VaYikra Chapter 21
1 And יהוה said unto Moshe, "Speak unto the Kohanim the sons of Aharon, and say unto them, 'There shall none defile himself for the dead among his people; 2 except for his kin that is near unto him, for his mother, and for his father, and for his son, and for his daughter, and for his brother; 3 and for his sister a virgin that is near unto him, that has had no husband, for her may he defile himself. 4 He shall not defile himself, being a chief man among his people, to profane himself. 5 They shall not make baldness upon their head, neither shall they shave off the corners of their beard, nor make any cuttings in their flesh. 6 They shall be consecrated unto their Elohim, and not profane the Name of their Elohim; for the offerings of יהוה made by fire, the bread of their Elohim, they do offer; therefore they shall be consecrated. 7 They shall not take a woman that is a harlot, or profaned; neither shall they take a woman put away from her husband; for he is consecrated unto his Elohim. 8 You shall hallow him therefore; for he offers the bread of your Elohim; he shall be kadosh unto you; for I יהוה , who sets you apart, am Kadosh. 9 And the daughter of any kohen, if she profanes herself by playing the harlot, she profanes her father: she shall be burnt with fire'."
10 "'And the kohen that is highest among his brethren, upon whose head the anointing oil is poured, and that is consecrated to put on the garments, shall not let the hair of his head go loose, nor rend his clothes; 11 neither shall he go in to any dead body, nor defile himself for his father, or for his mother; 12 neither shall he go out of the Mikdash, nor profane the Mikdash of his Elohim; for the crown of the anointing oil of his Elohim is upon him: I am יהוה . And 13 he shall take a wife in her virginity. 14 A widow, or one divorced, or a profaned woman, or a harlot, these shall he not take; but a virgin of his own people shall he take as a wife. 15 And he shall not profane his seed among his people; for I am יהוה who sets him apart'."
16 And יהוה spoke unto Moshe, saying, 17 "Speak unto Aharon, saying, 'Whoever he is of your seed throughout their generations that has a blemish, let him not approach to offer the bread of his Elohim. 18 For whatever man he is that has a blemish, he shall not approach: a blind man, or a lame, or he that has anything maimed, or anything too long, 19 or a man that is broken-footed, or broken-handed, 20 or crook-backed, or a dwarf, or that has his eye overspread, or is scabbed, or scurvy, or has his stones crushed; 21 no man of the seed of Aharon the kohen, that has a blemish, shall come nigh to offer the offerings of יהוה made by fire; he has a blemish; he shall not come nigh to offer the bread of his Elohim. 22 He may eat the bread of his Elohim, both of the Kodesh HaKadashim, and of the Kadosh. 23 Only he shall not go in unto the veil, nor come nigh unto the Mizbe'akh, because he has a blemish; that he profanes not My Mikdash; for I am יהוה who sets them apart'." 24 So Moshe spoke unto Aharon, and to his sons, and unto all B'nei Yisra'el.

VaYikra Chapter 22
1 And יהוה spoke unto Moshe, saying, 2 "Speak unto Aharon and to his sons, that they separate themselves from the kadashim of B'nei Yisra'el, which they hallow unto Me, and that they profane not My Kadosh Name: I am יהוה . Say 3 unto them, 'Whoever he is of all your seed throughout your generations that approaches unto the consecrated things which B'nei Yisra'el hallow unto יהוה , having his uncleanness upon him, that soul shall be cut off from before Me: I am יהוה . Whatever 4 man of the seed of Aharon is a leper, or has an issue, he shall not eat of the consecrated things, until he is clean. And whoever touches anyone that is unclean by the dead, or from whomever the flow of seed goes out, 5 or whoever touches any swarming thing whereby he may be made unclean, or a man of whom he may take uncleanness, whatever uncleanness he has, 6 the soul that touches any such shall be unclean until the evening, and shall not eat of the kadashim unless he bathes his flesh in water. 7 And when the sun is down, he shall be clean; and afterward he may eat of the kadashim, because it is his bread. 8 That which dies of itself, or is torn of beasts, he shall not eat to defile himself therewith: I am יהוה . They 9 shall therefore keep My charge, lest they bear sin for it, and die therein, if they profane it: I am יהוה who sets them apart. 10 There shall no common man eat of the kodesh; a tenant of a kohen, or a hired servant, shall not eat of the consecrated thing. 11 But if a kohen buys any soul, the purchase of his money, he may eat of it; and such as are born in his house, they may eat of his bread. 12 And if a kohen’s daughter is married unto a common man, she shall not eat of that which is consecrated from the consecrated things. 13 But if a kohen’s daughter is a widow, or divorced, and has no child, and is returned unto her father’s house as in her youth, she may eat of her father’s bread; but there shall no common man eat thereof. 14 And if a man eats of the kodesh through error, then he shall put the fifth part thereof unto it, and shall give unto the kohen the kodesh. 15 And they shall not profane the kadashim of B'nei Yisra'el, which they consecrated unto יהוה , and 16 so cause them to bear the iniquity that brings guilt, when they eat their kadashim; for I am יהוה who sets them apart'." 17 And יהוה spoke unto Moshe, saying, 18 "Speak unto Aharon, and to his sons, and unto all B'nei Yisra'el, and say unto them, 'Whoever he is of Beit Yisra'el, or of the strangers in Yisra'el, that brings his offering, whether it is any of their Nederim, or any of their Nedavot, which are brought unto יהוה for an Olah; 19 that you may be accepted, you shall offer a male without blemish, of the beeves, of the sheep, or of the goats. 20 But whatever has a blemish, that shall you not bring; for it shall not be acceptable for you. 21 And whoever brings a sacrifice of Sh'lamim unto יהוה in fulfilment of a Neder clearly uttered, or for a Nedavah, of the herd or of the flock, it shall be perfect to be accepted; there shall be no blemish therein. 22 Blind, or broken, or maimed, or having a wen, or scabbed, or scurvy, you shall not offer these unto יהוה , nor make an offering by fire of them upon the Mizbe'akh unto יהוה . Either23 a bullock or a lamb that has anything too long or too short, that may you offer for a freewill-offering; but for a vow it shall not be accepted. 24 That which has its stones bruised, or crushed, or torn, or cut, you shall not offer unto יהוה ; neither shall you do thus in your land. 25 Neither from the hand of a foreigner shall you offer the bread of your Elohim of any of these, because their corruption is in them, there is a blemish in them; they shall not be accepted for you'."
26 And יהוה spoke unto Moshe, saying, 27 "When a bullock, or a sheep, or a goat, is brought forth, then it shall be seven days under the dam; but from the eighth day and thenceforth it may be accepted for a karban of fire unto יהוה . And28 whether it is a cow or ewe, you shall not kill it and its young both in one day. 29 And when you sacrifice a sacrifice of thanksgiving unto יהוה , you shall sacrifice it that you may be accepted. 30 On the same day it shall be eaten; you shall leave none of it until the morning: I am יהוה . And31 you shall keep My Mitzvot, and do them: I am יהוה . And32 you shall not profane My Kadosh Name; but I will be hallowed among Bnei Yisra'el: I am יהוה who hallows you, 33 that brought you out of the land of Mitzrayim, to be your Elohim: I am יהוה ."

VaYikra Chapter 23
1 And יהוה spoke unto Moshe, saying, 2 "Speak unto B'nei Yisra'el, and say unto them, 'The Mo'edim of יהוה , which you shall proclaim to be Mikrei Kodesh, even these are My Mo'edim. 3 Six days shall work be done; but on the seventh day is a Shabbat Shabbaton, a Mikra Kodesh; you shall do no manner of work; it is a Shabbat unto יהוה in all your dwellings'."
4 "'These are the Mo'edim of יהוה , even Mikrei Kodesh, which you shall proclaim in their appointed season. 5 In the first khodesh, on the fourteenth day of the khodesh at dusk, is Pesakh unto יהוה . And6 on the fifteenth day of the same khodesh is Khag HaMatzot unto יהוה ; seven days you shall eat matzot. 7 In the first day you shall have a Mikra Kodesh; you shall do no manner of regular work. 8 And you shall bring a karban of fire unto יהוה seven days; in the seventh day is a Mikra Kodesh; you shall do no manner of regular work'."
9 And יהוה spoke unto Moshe saying, 10 "Speak unto B'nei Yisra'el, and say unto them, 'When you are come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then you shall bring the Omer Reishit of your harvest unto the kohen. 11 And he shall wave the omer before יהוה , to be accepted for you; on the morrow after the Shabbat the kohen shall wave it. 12 And in the day when you wave the omer, you shall offer a he-lamb without blemish of the first year for an Olah unto יהוה . And 13 the Minkha thereof shall be two tenth parts of an efah of fine flour mingled with oil, a karban of fire unto יהוה for a sweet savor; and the Nesekh thereof shall be of wine, the fourth part of a hin. 14 And you shall eat neither bread, nor parched grain, nor fresh ears, until this selfsame day, until you have brought the offering of your Elohim; it is a statute forever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.
15 And you shall count unto you from the morrow after The Shabbat, from the day that you brought the omer of the waving; seven Sabbaths shall there be complete; 16 even unto the morrow after the seventh Shabbat shall you number fifty days; and you shall present a Minkha Khadashah unto יהוה . You17 shall bring out of your dwellings two wave-loaves of two tenth parts of an efah; they shall be of fine flour, they shall be baked with leaven, for Bikkurim unto יהוה . And18 you shall present with the bread seven lambs without blemish of the first year, and one young bullock, and two rams; they shall be an Olah unto יהוה , with their Minkha, and their Nesekh, even a karban of fire, of a sweet savor unto יהוה . And19 you shall offer one he-goat for a Khatat, and two he-lambs of the first year for a sacrifice of Sh'lamim. 20 And the kohen shall wave them with the bread of the Bikkurim for a Tenufah before יהוה , with the two lambs; they shall be Kodesh unto יהוה for the kohen. 21 And you shall make proclamation on the selfsame day; there shall be a Mikra Kodesh unto you; you shall do no manner of regular work; it is a statute forever in all your dwellings throughout your generations. 22 And when you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not wholly reap the corner of your field, neither shall you gather the gleaning of your harvest; you shall leave them for the poor, and for the stranger: I am יהוה your Elohim'."
23 And יהוה spoke unto Moshe, saying, 24 "Speak unto B'nei Yisra'el, saying, 'In the seventh khodesh, in the first day of the khodesh, shall be a Shabbaton unto you, a Zikhron Teru'ah, a Mikra Kodesh. 25 You shall do no manner of regular work; and you shall bring a karban of fire unto יהוה '."
26 And יהוה spoke unto Moshe, saying, 27 "But on the tenth day of this seventh khodesh is Yom HaKippurim; there shall be a Mikra Kodesh unto you, and you shall afflict your souls; and you shall bring a karban of fire unto יהוה . And28 you shall do no manner of work in that same day; for it is Yom HaKippurim, to make atonement for you before יהוה your Elohim. 29 For whatever soul there is that shall not be afflicted in that same day, he shall be cut off from his people. 30 And whatever soul there is that does any manner of work in that same day, that soul will I destroy from among his people. 31 You shall do no manner of work; it is a statute forever throughout your generations in all your dwellings. 32 It shall be unto you a Shabbat Shabbaton, and you shall afflict your souls; in the ninth day of the khodesh at evening, from evening unto evening, shall you keep your Shabbat."
33 And יהוה spoke unto Moshe, saying, 34 "Speak unto B'nei Yisra'el, saying, 'On the fifteenth day of this seventh khodesh is Khag HaSukkot, Shivat Yamim unto יהוה . On35 the first day shall be a Mikra Kodesh; you shall do no manner of regular work. 36 Seven days you shall bring a karban of fire unto יהוה ; on the eighth day shall be a Mikra Kodesh unto you; and you shall bring a karban of fire unto יהוה ; it is a festive assembly; you shall do no manner of regular work.
37 These are the Mo'edim of יהוה , which you shall proclaim to be Mikrei Kodesh, to bring a karban of fire unto יהוה , an Olah, and a Minkha, a Zavakh, and Nesekh, each on its own day; 38 beside the Sabbaths of יהוה , and beside your gifts, and beside all your vows, and beside all your freewill-offerings, which you give unto יהוה . However39 on the fifteenth day of the seventh khodesh, when you have gathered in the fruits of the land, you shall keep the Khag of יהוה seven days; on the first day shall be a Shabbaton, and on the eighth day shall be a Shabbaton. 40 And you shall take, on the first day, the fruit of majestic trees, branches of palm trees, and boughs of thick, leafy trees, and willows of the brook, and you shall rejoice before יהוה your Elohim seven days. 41 And you shall keep it a Khag unto יהוה seven days in the year; it is a statute forever in your generations; you shall keep it in the seventh khodesh. 42 You shall dwell in sukkot seven days; all that spring forth in Yisra'el shall dwell in sukkot; 43 that your generations may know that I made B'nei Yisra'el to dwell in sukkot, when I brought them out of the land of Mitzrayim: I am יהוה your Elohim'." 44 And Moshe declared unto B'nei Yisra'el the Mo'edim of יהוה .

VaYikra Chapter 24
1 And יהוה spoke unto Moshe, saying, 2 'Command B'nei Yisra'el, that they bring unto you pure olive oil beaten for the light, to cause to burn the Ner Tamid. 3 Without the Parokhet HaEdut, in the Ohel Mo'ed, shall Aharon order it from evening to morning before יהוה continually; it shall be a statute forever throughout your generations. 4 He shall order the lamps upon the pure Menorah before יהוה continually'."
5 "'And you shall take fine flour, and bake twelve cakes thereof: two tenth parts of an efah shall be in one cake. 6 And you shall set them in two rows, six in a row, upon the pure table before יהוה . And7 you shall put pure frankincense with each row, that it may be to the bread for a memorial-part, even a karban of fire unto יהוה . Every8 Yom Shabbat he shall set it in order before יהוה continually; it is from B'nei Yisra'el, an everlasting Brit. 9 And it shall be for Aharon and his sons; and they shall eat it in a makom kodesh; for it is kodesh kadashim unto him of the offerings of יהוה made by fire, a perpetual due'."
10 And the son of a Yisra'elit woman, whose father was a Mitzri, went out among B'nei Yisra'el; and the son of the Yisra'elit woman and a man of Yisra'el strove together in the camp. 11 And the son of the Yisra'elit woman blasphemed the Name, and cursed; and they brought him unto Moshe. And his mother's name was Shelomit, the daughter of Divri, of the tribe of Dan. 12 And they put him in ward, that it might be declared unto them at the mouth of יהוה .
13 And יהוה spoke unto Moshe, saying, 14 "Bring forth him that has cursed without the camp; and let all that heard him lay their hands upon his head, and let all the assembly stone him. 15 And you shall speak unto B'nei Yisra'el, saying, 'Whoever curses his Elohim shall bear his sin. 16 And he that blasphemes the Name of יהוה , he shall surely be put to death; all the assembly shall certainly stone him; the stranger, as well as the home-born, when he blasphemes the Name, shall be put to death. 17 And he that smites any man mortally shall surely be put to death. 18 And he that smites a beast mortally shall make it good: life for life. 19 And if a man maims his neighbor, as he has done, so shall it be done to him: 20 breach for breach, eye for eye, tooth for tooth; as he has maimed a man, so shall it be rendered unto him. 21 And he that kills a beast shall make it good; and he that kills a man shall be put to death. 22 You shall have one manner of judgment, for the foreigner, as well as for the home-born; for I am יהוה your Elohim'." 23 And Moshe spoke to B'nei Yisra'el, and they brought forth him that had cursed out of the camp, and stoned him with stones. And B'nei Yisra'el did as יהוה commanded Moshe.

Yekhezkel Chapter 44
15 "But the Kohenim, the Levi'im, the sons of Tzadok, that kept the charge of My Mikdash when B'nei Yisra'el went astray from Me, they shall come near to Me to minister unto Me; and they shall stand before Me to offer unto Me the fat and the blood, says Adonai יהוה ; they 16 shall enter into My Mikdash, and they shall come near to My Shulkhan, to minister unto Me, and they shall keep My charge. 17 And it shall be that when they enter in at the gates of the inner court, they shall be clothed with linen garments; and no wool shall come upon them while they minister in the gates of the inner court and within. 18 They shall have linen miters upon their heads, and shall have linen breeches upon their loins; they shall not gird themselves with any thing that causes sweat. 19 And when they go forth into the outer court, even into the outer court to the people, they shall put off their garments wherein they minister, and lay them in the consecrated chambers, and they shall put on other garments, that they do not consecrate the people with their garments. 20 Neither shall they shave their heads, nor suffer their locks to grow long; they shall only poll their heads. 21 Neither shall any Kohen drink wine when they enter into the inner court. 22 Neither shall they take for their wives a widow, nor her that is put away; but they shall take virgins of the seed of Beit Yisra'el, or a widow that is the widow of a Kohen. 23 And they shall teach My people the difference between the kadosh and the common, and cause them to discern between the unclean and the clean. 24 And in a controversy they shall stand to judge; according to My ordinances shall they judge it; and they shall keep My instructions and My statutes in all My Mo'edim, and they shall hallow My Sabbaths. 25 And they shall come near no dead person to defile themselves; but for father, or for mother, or for son, or for daughter, for brother, or for sister that has had no husband, they may defile themselves. 26 And after he is cleansed, they shall reckon unto him seven days. 27 And in the day that he goes into the Mikdash, into the inner court to minister in the Mikdash, he shall offer his Khatat, says Adonai יהוה . And 28 it shall be unto them for an inheritance: I am their inheritance; and you shall give them no possession in Yisra'el: I am their possession. 29 The Minkhah, and the Khatat, and the Asham, they, even they, shall eat; and every devoted thing in Yisra'el shall be theirs. 30 And the first of all the first-fruits of every thing, and every heave-offering of every thing, of all your offerings, shall be for the Kohanim; you shall also give unto the Kohen the first of your dough, to cause a blessing to rest on your house. 31 The Kohanim shall not eat of any thing that dies of itself, or is torn, whether it is fowl or beast."

KETUVIM

Tehillah (Psalm) 42
1 For the Leader; A Maskil for the sons of Korakh. 2 As the dear pants after the water brooks, so pants my soul after You, O Elohim. 3 My soul thirsts for Elohim, for El Khai: "When shall I come and appear before Elohim?" 4 My tears have been my food day and night, while they say unto me all the day, "Where is your Elohim?" 5 These things I remember, and pour out my soul within me, how I passed on with the throng, and led them to Beit Elohim, with the voice of joy and praise, a multitude celebrating the Khag. 6 Why are you cast down, O my soul? and why do you moan within me? Hope in Elohim; for I shall yet praise Him for the Salvation of His countenance. 7 O my Elohim, my soul is cast down within me; therefore do I remember You from the land of Yarden, and the Khermonim, from Har Mitzar. 8 Deep calls unto deep at the voice of Your downpouring; all Your waves and Your billows are gone over me. 9 By day יהוה will command His compassion, and in the night His song shall be with me, even a prayer unto the Elohim of my life. 10 I will say unto Elohim my Rock, "Why have You forgotten me? Why do I go mourning under the oppression of the enemy?" 11 As with a crushing in my bones, my adversaries taunt me; while they say unto me all the day, "Where is your Elohim?" 12 Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why do you moan within me? Hope in Elohim; for I shall yet praise Him, the Salvation of my countenance, and my Elohim.

BRIT HAKHADASHAH

Luka Chapter 11
1 And it came to pass while He was praying in a certain place, when He finished, one of His Talmidim said to Him, “Adoneinu, teach us to pray, just as Yokhanan also taught his talmidim.” 2 Yeshua said to them, “When you pray, speak this way: ‘Avinu sh'bashamayim, may Your Name be made Kadosh. May Your kingdom come, Your will be done, as in Heaven, so on earth. 3 Give us the bread we need each day. 4 And forgive us our sins, as we have also forgiven all who have offended us. And do not let us enter into testing, but save us from the Evil One.” 5 And He said to them, “Who is there among you who has a friend, and if he should go to him at midnight and say to him, ‘My friend, lend me three loaves, 6 for a friend has come to me from a journey and I have nothing to set before him,' 7 would his friend from inside answer, saying to him, ‘Do not trouble me; the door is already locked and my children are with me in bed; I cannot get up and give you bread'? 8 I say to you that if he will not give him because of friendship, then because of his persistence, he will rise and give him as much as he wants. 9 I say to you also, ask, and it shall be given to you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you. 10 For everyone who asks, receives; and he who seeks, finds; and he who knocks, it is opened to him. 11 For who is among you, a father, if his son should ask him bread, would he hand him a stone? And if he should ask him a fish, would he hand him a snake instead of a fish? 12 And if he should ask him for an egg, would he hand him a scorpion? 13 So if you, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will Avikhem give The Ru'akh HaKodesh from Heaven to those who ask Him?”
14 And while He was casting out a demon from a mute man, it came to pass when the demon went out, the mute man spoke; and the people were amazed. 15 But some of the men among them said, “This man casts out devils by Ba’al Zevuv, the prince of devils.” 16 And others, testing Him, asked Him for a sign from Heaven. 17 But Yeshua knew their thoughts, and said to them, “Every kingdom which is divided against itself shall be destroyed; and a house which is divided against itself shall fall. 18 And if HaSatan is divided against himself, how can his kingdom survive? And yet you say I am casting out devils through Ba’al Zevuv. 19 If I cast out devils through Ba’al Zevuv, by what do your sons cast them out? Therefore they will be your judges. 20 But if I cast out devils by the finger of Elohim, then Malkhut HaElohim is come near you. 21 When a strong man is armed and keeps watch over his courtyard, his property is safe; 22 but if there should come one who is stronger than he, he will conquer him and take away his armor in which he trusted and divide his spoil. 23 He who is not with me is against me; and he who does not gather with me will scatter. 24 When an unclean spirit is gone out of a man, it goes away and travels in places where there is no water, to seek rest; and when it finds it not, it says, ‘I will return to my own house from whence I came.' 25 And if it should come and find it swept and well furnished, 26 then it goes away and brings seven other spirits worse than itself; and they enter and dwell there; and the end of that man will become worse than the beginning.”
27 While He was saying these things, a woman out of the multitude lifted up her voice and said to Him, “Happy is the womb which bore you, and the breasts which nursed you.” 28 He said to her, “Happy are they who hear the D'var Elohim, and keep it.” 29 And when the people were gathering, He began to say, “This evil generation wants a sign; and no sign will be given to it except the sign of Yonah HaNavi. 30 For as Yonah was a sign to the Ninevim, so also will Ben HaAdam be to this generation. 31 The queen of the south will rise up in judgment with the men of this generation and condemn them; for she came from the far ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Shlomo; and behold, one greater than Shlomo is here. 32 The men of Nineveh will rise up in judgment against this generation and condemn it; for they repented at the declaration of Yonah; and behold, one greater than Yonah is here. 33 No man lights a lamp and puts it in a hidden place or under a basket, but on a lamp holder, so that those who enter may see its light. 34 The lamp of your body is your eye; when therefore your eye is bright, your whole body will also be lighted; but if it is diseased, your whole body will also be dark. 35 Take heed, therefore, lest the light which is in you is darkness. 36 If your whole body is lighted and there is no part in it dark, the whole of it will give light, just as a lamp gives you light with its shining.”
37 While He spoke, a Parush asked Him to dine with him; and He entered and reclined. 38 When the Parush saw Him, he was amazed because he did not first wash before dinner. 39 And Yeshua said to him, “Now you P’rushim clean the outside of the cup and the dish; but within you are full of extortion and iniquity. 40 O you shortsighted, did not He who made the outside also make the inside? 41 But give alms of what you have; and, behold, everything will be clean to you. 42 But woe to you P’rushim! Who take a tenth-part of mint and dill and every kind of vegetable, but overlook justice and the love of Elohim. These were necessary for you to have done, without the others being left undone. 43 Woe to you P’rushim! For you love chief seats in the Beit K’nessets and salutations in the streets. 44 Woe to you, Sofrim and P’rushim, hypocrites! For you are like graves that cannot be recognized, and men walk over them and know it not.” 45 One of the Sofrim answered, saying to Him, “Teacher, when you say these things, you reproach us also.” 46 But He said, “Woe also to you, Sofrim! For you lay heavy burdens on men, and you yourselves do not touch these burdens even with one of your fingers. 47 Woe to you! For you build the tombs of Nevi'im, whom your fathers killed. 48 Therefore you are witnesses, and you approve the works of your fathers; for they killed them, and yet you build their tombs. 49 For this reason the wisdom of Elohim also said, ‘Behold, I will send them Nevi'im and Shlikhim, some of whom they will persecute and kill;' 50 that the blood of all the Nevi'im which was shed since the creation of the world may be avenged on this nation. 51 From the blood of Avel to the blood of Zekhar-Yah, who was killed between the Heikhal and the Mizbe'akh; yes, I say to you, it will be avenged on this nation. 52 Woe to you, Sofrim! For you have taken away the keys of knowledge; you did not enter, and those who were entering you hindered.” 53 When He had said these things to them, the Sofrim and the P’rushim were displeased and they were enraged and criticized His words. 54 And they plotted against Him in many ways, seeking to catch something out of His mouth so that they might be able to accuse Him.

Luka Chapter 12
1 When a large number of people had gathered together so that they trod on one another, Yeshua began to say to His Talmidim first of all, “Beware of the leaven of the P’rushim, which is hypocrisy. 2 For there is nothing that is covered that will not be uncovered; and hidden that will not be known. 3 For whatever you have said in darkness will be heard in the light; and what you have whispered in the ears in the inner chambers will be declared on the housetops. 4 I say to you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body, and after that have nothing more they can do. 5 But I will show you of whom to be afraid; of Him who after He has killed has the power to throw into Gehinom; yes, I say to you, fear Him. 6 Are not five sparrows sold for two denarii? And yet not one of them is lost before Elohim. 7 But so far as you are concerned, even the hairs of your head are all numbered; therefore fear not, because you are much more important than many sparrows. 8 I say to you, whoever will acknowledge me before men, Ben HaAdam will also acknowledge him before the Malakhim of Elohim. 9 But he who denies me before men, I will deny before the Malakhim of Elohim. 10 And whoever says a word against Ben HaAdam will be forgiven; but he who blasphemes against The Ru'akh HaKodesh will not be forgiven. 11 When they bring you to the Beit K’nessets, before the leaders and authorities, do not worry how you will answer or what you will say; 12 for The Ru'akh HaKodesh will teach you at that very hour what you ought to say.”
13 And one of the men from the crowd said to Him, “Teacher, ask my brother to divide the inheritance with me.” 14 Yeshua said to him, “Man, who appointed me a judge or a property divider over you?” 15 And He said to His Talmidim, “Beware of all covetousness, because life does not depend on abundance of wealth.” 16 Then He told them a mashal. “The land of a rich man brought him a great many crops. 17 And he reasoned within himself, saying, ‘What shall I do, for I have no place to gather my crops?' 18 So he said, ‘I will do this: I will tear down my barns and rebuild them and enlarge them, and gather there all my wheat and my good things. 19 And I will say to myself, ‘Soul, you have many good things stored up for many years; rest, eat, drink, and be happy.' 20 But Elohim said to him, ‘O you shortsighted man, this very night your life will be demanded of you; and these things which you have prepared, to whom will they be left?' 21 Such is he who lays up treasures for himself and is not rich in the things of Elohim.”
22 And He said to His Talmidim, “Therefore I say to you, do not worry for your life, what you will eat; nor for your body, what you will wear. 23 For life is much more important than food, and the body than clothing. 24 Observe the ravens; for they do not sow or reap, and they have no storerooms and barns; and yet Elohim feeds them; how much more important are you than the birds? 25 Who among you by worrying can add to his stature one cubit? 26 So if you are not able to do the smaller thing, why do you worry about the rest? 27 Observe the flowers, how they grow; for they do not toil nor do they spin; but I say to you that not even Shlomo in all his glory was arrayed like one of these. 28 And if Elohim clothes in such fashion the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow falls into the furnace, how much more you, O you of little Emunah? 29 So do not be anxious about what you will eat or what you will drink, and let not your mind be disturbed by these things. 30 For worldly people seek after all these things; and Avikhem knows that these things are also necessary for you. 31 But seek Malkhut HaElohim, and all of these things shall be added to you. 32 Do not be afraid, O little flock; for Avikhem is pleased to give you the kingdom. 33 Sell your possessions and give them as alms; make for yourselves purses which do not wear out, and a treasure in Heaven that does not run short, where the thief does not come near, and moth does not destroy. 34 For where your treasure is, there also will be your heart. 35 Let your girdle be fastened on your loins, and your lamps lighted. 36 And be like men who expect their master when he will return from the wedding house; so that when he comes and knocks, they will immediately open the door for him. 37 Blessed are those servants, whom their master, when he comes, finds awake; truly I say to you that he will gird himself and make them sit down, and come in and serve them. 38 If he should come in the second or the third watch and find them so, blessed are those servants. 39 But know this, that if the master of the house knew at what watch the thief would come, he would have kept awake and not allowed his house to be plundered. 40 Therefore, you also be ready; for Ben HaAdam will come in that very hour which you do not expect.”
41 Shimon Kefa said to Him, “Adoneinu, do you speak this mashal to us or also to all men?” 42 Yeshua said to him, “Who is the faithful and wise steward, whom his master will appoint over his household to give supplies in due time? 43 Blessed is that servant, whom his master, when he comes, will find so doing. 44 Truly I say to you that he will appoint him over all his wealth. 45 But if that servant should say in his heart, ‘My master has delayed his coming,' and begins to beat the menservants and maidservants of his master, and then begins to eat and drink and get drunk, 46 the master of that servant will come in a day and at an hour that he does not expect or know; and he will severely punish him, and place him with those who are not trustworthy. 47 And the servant who knows the will of his master, and does not make ready according to his will, will receive a severe beating. 48 But he who does not know, and does what is worthy of punishment will receive less beating. For to whomever more is given, of him more will be required; and to whom much is entrusted, more will be required of his hand. 49 I came to set the earth on fire; and I wish to do it, if it has not already been kindled. 50 I have an immersion to be immersed with; and I am greatly afflicted until it is fulfilled. 51 Do you think that I have come to bring shalom on earth? I say to you, no, but divisions; 52 for from henceforth there will be five in a house who will be divided three against two, and two against three. 53 For a father will be divided against his son, and a son against his father; a mother against her daughter, and a daughter against her mother; a mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.”
54 And He said to the people, “When you see a cloud rise from the west, you immediately say, ‘It will rain,' and so it is. 55 And when the wind blows from the south, you say, ‘It will be hot,' and it is so. 56 O you hypocrites, you know how to discern the face of the earth and of the sky; how then is it that you do not discern this time? 57 Why do you not of yourselves judge what is right? 58 For when you go with your accuser to the ruler, while you are on the way give something and settle with him; otherwise he might take you to the judge, and the judge will deliver you to the prison warden, and the prison warden will throw you into prison. 59 Truly I say to you, you will not come out from there until you pay the last coin.”

Kolosim 2
11 in whom also you are circumcised with a circumcision made without hands, in putting off the sinful body by the circumcision of Mashi'akh; 12 and you were buried with Him in immersion, and by Him you were raised with Him, for you trusted in the power of Elohim who raised Him from the dead.
13 And you, who once were dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has granted to live with Him, and He has forgiven you all your sins; 14 and by His mitzvot He cancelled the written record of our sins, which stood against us; and He took it out of the way, nailing it to His stake; 15 and by putting off His mortal body, He exposed the powers of evil, and through His nature put them openly to shame.
16 Let no one therefore create a disturbance among you about eating and drinking, or about the distinctions of feast days, the beginning of the khadashim, and of Sabbaths. 17 These are shadows of things to come; but HaGuf, it is Mashi'akh. 18 Let no man, by pretense of sincerity, doom you so that you worship Malakhim; for he is bold about the things he has not seen, and foolishly he is proud of his intellectual powers; 19 that very person does not uphold the Head by whom the whole Body is constructed and stands, with the joints and members, and grows through the discipline of Elohim. 20 Therefore, if you have died with Mashi'akh and are apart from the principles of the world, why then should you be doomed as though living in the world? 21 Do not touch; do not taste; do not follow; 22 for these things are customs which are changeable and they are the commandments and doctrines of men. 23 And it appears there is some word of wisdom in these things when presented by the humble person in reverence for Elohim, provided they disregard the things of the flesh, not those things which are honorable, but only those things which satisfy the pleasure of the flesh.
