BaMidbar Chapter 19
1 And יהוה spoke unto Moshe and unto Aharon, saying, 2 "This is the statute of the Torah which יהוה has commanded, saying, 'Speak unto B'nei Yisra'el, that they bring you a red heifer, faultless, wherein is no blemish, and upon which never came a yoke. 3 And you shall give her unto El-Azar the kohen, and she shall be brought forth without the camp, and she shall be slain before his face. 4 And El-Azar the kohen shall take of her blood with his finger, and sprinkle of her blood toward the front of the Ohel Mo'ed seven times. 5 And the heifer shall be burnt in his sight; her skin, and her flesh, and her blood, with her dung, shall be burnt. 6 And the kohen shall take cedar-wood, and hyssop, and scarlet, and cast it into the midst of the burning of the heifer. 7 Then the kohen shall wash his clothes, and he shall bathe his flesh in water, and afterward he may come into the camp, and the kohen shall be unclean until evening. 8 And he that burns her shall wash his clothes in water, and bathe his flesh in water, and shall be unclean until evening. 9 And a man that is clean shall gather up the ashes of the heifer, and lay them up without the camp in a clean place, and it shall be kept for the assembly of B'nei Yisra'el for a water of sprinkling; it is a purification from sin. 10 And he that gathers the ashes of the heifer shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until evening; and it shall be unto B'nei Yisra'el, and unto the stranger that sojourns among them, for a statute forever. 11 He that touches the dead, even any man’s dead body, shall be unclean seven days; 12 the same shall purify himself therewith on the third day and on the seventh day, and he shall be clean; but if he purifies not himself the third day and the seventh day, he shall not be clean. 13 Whoever touches the dead, even the body of any man that is dead, and purifies not himself, he has defiled the Mishkan of יהוה , that soul shall be cut off from Yisra'el; because the water of sprinkling was not dashed against him, he shall be unclean; his uncleanness is yet upon him.'
14 'This is the instruction: when a man dies in a tent, every one that comes into the tent, and every thing that is in the tent, shall be unclean seven days. 15 And every open vessel, which has no covering close-bound upon it, is unclean. 16 And whoever in the open field touches one that is slain with a sword, or one that dies of himself, or a bone of a man, or a grave, shall be unclean seven days. 17 And for the unclean they shall take of the ashes of the burning of the purification from sin, and running water shall be put thereto in a vessel. 18 And a clean person shall take hyssop, and dip it in the water, and sprinkle it upon the tent, and upon all the vessels, and upon the persons that were there, and upon him that touched the bone, or the slain, or the dead, or the grave. 19 And the clean person shall sprinkle upon the unclean on the third day, and on the seventh day; and on the seventh day he shall purify him; and he shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and shall be clean at the evening. 20 But the man that shall be unclean, and shall not purify himself, that soul shall be cut off from the midst of the congregation, because he has defiled the Mikdash of יהוה ; the water of sprinkling has not been dashed against him: he is unclean. 21 And it shall be a perpetual statute unto them; and he that sprinkles the water of sprinkling shall wash his clothes; and he that touches the water of sprinkling shall be unclean until evening. 22 And whatever the unclean person touches shall be unclean; and the soul that touches him shall be unclean until evening'."

BaMidbar Chapter 20
1 And B'nei Yisra'el, even the whole assembly, came into the wilderness of Tzin in the first khodesh; and the people abode in Kadesh; and Miryam died there, and was buried there. 2 And there was no water for the assembly; and they assembled themselves together against Moshe and against Aharon. 3 And the people strove with Moshe, and spoke, saying, "Would that we had perished when our brethren perished before יהוה ! And 4 why have you brought the congregation of יהוה into this wilderness, to die there, we and our cattle? 5 And why have you made us to come up out of Mitzrayim, to bring us in unto this evil place? It is no place of seed, or of figs, or of vines, or of pomegranates; neither is there any water to drink." 6 And Moshe and Aharon went from the presence of the congregation unto the door of the Ohel Mo'ed, and fell upon their faces; and the K'vod יהוה appeared unto them.
7 And יהוה spoke unto Moshe, saying, 8 "Take the rod, and congregate the assembly, you, and Aharon your brother, and speak unto the rock before their eyes, that it give forth its water; and you shall bring forth to them water out of the rock; so you shall give the assembly and their cattle drink."
9 And Moshe took the rod from before יהוה , as He commanded him. 10 And Moshe and Aharon gathered the assembly together before the rock, and he said unto them, "Hear now, you rebels; are we to bring you forth water out of this rock?" 11 And Moshe lifted up his hand, and smote the rock with his rod, twice; and water came forth abundantly, and the assembly drank, and their cattle.
12 And יהוה said unto Moshe and Aharon, "Because you did not trust in Me, to set Me apart in the eyes of B'nei Yisra'el, therefore you shall not bring this congregation into the land which I have given them."
13 These are the waters of Meribah, where B'nei Yisra'el strove with יהוה , and He was consecrated in them.
14 And Moshe sent messengers from Kadesh unto the king of Edom, "Thus said your brother Yisra'el, 'You know all the travail that has befallen us; 15 how our fathers went down into Mitzrayim, and we dwelt in Mitzrayim a long time; and Mitzrayim dealt ill with us, and our fathers; 16 and when we cried unto יהוה , He heard our voice, and sent a Malakh, and brought us forth out of Mitzrayim; and, behold, we are in Kadesh, a city in the uttermost of your border. 17 Let us pass, I pray, through your land; we will not pass through field or through vineyard, neither will we drink of the water of the wells; we will go along the highway of HaMelekh, we will not turn aside to the right hand nor to the left, until we have passed your border."
18 And Edom said unto him, "You shall not pass through me, lest I come out with the sword against you." 19 And B'nei Yisra'el said unto him, "We will go up by the highway; and if we drink of your water, I and my cattle, then will I give the price thereof; let me only pass through on my feet; there is no hurt." 20 And he said, "You shall not pass through." And Edom came out against him with much people, and with a strong hand. 21 Thus Edom refused to give Yisra'el passage through his border; therefore Yisra'el turned away from him. 22 And they journeyed from Kadesh; and B'nei Yisra'el, even the whole assembly, came unto Hor HaHar. 23 And יהוה spoke unto Moshe and Aharon in Hor HaHar, by the border of the land of Edom, saying, 24 "Aharon shall be gathered unto his people; for he shall not enter into the land which I have given unto B'nei Yisra'el, because you rebelled against My word at the waters of Meribah. 25 Take Aharon and El-Azar his son, and bring them up unto Hor HaHar. 26 And strip Aharon of his garments, and put them upon El-Azar his son; and Aharon shall be gathered unto his people, and shall die there." 27 And Moshe did as יהוה commanded; and they went up into Hor HaHar in the sight of all the assembly. 28 And Moshe stripped Aharon of his garments, and put them upon El-Azar his son; and Aharon died there in the top of the mount; and Moshe and El-Azar came down from the mount. 29 And when all the assembly saw that Aharon was dead, they wept for Aharon thirty days, even all the house of Yisra'el.

BaMidbar Chapter 21
1 And the Kena'ani, the king of Arad, who dwelt in the South, heard tell that Yisra'el came by the way of Atarim; and he fought against Yisra'el, and took some of them captive. 2 And Yisra'el vowed a vow unto יהוה , and said, "If You will indeed deliver this people into my hand, then I will utterly destroy their cities." 3 And יהוה hearkened to the voice of Yisra'el, and delivered up the Kena'ani; and they utterly destroyed them and their cities; and the name of the place was called Kharmah.
4 And they journeyed from Hor HaHar by the way to Yam Suf, to encompass the land of Edom; and the soul of the people became impatient in the way. 5 And the people spoke against Elohim, and against Moshe, "Why have you brought us up out of Mitzrayim to die in the wilderness? For there is no bread, and there is no water; and our soul loathes this worthless bread." 6 And יהוה sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and many people of Yisra'el died. 7 And the people came to Moshe and said, "We have sinned, because we have spoken against יהוה , and against you; pray unto יהוה , that He takes away the serpents from us." And Moshe prayed for the people. 8 And יהוה said unto Moshe, "Make a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole; and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he sees it, shall live." 9 And Moshe made a serpent of brass, and set it upon the pole; and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he looked unto the serpent of brass, he lived.
10 And B'nei Yisra'el journeyed, and pitched in Ovot. 11 And they journeyed from Ovot, and pitched at Iyeh-HaAvarim, in the wilderness which is in front of Mo'av, toward the sun-rising. 12 From there they journeyed, and pitched in the valley of Zared. 13 From there they journeyed, and pitched on the other side of the Arnon, which is in the wilderness, that comes out of the border of the Amori. For Arnon is the border of Mo'av, between Mo'av and the Amori; 14 therefore it is said in the Sefer of the Wars of יהוה , 'Vaheb in Sufah, and the valleys of Arnon, 15 and the slope of the valleys that incline toward the seat of Ar, and lean upon the border of Mo'av.' 16 And from there to Be'er; that is the well whereof יהוה said unto Moshe, "Gather the people together, and I will give them water."
17 Then sang Yisra'el this song, "Spring up, O well! Sing unto it! 18 The well, which the princes digged, which the nobles of the people delved, with the scepter, and with their staves." And from the wilderness to Matanah; 19 and from Matanah to Nahali'el; and from Nahali'el to Bamot; 20 and from Bamot to the valley that is in the field of Mo'av, by the top of Pisgah, which looks down upon the desert.
21 And Yisra'el sent messengers unto Sikhon king of the Amori, saying, 22 "Let me pass through your land; we will not turn aside into field, or into vineyard; we will not drink of the water of the wells; we will go by the highway of HaMelekh, until we have passed your border." 23 And Sikhon would not suffer Yisra'el to pass through his border; but Sikhon gathered all his people together, and went out against Yisra'el into the wilderness, and came to Yatzah; and he fought against Yisra'el. 24 And Yisra'el smote him with the edge of the sword, and possessed his land from the Arnon unto the Yabok, even unto the children of Amon; for the border of the children of Amon was strong.
25 And Yisra'el took all these cities; and Yisra'el dwelt in all the cities of the Amori, in Kheshbon, and in all the towns thereof. 26 For Kheshbon was the city of Sikhon the king of the Amori, who had fought against the former king of Mo'av, and taken all his land out of his hand, even unto the Arnon. 27 Therefore they that speak in mishlim say, "Come you to Kheshbon! Let the city of Sikhon be built and established! 28 For a fire is gone out of Kheshbon, a flame from the city of Sikhon; it has devoured Ar of Mo'av, Ba’alim of the high places of Arnon. 29 Woe to you, Mo'av! You are undone, O people of Kemosh; he has given his sons as fugitives, and his daughters into captivity, unto Sikhon king of the Amori. 30 We have shot at them, Kheshbon is perished, even unto Divon, and we have laid waste even unto Nofakh, which reaches unto Medeva."
31 Thus Yisra'el dwelt in the land of the Amori. 32 And Moshe sent to spy out Yazir, and they took the towns thereof, and drove out the Amori that were there. 33 And they turned and went up by the way of Bashan; and Og the king of Bashan went out against them, he and all his people, to battle at Edrei. 34 And יהוה said unto Moshe, "Fear him not; for I have delivered him into your hand, and all his people, and his land; and you shall do to him as you did unto Sikhon king of the Amori, who dwelt at Kheshbon." 35 So they smote him, and his sons, and all his people, until there was none left him remaining; and they possessed his land.

HAFTARAH

Shoftim Chapter 11
1 Now Yiftakh the Giladi was a mighty man of valor, and he was the son of a harlot; and Gilad begot Yiftakh. 2 And Gilad’s wife bore him sons; and when his wife’s sons grew up, they drove out Yiftakh, and said unto him, "You shall not inherit in our father’s house; for you are the son of another woman." 3 Then Yiftakh fled from his brethren, and dwelt in the land of Tov; and there were gathered base fellows to Yiftakh, and they went out with him.
4 And it came to pass after a while, that the children of Amon made war against Yisra'el. 5 And it was so, that when the children of Amon made war against Yisra'el, the elders of Gilad went to fetch Yiftakh out of the land of Tov. 6 And they said unto Yiftakh, "Come and be our chief, that we may fight with the children of Amon." 7 And Yiftakh said unto the elders of Gilad, "Did you not hate me, and drive me out of my father’s house? And why are you come unto me now when you are in distress?" 8 And the elders of Gilad said unto Yiftakh, "It is so, we have returned to you now, that you may go with us, and fight with the children of Amon, and you shall be our head over all the inhabitants of Gilad." 9 And Yiftakh said unto the elders of Gilad, "If you bring me back home to fight with the children of Amon, and יהוה delivers them before me, I will be your head." 10 And the elders of Gilad said unto Yiftakh, " יהוה shall be witness between us; surely according to your word, so will we do." 11 Then Yiftakh went with the elders of Gilad, and the people made him head and chief over them; and Yiftakh spoke all his words before יהוה in Mitzpah.
12 And Yiftakh sent messengers unto the king of the children of Amon, saying, "What have you to do with me, that you are come unto me to fight against my land?" 13 And the king of the children of Amon answered unto the messengers of Yiftakh, "Because Yisra'el took away my land, when he came up out of Mitzrayim, from the Arnon even unto the Yabok, and unto the Yarden; now therefore restore those cities peaceably." 14 And Yiftakh sent messengers again unto the king of the children of Amon; 15 and he said unto him, "Thus says Yiftakh, 'Yisra'el took not away the land of Mo'av, nor the land of the children of Amon. 16 But when they came up from Mitzrayim, and Yisra'el walked through the wilderness unto Yam Suf, and came to Kadesh; 17 then Yisra'el sent messengers unto the king of Edom, saying, 'Let me, I pray, pass through your land;' but the king of Edom hearkened not. And in like manner he sent unto the king of Mo'av; but he would not; and Yisra'el abode in Kadesh. 18 Then he walked through the wilderness, and encompassed the land of Edom, and the land of Mo'av, and came by the east side of the land of Mo'av, and they pitched on the other side of the Arnon; but they came not within the border of Mo'av, for the Arnon was the border of Mo'av. 19 And Yisra'el sent messengers unto Sikhon king of the Amori, the king of Kheshbon; and Yisra'el said unto him, 'Let us pass, we pray, through your land unto my place.' 20 But Sikhon trusted not Yisra'el to pass through his border; but Sikhon gathered all his people together, and pitched in Yatzah, and fought against Yisra'el. 21 And יהוה Elohei Yisra'el delivered Sikhon and all his people into the hand of Yisra'el, and they smote them; so Yisra'el possessed all the land of the Amori, the inhabitants of that country. 22 And they possessed all the border of the Amori, from the Arnon even unto the Yabok, and from the wilderness even unto the Yarden. 23 So now יהוה Elohei Yisra'el has dispossessed the Amori from before His people Yisra'el, and should you possess them? 24 Will you not possess that which Kemosh your god gives you to possess? So whoever יהוה our Elohim has dispossessed from before us, them will we possess. 25 And now are you any thing better than Balak the son of Tzipor, king of Mo'av? Did he ever strive against Yisra'el, or did he ever fight against them? 26 While Yisra'el dwelt in Kheshbon and its towns, and in Aro'er and its towns, and in all the cities that are along by the side of the Arnon, three hundred years; why did you not recover them within that time? 27 I therefore have not sinned against you, but you do me wrong to war against me; יהוה HaShofet be judge this day between B'nei Yisra'el and the children of Amon'." 28 But the king of the children of Amon hearkened not unto the words of Yiftakh which he sent him.
29 Then the Ru'akh of יהוה came upon Yiftakh, and he passed over Gilad and Menasheh, and passed over Mitzpah of Gilad, and from Mitzpah of Gilad he passed over unto the children of Amon. 30 And Yiftakh vowed a vow unto יהוה , and said, "If You will indeed deliver the children of Amon into my hand, 31 then it shall be, that whatsoever comes forth of the doors of my house to meet me, when I return in shalom from the children of Amon, it shall be for יהוה , and I will offer it up for a burnt-offering."
32 So Yiftakh passed over unto the children of Amon to fight against them; and יהוה delivered them into his hand. 33 And he smote them from Aro'er until you come to Minit, even twenty cities, and unto Avel-Keramim, with a very great slaughter. So the children of Amon were subdued before B'nei Yisra'el.

KETUVIM

Tehillah (Psalm) 95
1 O come, let us sing unto יהוה ; let us shout for joy to the Rock of our Salvation. 2 Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving, let us shout for joy unto Him with songs. 3 For יהוה is El Gadol, and a great Melekh above all gods; 4 In whose hand are the depths of the earth; the heights of the mountains are His also. 5 The sea is His, and He made it; and His hands formed the dry land. 6 O come, let us bow down and bend the knee; let us kneel before יהוה our Maker; 7 For He is our Elohim, and we are the people of His pasture, and the flock of His hand. Today, if you would but hearken to His voice! 8 "Harden not your heart, as at Merivah, as in the day of Masah in the wilderness; 9 When your fathers tried Me, proved Me, even though they saw My work. 10 For forty years was I wearied with that generation, and said, "It is a people that do err in their heart, and they have not known My ways; 11 Therefore, I swore in My wrath, that they should not enter into My rest."

BRIT KHADASHAH

Yokhanan Chapter 3
9 Nak'dimon answered, saying to Him, “How can these things be?” 10 Yeshua answered, “You are a teacher of Yisra'el, and yet you do not understand these things? 11 Amein, amein, I say to you, we speak only what we know, and we testify only to what we have seen; and yet you do not accept our testimony. 12 If I have told you about earthly things and you do not trust, how then will you trust in me if I tell you about heavenly things? 13 No man has ascended to Heaven except Him who came down from Heaven, even Ben HaAdam who is in Heaven. 14 Just as Moshe lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so Ben HaAdam is ready to be lifted up, 15 so that every man who trusts in Him should not perish, but have Khayei Olam. 16 For Elohim so loved the world that He gave His Ben Yakhid, so that whoever firmly trusts in Him should not perish, but have Khayei Olam. 17 For Elohim did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world should live because of Him. 18 He who firmly trusts in Him will not be condemned; and he who does not firmly trust has already been condemned for not trusting in the Name of Ben HaElohim HaYakhid. 19 And this is the judgment: that light has come into the world, and yet men have loved darkness more than light, because their works were evil. 20 For everyone who does abominable things hates the light, and he does not come to the light, because his works cannot be covered. 21 But he who does HaEmet comes to the light, so that his works may be known, that they are done through Elohim.”

יט וְזֶהוּ הַדִּין, שֶׁהָאוֹר בָּא לָעוֹלָם וּבְנֵי הָאָדָם אָהֲבוּ אֶת הַחֹשֶׁךְ יוֹתֵר מִן הָאוֹר, כִּי מַעֲשֵׂיהֶם הָיוּ רָעִים;

Matti Chapter 21
1 When He came near to Yerushalayim, He came to Beit Pageh on the side of Har HaZetim. Yeshua then sent two of His Talmidim, 2 and He said to them, “Go to that village which is in front of you, and straightway you will find a donkey which is tied up, and a colt with her; untie them and bring them to me. 3 And if any man should say anything to you, tell him that Adoneinu needs them, and He will immediately send them here.” 4 All this happened so that what was said by the Navi might be fulfilled, who said, 5 “Tell Bat-Tzion, ‘Behold your king is coming to you, meek, and riding upon a donkey, and upon a colt, the foal of a donkey.'” 6 And the Talmidim went and did as Yeshua had commanded them. 7 And they brought the donkey and the colt, and they put their garments on the colt, and Yeshua rode on it. 8 And a great many people spread their garments on the road; and others cut down branches from the trees and spread them on the road. 9 And the people who were going before Him and coming after Him, were shouting and saying, “Hoshah Nah L'Ben David; Barukh HaBa B'Shem יהוה ; Hoshah Nah Bamromim.” 10 When He entered Yerushalayim, the whole city was stirred up, and they were saying, “Who is this man?” 11 And the people were saying, “This is the Navi, Yeshua, from Natzrat in the Galil.”
12 And Yeshua entered into the Heikhal of Elohim, and put out all who were buying and selling in the Heikhal, and He overturned the trays of the money-changers and the stands of those who sold doves. 13 And He said to them, “It is written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer;' but you have made it a bandits' cave.” 14 And in the Heikhal they brought to Him the blind and the lame, and He healed them. 15 But when the chief Kohanim and the P'rushim saw the wonders that He did, and the children who were crying aloud in the temple, and saying, “Hoshah Nah to Ben David,” they were displeased. 16 And they said to Him, “Do you hear what they are saying?” Yeshua said to them, “Yes; have you never read, ‘From the mouth of little children and of infants you made praise?'”
17 And He left them, and went outside of the city to Beit Anya, and He lodged there.
