in a journey afar off, yet he shall keep the Pesakh unto יהוה ; in 11 the second khodesh on the fourteenth day, at dusk, they shall keep it; they shall eat it with Matzot and bitter herbs; 12 they shall leave none of it unto the morning, nor break a bone thereof; according to all the statute of the Pesakh they shall keep it. 13 But the man that is clean, and is not on a journey, and forbears to keep the Pesakh, that soul shall be cut off from his people; because he brought not the offering of יהוה in its appointed season, that man shall bear his sin. 14 And if a stranger shall sojourn among you, and will keep the Pesakh unto יהוה , according to the statute of the Pesakh, and according to the ordinance thereof, so shall he do; you shall have one statute, both for the stranger, and for him that is born in the land." 15 And on the day that the Mishkan was reared up the cloud covered the Mishkan, even the Ohel HaEdut; and at evening there was upon the Mishkan as it were the appearance of fire, until morning. 16 So it was always: the cloud covered it, and the appearance of fire by night. 17 And whenever the cloud was taken up from over the Ohel, then after that B'nei Yisra'el journeyed; and in the place where the cloud abode, there B'nei Yisra'el encamped. 18 By the direction of יהוה B'nei Yisra'el journeyed, and by the direction of יהוה they encamped: as long as the cloud abode upon the Mishkan they remained encamped. 19 And when the cloud tarried upon the Mishkan many days, then B'nei Yisra'el kept the charge of יהוה , and journeyed not. 20 And sometimes the cloud was a few days upon the Mishkan; according to the direction of יהוה they remained encamped, and according to the direction of יהוה they journeyed. 21 And sometimes the cloud was from evening until morning; and when the cloud was taken up in the morning, they journeyed; or if it continued by day and by night, when the cloud was taken up, they journeyed. 22 Whether it was two days, or a khodesh, or a year that the cloud tarried upon the Mishkan, abiding thereon, B'nei Yisra'el remained encamped, and journeyed not; but when it was taken up, they journeyed. 23 By the direction of יהוה they encamped, and by the direction of יהוה they journeyed; they kept the charge of יהוה , according to the direction of יהוה by the hand of Moshe. | במדבר פרק ט
אא וַיְדַבֵּר יהוה אֶל מֹשֶׁה בְמִדְבַּר סִינַי בַּשָּׁנָה הַשֵּׁנִית לְצֵאתָם מֵאֶרֶץ מִצְרַיִם בַּחֹדֶשׁ הָרִאשׁוֹן לֵאמֹר.
ב וְיַעֲשׂוּ בְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל אֶת הַפָּסַח בְּמוֹעֲדוֹ.
ג בְּאַרְבָּעָה עָשָׂר יוֹם בַּחֹדֶשׁ הַזֶּה בֵּין הָעַרְבַּיִם תַּעֲשׂוּ אֹתוֹ בְּמֹעֲדוֹ כְּכָל חֻקֹּתָיו וּכְכָל מִשְׁפָּטָיו תַּעֲשׂוּ אֹתוֹ.
ד וַיְדַבֵּר מֹשֶׁה אֶל בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל לַעֲשֹׂת הַפָּסַח.
ה וַיַּעֲשׂוּ אֶת הַפֶּסַח בָּרִאשׁוֹן בְּאַרְבָּעָה עָשָׂר יוֹם לַחֹדֶשׁ בֵּין הָעַרְבַּיִם בְּמִדְבַּר סִינָי כְּכֹל אֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יהוה אֶת מֹשֶׁה כֵּן עָשׂוּ בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל.
ו וַיְהִי אֲנָשִׁים אֲשֶׁר הָיוּ טְמֵאִים לְנֶפֶשׁ אָדָם וְלֹא יָכְלוּ לַעֲשֹׂת הַפֶּסַח בַּיּוֹם הַהוּא וַיִּקְרְבוּ לִפְנֵי מֹשֶׁה וְלִפְנֵי אַהֲרֹן בַּיּוֹם הַהוּא.
ז וַיֹּאמְרוּ הָאֲנָשִׁים הָהֵמָּה אֵלָיו אֲנַחְנוּ טְמֵאִים לְנֶפֶשׁ אָדָם לָמָּה נִגָּרַע לְבִלְתִּי הַקְרִיב אֶת קָרְבַּן יהוה בְּמֹעֲדוֹ בְּתוֹךְ בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל.
ח וַיֹּאמֶר אֲלֵהֶם מֹשֶׁה עִמְדוּ וְאֶשְׁמְעָה מַה יְצַוֶּה יהוה לָכֶם.
ט וַיְדַבֵּר יהוה אֶל מֹשֶׁה לֵּאמֹר.
י דַּבֵּר אֶל בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל לֵאמֹר אִישׁ אִישׁ כִּי יִהְיֶה טָמֵא לָנֶפֶשׁ אוֹ בְדֶרֶךְ רְחֹקָה לָכֶם אוֹ לְדֹרֹתֵיכֶם וְעָשָׂה פֶסַח לַיהוה .
יא בַּחֹדֶשׁ הַשֵּׁנִי בְּאַרְבָּעָה עָשָׂר יוֹם בֵּין הָעַרְבַּיִם יַעֲשׂוּ אֹתוֹ עַל מַצּוֹת וּמְרֹרִים יֹאכְלֻהוּ.
יב לֹא יַשְׁאִירוּ מִמֶּנּוּ עַד בֹּקֶר וְעֶצֶם לֹא יִשְׁבְּרוּ בוֹ כְּכָל חֻקַּת הַפֶּסַח יַעֲשׂוּ אֹתוֹ.
יג וְהָאִישׁ אֲשֶׁר הוּא טָהוֹר וּבְדֶרֶךְ לֹא הָיָה וְחָדַל לַעֲשׂוֹת הַפֶּסַח וְנִכְרְתָה הַנֶּפֶשׁ הַהִוא מֵעַמֶּיהָ כִּי קָרְבַּן יהוה לֹא הִקְרִיב בְּמֹעֲדוֹ חֶטְאוֹ יִשָּׂא הָאִישׁ הַהוּא.
יד וְכִי יָגוּר אִתְּכֶם גֵּר וְעָשָׂה פֶסַח לַיהוה כְּחֻקַּת הַפֶּסַח וּכְמִשְׁפָּטוֹ כֵּן יַעֲשֶׂה חֻקָּה אַחַת יִהְיֶה לָכֶם וְלַגֵּר וּלְאֶזְרַח הָאָרֶץ.
טו וּבְיוֹם הָקִים אֶת הַמִּשְׁכָּן כִּסָּה הֶעָנָן אֶת הַמִּשְׁכָּן לְאֹהֶל הָעֵדֻת וּבָעֶרֶב יִהְיֶה עַל הַמִּשְׁכָּן כְּמַרְאֵה אֵשׁ עַד בֹּקֶר.
טז כֵּן יִהְיֶה תָמִיד הֶעָנָן יְכַסֶּנּוּ וּמַרְאֵה אֵשׁ לָיְלָה.
יז וּלְפִי הֵעָלוֹת הֶעָנָן מֵעַל הָאֹהֶל וְאַחֲרֵי כֵן יִסְעוּ בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וּבִמְקוֹם אֲשֶׁר יִשְׁכָּן שָׁם הֶעָנָן שָׁם יַחֲנוּ בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל.
יח עַל פִּי יהוה יִסְעוּ בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְעַל פִּי יהוה יַחֲנוּ כָּל יְמֵי אֲשֶׁר יִשְׁכֹּן הֶעָנָן עַל הַמִּשְׁכָּן יַחֲנוּ.
יט וּבְהַאֲרִיךְ הֶעָנָן עַל הַמִּשְׁכָּן יָמִים רַבִּים וְשָׁמְרוּ בְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל אֶת מִשְׁמֶרֶת יהוה וְלֹא יִסָּעוּ.
כ וְיֵשׁ אֲשֶׁר יִהְיֶה הֶעָנָן יָמִים מִסְפָּר עַל הַמִּשְׁכָּן עַל פִּי יהוה יַחֲנוּ וְעַל פִּי יהוה יִסָּעוּ.
כא וְיֵשׁ אֲשֶׁר יִהְיֶה הֶעָנָן מֵעֶרֶב עַד בֹּקֶר וְנַעֲלָה הֶעָנָן בַּבֹּקֶר וְנָסָעוּ אוֹ יוֹמָם וָלַיְלָה וְנַעֲלָה הֶעָנָן וְנָסָעוּ.
כב אוֹ יֹמַיִם אוֹ חֹדֶשׁ אוֹ יָמִים בְּהַאֲרִיךְ הֶעָנָן עַל הַמִּשְׁכָּן לִשְׁכֹּן עָלָיו יַחֲנוּ בְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְלֹא יִסָּעוּ וּבְהֵעָלֹתוֹ יִסָּעוּ.
כג עַל פִּי יהוה יַחֲנוּ וְעַל פִּי יהוה יִסָּעוּ אֶת מִשְׁמֶרֶת יהוה שָׁמָרוּ עַל פִּי יהוה בְּיַד מֹשֶׁה.

BaMidbar Chapter 10
1 And יהוה spoke unto Moshe, saying, 2 "Make yourself two trumpets of silver; of beaten work shall you make them; and they shall be unto you for the calling of the assembly, and for causing the camps to set forward. 3 And when they shall blow with them, all the assembly shall gather themselves unto you at the door of the Ohel Mo'ed. 4 And if they blow but with one, then the princes, the heads of the thousands of Yisra'el, shall gather themselves unto you. 5 And when you blow a Teru'ah, the camps that lie on the east side shall take their journey. 6 And when you blow a Teru'ah the second time, the camps that lie on the south side shall set forward; they shall blow Teru'ah for their journeys. 7 But when the congregation is to be gathered together, you shall blow, but you shall not sound Teru'ah. 8 And the sons of Aharon, the kohenim, shall blow with the trumpets; and they shall be to you for a statute forever throughout your generations. 9 And when you go to war in your land against the adversary that oppresses you, then you shall sound a Teru'ah with the trumpets; and you shall be remembered before יהוה your Elohim, and you shall be saved from your enemies. 10 Also in the day of your gladness, and in your Mo'edim, and in your khadashim, you shall blow with the trumpets over your Olot, and over the sacrifices of your Sh'lamim; and they shall be to you for a memorial before your Elohim: I am יהוה your Elohim."
11 And it came to pass in the second year, in the second khodesh, on the twentieth day of the khodesh, that the cloud was taken up from over the Mishkan of the testimony. 12 And B'nei Yisra'el set forward by their stages out of the wilderness of Sinai; and the cloud abode in the wilderness of Paran.
13 And they took their first journey, according to the direction of יהוה by the hand of Moshe. 14 And in the first place the standard of the camp of the children of Yehudah set forward according to their hosts; and over his host was Nakhshon Ben Aminadav. 15 And over the host of the tribe of the children of Issakhar was Netan'el Ben Tzu'ar. 16 And over the host of the tribe of the children of Zevulun was Eli’av Ben Khelon. 17 And the Mishkan was taken down; and the sons of Gershon and the sons of Merari, who bore the Mishkan, set forward. 18 And the standard of the camp of Re'uven set forward according to their hosts; and over his host was Eli-Tzur Ben Shede'ur. 19 And over the host of the tribe of the children of Shimon was Shelumi'el Ben Tzuri-Shadai. 20 And over the host of the tribe of the children of Gad was Eli-Asaf Ben De’u-El. 21 And the Kehatim, the bearers of the Mikdash, set forward, that the Mishkan might be set up against their coming. 22 And the standard of the camp of the children of Efrayim set forward according to their hosts; and over his host was Eli-Shama Ben Amihud. 23 And over the host of the tribe of the children of Menasheh was Gamli’el Ben Pedah-Tzur. 24 And over the host of the tribe of the children of Binyamin was Avi-Dan Ben Gidoni. 25 And the standard of the camp of the children of Dan, which was the rearward of all the camps, set forward according to their hosts; and over his host was Akhi-Ezer Ben Ami-Shadai. 26 And over the host of the tribe of the children of Asher was Pagi’el Ben Okhran. 27 And over the host of the tribe of the children of Naftali was Akhi-Ra Ben Enan. 28 Thus were the journeyings of B'nei Yisra'el according to their hosts. And they set forward.
29 And Moshe said unto Khovav Ben Re'u'El the Midyani, Moshe's father-in-law, "We are journeying unto the place of which יהוה said, 'I will give it to you;' come with us, and we will do you good; for יהוה has spoken good concerning Yisra'el." 30 And he said unto him, "I will not go; but I will depart to my own land, and to my kindred." 31 And he said, "Leave us not, I pray; forasmuch as you know how we are to encamp in the wilderness, and you shall be to us instead of eyes. 32 And it shall be, if you go with us, yes, it shall be, that whatever good יהוה shall do unto us, the same will we do unto you." 33 And they set forward from Har יהוה three days' journey; and the Aron HaBrit יהוה went before them three days' journey, to seek out a resting-place for them. 34 And the cloud of יהוה was over them by day, when they set forward from the camp.
35 *And it came to pass, when the Aron set forward, that Moshe would say, "Arise, O יהוה , and let Your enemies be scattered; and let those who hate you flee from before you." 36 And when it rested, he said, "Return, O יהוה , unto the myriads of Yisra'el."*
| במדבר פרק י
א וַיְדַבֵּר יהוה אֶל מֹשֶׁה לֵּאמֹר.
ב עֲשֵׂה לְךָ שְׁתֵּי חֲצוֹצְרֹת כֶּסֶף מִקְשָׁה תַּעֲשֶׂה אֹתָם וְהָיוּ לְךָ לְמִקְרָא הָעֵדָה וּלְמַסַּע אֶת הַמַּחֲנוֹת.
ג וְתָקְעוּ בָּהֵן וְנוֹעֲדוּ אֵלֶיךָ כָּל הָעֵדָה אֶל פֶּתַח אֹהֶל מוֹעֵד.
ד וְאִם בְּאַחַת יִתְקָעוּ וְנוֹעֲדוּ אֵלֶיךָ הַנְּשִׂיאִים רָאשֵׁי אַלְפֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל.
ה וּתְקַעְתֶּם תְּרוּעָה וְנָסְעוּ הַמַּחֲנוֹת הַחֹנִים קֵדְמָה.
ו וּתְקַעְתֶּם תְּרוּעָה שֵׁנִית וְנָסְעוּ הַמַּחֲנוֹת הַחֹנִים תֵּימָנָה תְּרוּעָה יִתְקְעוּ לְמַסְעֵיהֶם.
ז וּבְהַקְהִיל אֶת הַקָּהָל תִּתְקְעוּ וְלֹא תָרִיעוּ.
ח וּבְנֵי אַהֲרֹן הַכֹּהֲנִים יִתְקְעוּ בַּחֲצֹצְרוֹת וְהָיוּ לָכֶם לְחֻקַּת עוֹלָם לְדֹרֹתֵיכֶם.
ט וְכִי תָבֹאוּ מִלְחָמָה בְּאַרְצְכֶם עַל הַצַּר הַצֹּרֵר אֶתְכֶם וַהֲרֵעֹתֶם בַּחֲצֹצְרֹת וְנִזְכַּרְתֶּם לִפְנֵי יהוה אֱלֹהֵיכֶם וְנוֹשַׁעְתֶּם מֵאֹיְבֵיכֶם.
י וּבְיוֹם שִׂמְחַתְכֶם וּבְמוֹעֲדֵיכֶם וּבְרָאשֵׁי חָדְשֵׁיכֶם וּתְקַעְתֶּם בַּחֲצֹצְרֹת עַל עֹלֹתֵיכֶם וְעַל זִבְחֵי שַׁלְמֵיכֶם וְהָיוּ לָכֶם לְזִכָּרוֹן לִפְנֵי אֱלֹהֵיכֶם אֲנִי יהוה אֱלֹהֵיכֶם.
יא וַיְהִי בַּשָּׁנָה הַשֵּׁנִית בַּחֹדֶשׁ הַשֵּׁנִי בְּעֶשְׂרִים בַּחֹדֶשׁ נַעֲלָה הֶעָנָן מֵעַל מִשְׁכַּן הָעֵדֻת.
יב וַיִּסְעוּ בְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל לְמַסְעֵיהֶם מִמִּדְבַּר סִינָי וַיִּשְׁכֹּן הֶעָנָן בְּמִדְבַּר פָּארָן.
יג וַיִּסְעוּ בָּרִאשֹׁנָה עַל פִּי יהוה בְּיַד מֹשֶׁה.
יד וַיִּסַּע דֶּגֶל מַחֲנֵה בְנֵי יְהוּדָה בָּרִאשֹׁנָה לְצִבְאֹתָם וְעַל צְבָאוֹ נַחְשׁוֹן בֶּן עַמִּינָדָב.
טו וְעַל צְבָא מַטֵּה בְּנֵי יִשָּׂשכָר נְתַנְאֵל בֶּן צוּעָר.
טז וְעַל צְבָא מַטֵּה בְּנֵי זְבוּלֻן אֱלִיאָב בֶּן חֵלֹן.
יז וְהוּרַד הַמִּשְׁכָּן וְנָסְעוּ בְנֵי גֵרְשׁוֹן וּבְנֵי מְרָרִי נֹשְׂאֵי הַמִּשְׁכָּן.
יח וְנָסַע דֶּגֶל מַחֲנֵה רְאוּבֵן לְצִבְאֹתָם וְעַל צְבָאוֹ אֱלִיצוּר בֶּן שְׁדֵיאוּר.
יט וְעַל צְבָא מַטֵּה בְּנֵי שִׁמְעוֹן שְׁלֻמִיאֵל בֶּן צוּרִישַׁדָּי.
כ וְעַל צְבָא מַטֵּה בְנֵי גָד אֶלְיָסָף בֶּן דְּעוּאֵל.
כא וְנָסְעוּ הַקְּהָתִים נֹשְׂאֵי הַמִּקְדָּשׁ וְהֵקִימוּ אֶת הַמִּשְׁכָּן עַד בֹּאָם.
כב וְנָסַע דֶּגֶל מַחֲנֵה בְנֵי אֶפְרַיִם לְצִבְאֹתָם וְעַל צְבָאוֹ אֱלִישָׁמָע בֶּן עַמִּיהוּד.
כג וְעַל צְבָא מַטֵּה בְּנֵי מְנַשֶּׁה גַּמְלִיאֵל בֶּן פְּדָהצוּר.
כד וְעַל צְבָא מַטֵּה בְּנֵי בִנְיָמִן אֲבִידָן בֶּן גִּדְעוֹנִי.
כה וְנָסַע דֶּגֶל מַחֲנֵה בְנֵי דָן מְאַסֵּף לְכָל הַמַּחֲנֹת לְצִבְאֹתָם וְעַל צְבָאוֹ אֲחִיעֶזֶר בֶּן עַמִּישַׁדָּי.
כו וְעַל צְבָא מַטֵּה בְּנֵי אָשֵׁר פַּגְעִיאֵל בֶּן עָכְרָן.
כז וְעַל צְבָא מַטֵּה בְּנֵי נַפְתָּלִי אֲחִירַע בֶּן עֵינָן.
כח אֵלֶּה מַסְעֵי בְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל לְצִבְאֹתָם וַיִּסָּעוּ.
כט וַיֹּאמֶר מֹשֶׁה לְחֹבָב בֶּן רְעוּאֵל הַמִּדְיָנִי חֹתֵן מֹשֶׁה נֹסְעִים אֲנַחְנוּ אֶל הַמָּקוֹם אֲשֶׁר אָמַר יהוה אֹתוֹ אֶתֵּן לָכֶם לְכָה אִתָּנוּ וְהֵטַבְנוּ לָךְ כִּי יהוה דִּבֶּר טוֹב עַל יִשְׂרָאֵל.
ל וַיֹּאמֶר אֵלָיו לֹא אֵלֵךְ כִּי אִם אֶל אַרְצִי וְאֶל מוֹלַדְתִּי אֵלֵךְ.
לא וַיֹּאמֶר אַל נָא תַּעֲזֹב אֹתָנוּ כִּי עַל כֵּן יָדַעְתָּ חֲנֹתֵנוּ בַּמִּדְבָּר וְהָיִיתָ לָּנוּ לְעֵינָיִם.
לב וְהָיָה כִּי תֵלֵךְ עִמָּנוּ וְהָיָה הַטּוֹב הַהוּא אֲשֶׁר יֵיטִיב יהוה עִמָּנוּ וְהֵטַבְנוּ לָךְ.
לג וַיִּסְעוּ מֵהַר יהוה דֶּרֶךְ שְׁלֹשֶׁת יָמִים וַאֲרוֹן בְּרִית יהוה נֹסֵעַ לִפְנֵיהֶם דֶּרֶךְ שְׁלֹשֶׁת יָמִים לָתוּר לָהֶם מְנוּחָה.
לד וַעֲנַן יהוה עֲלֵיהֶם יוֹמָם בְּנָסְעָם מִן הַמַּחֲנֶה.
לה *וַיְהִי בִּנְסֹעַ הָאָרֹן וַיֹּאמֶר מֹשֶׁה קוּמָה יהוה וְיָפֻצוּ אֹיְבֶיךָ וְיָנֻסוּ מְשַׂנְאֶיךָ מִפָּנֶיךָ.
לו וּבְנֻחֹה יֹאמַר שׁוּבָה יהוה רִבְבוֹת אַלְפֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל.

BaMidbar Chapter 11
1 And the people were as murmurers, speaking evil in the ears of יהוה ; and when יהוה heard it, His anger was kindled; and the fire of יהוה burnt among them, and devoured in the uttermost part of the camp. 2 And the people cried unto Moshe; and Moshe prayed unto יהוה , and the fire abated. 3 And the name of that place was called Taverah, because the fire of יהוה burnt among them.
4 And the mixed multitude that was among them fell into lusting; and B'nei Yisra'el also wept on their part, and said, "Would that we were given flesh to eat! 5 We remember the fish, which we were wont to eat in Mitzrayim for nothing; the cucumbers, and the melons, and the leeks, and the onions, and the garlic; 6 but now our soul is dried away; there is nothing at all; we have nothing but this manna to look to."
7 Now the manna was like coriander seed, and the appearance thereof as the appearance of b'dellium. 8 The people went about, and gathered it, and ground it in mills, or beat it in mortars, and seethed it in pots, and made cakes of it; and the taste of it was as the taste of a cake baked with oil. 9 And when the dew fell upon the camp in the night, manna fell upon it.
10 And Moshe heard the people weeping, family by family, every man at the door of his tent; and the anger of יהוה was kindled greatly; and Moshe was displeased. 11 And Moshe said unto יהוה , "Why have you dealt ill with Your servant? And why have I not found favor in Your sight, that you lay the burden of all this people upon me? 12 Have I conceived all this people? Have I brought them forth, that you should say unto me, 'Carry them in your bosom, as a nursing-father carries the sucking child, unto the land which you swore unto their fathers? 13 How should I have meat to give unto all this people? For they trouble me with their weeping, saying, 'Give us meat, that we may eat.' 14 I am not able to bear all this people myself alone, because it is too heavy for me. 15 And if you deal thus with me, kill me, I pray, out of hand, if I have found favor in Your sight; and let me not look upon my wretchedness."
16 And יהוה said unto Moshe, "Gather unto Me seventy men of the elders of Yisra'el, whom you know to be the elders of the people, and officers over them; and bring them unto the Ohel Mo'ed, that they may stand there with you. 17 And I will come down and speak with you there; and I will take of the Ru'akh which is upon you, and will put it upon them; and they shall bear the burden of the people with you, that you bear it not yourself alone. 18 And say unto the people 'Consecrate yourselves against tomorrow, and you shall eat meat; for you have wept in the ears of יהוה , saying, 'Would that we were given flesh to eat! For it was well with us in Mitzrayim;' therefore יהוה will give you flesh, and you shall eat. 19 You shall not eat one day, nor two days, nor five days, neither ten days, nor twenty days; 20 but a whole khodesh, until it comes out at your nostrils, and it becomes loathsome unto you; because that you have rejected יהוה who is among you, and have troubled Him with weeping, saying, 'Why, now, did we come forth out of Mitzrayim?'" 21 And Moshe said, "The people, among whom I am, are six hundred thousand men on foot; and yet you have said, 'I will give them meat, that they may eat a whole khodesh!' 22 If flocks and herds are slain for them, will they suffice them? Or if all the fish of the sea are gathered together for them, will they suffice them?"
23 And יהוה said unto Moshe, "Is the hand of יהוה waxed short? Now shall you see whether My word shall come to pass unto you or not." 24 And Moshe went out, and told the people the words of יהוה ; and he gathered seventy men of the elders of the people, and set them round about the Ohel. 25 And יהוה came down in the cloud, and spoke unto him, and took of the Ru'akh that was upon him, and put it upon the seventy elders; and it came to pass, that, when the Ru'akh rested upon them, they prophesied, but they did so no more. 26 But there remained two men in the camp, the name of the one was Eldad, and the name of the other Meidad; and the Ru'akh rested upon them; and they were of them that were recorded, but had not gone out unto the Ohel; and they prophesied in the camp. 27 And there ran a young man and told Moshe, and said, "Eldad and Meidad are prophesying in the camp." 28 And Yehoshua Bin Nun, the minister of Moshe from his youth up, answered and said, "My Adon Moshe, shut them in." 29 And Moshe said unto him, "Are you jealous for my sake? Would that all of the people of יהוה were nevi'im, that יהוה would put His Ru'akh upon them!" 30 And Moshe withdrew into the camp, he and the elders of Yisra'el.
31 And there went forth a wind from יהוה , and brought across quails from the sea, and let them fall by the camp, about a day's journey on this side, and a day's journey on the other side, round about the camp, and about two cubits above the face of the earth. 32 And the people rose up all that day, and all the night, and all the next day, and gathered the quails; he that gathered least gathered ten heaps; and they spread them all abroad for themselves round about the camp. 33 While the flesh was yet between their teeth, before it was chewed, the anger of יהוה was kindled against the people, and יהוה smote the people with a very great plague. 34 And the name of that place was called Kivrot HaTa'avah, because there they buried the people that lusted. 35 From Kivrot HaTa'avah the people journeyed unto Khatzerot; and they abode at Khatzerot.

א וַיְהִי הָעָם כְּמִתְאֹנְנִים רַע בְּאָזְנֵי יהוה וַיִּשְׁמַע יהוה וַיִּחַר אַפּוֹ וַתִּבְעַר בָּם אֵשׁ יהוה וַתֹּאכַל בִּקְצֵה הַמַּחֲנֶה.
ב וַיִּצְעַק הָעָם אֶל מֹשֶׁה וַיִּתְפַּלֵּל מֹשֶׁה אֶל יהוה וַתִּשְׁקַע הָאֵשׁ.
ג וַיִּקְרָא שֵׁם הַמָּקוֹם הַהוּא תַּבְעֵרָה כִּי בָעֲרָה בָם אֵשׁ יהוה .
ד וְהָאסַפְסֻף אֲשֶׁר בְּקִרְבּוֹ הִתְאַוּוּ תַּאֲוָה וַיָּשֻׁבוּ וַיִּבְכּוּ גַּם בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וַיֹּאמְרוּ מִי יַאֲכִלֵנוּ בָּשָׂר.
ה זָכַרְנוּ אֶת הַדָּגָה אֲשֶׁר נֹאכַל בְּמִצְרַיִם חִנָּם אֵת הַקִּשֻּׁאִים וְאֵת הָאֲבַטִּחִים וְאֶת הֶחָצִיר וְאֶת הַבְּצָלִים וְאֶת הַשּׁוּמִים.
ו וְעַתָּה נַפְשֵׁנוּ יְבֵשָׁה אֵין כֹּל בִּלְתִּי אֶל הַמָּן עֵינֵינוּ.
ז וְהַמָּן כִּזְרַע גַּד הוּא וְעֵינוֹ כְּעֵין הַבְּדֹלַח.
ח שָׁטוּ הָעָם וְלָקְטוּ וְטָחֲנוּ בָרֵחַיִם אוֹ דָכוּ בַּמְּדֹכָה וּבִשְּׁלוּ בַּפָּרוּר וְעָשׂוּ אֹתוֹ עֻגוֹת וְהָיָה טַעְמוֹ כְּטַעַם לְשַׁד הַשָּׁמֶן.
ט וּבְרֶדֶת הַטַּל עַל הַמַּחֲנֶה לָיְלָה יֵרֵד הַמָּן עָלָיו.
י וַיִּשְׁמַע מֹשֶׁה אֶת הָעָם בֹּכֶה לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָיו אִישׁ לְפֶתַח אָהֳלוֹ וַיִּחַר אַף יהוה מְאֹד וּבְעֵינֵי מֹשֶׁה רָע.
יא וַיֹּאמֶר מֹשֶׁה אֶל יהוה לָמָה הֲרֵעֹתָ לְעַבְדֶּךָ וְלָמָּה לֹא מָצָתִי חֵן בְּעֵינֶיךָ לָשׂוּם אֶת מַשָּׂא כָּל הָעָם הַזֶּה עָלָי.
יב הֶאָנֹכִי הָרִיתִי אֵת כָּל הָעָם הַזֶּה אִם אָנֹכִי יְלִדְתִּיהוּ כִּי תֹאמַר אֵלַי שָׂאֵהוּ בְחֵיקֶךָ כַּאֲשֶׁר יִשָּׂא הָאֹמֵן אֶת הַיֹּנֵק עַל הָאֲדָמָה אֲשֶׁר נִשְׁבַּעְתָּ לַאֲבֹתָיו.
יג מֵאַיִן לִי בָּשָׂר לָתֵת לְכָל הָעָם הַזֶּה כִּי יִבְכּוּ עָלַי לֵאמֹר תְּנָה לָּנוּ בָשָׂר וְנֹאכֵלָה.
יד לֹא אוּכַל אָנֹכִי לְבַדִּי לָשֵׂאת אֶת כָּל הָעָם הַזֶּה כִּי כָבֵד מִמֶּנִּי.
טו וְאִם כָּכָה אַתְּ עֹשֶׂה לִּי הָרְגֵנִי נָא הָרֹג אִם מָצָאתִי חֵן בְּעֵינֶיךָ וְאַל אֶרְאֶה בְּרָעָתִי.
טז וַיֹּאמֶר יהוה אֶל מֹשֶׁה אֶסְפָה לִּי שִׁבְעִים אִישׁ מִזִּקְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל אֲשֶׁר יָדַעְתָּ כִּי הֵם זִקְנֵי הָעָם וְשֹׁטְרָיו וְלָקַחְתָּ אֹתָם אֶל אֹהֶל מוֹעֵד וְהִתְיַצְּבוּ שָׁם עִמָּךְ.
יז וְיָרַדְתִּי וְדִבַּרְתִּי עִמְּךָ שָׁם וְאָצַלְתִּי מִן הָרוּחַ אֲשֶׁר עָלֶיךָ וְשַׂמְתִּי עֲלֵיהֶם וְנָשְׂאוּ אִתְּךָ בְּמַשָּׂא הָעָם וְלֹא תִשָּׂא אַתָּה לְבַדֶּךָ.
יח וְאֶל הָעָם תֹּאמַר הִתְקַדְּשׁוּ לְמָחָר וַאֲכַלְתֶּם בָּשָׂר כִּי בְּכִיתֶם בְּאָזְנֵי יהוה לֵאמֹר מִי יַאֲכִלֵנוּ בָּשָׂר כִּי טוֹב לָנוּ בְּמִצְרָיִם וְנָתַן יהוה לָכֶם בָּשָׂר וַאֲכַלְתֶּם.
יט לֹא יוֹם אֶחָד תֹּאכְלוּן וְלֹא יוֹמָיִם וְלֹא חֲמִשָּׁה יָמִים וְלֹא עֲשָׂרָה יָמִים וְלֹא עֶשְׂרִים יוֹם.
כ עַד חֹדֶשׁ יָמִים עַד אֲשֶׁר יֵצֵא מֵאַפְּכֶם וְהָיָה לָכֶם לְזָרָא יַעַן כִּי מְאַסְתֶּם אֶת יהוה אֲשֶׁר בְּקִרְבְּכֶם וַתִּבְכּוּ לְפָנָיו לֵאמֹר לָמָּה זֶּה יָצָאנוּ מִמִּצְרָיִם.
כא וַיֹּאמֶר מֹשֶׁה שֵׁשׁ מֵאוֹת אֶלֶף רַגְלִי הָעָם אֲשֶׁר אָנֹכִי בְּקִרְבּוֹ וְאַתָּה אָמַרְתָּ בָּשָׂר אֶתֵּן לָהֶם וְאָכְלוּ חֹדֶשׁ יָמִים.
כב הֲצֹאן וּבָקָר יִשָּׁחֵט לָהֶם וּמָצָא לָהֶם אִם אֶת כָּל דְּגֵי הַיָּם יֵאָסֵף לָהֶם וּמָצָא לָהֶם.
כג וַיֹּאמֶר יהוה אֶל מֹשֶׁה הֲיַד יהוה תִּקְצָר עַתָּה תִרְאֶה הֲיִקְרְךָ דְבָרִי אִם לֹא.
כד וַיֵּצֵא מֹשֶׁה וַיְדַבֵּר אֶל הָעָם אֵת דִּבְרֵי יהוה וַיֶּאֱסֹף שִׁבְעִים אִישׁ מִזִּקְנֵי הָעָם וַיַּעֲמֵד אֹתָם סְבִיבֹת הָאֹהֶל.
כה וַיֵּרֶד יהוה בֶּעָנָן וַיְדַבֵּר אֵלָיו וַיָּאצֶל מִן הָרוּחַ אֲשֶׁר עָלָיו וַיִּתֵּן עַל שִׁבְעִים אִישׁ הַזְּקֵנִים וַיְהִי כְּנוֹחַ עֲלֵיהֶם הָרוּחַ וַיִּתְנַבְּאוּ וְלֹא יָסָפוּ.
כו וַיִּשָּׁאֲרוּ שְׁנֵי אֲנָשִׁים בַּמַּחֲנֶה שֵׁם הָאֶחָד אֶלְדָּד וְשֵׁם הַשֵּׁנִי מֵידָד וַתָּנַח עֲלֵהֶם הָרוּחַ וְהֵמָּה בַּכְּתֻבִים וְלֹא יָצְאוּ הָאֹהֱלָה וַיִּתְנַבְּאוּ בַּמַּחֲנֶה.
כז וַיָּרָץ הַנַּעַר וַיַּגֵּד לְמֹשֶׁה וַיֹּאמַר אֶלְדָּד וּמֵידָד מִתְנַבְּאִים בַּמַּחֲנֶה.
כח וַיַּעַן יְהוֹשֻׁעַ בִּן נוּן מְשָׁרֵת מֹשֶׁה מִבְּחֻרָיו וַיֹּאמַר אֲדֹנִי מֹשֶׁה כְּלָאֵם.
כט וַיֹּאמֶר לוֹ מֹשֶׁה הַמְקַנֵּא אַתָּה לִי וּמִי יִתֵּן כָּל עַם יהוה נְבִיאִים כִּי יִתֵּן יהוה אֶת רוּחוֹ עֲלֵיהֶם.
ל וַיֵּאָסֵף מֹשֶׁה אֶל הַמַּחֲנֶה הוּא וְזִקְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל.
לא וְרוּחַ נָסַע מֵאֵת יהוה וַיָּגָז שַׂלְוִים מִן הַיָּם וַיִּטֹּשׁ עַל הַמַּחֲנֶה כְּדֶרֶךְ יוֹם כֹּה וּכְדֶרֶךְ יוֹם כֹּה סְבִיבוֹת הַמַּחֲנֶה וּכְאַמָּתַיִם עַל פְּנֵי הָאָרֶץ.
לב וַיָּקָם הָעָם כָּל הַיּוֹם הַהוּא וְכָל הַלַּיְלָה וְכֹל יוֹם הַמָּחֳרָת וַיַּאַסְפוּ אֶת הַשְּׂלָו הַמַּמְעִיט אָסַף עֲשָׂרָה חֳמָרִים וַיִּשְׁטְחוּ לָהֶם שָׁטוֹחַ סְבִיבוֹת הַמַּחֲנֶה.
לג הַבָּשָׂר עוֹדֶנּוּ בֵּין שִׁנֵּיהֶם טֶרֶם יִכָּרֵת וְאַף יהוה חָרָה בָעָם וַיַּךְ יהוה בָּעָם מַכָּה רַבָּה מְאֹד.
לד וַיִּקְרָא אֶת שֵׁם הַמָּקוֹם הַהוּא קִבְרוֹת הַתַּאֲוָה כִּי שָׁם קָבְרוּ אֶת הָעָם הַמִּתְאַוִּים.

BaMidbar Chapter 12
1 And Miryam and Aharon spoke against Moshe because of the Kushite woman whom he had married; for he had married a Kushite woman. 2 And they said, "Has יהוה indeed spoken only with Moshe? Has He not spoken also with us?" And יהוה heard it.
3 Now the man Moshe was very humble, above all the men that were upon the face of the earth.
4 And יהוה spoke suddenly unto Moshe, and unto Aharon, and unto Miryam, "Come out you three unto the Ohel Mo'ed." And they three came out. 5 And יהוה came down in a pillar of cloud, and stood at the door of the Ohel, and called Aharon and Miryam; and they both came forth. 6 And He said, "Hear now My words: if there is a navi among you, I יהוה do make Myself known unto him in a vision, I do speak with him in a dream. 7 My servant Moshe is not so; he is trusted in all My house; 8 with him do I speak face to face, by appearing, and not in dark speeches; and the image of יהוה does he behold; why, then, were you not afraid to speak against My servant, against Moshe?" 9 And the anger of יהוה was kindled against them; and He departed. 10 And when the cloud was removed from over the Ohel, behold, Miryam was leprous, as white as snow; and Aharon looked upon Miryam; and, behold, she was leprous. 11 And Aharon said unto Moshe, "Oh my master, lay not, I pray, sin upon us, for that we have done foolishly, and for that we have sinned. 12 Let her not, I pray, be as one dead, of whom the flesh is half consumed when he comes out of his mother's womb." 13 And Moshe cried unto יהוה , saying, "Heal her now, O El, I beseech you."
14 And יהוה said unto Moshe, "If her father had but spit in her face, should she not hide in shame seven days? Let her be shut up without the camp seven days, and after that she shall be brought in again." 15 And Miryam was shut up without the camp seven days; and the people journeyed not till Miryam was brought in again. 16 And afterward the people journeyed from Khatzerot, and pitched in the wilderness of Paran.

א וַתְּדַבֵּר מִרְיָם וְאַהֲרֹן בְּמֹשֶׁה עַל אֹדוֹת הָאִשָּׁה הַכֻּשִׁית אֲשֶׁר לָקָח כִּי אִשָּׁה כֻשִׁית לָקָח.
ב וַיֹּאמְרוּ הֲרַק אַךְ בְּמֹשֶׁה דִּבֶּר יהוה הֲלֹא גַּם בָּנוּ דִבֵּר וַיִּשְׁמַע יהוה .
ג וְהָאִישׁ מֹשֶׁה עָנָו מְאֹד מִכֹּל הָאָדָם אֲשֶׁר עַל פְּנֵי הָאֲדָמָה.
ד וַיֹּאמֶר יהוה פִּתְאֹם אֶל מֹשֶׁה וְאֶל אַהֲרֹן וְאֶל מִרְיָם צְאוּ שְׁלָשְׁתְּכֶם אֶל אֹהֶל מוֹעֵד וַיֵּצְאוּ שְׁלָשְׁתָּם.
ה וַיֵּרֶד יהוה בְּעַמּוּד עָנָן וַיַּעֲמֹד פֶּתַח הָאֹהֶל וַיִּקְרָא אַהֲרֹן וּמִרְיָם וַיֵּצְאוּ שְׁנֵיהֶם.
ו וַיֹּאמֶר שִׁמְעוּ נָא דְבָרָי אִם יִהְיֶה נְבִיאֲכֶם יהוה בַּמַּרְאָה אֵלָיו אֶתְוַדָּע בַּחֲלוֹם אֲדַבֶּר בּוֹ.
ז לֹא כֵן עַבְדִּי מֹשֶׁה בְּכָל בֵּיתִי נֶאֱמָן הוּא.
ח פֶּה אֶל פֶּה אֲדַבֶּר בּוֹ וּמַרְאֶה וְלֹא בְחִידֹת וּתְמֻנַת יהוה יַבִּיט וּמַדּוּעַ לֹא יְרֵאתֶם לְדַבֵּר בְּעַבְדִּי בְמֹשֶׁה.
ט וַיִּחַר אַף יהוה בָּם וַיֵּלַךְ.
י וְהֶעָנָן סָר מֵעַל הָאֹהֶל וְהִנֵּה מִרְיָם מְצֹרַעַת כַּשָּׁלֶג וַיִּפֶן אַהֲרֹן אֶל מִרְיָם וְהִנֵּה מְצֹרָעַת.
יא וַיֹּאמֶר אַהֲרֹן אֶל מֹשֶׁה בִּי אֲדֹנִי אַל נָא תָשֵׁת עָלֵינוּ חַטָּאת אֲשֶׁר נוֹאַלְנוּ וַאֲשֶׁר חָטָאנוּ.
יב אַל נָא תְהִי כַּמֵּת אֲשֶׁר בְּצֵאתוֹ מֵרֶחֶם אִמּוֹ וַיֵּאָכֵל חֲצִי בְשָׂרוֹ.
יג וַיִּצְעַק מֹשֶׁה אֶל יהוה לֵאמֹר אֵל נָא רְפָא נָא לָהּ.
יד וַיֹּאמֶר יהוה אֶל מֹשֶׁה וְאָבִיהָ יָרֹק יָרַק בְּפָנֶיהָ הֲלֹא תִכָּלֵם שִׁבְעַת יָמִים תִּסָּגֵר שִׁבְעַת יָמִים מִחוּץ לַמַּחֲנֶה וְאַחַר תֵּאָסֵף.
טו וַתִּסָּגֵר מִרְיָם מִחוּץ לַמַּחֲנֶה שִׁבְעַת יָמִים וְהָעָם לֹא נָסַע עַד הֵאָסֵף מִרְיָם.
טז וְאַחַר נָסְעוּ הָעָם מֵחֲצֵרוֹת וַיַּחֲנוּ בְּמִדְבַּר פָּארָן.

14 'Sing and rejoice, O Bat Tzion; for, lo, I come, and I will dwell in the midst of you, says יהוה . And 15 many nations shall join themselves to יהוה in that day, and shall be My people, and I will dwell in the midst of you'; and you shall know that יהוה Tzeva'ot has sent me unto you. 16 And יהוה shall inherit Yehudah as His portion in Admat HaKodesh, and shall choose Yerushalayim again. 17 Be silent, all flesh, before יהוה ; for He is aroused out of His consecrated habitation.

יד רָנִּי וְשִׂמְחִי בַּת צִיּוֹן כִּי הִנְנִי בָא וְשָׁכַנְתִּי בְתוֹכֵךְ נְאֻם יהוה .
טו וְנִלְווּ גוֹיִם רַבִּים אֶל יהוה בַּיּוֹם הַהוּא וְהָיוּ לִי לְעָם; וְשָׁכַנְתִּי בְתוֹכֵךְ וְיָדַעַתְּ כִּי יהוה צְבָאוֹת שְׁלָחַנִי אֵלָיִךְ.
טז וְנָחַל יהוה אֶת יְהוּדָה חֶלְקוֹ עַל אַדְמַת הַקֹּדֶשׁ; וּבָחַר עוֹד בִּירוּשָׁלִָם. יז הַס כָּל בָּשָׂר מִפְּנֵי יהוה כִּי נֵעוֹר מִמְּעוֹן קָדְשׁוֹ.

Zekhar-Yah Chapter 3
1 And he showed me Yehoshua The Kohen HaGadol standing before the Malakh יהוה , and HaSatan standing at his right hand to accuse him. 2 And יהוה said unto HaSatan, '' יהוה rebuke you, O HaSatan, yes, יהוה that has chosen Yerushalayim rebuke you; is not this man a brand plucked out of the fire?" 3 Now Yehoshua was clothed with filthy garments, and stood before the Malakh. 4 And he answered and spoke unto those that stood before him, saying, ''Take the filthy garments from off him." And unto him he said, "Behold, I cause your iniquity to pass from you, and I will clothe you with robes." 5 And I said, "Let them set a fair miter upon his head." So they set a fair miter upon his head, and clothed him with garments; and the Malakh יהוה stood by. 6 And the Malakh יהוה forewarned Yehoshua, saying, 7 "Thus says יהוה Tzeva'ot, 'If you will walk in My ways, and if you will keep My charge, and will also judge My house, and will also keep My courts, then I will give you free access among these that stand by. 8 Hear now, O Yehoshua The Kohen HaGadol, you and your fellows that sit before you; for they are men that are a sign; for, behold, I will bring forth My servant Tzemakh. 9 For behold the stone that I have laid before Yehoshua; upon one stone are seven facets; behold, I will engrave the engraving thereof, says יהוה Tzeva'ot, and I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day. 10 In that day, says יהוה Tzeva'ot, shall you call every man his neighbor under the vine and under the fig tree'."

א וַיַּרְאֵנִי אֶת יְהוֹשֻׁעַ הַכֹּהֵן הַגָּדוֹל עֹמֵד לִפְנֵי מַלְאַךְ יהוה ; וְהַשָּׂטָן עֹמֵד עַל יְמִינוֹ לְשִׂטְנוֹ.
ב וַיֹּאמֶר יהוה אֶל הַשָּׂטָן יִגְעַר יהוה בְּךָ הַשָּׂטָן וְיִגְעַר יהוה בְּךָ הַבֹּחֵר בִּירוּשָׁלִָם; הֲלוֹא זֶה אוּד מֻצָּל מֵאֵשׁ.
ג וִיהוֹשֻׁעַ הָיָה לָבֻשׁ בְּגָדִים צוֹאִים; וְעֹמֵד לִפְנֵי הַמַּלְאָךְ.
ד וַיַּעַן וַיֹּאמֶר אֶל הָעֹמְדִים לְפָנָיו לֵאמֹר הָסִירוּ הַבְּגָדִים הַצֹּאִים מֵעָלָיו; וַיֹּאמֶר אֵלָיו רְאֵה הֶעֱבַרְתִּי מֵעָלֶיךָ עֲוֹנֶךָ וְהַלְבֵּשׁ אֹתְךָ מַחֲלָצוֹת.
ה וָאֹמַר יָשִׂימוּ צָנִיף טָהוֹר עַל רֹאשׁוֹ; וַיָּשִׂימוּ הַצָּנִיף הַטָּהוֹר עַל רֹאשׁוֹ וַיַּלְבִּשֻׁהוּ בְּגָדִים וּמַלְאַךְ יהוה עֹמֵד.
ו וַיָּעַד מַלְאַךְ יהוה בִּיהוֹשֻׁעַ לֵאמֹר.
ז כֹּה אָמַר יהוה צְבָאוֹת אִם בִּדְרָכַי תֵּלֵךְ וְאִם אֶת מִשְׁמַרְתִּי תִשְׁמֹר וְגַם אַתָּה תָּדִין אֶת בֵּיתִי וְגַם תִּשְׁמֹר אֶת חֲצֵרָי וְנָתַתִּי לְךָ מַהְלְכִים בֵּין הָעֹמְדִים הָאֵלֶּה.
ח שְׁמַע נָא יְהוֹשֻׁעַ הַכֹּהֵן הַגָּדוֹל אַתָּה וְרֵעֶיךָ הַיֹּשְׁבִים לְפָנֶיךָ כִּי אַנְשֵׁי מוֹפֵת הֵמָּה: כִּי הִנְנִי מֵבִיא אֶת עַבְדִּי צֶמַח.
ט כִּי הִנֵּה הָאֶבֶן אֲשֶׁר נָתַתִּי לִפְנֵי יְהוֹשֻׁעַ עַל אֶבֶן אַחַת שִׁבְעָה עֵינָיִם; הִנְנִי מְפַתֵּחַ פִּתֻּחָהּ נְאֻם יהוה צְבָאוֹת וּמַשְׁתִּי אֶת עֲוֹן הָאָרֶץ הַהִיא בְּיוֹם אֶחָד.
י בַּיּוֹם הַהוּא נְאֻם יהוה צְבָאוֹת תִּקְרְאוּ אִישׁ לְרֵעֵהוּ אֶל תַּחַת גֶּפֶן וְאֶל תַּחַת תְּאֵנָה.

Zekhar-Yah Chapter 4
1 And the Malakh that spoke with me returned, and waked me, as a man that is wakened out of his sleep. 2 And he said unto me, "What do you see?" And I said, "I have seen, and behold, a Menorah all of gold, with a bowl upon the top of it, and its seven lamps thereon; there are seven pipes, yes, seven, to the lamps, which are upon the top thereof; 3 and two olive trees by it, one upon the right side of the bowl, and the other upon the left side thereof." 4 And I answered and spoke to the Malakh that spoke with me, saying, "What are these, my Adon?" 5 Then the Malakh that spoke with me answered and said unto me, "Do you not know what these are?" And I said, "No, my Adon." 6 Then he answered and spoke unto me, saying, "This is the D'var יהוה unto Zerubavel, saying, 'Not by might, nor by power, but by My Ru'akh, says יהוה Tzeva'ot. 7 Who are you, O great mountain before Zerubavel? You shall become a plain; and he shall bring forth the top stone with shoutings of 'Grace, grace, unto it'.'"

ז כֹּה אָמַר יהוה צְבָאוֹת אִם בִּדְרָכַי תֵּלֵךְ וְאִם אֶת מִשְׁמַרְתִּי תִשְׁמֹר וְגַם אַתָּה תָּדִין אֶת בֵּיתִי וְגַם תִּשְׁמֹר אֶת חֲצֵרָי וְנָתַתִּי לְךָ מַהְלְכִים בֵּין הָעֹמְדִים הָאֵלֶּה.
ח שְׁמַע נָא יְהוֹשֻׁעַ הַכֹּהֵן הַגָּדוֹל אַתָּה וְרֵעֶיךָ הַיֹּשְׁבִים לְפָנֶיךָ כִּי אַנְשֵׁי מוֹפֵת הֵמָּה: כִּי הִנְנִי מֵבִיא אֶת עַבְדִּי צֶמַח.

1 For the Leader. A Mizmor of David, a Song. 2 Let Elohim arise, let His enemies be scattered; and let them that hate Him flee from before Him. 3 As smoke is driven away, so drive them away; as wax melts before the fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence of Elohim. 4 But let the Tzadikim be glad, let them exult before Elohim; yes, let them rejoice with gladness. 5 Sing unto Elohim, sing praises to His Name; extol Him that rides upon the skies, whose Name is Yah; and exult before Him. 6 A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, is Elohim in His set-apart habitation. 7 Elohim makes the solitary to dwell in a house; He brings out the prisoners into prosperity; the rebellious dwell but in a parched land. 8 O Elohim, when You went forth before Your people, when You did march through the wilderness, Selah, 9 The earth trembled, the heavens also dropped at the presence of Elohim; even yon Sinai trembled at the presence of Elohim, the Elohim of Yisra'el. 10 A bounteous rain did You pour down, O Elohim; when Your inheritance was weary, You did confirm it. 11 Your flock settled therein; You did prepare in Your goodness for the poor, O Elohim. 12 Adonai gives the word; those who declare the good news are a great army. 13 Kings of armies flee, they flee; and she that tarries at home divides the spoil. 14 When you lie among the sheepfolds, the wings of the dove are covered with silver, and her pinions with the shimmer of gold. 15 When Shadai scatters kings therein, it snows in Tzalmon. 16 A mountain of Elohim is the mountain of Bashan; a mountain of peaks is the mountain of Bashan. 17 Why do you look askance, you mountains of peaks, at the mountain which Elohim has desired for His abode? Yes, יהוה will dwell therein forever. 18 The chariots of Elohim are myriads, even thousands upon thousands; Adonai is among them, as in Sinai, in Kodesh. 19 You have ascended on high, You have recaptured the captives; You have taken gifts to mankind. And even among the rebellious, Yah, Elohim, is to dwell. 20 Blessed is Adonai, day by day He bears our burden, even the Elohim who is our Salvation. Selah. 21 God is unto us an God of Salvations; and unto יהוה Adonai belong the issues of death. 22 Surely Elohim will smite through the head of His enemies, the hairy scalp of him that goes about in his guiltiness. 23 Adonai said, "I will bring back from Bashan, I will bring them back from the depths of the sea; 24 That your foot may wade through blood, that the tongue of your dogs may have its portion from your enemies." 25 They see Your goings, O Elohim, even the goings of my Elohim, my Melekh, in Kodesh. 26 The singers go before, the minstrels follow after, in the midst of damsels playing upon timbrels. 27 "Bless Elohim in full assemblies, even Adonai, you that are from the fountain of Yisra'el." 28 There is Binyamin, the youngest, ruling them, the princes of Yehudah their council, the princes of Zevulun, the princes of Naftali. 29 Your Elohim has commanded your strength; be strong, O Elohim, You that have wrought for us 30 Out of Your Heikhal at Yerushalayim, where kings shall bring presents unto You. 31 Rebuke the wild beast of the reeds, the multitude of the bulls, with the calves of the peoples, every one submitting himself with pieces of silver; He has scattered the peoples that delight in war! 32 Nobles shall come out of Mitzrayim; Kush shall hasten to stretch out her hands unto Elohim. 33 Sing unto Elohim, you kingdoms of the earth; O sing praises unto Adonai; Selah. 34 To Him that rides upon the heaven of heavens, which are of old; lo, He utters His voice, a mighty voice. 35 Ascribe strength unto Elohim; His majesty is over Yisra'el, and His strength is in the skies. 36 Awesome is Elohim out of your Mikdashim; the Elohim of Yisra'el, He gives strength and power unto the people; blessed is Elohim.

א לַמְנַצֵחַ לְדָוִד מִזְמור שִיר.
ב יָקום אֱלֹהִים יָפוצו אויְבָיו; וְיָנוסו מְשַנְאָיו מִפָנָיו.
ג כְהִנְדֹף עָשָן תִנְדֹף: כְהִמֵס דונַג מִפְנֵי אֵש יֹאבְדו רְשָעִים מִפְנֵי אֱלֹהִים.
ד וְצַדִיקִים יִשְמְחו יַעַלְצו לִפְנֵי אֱלֹהִים; וְיָשִישו בְשִמְחָה.

ח אֱלֹהִים בְצֵאתְךָ לִפְנֵי עַמֶךָ; בְצַעְדְךָ בִישִימון סֶלָה.
ט אֶרֶץ רָעָשָה אַף שָמַיִם נָטְפוּ מִפְנֵי אֱלֹהִים: זֶה סִינַי מִפְנֵי אֱלֹהִים אֱלהֵי יִשׂרָאֵל.
י גֶשֶם נְדָבות תָנִיף אֱלֹהִים; נַחֲלָתְךָ וְנִלְאָה אַתָה כונַנְתָה.
יא חַיָתְךָ יָשְבו בָה; תָכִין בְטובָתְךָ לֶעָנִי אֱלֹהִים.
יב אֲדֹנָי יִתֶן אֹמֶר; הַמְבַשְרות צָבָא רָב.
יג מַלְכֵי צְבָאות יִדֹדון יִדֹדון; ונְוַת בַיִת תְחַלֵק שָלָל.
יד אִם תִשְכְבון בֵין שְפַתָיִם: כַנְפֵי יונָה נֶחְפָה בַכֶסֶף; וְאֶבְרותֶיהָ בִירַקְרַק חָרוץ.
טו בְפָרֵש שַדַי מְלָכִים בָה תַשְלֵג בְצַלְמון.
טז הַר אֱלֹהִים הַר בָשָן: הַר גַבְנֻנִים הַר בָשָן.
יז לָמָה תְרַצְדון הָרִים גַבְנֻנִים: הָהָר חָמַד אֱלֹהִים לְשִבְתו; אַף יהוה יִשְכֹן לָנֶצַח.
יח רֶכֶב אֱלֹהִים רִבֹתַיִם אַלְפֵי שִנְאָן; אֲדֹנָי בָם סִינַי בַקֹדֶש.

כד לְמַעַן תִמְחַץ רַגְלְךָ בְדָם: לְשון כְלָבֶיךָ מֵאֹיְבִים מִנֵהו.
כה רָאו הֲלִיכותֶיךָ אֱלֹהִים; הֲלִיכות אֵלִי מַלְכִי בַקֹדֶש.
כו קִדְמו שָרִים אַחַר נֹגְנִים; בְתוךְ עֲלָמות תופֵפות.
כז בְמַקְהֵלות בָרְכו אֱלֹהִים; אֲדֹנָי מִמְקור יִשְרָאֵל.
כח שָם בִנְיָמִן צָעִיר רֹדֵם שָרֵי יְהודָה רִגְמָתָם; שָרֵי זְבֻלון שָרֵי נַפְתָלִי.
כט צִוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ עֻזֶךָ: עוזָה אֱלֹהִים זו פָעַלְתָ לָנו.
ל מֵהֵיכָלֶךָ עַל יְרושָלִָם לְךָ יובִילו מְלָכִים שָי.
לא גְעַר חַיַת קָנֶה עֲדַת אַבִירִים בְעֶגְלֵי עַמִים מִתְרַפֵס בְרַצֵי כָסֶף; בִזַר עַמִים קְרָבות יֶחְפָצו.
לב יֶאֱתָיו חַשְמַנִים מִנִי מִצְרָיִם; כוש תָרִיץ יָדָיו לֵאלֹהִים.
לג מַמְלְכות הָאָרֶץ שִירו לֵאלֹהִים; זַמְרו אֲדֹנָי סֶלָה.
לד לָרֹכֵב בִשְמֵי שְמֵי קֶדֶם הֵן יִתֵן בְקולו קול עֹז.
לה תְנו עֹז לֵאלֹהִים: עַל יִשְרָאֵל גַאֲוָתו; וְעֻזו בַשְחָקִים.
לו נורָא אֱלֹהִים מִמִקְדָשֶיךָ: אֵל יִשְרָאֵל הוא נֹתֵן עֹז וְתַעֲצֻמות לָעָם; בָרוךְ אֱלֹהִים.

Ivrim Chapter 4
1 Let us therefore fear, while the promise of entering into His rest remains, lest some amongst you find they are prevented from entering. 2 For HaB'sorah was declared to us as it was to them also, but HaDavar, which they heard, did not benefit them, because it was not mixed with trust by those who heard it. 3 But we who have trusted will enter into rest, as He said, "As I have sworn in my wrath, they shall not enter into my rest;" for behold, the works of Elohim were from the very foundation of the world. 4 For He said concerning Shabbat, "Elohim rested on the seventh day from all His works." 5 And here again He said, "They shall not enter into my rest." 6 There was a chance for some to enter therein, but they to whom HaB'sorah was first declared did not enter because they would not listen; 7 and again, after a long time He appointed another day, as it is written above; for David said, "Today, if you hear His voice, harden not your hearts." 8 For if Yehoshua Bin Nun had given them rest, he would not afterward have spoken of another day. 9 Therefore, for the people of Elohim, doing Shabbat remains. 10 For he who has entered into His rest also has ceased from his own works, as Elohim did from His.
11 Let us strive therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall like those who were disobedient. 12 For the D'var HaElohim is living, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the point of division between soul and spirit, and between the joints and marrow and bones, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. 13 And there is no creature hidden from His sight; but all things are naked and open before the eyes of Him to whom we are to answer. 14 We have, therefore, a great Kohen Gadol who has ascended into heaven, Yeshua HaMashi'akh, Ben HaElohim; let us remain firm in confessing Him. 15 For we do not have a Kohen Gadol who cannot share our infirmities, but we have one who was tempted with everything as we are, and yet without sin. 16 Let us, therefore, come in confidence to the throne of His compassion, that we may obtain mercy and find compassion to help in time of need. | מעשאגרת שאול אל העברים פרק ד
א לָכֵן נִירָא, פֶּן בְּעוֹד עוֹמֶדֶת הַבְטָחַת הַכְּנִיסָה אֶל מְנוּחָתוֹ, יִמָּצֵא אִישׁ מִכֶּם נִמְנַע מִלְּהִכָּנֵס.
ב הֵן גַּם אֲנַחְנוּ הִתְבַּשַּׂרְנוּ כְּמוֹהֶם, אַךְ לֹא הוֹעִיל לָהֶם הַדָּבָר שֶׁשָּׁמְעוּ, מִפְּנֵי שֶׁלֹּא הָיָה מְעֹרָב בֶּאֱמוּנָה לְשׁוֹמְעָיו.
ג אֲבָל אֲנַחְנוּ נִכְנָסִים אֶל הַמְּנוּחָה, אֲנַחְנוּ אֲשֶׁר הֶאֱמַנּוּ, בְּרַם כְּמוֹ שֶׁאָמַר: אֲשֶׁר נִשְׁבַּעְתִּי בְּאַפִּי אִם יְבוֹאוּן אֶל מְנוּחָתִי; שֶׁהֲרֵי מַעֲשֵׂי אֱלֹהִים הָיוּ מִתְּחִלַּת הָעוֹלָם;
ד כְּפִי שֶׁאָמַר עַל הַשַּׁבָּת: וַיִּשְׁבֹּת אֱלֹהִים בַּיּוֹם הַשְּׁבִיעִי מִכָּל מְלַאכְתּוֹ.
ה וְכָאן עוֹד אָמַר: אִם יְבוֹאוּן אֶל מְנוּחָתִי.
ו לָכֵן מִכֵּיוָן שֶׁהָיְתָה אֶפְשָׁרוּת שֶׁאֲחָדִים יִכָּנְסוּ אֵלֶיהָ, וְהַלָּלוּ שֶׁהִתְבַּשְּׂרוּ רִאשׁוֹנִים לֹא נִכְנְסוּ מִפְּנֵי שֶׁלֹּא צִיְּתוּ,
ז שׁוּב קָבַע יוֹם אַחֵר, לְאַחַר זְמַן רַב, כַּכָּתוּב לְעֵיל שֶׁאָמַר דָּוִד: הַיּוֹם אִם בְּקוֹלוֹ תִשְׁמָעוּ, אַל תַּקְשׁוּ לְבַבְכֶם;
ח שֶׁהֲרֵי אִלּוּ הֵנִיחַ לָהֶם יְהוֹשֻׁעַ בִּן נוּן, לֹא הָיָה אוֹמֵר אַחֲרֵי כֵן עַל יוֹם אַחֵר.
ט לָכֵן נִשְׁאָר לְעַם אֱלֹהִים לִשְׁבֹּת;
י כִּי הַנִּכְנָס אֶל מְנוּחָתוֹ נָח גַּם הוּא מִמְּלַאכְתּוֹ כְּמוֹ הָאֱלֹהִים מִשֶּׁלּוֹ.
יא לָכֵן נִשְׁקֹד לְהִכָּנֵס לַמְּנוּחָה הַהִיא, פֶּן נִפֹּל כְּמוֹ הַלָּלוּ אֲשֶׁר לֹא צִיְּתוּ;
יב כִּי חַי הוּא דְּבַר הָאֱלֹהִים וּפוֹעֵל הַכֹּל, וְחַד הוּא מֵחֶרֶב פִּיפִיּוֹת וְחוֹדֵר עַד לְהַבְדִּיל בֵּין הַנֶּפֶשׁ לָרוּחַ וּבֵין הַפְּרָקִים לְמֹחַ הָעֲצָמוֹת, וְשׁוֹפֵט אֶת הַמַּחֲשָׁבוֹת וְאֶת הַהִרְהוּרִים שֶׁל הַלֵּב.
יג וְאֵין בְּרִיָּה נִסְתֶּרֶת מִלְּפָנָיו, אֶלָּא הַכֹּל חָשׂוּף וְגָלוּי לְעֵינֵי מִי שֶׁלְּפָנָיו נוֹתְנִים אָנוּ דִּין וְחֶשְׁבּוֹן.
יד וּבְכֵן מִכֵּיוָן שֶׁיֵּשׁ לָנוּ כֹּהֵן גָּדוֹל נַעֲלֶה, יֵשׁוּעַ הַמָּשִׁיחַ בֶּן הָאֱלֹהִים אֲשֶׁר עָלָה לַשָּׁמַיִם, נַחֲזִיקָה בְּהוֹדָאָתוֹ;
טו כִּי אֵין לָנוּ כֹּהֵן גָּדוֹל אֲשֶׁר אֵינוֹ יָכוֹל לָחוּשׁ עִמָּנוּ אֶת חֻלְשָׁתֵנוּ, אֶלָּא אֲשֶׁר מְנֻסֶּה בְּכָל דָּבָר כָּמוֹנוּ מִבְּלִי חֵטְא.
טז לָכֵן נִתְקָרֵב בְּבִטְחָה לְכֵס חַסְדּוֹ,לְמַעַן נִשָּׂא רַחֲמִים וְנִמְצָא חֶסֶד לְעֶזְרָה בְּעֵת צָרָה.

Luka Chapter 17
11 And it came to pass while Yeshua was going to Yerushalayim, He went through Shomron which is towards the Galil. 12 And when He drew near to enter a village, He was met by ten lepers, and they stood afar off; 13 and they lifted their voices saying, “O Yeshua, Adoneinu, have mercy on us.” 14 And when He saw them He said to them, “Go show yourselves to the Kohanim.” And while they were going, they were cleansed. 15 But one of them, when he saw that he was cleansed, turned back, and with a loud voice praised Elohim. 16 And he fell on his face at the feet of Yeshua, thanking Him; and this one was a Shomroni. 17 Yeshua, answering, said, “Were there not ten who were cleansed? Where are the nine? 18 Why did they separate themselves so as not to come and give praise to Elohim, except this man who is of a strange people?” 19 And He said to him, “Arise, go; your Emunah has given you life.”
20 When some of the P'rushim asked Yeshua when Malkhut HaElohim would come, He answered, saying to them, “Malkhut HaElohim does not come by observation. 21 Neither will they say, ‘Behold, it is here!' or, ‘behold, it is there!' For behold, Malkhut HaElohim is within you.” 22 And He said to His Talmidim, “The time will come when you will covet to see one of the days of Ben HaAdam, and you will not see it. 23 And if they should say to you, ‘Behold, He is here!' And ‘Behold, He is there!' do not go. 24 For just as the lightning flashes from the sky, and all under the sky is lighted, such will be the day of Ben HaAdam. 25 But first He must suffer a great many things, and be rejected by this generation. 26 Just as it happened in the days of No'akh, such will it be in the days of Ben HaAdam. 27 For they were eating and drinking, and marrying, and giving in marriage, until the day when No'akh entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed every man. 28 And again, just as it happened in the days of Lot, they were eating and drinking, and buying and selling, and planting and building; 29 but in the day when Lot went out of S'dom, יהוה sent down a rain of fire and sulfur from Heaven, and destroyed them all. 30 Such will it be in the day when Ben HaAdam appears. 31 In that day, he who is on the roof, with his clothes in the house, will not come down to take them; and he who is in the field will not turn back. 32 Just remember Lot’s wife. 33 He who desires to save his life shall lose it; and he who loses his life shall save it. 34 I say to you that in that very night two will be in one bed; one will be taken and the other forsaken. 35 And two women will be grinding together; one will be taken and the other forsaken. 36 Two will be in the field; one will be taken and the other forsaken.” 37 They answered, saying to Him, “Adoneinu, to what place?” He said to them, “Wherever the Guf is, there will the eagles gather.” | לוקא פרק יז
יא וְכַאֲשֶׁר הָלַךְ יֵשׁוּעַ לִירוּשָׁלַיִם, עָבַר בֵּין הַשּׁוֹמְרוֹן לַגָּלִיל.
יב וּכְשֶׁהָיָה קָרוֹב לְהִכָּנֵס לִכְפָר אֶחָד, פְּגָשׁוּהוּ עֲשָׂרָה אֲנָשִׁים מְצֹרָעִים; וְהֵם עָמְדוּ מֵרָחוֹק,
יג וְנָשְׂאוּ קוֹלָם וְאָמְרוּ: רַבֵּנוּ יֵשׁוּעַ, רַחֵם עָלֵינוּ.
יד וְכַאֲשֶׁר רָאָה אוֹתָם, אָמַר לָהֶם: לְכוּ הַרְאוּ עַצְמְכֶם לַכֹּהֲנִים. וּבְלֶכְתָּם נִטְהֲרוּ.
טו אֲבָל אֶחָד מֵהֶם, כִּרְאוֹתוֹ שֶׁנִּטְהַר, חָזַר וּבְקוֹל רָם שִׁבַּח אֶת הָאֱלֹהִים,
טז וְנָפַל עַל פָּנָיו לְרַגְלֵי יֵשׁוּעַ וְהוֹדָה לוֹ. וְהוּא שׁוֹמְרוֹנִי הָיָה.
יז עָנָה יֵשׁוּעַ וְאָמַר: הַאִם לֹא הָיוּ עֲשָׂרָה הַלָּלוּ שֶׁנִּטְהֲרוּ? אֵיפֹה הֵם הַתִּשְׁעָה?
יח הַאִם הָלְכוּ וְלֹא יָבוֹאוּ וְיִתְּנוּ כָּבוֹד לֵאלֹהִים, מִלְּבַד זֶה אֲשֶׁר מֵעַם נָכְרִי הוּא?
יט וְאָמַר לוֹ: קוּם, לֵךְ; אֱמוּנָתְךָ הֶחֶיְתָה אוֹתְךָ.
כ וְכַאֲשֶׁר שָׁאֲלוּ אֶת יֵשׁוּעַ כַּמָּה מִן הַפְּרוּשִׁים מָתַי תָּבוֹא מַלְכוּת הָאֱלֹהִים, עָנָה וְאָמַר לָהֶם: אֵין מַלְכוּת הָאֱלֹהִים בָּאָה בְּהַבְחָנוֹת.
כא וְאֵין אוֹמְרִים, הִנֵּה פֹּה הִיא, וְהִנֵּה שָׁם הִיא, כִּי הִנֵּה מַלְכוּת הָאֱלֹהִים בְּקִרְבְּכֶם הִיא.
כב וְאָמַר לְתַלְמִידָיו: יָבוֹאוּ יָמִים שֶׁתִּשְׁתּוֹקְקוּ לִרְאוֹת אֶחָד מִימֵי בֶּן הָאָדָם וְלֹא תִּרְאוּ.
כג וְאִם יֹאמְרוּ לָכֶם, הִנֵּה פֹּה הוּא, וְהִנֵּה שָׁם הוּא, אַל תֵּלְכוּ;
כד כִּי כְּמוֹ שֶׁהַבָּרָק מַבְרִיק מִן הַשָּׁמַיִם וּמֵאִיר הַכֹּל תַּחַת הַשָּׁמַיִם, כָּךְ יִהְיֶה בֶּן הָאָדָם בְּיוֹמוֹ.
כה אֲבָל תְּחִלָּה עָתִיד הוּא לִסְבֹּל רַבּוֹת וּלְהִדָּחוֹת עַל יְדֵי הַדּוֹר הַזֶּה.
כו וּכְמוֹ שֶׁהָיָה בִּימֵי נֹחַ, כָּךְ יִהְיֶה בִּימֵי בֶּן הָאָדָם;
כז שֶׁהָיוּ אוֹכְלִים וְשׁוֹתִים וְנוֹשְׂאִים נָשִׁים וְנוֹתְנִים אוֹתָן לִגְבָרִים, עַד לַיּוֹם שֶׁנִּכְנַס נֹחַ לַתֵּבָה, וּבָא הַמַּבּוּל וְהִשְׁמִיד כָּל אִישׁ.
כח וּכְמוֹ שֶׁהָיָה שׁוּב בִּימֵי לוֹט, שֶׁהָיוּ אוֹכְלִים וְשׁוֹתִים וְקוֹנִים וּמוֹכְרִים, וְהָיוּ נוֹטְעִים וּבוֹנִים,
כט אַךְ בַּיּוֹם שֶׁיָּצָא לוֹט מִסְּדוֹם, הִמְטִיר יְהוָֹה אֵשׁ וְגָפְרִית מִן הַשָּׁמַיִם וְהִשְׁמִיד אֶת כֻּלָּם,
ל כָּךְ יִהְיֶה בַּיּוֹם שֶׁיִּתְגַּלֶּה בֶּן הָאָדָם.
לא בַּיּוֹם הַהוּא, מִי שֶׁעַל הַגַּג וְכֵלָיו בַּבַּיִת, אַל יֵרֵד לָקַחַת אוֹתָם; וּמִי שֶׁבַּשָּׂדֶה אַל יִסֹּב לַאֲחוֹרָיו.
לב זִכְרוּ אֶת אֵשֶׁת לוֹט. לג מִי שֶׁרוֹצֶה לְהוֹשִׁיעַ אֶת נַפְשׁוֹ יְאַבְּדֶנָּה, וּמִי שֶׁיְּאַבֵּד אֶת נַפְשׁוֹ יוֹשִׁיעֶנָּה.
לד אוֹמֵר אֲנִי לָכֶם, שֶׁבַּלַּיְלָה הַהוּא שְׁנַיִם יִהְיוּ בְּמִטָּה אַחַת; אֶחָד יִלָּקַח וְהָאַחֵר יֵעָזֵב.
לה וּשְׁתַּיִם תִּהְיֶינָה טוֹחֲנוֹת יַחַד, אַחַת תִּלָּקַח וְהָאַחֶרֶת תֵּעָזֵב.
לו שְׁנַיִם יִהְיוּ בַּשָּׂדֶה; אֶחָד יִלָּקַח וְהָאַחֵר יֵעָזֵב.
לז עָנוּ וְאָמְרוּ לוֹ: לְאָן, אֲדוֹנֵינוּ? אָמַר לָהֶם: הֵיכָן שֶׁהַגּוּף, שָׁם יִתְקַבְּצוּ הַנְּשָׁרִים.

Luka Chapter 18
1 He also spoke to them a mashal, that they should pray always and not get weary. 2 “There was a judge in a city, who neither feared Elohim nor regarded men. 3 And there was a widow in that city who used to come to him, saying, ‘Avenge me of my accuser.' 4 And he would not for a long time; but afterwards he said within himself, ‘Though I am not afraid of Elohim and have no regard for men, 5 yet because this widow troubles me, I will avenge her, so that she may not keep coming and annoying me.'” 6 Then Adoneinu said, “Hear what the unjust judge said. 7 Would not Elohim avenge his chosen ones much more, who call upon Him day and night, and He has patience with them? 8 I say to you, He will avenge them promptly. But when Ben HaAdam comes, will He find Emunah on the earth?”
9 And He spoke this mashal against the men who relied upon themselves, that they were righteous, and despised every other man: 10 “Two men went up to the Heikhal to pray, one a Parush, and the other a tax collector. 11 And the Parush stood by himself, and prayed thus: ‘O Elohim, I thank you that I am not like the rest of men, extortionists, covetous, adulterers, and not like this tax collector. 12 But I fast twice a week, and I give tenth-parts on everything I earn.' 13 But the tax collector stood afar off, and he would not even lift up his eyes to Heaven, but smote his breast, saying, ‘O Elohim, be merciful to me, a sinner.' 14 I say to you that this man went down to his house more righteous than the Parush. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled; and everyone who humbles himself will be exalted.” | לוקא פרק יח
א אָמַר לָהֶם גַּם מָשָׁל, כְּדֵי שֶׁיִּתְפַּלְּלוּ בְּכָל עֵת וְלֹא יִרְפּוּ;
ב שׁוֹפֵט אֶחָד הָיָה בְּעִיר אַחַת, אֲשֶׁר מֵאֱלֹהִים לֹא הָיָה יָרֵא, וּבִבְנֵי אָדָם לֹא נָהַג כָּבוֹד.
ג וְאַלְמָנָה אַחַת הָיְתָה בָּעִיר הַהִיא, וְהָיְתָה בָּאָה אֵלָיו וְאוֹמֶרֶת, שָׁפְטֵנִי מִבַּעַל דִּינִי.
ד וְלֹא רָצָה זְמַן רַב, אֲבָל אַחֲרֵי כֵן אָמַר לְעַצְמוֹ, גַּם אִם מֵאֱלֹהִים אֵינֶנִּי יָרֵא וּבִבְנֵי אָדָם אֵינֶנִּי נוֹהֵג כָּבוֹד,
ה וְגַם אִם מִפְּנֵי שֶׁהָאַלְמָנָה הַזֹּאת מְיַגַּעַת אוֹתִי, אֶעֱשֶׂה אֶת מִשְׁפָּטָהּ כְּדֵי שֶׁלֹּא תָּבוֹא בְּכָל עֵת וְתַטְרִידֵנִי.
ו וְאָמַר אֲדוֹנֵינוּ: שִׁמְעוּ מַה שֶּׁאָמַר שׁוֹפֵט הָעַוְלָה.
ז וְהָאֱלֹהִים הַאִם לֹא כָּל שֶׁכֵּן יַעֲשֶׂה אֶת מִשְׁפַּט בְּחִירָיו הַקּוֹרְאִים אֵלָיו יוֹמָם וָלַיְלָה, וְיַאֲרִיךְ רוּחוֹ עֲלֵיהֶם?
ח אוֹמֵר אֲנִי לָכֶם, שֶׁיַּעֲשֶׂה אֶת מִשְׁפָּטָם מַהֵר. בְּרַם יָבוֹא בֶּן הָאָדָם וְכִי יִמְצָא אֱמוּנָה בָּאָרֶץ?
ט וְאָמַר אֶת הַמָּשָׁל הַזֶּה נֶגֶד הָאֲנָשִׁים שֶׁבָּטְחוּ בְּעַצְמָם שׁהֵם צַדִּיקִים, וּבָזוּ לְכָל אָדָם:
י שְׁנֵי אֲנָשִׁים עָלוּ לַהֵיכָל לְהִתְפַּלֵּל, אֶחָד פָּרוּשׁ וְהָאַחֵר מוֹכֵס.
יא וְהַפָּרוּשׁ עָמַד בֵּינוֹ לְבֵין עַצְמוֹ וְהִתְפַּלֵּל כָּךְ: אֱלֹהִים, מוֹדֶה אֲנִי לְךָ עַל שֶׁאֵינֶנִּי כִּשְׁאָר הָאֲנָשִׁים, גַּזְלָנִים וְעוֹשְׁקִים וְנוֹאֲפִים, וְלֹא כְּמוֹ הַמּוֹכֵס הַזֶּה;
יב אֶלָּא אֲנִי צָם פַּעֲמַיִם בְּשָׁבוּעַ, וּמְעֲשֵּׂר כָּל מַה שֶּׁאֲנִי מַרְוִיחַ.
יג אֲבָל הַמּוֹכֵס עָמַד מֵרָחוֹק וְלֹא רָצָה אֲפִלּוּ לְהָרִים אֶת עֵינָיו לַשָּׁמַיִם, אֶלָּא טָפַח עַל חָזֵהוּ וְאָמַר, אֱלֹהִים, רַחֵם עָלַי הַחוֹטֵא.
יד אוֹמֵר אֲנִי לָכֶם, שֶׁזֶּה יָרַד לְבֵיתוֹ מֻצְדָּק יוֹתֵר מֵהַפָּרוּשׁ הַהוּא; כִּי כָּל אִישׁ אֲשֶׁר יְרוֹמֵם אֶת עַצְמוֹ יֻשְׁפַּל, וְכָל מִי שֶׁיַּשְׁפִּיל אֶת עַצְמוֹ יְרוֹמַם.
