VaYikra Chapter 19
1 And יהוה spoke unto Moshe, saying, 2 "Speak unto all the assembly of B'nei Yisra'el, and say unto them, 'You shall be k’doshim; for I, יהוה your Elohim, am kadosh. 3 You shall fear every man his mother, and his father, and you shall keep My sabbaths: I am יהוה your Elohim. 4 Turn not unto the idols, nor make for yourselves molten gods: I am יהוה your Elohim. 5 And when you offer a sacrifice of Sh'lamim unto יהוה , you shall offer it that you may be accepted. 6 It shall be eaten the same day you offer it, and on the morrow; and if any of it remains until the third day, it shall be burnt with fire. 7 And if it is eaten at all on the third day, it is a vile thing; it shall not be accepted. 8 But every one that eats it shall bear his iniquity, because he has profaned the consecrated thing of יהוה ; and that soul shall be cut off from his people'."
9 "'And when you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not wholly reap the corner of your field, neither shall you gather the gleaning of your harvest. 10 And you shall not glean your vineyard, neither shall you gather the fallen fruit of your vineyard; you shall leave them for the poor and for the stranger: I am יהוה your Elohim'."
11 "'You shall not steal; neither shall you deal falsely, nor lie one to another. 12 And you shall not swear by My Name falsely, so that you profane the Name of your Elohim: I am יהוה . You13 shall not oppress your neighbor, nor rob him; the wages of a hired servant shall not abide with you all night until the morning. 14 You shall not curse the deaf, nor put a stumbling-block before the blind, but you shall fear your Elohim: I am יהוה .
15 You shall do no unrighteousness in judgment; you shall not respect the person of the poor, nor favor the person of the rich; but in righteousness shall you judge your neighbor. 16 You shall not go up and down as a talebearer among your people; neither shall you stand idly by the blood of your neighbor: I am יהוה . You17 shall not hate your brother in your heart; you shall surely rebuke your neighbor, and not bear sin because of him. 18 You shall not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the children of your people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am יהוה '."
"'19 You shall keep My Khukot. You shall not let your cattle gender with a diverse kind; you shall not sow your field with two kinds of seed; neither shall there come upon you a garment of two kinds of stuff mingled together. 20 And whoever lies carnally with a woman, that is a bondmaid, designated for a man, and not at all redeemed, nor was freedom given her, there shall be inquisition; they shall not be put to death, because she was not free. 21 And he shall bring his forfeit unto יהוה , unto the door of the Ohel Mo'ed, even a ram for an Asham. 22 And the kohen shall make atonement for him with the ram of the Asham before יהוה for his sin which he has sinned; and he shall be forgiven for his sin which he has sinned'."
23 "'And when you shall come into the land, and shall have planted all manner of trees for food, then you shall count the fruit thereof as forbidden; three years shall it be as forbidden unto you; it shall not be eaten. 24 And in the fourth year all the fruit thereof shall be kadosh, for giving praise unto יהוה . But25 in the fifth year may you eat of the fruit thereof, that it may yield unto you more richly the increase thereof: I am יהוה your Elohim'."
26 "'You shall not eat with the blood; neither shall you practice divination nor soothsaying. 27 You shall not round the corners of your heads, neither shall you destroy the corners of your beard. 28 You shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor imprint any marks upon you: I am יהוה . Profane29 not your daughter, to make her a harlot, lest the land fall into harlotry, and the land become full of lewdness. 30 You shall keep My sabbaths, and reverence My sanctuary: I am יהוה . Turn31 not unto the ghosts, nor unto familiar spirits; seek them not out, to be defiled by them: I am יהוה your Elohim. 32 You shall rise up before the gray head, and honor the face of the elder, and you shall fear your Elohim: I am יהוה . And33 if a stranger sojourns with you in your land, you shall not do him wrong. 34 The stranger that sojourns with you shall be unto you as the home-born among you, and you shall love him as yourself; for you were strangers in the land of Mitzrayim: I am יהוה your Elohim'."
35 "'You shall do no unrighteousness in judgment, in balance, in weight, or in measure. 36 Just balances, just weights, a just efah, and a just hin, shall you have: I am יהוה your Elohim, who brought you out of the land of Mitzrayim. 37 And you shall observe all My Khukot, and all My Mishpatim, and do them: I am יהוה '."

VaYikra Chapter 20
1 And יהוה spoke unto Moshe, saying, 2 "Moreover, you shall say to B'nei Yisra'el, 'Whoever of B'nei Yisra'el, or of the strangers that sojourn in Yisra'el, that gives of his seed unto Molekh, he shall surely be put to death; the people of the land shall stone him with stones. 3 I also will set My face against that man, and will cut him off from among his people, because he has given of his seed unto Molekh, to defile My Mikdash, and to profane My Kadosh Name. 4 And if the people of the land do at all hide their eyes from that man, when he gives of his seed unto Molekh, and put him not to death, 5 then I will set My face against that man, and against his family, and will cut him off, and all that go astray after him, to go astray after Molekh, from among their people. 6 And the soul that turns unto the ghosts, and unto the familiar spirits, to go astray after them, I will even set My face against that soul, and will cut him off from among his people'."
7 "'Consecrate yourselves therefore, and be kadosh; for I am יהוה your Elohim. 8 And keep My Khukot, and do them: I am יהוה who consecrates you. 9 For whatever man there is that curses his father or his mother shall surely be put to death; he has cursed his father or his mother; his blood shall be upon him. 10 And the man that commits adultery with another man's wife, even he that commits adultery with his neighbor's wife, both the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death. 11 And the man that lies with his father's wife, he has uncovered his father's nakedness, both of them shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them. 12 And if a man lies with his daughter-in-law, both of them shall surely be put to death; they have wrought corruption; their blood shall be upon them. 13 And if a man lies with mankind, as with womankind, both of them have committed abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them. 14 And if a man takes with his wife also her mother, it is wickedness: they shall be burnt with fire, both he and they; that there be no wickedness among you. 15 And if a man lies with a beast, he shall surely be put to death; and you shall slay the beast'."
16 "'And if a woman approaches unto any beast, and lies down therewith, you shall kill the woman, and the beast: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them. 17 And if a man shall take his sister, his father's daughter, or his mother's daughter, and see her nakedness, and she see his nakedness: it is a shameful thing; and they shall be cut off in the sight of the children of their people: he has uncovered his sister's nakedness; he shall bear his iniquity. 18 And if a man shall lie with a woman having her sickness, and shall uncover her nakedness, he has made naked her fountain, and she has uncovered the fountain of her blood, both of them shall be cut off from among their people. 19 And you shall not uncover the nakedness of your mother's sister, nor of your father's sister; for he has made naked his near kin; they shall bear their iniquity. 20 And if a man shall lie with his uncle's wife, he has uncovered his uncle's nakedness, they shall bear their sin; they shall die childless. 21 And if a man shall take his brother's wife, it is impurity: he has uncovered his brother's nakedness; they shall be childless. 22 You shall therefore keep all My Khukot, and all My Mishpatim, and do them, that the land, where I bring you to dwell therein, vomits you not out. 23 And you shall not walk in the customs of the nation which I am casting out before you; for they did all these things, and therefore I abhorred them. 24 But I have said unto you, "You shall inherit their land, and I will give it unto you to possess it, a land flowing with milk and honey.' I am יהוה your Elohim, who has set you apart from the peoples. 25 You shall therefore separate between the clean beast and the unclean, and between the unclean fowl and the clean; and you shall not make your souls detestable by beast, or by fowl, or by any thing wherewith the ground teems, which I have consecrated for you to hold unclean. 26 And you shall be kadosh unto Me; for I, יהוה , am kadosh, and have set you apart from the peoples, that you should be Mine. 27 A man also or a woman that divines by a ghost or a familiar spirit, shall surely be put to death; they shall stone them with stones; their blood shall be upon them'."

HAFTARAH

Yekhezkel Chapter 22
1 Moreover, the D'var יהוה came unto me, saying, 2 "Now, you, Ben Adam, will you judge, will you judge the bloody city? Then cause her to know all her abominations. 3 And you shall say, 'Thus says Adonai יהוה , 'O city that sheds blood in the midst of you, that your time may come, and that makes idols unto yourself to defile you; 4 you are become guilty in your blood that you have shed, and are defiled in your idols which you have made; and you have caused your days to draw near, and are come even unto your years; therefore have I made you a reproach unto the nations, and a mocking to all the countries! 5 Those that are near, and those that are far from you, shall mock you, you defiled of name and full of tumult. 6 Behold, the princes of Yisra'el, every one according to his might, have been in you to shed blood. 7 In you have they made light of father and mother; in the midst of you have they dealt by oppression with the stranger; in you have they wronged the fatherless and the widow. 8 You have despised My consecrated things, and have profaned My Sabbaths. 9 In you have been talebearers to shed blood; and in you they have eaten upon the mountains; in the midst of you they have committed lewdness. 10 In you have they uncovered their fathers' nakedness; in you have they humbled her that was unclean in her impurity. 11 And each has committed abomination with his neighbour’s wife; and each has lewdly defiled his daughter-in-law; and each in you has humbled his sister, his father’s daughter. 12 In you have they taken gifts to shed blood; you have taken interest and increase, and you have greedily gained of your neighbors by oppression, and have forgotten Me, says Adonai יהוה . Behold 13, therefore, I have smitten My hand at your dishonest gain which you have made, and at your blood which has been in the midst of you. 14 Can your heart endure, or can your hands be strong, in the days that I shall deal with you? I, יהוה , have spoken it, and will do it. 15 And I will scatter you among the nations, and disperse you through the countries; and I will consume your filthiness out of you. 16 And you shall be profaned in yourself, in the sight of the nations; and you shall know that I am יהוה '.'"
17 And the D'var יהוה came unto me, saying, 18 "Ben Adam, Beit Yisra'el is become dross unto Me; all of them are brass, and tin, and iron, and lead, in the midst of the furnace; they are the dross of silver. 19 Therefore, thus says Adonai יהוה , 'Because you are all become dross, therefore, behold, I will gather you into the midst of Yerushalayim.

Amos Chapter 9
7 Are you not as the children of the Kushi'im unto Me, O B'nei Yisra'el, says יהוה . Have not I brought up Yisra'el out of the land of Mitzrayim, and the P'lishtim from Kaftor, and Aram from Kir? 8 Behold, the eyes of Adonai יהוה are upon the sinful kingdom, and I will destroy it from off the face of the earth; saving that I will not utterly destroy Beit Ya'akov, says יהוה . For 9 , lo, I will command, and I will sift Beit Yisra'el among all the nations, like as grain is sifted in a sieve, yet shall not the least grain fall upon the earth. 10 All the sinners of My people shall die by the sword, that say, 'The evil shall not overtake nor confront us.' 11 In that day will I raise up the Sukka of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof, and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old; 12 that they may possess the remnant of Edom, and all the nations, upon whom My Name is called, says יהוה that does this."
13 "Behold, the days come, says יהוה , that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him that sows seed; and the mountains shall drop sweet wine, and all the hills shall melt. 14 And I will turn the captivity of My people Yisra'el, and they shall build the waste cities, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and drink the wine thereof; they shall also make gardens, and eat the fruit of them. 15 And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be plucked up out of their land which I have given them, says יהוה your Elohim."

KETUVIM

Tehillah (Psalm) 15
1 A Mizmor of David. יהוה , who shall sojourn in Your tent? Who shall dwell upon
Your Har Kodesh?
2 He that walks uprightly, and works righteously, and speaks truth in his heart;
3 That has no slander upon his tongue, nor does evil to his fellow, nor takes up a
reproach against his neighbor;
4 In whose eyes a vile person is despised, but he honors them that fear יהוה ; he that
swears to his own hurt, and changes not;
5 He that puts not out his money on interest, nor takes a bribe against the innocent. He
that does these things shall never be moved.

BRIT HAKHADASHAH

Yokhanan Chapter 8
1 Then Yeshua went to Har HaZetim. 2 And in the morning He came again to the Heikhal, and all the people were coming to Him; and He sat down and taught them. 3 Then the Sofrim and the P'rushim brought a woman who was caught in adultery; and they made her to stand in the midst. 4 They said to Him, “Teacher, this woman was caught openly in the act of adultery. 5 Now in the Torah of Moshe it is commanded that women such as these should be stoned; but what do you say?” 6 They said this to test Him, that they might have a cause to accuse Him. While Yeshua was bent down, He was writing on the ground. 7 When they were through questioning Him, He straightened himself up and said to them, “He who is among you who is without sin, let him first throw a stone at her.” 8 And again as He bent down, He wrote on the ground. 9 And when they heard it, they left one by one, beginning with the elders; and the woman was left alone in the midst. 10 When Yeshua straightened Himself up, He said to the woman, “Where are they? Did no man condemn you?” 11 She said, “No man, Adon.” Then Yeshua said, “Neither do I condemn you; go away, and from henceforth, do not sin again.”
12 Again Yeshua spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world; he who follows me shall not walk in darkness, but He shall find for himself the light of life.” 13 The P'rushim said to Him, “You testify concerning yourself; your testimony is not true.” 14 Yeshua answered, saying to them, “Even though I testify concerning myself, my testimony is true, because I know from where I came and where I go; but you do not know from where I came or where I go. 15 You judge according to the flesh; but I judge no man. 16 And if I should judge, my judgment is true; because I am not doing it alone, but I and Avi who sent me. 17 And it is written in your own Torah that the testimony of two men is true. 18 I testify concerning myself, and Avi who sent me testifies concerning me.” 19 They said to Him, “Where is Avikha?” Yeshua answered, saying to them, “You know neither me nor Avi; if you knew me, you would know Avi also.” 20 These words He spoke in the treasury while He taught in the Heikhal; and no man arrested Him, for His time had not yet come.
21 Yeshua again said to them, “I am going away, and you will seek me, and you will die in your sins; and where I am going you cannot come.” 22 The Y'hudim said, “What, will He kill himself? For He says, ‘Where I am going, you cannot come.'” 23 And He said to them, “You are from below, and I am from above; you are of this world, but I am not of this world. 24 I told you that you will die in your sins; for unless you trust that I am He, you will die in your sins.” 25 The Y'hudim said, “Who are you?” Yeshua said to them, “Even though I should begin to speak to you, 26 I have many things to say and to judge concerning you; but He who sent me is true; and I speak in the world only those things which I have heard from Him.” 27 They did not understand that He spoke to them concerning HaAv. 28 Again Yeshua said to them, “When you have lifted up Ben HaAdam, then you will understand that I am He, and I do nothing of my own accord; but as Avi has taught me, so I speak just as He. 29 And He who sent me is with me; and Avi has never left me alone, because I always do what pleases Him.” 30 While He was speaking these words, a great many trusted in Him.
31 Then Yeshua said to the Yehudim who trusted in Him, “If you abide by my word, you are truly my Talmidim. 32 And you will know the truth, and that very truth will make you free.” 33 They said to Him, “We are the offspring of Avraham, and we have never been enslaved to any man; how do you say, ‘You will be free people?'” 34 Yeshua said to them, “Amein, Amein, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a servant of sin. 35 And a servant does not remain in the house forever, but the son remains forever. 36 If therefore HaBen shall make you free, you shall be free indeed. 37 I know you are the descendants of Avraham; but still you want to kill me, because you have no room in you for my word. 38 I speak what I have seen with Avi; and you do what you have seen with your father.”
39 They answered, saying to Him, “Our own father is Avraham.” Yeshua said to them, “If you were the sons of Avraham, you would be doing the works of Avraham. 40 But behold, now you want to kill me, even a man who has told you the truth which I heard from Elohim; this, Avraham did not do. 41 But you do the works of your father.” They said to him, “We are not born of fornication; we have one Father: Elohim.” 42 Yeshua said to them, “If Elohim were Avikhem, you would love me, for I proceeded forth and came out from Elohim; I did not come of my own accord, but He sent me. 43 Why therefore do you not understand my word, because you cannot obey my word? 44 You are from the father of accusation, and you want to do the lusts of your father, he who is a murderer of men from the very beginning and who never stands by the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks, he speaks his own lie, because he is a liar, and the father of lies. 45 But because I speak the truth, you do not believe me.”
46 “Which one of you can rebuke me because of sin? If I speak the truth, why do you not trust me? 47 He who is of Elohim hears the words of Elohim; for this reason you do not hear, because you are not of Elohim.” 48 The Y'hudim answered, saying to Him, “Did we not say well, that you are a Shomroni and that you have a demon?” 49 Yeshua said to them, “I have no demon; but I honor Avi, and you curse me. 50 I do not seek my glory; there is one who seeks and judges.”
51 “Amein, Amein, I say to you, whoever obeys my word shall never see Mavet.” 52 The Y'hudim said to Him, “Now we are sure that you have a demon. Avraham and the Nevi'im have died; and yet you say, ‘whoever obeys my word shall never taste death.' 53 What, are you greater than our father Avraham who died, and the Nevi'im who died? Whom do you make yourself to be?” 54 Yeshua said to them, “If I honor myself, my honor is nothing; but it is Avi who honors me, the one of whom you say, ‘He is our Elohim.' 55 Yet you have not known Him, but I know Him; and if I should say I do not know Him, I would be a liar like yourselves; but I do know Him, and I obey His D'var. 56 Your father Avraham rejoiced to see my day; and he saw it and was glad.” 57 The Y'hudim said to Him, “You are not yet fifty years old, and yet have you seen Avraham?” 58 Yeshua said to them, “Amein, Amein, I say to you, before Avraham was born, I am He.” 59 So they took up stones, to stone Him, and Yeshua hid Himself and went out of the Heikhal, and He passed through the midst of them and went away.

Yokhanan Chapter 9
1 And as Yeshua passed by, He saw a man who was blind from his mother’s womb. 2 And His Talmidim asked Him, saying, “Teacher, who did sin, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?” 3 Yeshua said to them, “Neither did he sin nor his parents, but that the works of Elohim might be seen in him. 4 I must do the works of Him who sent me while it is day; the night comes when no man can work. 5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” 6 When He said these words, He spat on the ground and mixed clay with His saliva, and He placed it on the eyes of the blind man. 7 Then He said to him, “Go and wash in the immersion pool of Shilo'akh.” He went and washed, and he came seeing.
8 His neighbors and those who had seen him before begging, said, “Is not this he who used to sit down and beg?” 9 Some said, “It is he;” and some said, “No, but he resembles him;” but he said, “I am he.” 10 Then they said to him, “How were your eyes opened?” 11 He answered, saying to them, “A man whose name is Yeshua made clay and placed it on my eyes, and He said to me, ‘Go and wash in the water of Shilo'akh;' and I went and washed, and I see.” 12 They said to him, “Where is he?” He said to them, “I do not know.”
13 So they brought to the P'rushim him who had been blind from his birth. 14 Now it was Shabbat when Yeshua made the clay and opened his eyes. 15 Again the P'rushim asked him, “How did you receive your sight?” He said to them, “He placed clay on my eyes, and I washed, and I see.” 16 Then some of the P'rushim said, “This man is not from Elohim, because He does not observe Shabbat;” others said, “How can a man who is a sinner do these miracles?” And there was a division among them. 17 They said to the blind man again, “What do you say concerning Him who opened your eyes?” He said to them, “I say He is a navi.” 18 But the Y'hudim did not believe concerning him that he had been blind and had received his sight, until they called the parents of him who had received his sight. 19 And they asked them, “Is this your son who you say was born blind? How then does he now see?” 20 His parents answered, saying, “We know that he is our son and that he was born blind. 21 But how he sees now or who opened his eyes we do not know; he is of age, ask him, he will speak for himself.” 22 His parents said these things because they were afraid of the Y'hudim; for the Y'hudim had decided already that if any man should confess that He is the Mashi'akh, they would put him out of the Beit K'nesset. 23 For this reason his parents said, “He is of age, ask him.” 24 So they called a second time the man who had been blind, and said to him, “Give praise to Elohim, for we know that this man is a sinner.” 25 He answered, saying to them, “If he is a sinner I do not know; but I do know one thing, that I was blind, and now, behold, I see.” 26 They said to him again, “What did He do to you? How did he open your eyes?” 27 He said to them, “I have already told you, and you did not listen; why do you want to hear it again? What, do you also want to become His Talmidim?” 28 Then they cursed him and said to him, “You are His talmid, but we are Talmidim of Moshe. 29 And we know that Elohim spoke with Moshe; but as for this man, we do not know where He is from.” 30 The man answered, saying to them, “This is surprising that you do not know where He is from, and yet He opened my eyes. 31 We know that Elohim does not hear the voice of sinners; but he hears the one who reveres Him and does His will. 32 From ages past it has never been heard that a man opened the eyes of one who was born blind. 33 If this man were not from Elohim, He could not have done this.” 34 They answered, saying to him, “You were wholly born in sins, and yet do you teach us?” And they cast him out.
35 And Yeshua heard that they had cast him out; and He found him and said to him, “Do you trust in Ben HaElohim?” 36 He who was healed answered, saying, “Who is He, My Adon, so that I may trust in Him?” 37 Yeshua said to him, “You have seen Him, and He is the one who is speaking with you.” 38 He said, “I do trust, My Adon;” and he fell down and worshipped Him.
39 Then Yeshua said to him, “I have come for the judgment of this world, so that those who cannot see may see, and those who see may become blind.” 40 When some of the P'rushim who were with Him heard these words, they said to Him, “What, are we also blind?” 41 Yeshua said to them, “If you were blind, you would have no sin; but now you say, ‘We see;' because of this your sin remains.”

Yokhanan Chapter 10
1 “Amein, Amein, I say to you, he who does not enter by the gate into the sheepfold, but climbs up from another place, is a thief and a bandit. 2 But he who enters by the gate is the shepherd of the sheep. 3 To this man the gatekeeper opens the gate, and the sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by their names and brings them out. 4 And when he has brought out his sheep, he goes before them; and his own sheep follow him, because they know his voice. 5 The sheep do not follow a stranger, but they run away from him, because they do not know the voice of a stranger.” 6 Yeshua spoke this mashal to them; but they did not understand what He was telling them. 7 Yeshua said to them again, “Amein, Amein, I say to you, I am the gate of the sheep. 8 All who have come are thieves and bandits, if the sheep did not hear them. 9 I am the gate; if any man enters My Way, he shall live, and he shall come in and go out and find pasture. 10 A thief does not come, except to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that you might have life, and have it abundantly. 11 I am the good shepherd; a good shepherd risks his life for the sake of his sheep. 12 But the hired person who is not the shepherd and who is not the owner of the sheep, when he sees the wolf coming, leaves the sheep and runs away; and the wolf comes and seizes and scatters the sheep. 13 The hired person runs away because he is hired and does not care for the sheep. 14 I am the good shepherd, and I know my own, and my own know me. 15 Just as Avi knows me, I also know Avi; and I lay down my life for the sake of the sheep. 16 I have other sheep also, which are not of this fold; them too I must bring, and they will hear my voice; and all the sheep will become one flock with one shepherd. 17 This is why Avi loves me, because I lay down my life so that I may take it up again. 18 No man takes it away from me, but I lay it down of my own will. Therefore I have the power to lay it down, and I have the power to take it up again. This command I received from Avi.”
19 There was again a division among the Yehudim because of these sayings. 20 And many of them said, “He is insane and rambles; why do you listen to Him?” 21 Others said, “These are not the words of a crazy man. Can a crazy man open the eyes of the blind?”

Ma'asei HaShlikhim Chapter 15
1 And certain men who had come down from Y'hudah taught the brethren, “Unless you are circumcised in accordance with the Torah, you cannot be saved.” 2 And there was great dissension and controversy between them and Pavlos and Bar-Naba, and it reached such a point that it was necessary for Pavlos and Bar-Naba and others with them to go up to Yerushalayim to the Shlikhim and elders concerning this question. 3 They were given an escort and sent on their way by the congregation, and they traveled through all Fenikiya and the territory of the Shomronim, declaring the reconciliation of the Goyim; and they caused great joy to all the brethren. 4 On their arrival at Yerushalayim, they were received by the congregation, and by the Shlikhim and elders; and they reported everything that Elohim had done with them. 5 But some of the men who trusted who were from the sect of the P'rushim rose up and said, “You must circumcise them and command them to keep the Torah of Moshe.”
6 Then the Shlikhim and elders assembled to consider this matter. 7 And after much controversy, Shimon Kefa rose up and said to them, “Men and brethren, you know that from the early days Elohim chose that from my mouth the Goyim should hear the word of HaB'sorah, and Emunah. 8 And Elohim, who knows what is in the heart, has testified concerning them, and has given them The Ru'akh HaKodesh just as He did to us. 9 And He did not discriminate between us and them, because He purified their hearts by absolute trust. 10 Now, therefore, why do you tempt Elohim by putting a yoke upon the necks of the talmidim which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear? 11 But we trust that through the compassion of Adoneinu Yeshua HaMashi'akh we shall be saved even as they.” 12 Then the whole congregation was silent and listened to Pavlos and Bar-Naba, who were declaring the miracles and signs among the Goyim and everything which Elohim had wrought by their hands.
13 And when they had ceased speaking, Ya'akov rose up and said, “Men and brethren, hear me: 14 Shimon Kefa has told you how Elohim, from the beginning, chose a people from the Goyim for His Name. 15 And with this the words of the Nevi'im agree, as it is written, 16 ‘After this I will return, and I will set up again the Sukka of David which has fallen down; and I will repair what has fallen from it, and I will set it up, 17 so that the men who remain may seek after יהוה , and also all the Goyim upon whom My Name is called; so said יהוה , who does all these things.' 18 The works of Elohim are known from the very beginning. 19 Because of this, I say do not trouble those who turn to Elohim from among the Goyim. 20 But let us send word to them that they abstain from defilement by sacrifices to idols, and from fornication, and from creatures strangled, and from blood. 21 For Moshe, since early generations, has those who declare him in the Beit K'nessets in every city who read him on every Yom Shabbat.”
