B'reshit Chapter 6
9 These are the generations of No'akh. No'akh was in his generations a man righteous and whole-hearted; No'akh walked with Elohim. 10 And No'akh begot three sons, Shem, Kham, and Yafet. 11 And the earth was corrupt before Elohim, and the earth was filled with violence. 12 And Elohim saw the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted their way upon the earth. 13 And Elohim said unto No'akh, "The end of all flesh is come before Me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth. 14 Make yourself an ark of gopher wood; with rooms shall you make the ark, and shall pitch it within and without with pitch. 15 And this is how you shall make it: the length of the ark three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits. 16 A light shall you make to the ark, and to a cubit shall you finish it upward; and the door of the ark shall you set in the side thereof; with lower, second, and third stories shall you make it. 17 And I, behold, I do bring the flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; every thing that is in the earth shall perish. 18 But I will establish My Brit with you; and you shall come into the ark, you, and your sons, and your wife, and your sons’ wives with you. 19 And of every living thing of all flesh, two of every sort shall you bring into the ark, to keep them alive with you; they shall be male and female. 20 Of the fowl after their kind, and of the cattle after their kind, of every creeping thing of the ground after its kind, two of every sort shall come unto you, to keep them alive. 21 And take unto yourself of all food that is eaten, and gather it unto you; and it shall be for food for you, and for them." 22 Thus did No'akh; according to all that Elohim commanded him, so did he.

ט אֵלֶּה תּוֹלְדֹת נֹחַ נֹחַ אִישׁ צַדִּיק תָּמִים הָיָה בְּדֹרֹתָיו אֶת הָאֱלֹהִים הִתְהַלֶּךְ נֹחַ.
י וַיּוֹלֶד נֹחַ שְׁלֹשָׁה בָנִים אֶת שֵׁם אֶת חָם וְאֶת יָפֶת.
יא וַתִּשָּׁחֵת הָאָרֶץ לִפְנֵי הָאֱלֹהִים וַתִּמָּלֵא הָאָרֶץ חָמָס.
יב וַיַּרְא אֱלֹהִים אֶת הָאָרֶץ וְהִנֵּה נִשְׁחָתָה כִּי הִשְׁחִית כָּל בָּשָׂר אֶת דַּרְכּוֹ עַל הָאָרֶץ.
יג וַיֹּאמֶר אֱלֹהִים לְנֹחַ קֵץ כָּל בָּשָׂר בָּא לְפָנַי כִּי מָלְאָה הָאָרֶץ חָמָס מִפְּנֵיהֶם וְהִנְנִי מַשְׁחִיתָם אֶת הָאָרֶץ.
יד עֲשֵׂה לְךָ תֵּבַת עֲצֵי גֹפֶר קִנִּים תַּעֲשֶׂה אֶת הַתֵּבָה וְכָפַרְתָּ אֹתָהּ מִבַּיִת וּמִחוּץ בַּכֹּפֶר.
טו וְזֶה אֲשֶׁר תַּעֲשֶׂה אֹתָהּ שְׁלֹשׁ מֵאוֹת אַמָּה אֹרֶךְ הַתֵּבָה חֲמִשִּׁים אַמָּה רָחְבָּהּ וּשְׁלֹשִׁים אַמָּה קוֹמָתָהּ.
טז צֹהַר תַּעֲשֶׂה לַתֵּבָה וְאֶל אַמָּה תְּכַלֶּנָּה מִלְמַעְלָה וּפֶתַח הַתֵּבָה בְּצִדָּהּ תָּשִׂים תַּחְתִּיִּם שְׁנִיִּם וּשְׁלִשִׁים תַּעֲשֶׂהָ.
יז וַאֲנִי הִנְנִי מֵבִיא אֶת הַמַּבּוּל מַיִם עַל הָאָרֶץ לְשַׁחֵת כָּל בָּשָׂר אֲשֶׁר בּוֹ רוּחַ חַיִּים מִתַּחַת הַשָּׁמָיִם כֹּל אֲשֶׁר בָּאָרֶץ יִגְוָע.
יח וַהֲקִמֹתִי אֶת בְּרִיתִי אִתָּךְ וּבָאתָ אֶל הַתֵּבָה אַתָּה וּבָנֶיךָ וְאִשְׁתְּךָ וּנְשֵׁי בָנֶיךָ אִתָּךְ.
יט וּמִכָּל הָחַי מִכָּל בָּשָׂר שְׁנַיִם מִכֹּל תָּבִיא אֶל הַתֵּבָה לְהַחֲיֹת אִתָּךְ זָכָר וּנְקֵבָה יִהְיוּ.
כ מֵהָעוֹף לְמִינֵהוּ וּמִן הַבְּהֵמָה לְמִינָהּ מִכֹּל רֶמֶשׂ הָאֲדָמָה לְמִינֵהוּ שְׁנַיִם מִכֹּל יָבֹאוּ אֵלֶיךָ לְהַחֲיוֹת.
כא וְאַתָּה קַח לְךָ מִכָּל מַאֲכָל אֲשֶׁר יֵאָכֵל וְאָסַפְתָּ אֵלֶיךָ וְהָיָה לְךָ וְלָהֶם לְאָכְלָה.
כב וַיַּעַשׂ נֹחַ כְּכֹל אֲשֶׁר צִוָּה אֹתוֹ אֱלֹהִים כֵּן עָשָׂה.

B'reshit Chapter 7
1 And יהוה said unto No'akh, "Come, you and all your house into the ark; for you have I seen righteous before Me in this generation. 2 Of every clean beast you shall take to you seven and seven, each with his mate; and of the beasts that are not clean two, each with his mate; 3 of the fowl also of the air, seven and seven, male and female; to keep seed alive upon the face of all the earth. 4 For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living substance that I have made will I blot out from off the face of the earth."
5 And No'akh did according unto all that יהוה commanded him. 6 And No'akh was six hundred years old when the flood of waters was upon the earth. 7 And No'akh went in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons’ wives with him, into the ark, because of the waters of the flood. 8 Of clean beasts, and of beasts that are not clean, and of fowls, and of every thing that creeps upon the ground, 9 there went in two and two unto No'akh into the ark, male and female, as Elohim commanded No'akh. 10 And it came to pass after the seven days, that the waters of the flood were upon the earth.
11 In the six-hundredth year of the life of No'akh, in the second khodesh, on the seventeenth day of the khodesh, on the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened. 12 And the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights. 13 In the selfsame day entered No'akh, and Shem, and Kham, and Yafet, the sons of No'akh, and the wife of No'akh, and the three wives of his sons with them, into the ark; 14 they, and every beast after its kind, and all the cattle after their kind, and every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth after its kind, and every fowl after its kind, every bird of every sort. 15 And they went in unto No'akh into the ark, two and two of all flesh wherein is the breath of life. 16 And they that went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as Elohim commanded him; and יהוה shut him in.
17 And the flood was forty days upon the earth; and the waters increased, and bore up the ark, and it was lifted up above the earth. 18 And the waters prevailed, and increased greatly upon the earth; and the ark went upon the face of the waters. 19 And the waters prevailed exceedingly upon the earth; and all the high mountains that were under the whole heaven were covered. 20 Fifteen cubits upward did the waters prevail; and the mountains were covered. 21 And all flesh perished that moved upon the earth, both fowl, and cattle, and beast, and every swarming thing that swarms upon the earth, and every man; 22 all in whose nostrils was the breath of the spirit of life, whatever was in the dry land, died. 23 And He blotted out every living substance which was upon the face of the ground, both man, and cattle, and creeping thing, and fowl of the heaven; and they were blotted out from the earth; and No'akh only was left, and they that were with him in the ark. 24 And the waters prevailed upon the earth a hundred and fifty days.

א וַיֹּאמֶר יהוה לְנֹחַ בֹּא אַתָּה וְכָל בֵּיתְךָ אֶל הַתֵּבָה כִּי אֹתְךָ רָאִיתִי צַדִּיק לְפָנַי בַּדּוֹר הַזֶּה.
ב מִכֹּל הַבְּהֵמָה הַטְּהוֹרָה תִּקַּח לְךָ שִׁבְעָה שִׁבְעָה אִישׁ וְאִשְׁתּוֹ וּמִן הַבְּהֵמָה אֲשֶׁר לֹא טְהֹרָה הִוא שְׁנַיִם אִישׁ וְאִשְׁתּוֹ.
ג גַּם מֵעוֹף הַשָּׁמַיִם שִׁבְעָה שִׁבְעָה זָכָר וּנְקֵבָה לְחַיּוֹת זֶרַע עַל פְּנֵי כָל הָאָרֶץ.
ד כִּי לְיָמִים עוֹד שִׁבְעָה אָנֹכִי מַמְטִיר עַל הָאָרֶץ אַרְבָּעִים יוֹם וְאַרְבָּעִים לָיְלָה וּמָחִיתִי אֶת כָּל הַיְקוּם אֲשֶׁר עָשִׂיתִי מֵעַל פְּנֵי הָאֲדָמָה.
ה וַיַּעַשׂ נֹחַ כְּכֹל אֲשֶׁר צִוָּהוּ יהוה .
ו וְנֹחַ בֶּן שֵׁשׁ מֵאוֹת שָׁנָה וְהַמַּבּוּל הָיָה מַיִם עַל הָאָרֶץ.
ז וַיָּבֹא נֹחַ וּבָנָיו וְאִשְׁתּוֹ וּנְשֵׁי בָנָיו אִתּוֹ אֶל הַתֵּבָה מִפְּנֵי מֵי הַמַּבּוּל.
ח מִן הַבְּהֵמָה הַטְּהוֹרָה וּמִן הַבְּהֵמָה אֲשֶׁר אֵינֶנָּה טְהֹרָה וּמִן הָעוֹף וְכֹל אֲשֶׁר רֹמֵשׂ עַל הָאֲדָמָה.
ט שְׁנַיִם שְׁנַיִם בָּאוּ אֶל נֹחַ אֶל הַתֵּבָה זָכָר וּנְקֵבָה כַּאֲשֶׁר צִוָּה אֱלֹהִים אֶת נֹחַ.
י וַיְהִי לְשִׁבְעַת הַיָּמִים וּמֵי הַמַּבּוּל הָיוּ עַל הָאָרֶץ.
יא בִּשְׁנַת שֵׁשׁ מֵאוֹת שָׁנָה לְחַיֵּי נֹחַ בַּחֹדֶשׁ הַשֵּׁנִי בְּשִׁבְעָה עָשָׂר יוֹם לַחֹדֶשׁ בַּיּוֹם הַזֶּה נִבְקְעוּ כָּל מַעְיְנֹת תְּהוֹם רַבָּה וַאֲרֻבֹּת הַשָּׁמַיִם נִפְתָּחוּ.
יב וַיְהִי הַגֶּשֶׁם עַל הָאָרֶץ אַרְבָּעִים יוֹם וְאַרְבָּעִים לָיְלָה.
יג בְּעֶצֶם הַיּוֹם הַזֶּה בָּא נֹחַ וְשֵׁם וְחָם וָיֶפֶת בְּנֵי נֹחַ וְאֵשֶׁת נֹחַ וּשְׁלֹשֶׁת נְשֵׁי בָנָיו אִתָּם אֶל הַתֵּבָה.
יד הֵמָּה וְכָל הַחַיָּה לְמִינָהּ וְכָל הַבְּהֵמָה לְמִינָהּ וְכָל הָרֶמֶשׂ הָרֹמֵשׂ עַל הָאָרֶץ לְמִינֵהוּ וְכָל הָעוֹף לְמִינֵהוּ כֹּל צִפּוֹר כָּל כָּנָף.
טו וַיָּבֹאוּ אֶל נֹחַ אֶל הַתֵּבָה שְׁנַיִם שְׁנַיִם מִכָּל הַבָּשָׂר אֲשֶׁר בּוֹ רוּחַ חַיִּים.
טז וְהַבָּאִים זָכָר וּנְקֵבָה מִכָּל בָּשָׂר בָּאוּ כַּאֲשֶׁר צִוָּה אֹתוֹ אֱלֹהִים וַיִּסְגֹּר יהוה בַּעֲדוֹ.
יז וַיְהִי הַמַּבּוּל אַרְבָּעִים יוֹם עַל הָאָרֶץ וַיִּרְבּוּ הַמַּיִם וַיִּשְׂאוּ אֶת הַתֵּבָה וַתָּרָם מֵעַל הָאָרֶץ.
יח וַיִּגְבְּרוּ הַמַּיִם וַיִּרְבּוּ מְאֹד עַל הָאָרֶץ וַתֵּלֶךְ הַתֵּבָה עַל פְּנֵי הַמָּיִם.
יט וְהַמַּיִם גָּבְרוּ מְאֹד מְאֹד עַל הָאָרֶץ וַיְכֻסּוּ כָּל הֶהָרִים הַגְּבֹהִים אֲשֶׁר תַּחַת כָּל הַשָּׁמָיִם.
כ חֲמֵשׁ עֶשְׂרֵה אַמָּה מִלְמַעְלָה גָּבְרוּ הַמָּיִם וַיְכֻסּוּ הֶהָרִים.
כא וַיִּגְוַע כָּל בָּשָׂר הָרֹמֵשׂ עַל הָאָרֶץ בָּעוֹף וּבַבְּהֵמָה וּבַחַיָּה וּבְכָל הַשֶּׁרֶץ הַשֹּׁרֵץ עַל הָאָרֶץ וְכֹל הָאָדָם.
כב כֹּל אֲשֶׁר נִשְׁמַת רוּחַ חַיִּים בְּאַפָּיו מִכֹּל אֲשֶׁר בֶּחָרָבָה מֵתוּ.
כג וַיִּמַח אֶת כָּל הַיְקוּם אֲשֶׁר עַל פְּנֵי הָאֲדָמָה מֵאָדָם עַד בְּהֵמָה עַד רֶמֶשׂ וְעַד עוֹף הַשָּׁמַיִם וַיִּמָּחוּ מִן הָאָרֶץ וַיִּשָּׁאֶר אַךְ נֹחַ וַאֲשֶׁר אִתּוֹ בַּתֵּבָה.
כד וַיִּגְבְּרוּ הַמַּיִם עַל הָאָרֶץ חֲמִשִּׁים וּמְאַת יוֹם.

B'reshit Chapter 8
1 And Elohim remembered No'akh, and every living thing, and all the cattle that were with him in the ark; and Elohim made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters assuaged; 2 the fountains also of the deep and the windows of heaven were stopped, and the rain from heaven was restrained. 3 And the waters returned from off the earth continually; and after the end of a hundred and fifty days the waters decreased. 4 And the ark rested in the seventh khodesh, on the seventeenth day of the khodesh, upon the mountains of Ararat. 5 And the waters decreased continually until the tenth khodesh; in the tenth khodesh, on the first day of the khodesh, were the tops of the mountains seen. 6 And it came to pass at the end of forty days, that No'akh opened the window of the ark which he had made. 7 And he sent forth a raven, and it went forth to and fro, until the waters were dried up from off the earth. 8 And he sent forth a dove from him, to see if the waters were abated from off the face of the ground. 9 But the dove found no rest for the sole of her foot, and she returned unto him to the ark, for the waters were on the face of the whole earth; and he put forth his hand, and took her, and brought her in unto him into the ark. 10 And he stayed yet other seven days; and again he sent forth the dove out of the ark. 11 And the dove came in to him at eventide; and lo, in her mouth an olive-leaf freshly plucked; so No'akh knew that the waters were abated from off the earth.
12 And he stayed yet another seven days; and sent forth the dove; and she returned not again unto him any more. 13 And it came to pass in the six hundred and first year, in the first khodesh, the first day of the khodesh, the waters were dried up from off the earth; and No'akh removed the covering of the ark, and looked, and behold, the face of the ground was dried. 14 And in the second khodesh, on the twenty-seventh day of the khodesh, was the earth dry. 15 And Elohim spoke unto No'akh, saying, 16 "Go forth from the ark, you, and your wife, and your sons, and your sons' wives with you. 17 Bring forth with you every living thing that is with you of all flesh, both fowl, and cattle, and every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth; that they may swarm in the earth, and be fruitful, and multiply upon the earth." 18 And No'akh went forth, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons' wives with him; 19 every beast, every creeping thing, and every fowl, whatever moves upon the earth, after their families, went forth out of the ark. 20 And No'akh built a Mizbe'akh unto יהוה ; and took of every clean beast, and of every clean fowl, and offered Olot on the Mizbe'akh. 21 And יהוה smelled the sweet savor; and יהוה said in His heart, "I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake; for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done. 22 While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease. | בראשית פרק ח
א וַיִּזְכֹּר אֱלֹהִים אֶת נֹחַ וְאֵת כָּל הַחַיָּה וְאֶת כָּל הַבְּהֵמָה אֲשֶׁר אִתּוֹ בַּתֵּבָה וַיַּעֲבֵר אֱלֹהִים רוּחַ עַל הָאָרֶץ וַיָּשֹׁכּוּ הַמָּיִם.
ב וַיִּסָּכְרוּ מַעְיְנֹת תְּהוֹם וַאֲרֻבֹּת הַשָּׁמָיִם וַיִּכָּלֵא הַגֶּשֶׁם מִן הַשָּׁמָיִם.
ג וַיָּשֻׁבוּ הַמַּיִם מֵעַל הָאָרֶץ הָלוֹךְ וָשׁוֹב וַיַּחְסְרוּ הַמַּיִם מִקְצֵה חֲמִשִּׁים וּמְאַת יוֹם.
ד וַתָּנַח הַתֵּבָה בַּחֹדֶשׁ הַשְּׁבִיעִי בְּשִׁבְעָה עָשָׂר יוֹם לַחֹדֶשׁ עַל הָרֵי אֲרָרָט.
ה וְהַמַּיִם הָיוּ הָלוֹךְ וְחָסוֹר עַד הַחֹדֶשׁ הָעֲשִׂירִי בָּעֲשִׂירִי בְּאֶחָד לַחֹדֶשׁ נִרְאוּ רָאשֵׁי הֶהָרִים.
ו וַיְהִי מִקֵּץ אַרְבָּעִים יוֹם וַיִּפְתַּח נֹחַ אֶת חַלּוֹן הַתֵּבָה אֲשֶׁר עָשָׂה.
ז וַיְשַׁלַּח אֶת הָעֹרֵב וַיֵּצֵא יָצוֹא וָשׁוֹב עַד יְבֹשֶׁת הַמַּיִם מֵעַל הָאָרֶץ.
ח וַיְשַׁלַּח אֶת הַיּוֹנָה מֵאִתּוֹ לִרְאוֹת הֲקַלּוּ הַמַּיִם מֵעַל פְּנֵי הָאֲדָמָה.
ט וְלֹא מָצְאָה הַיּוֹנָה מָנוֹחַ לְכַף רַגְלָהּ וַתָּשָׁב אֵלָיו אֶל הַתֵּבָה כִּי מַיִם עַל פְּנֵי כָל הָאָרֶץ וַיִּשְׁלַח יָדוֹ וַיִּקָּחֶהָ וַיָּבֵא אֹתָהּ אֵלָיו אֶל הַתֵּבָה.
י וַיָּחֶל עוֹד שִׁבְעַת יָמִים אֲחֵרִים וַיֹּסֶף שַׁלַּח אֶת הַיּוֹנָה מִן הַתֵּבָה.
יא וַתָּבֹא אֵלָיו הַיּוֹנָה לְעֵת עֶרֶב
וְהִנֵּה עֲלֵה זַיִת טָרָף בְּפִיהָ וַיֵּדַע נֹחַ כִּי קַלּוּ הַמַּיִם מֵעַל הָאָרֶץ.
יב וַיִּיָּחֶל עוֹד שִׁבְעַת יָמִים אֲחֵרִים וַיְשַׁלַּח אֶת הַיּוֹנָה וְלֹא יָסְפָה שׁוּב אֵלָיו עוֹד.
יג וַיְהִי בְּאַחַת וְשֵׁשׁ מֵאוֹת שָׁנָה בָּרִאשׁוֹן בְּאֶחָד לַחֹדֶשׁ חָרְבוּ הַמַּיִם מֵעַל הָאָרֶץ וַיָּסַר נֹחַ אֶת מִכְסֵה הַתֵּבָה וַיַּרְא וְהִנֵּה חָרְבוּ פְּנֵי הָאֲדָמָה.
יד וּבַחֹדֶשׁ הַשֵּׁנִי בְּשִׁבְעָה וְעֶשְׂרִים יוֹם לַחֹדֶשׁ יָבְשָׁה הָאָרֶץ.
טו וַיְדַבֵּר אֱלֹהִים אֶל נֹחַ לֵאמֹר.
טז צֵא מִן הַתֵּבָה אַתָּה וְאִשְׁתְּךָ וּבָנֶיךָ וּנְשֵׁי בָנֶיךָ אִתָּךְ.
יז כָּל הַחַיָּה אֲשֶׁר אִתְּךָ מִכָּל בָּשָׂר בָּעוֹף וּבַבְּהֵמָה וּבְכָל הָרֶמֶשׂ הָרֹמֵשׂ עַל הָאָרֶץ הוצא (הַיְצֵא) אִתָּךְ וְשָׁרְצוּ בָאָרֶץ וּפָרוּ וְרָבוּ עַל הָאָרֶץ.
יח וַיֵּצֵא נֹחַ וּבָנָיו וְאִשְׁתּוֹ וּנְשֵׁי בָנָיו אִתּוֹ.
יט כָּל הַחַיָּה כָּל הָרֶמֶשׂ וְכָל הָעוֹף כֹּל רוֹמֵשׂ עַל הָאָרֶץ לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתֵיהֶם יָצְאוּ מִן הַתֵּבָה.
כ וַיִּבֶן נֹחַ מִזְבֵּחַ לַיהוה וַיִּקַּח מִכֹּל הַבְּהֵמָה הַטְּהֹרָה וּמִכֹּל הָעוֹף הַטָּהוֹר וַיַּעַל עֹלֹת בַּמִּזְבֵּחַ.
כא וַיָּרַח יהוה אֶת רֵיחַ הַנִּיחֹחַ וַיֹּאמֶר יהוה אֶל לִבּוֹ לֹא אֹסִף לְקַלֵּל עוֹד אֶת הָאֲדָמָה בַּעֲבוּר הָאָדָם כִּי יֵצֶר לֵב הָאָדָם רַע מִנְּעֻרָיו וְלֹא אֹסִף עוֹד לְהַכּוֹת אֶת כָּל חַי כַּאֲשֶׁר עָשִׂיתִי.
כב עֹד כָּל יְמֵי הָאָרֶץ זֶרַע וְקָצִיר וְקֹר וָחֹם וְקַיִץ וָחֹרֶף וְיוֹם וָלַיְלָה לֹא יִשְׁבֹּתוּ.

1 And Elohim blessed No'akh and his sons, and said unto them, "Be fruitful and multiply, and replenish the earth. 2 And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, and upon all wherewith the ground teems, and upon all the fish of the sea: into your hand are they delivered. 3 Every moving thing that lives shall be for food for you; as the green herb have I given you all. 4 Only flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall you not eat. 5 And surely your blood of your lives will I require; at the hand of every beast will I require it; and at the hand of man, even at the hand of every man's brother, will I require the life of man. 6 Whoever sheds man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed; for in the image of Elohim He made man. 7 And you, be fruitful, and multiply; swarm in the earth, and multiply therein." 8 And Elohim spoke unto No'akh, and to his sons with him, saying, 9 "As for Me, behold, I establish My Brit with you, and with your seed after you; 10 and with every living creature that is with you, the fowl, the cattle, and every beast of the earth with you; of all that go out of the ark, even every beast of the earth. 11 And I will establish My Brit with you; neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of the flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth." 12 And Elohim said, "This is the token of the Brit which I make between Me and you, and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations: 13 I have set My bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a Brit between Me and the earth. 14 And it shall come to pass, when I bring clouds over the earth, and the bow is seen in the cloud, 15 that I will remember My Brit, which is between Me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh. 16 And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting Brit between Elohim and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth." 17 And Elohim said unto No'akh, "This is the token of the Brit which I have established between Me and all flesh that is upon the earth."
18 And the sons of No'akh, that went forth from the ark, were Shem, and Kham, and Yafet; and Kham is the father of Kena'an. 19 These three were the sons of No'akh, and of these was the whole earth overspread. 20 And No'akh, the husbandman, began and planted a vineyard. 21 And he drank of the wine, and was drunk; and he was uncovered within his tent. 22 And Kham, the father of Kena'an, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brothers without. 23 And Shem and Yafet took a garment, and laid it upon both their shoulders, and went backward, and covered the nakedness of their father; and their faces were backward, and they saw not their father's nakedness. 24 And No'akh awoke from his wine, and knew what his youngest son had done unto him. 25 And he said, "Cursed is Kena'an; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren." 26 And he said, "Blessed is יהוה , the Elohim of Shem; and let Kena'an be their servant. 27 Elohim enlarge Yafet, and he shall dwell in the tents of Shem; and let Kena'an be their servant". 28 And No'akh lived after the flood three hundred and fifty years. 29 And all the days of No'akh were nine hundred and fifty years; and he died.

א וַיְבָרֶךְ אֱלֹהִים אֶת נֹחַ וְאֶת בָּנָיו וַיֹּאמֶר לָהֶם פְּרוּ וּרְבוּ וּמִלְאוּ אֶת הָאָרֶץ.
ב וּמוֹרַאֲכֶם וְחִתְּכֶם יִהְיֶה עַל כָּל חַיַּת הָאָרֶץ וְעַל כָּל עוֹף הַשָּׁמָיִם בְּכֹל אֲשֶׁר תִּרְמֹשׂ הָאֲדָמָה וּבְכָל דְּגֵי הַיָּם בְּיֶדְכֶם נִתָּנוּ.
ג כָּל רֶמֶשׂ אֲשֶׁר הוּא חַי לָכֶם יִהְיֶה לְאָכְלָה כְּיֶרֶק עֵשֶׂב נָתַתִּי לָכֶם אֶת כֹּל.
ד אַךְ בָּשָׂר בְּנַפְשׁוֹ דָמוֹ לֹא תֹאכֵלוּ.
ה וְאַךְ אֶת דִּמְכֶם לְנַפְשֹׁתֵיכֶם אֶדְרֹשׁ מִיַּד כָּל חַיָּה אֶדְרְשֶׁנּוּ וּמִיַּד הָאָדָם מִיַּד אִישׁ אָחִיו אֶדְרֹשׁ אֶת נֶפֶשׁ הָאָדָם.
ו שֹׁפֵךְ דַּם הָאָדָם בָּאָדָם דָּמוֹ יִשָּׁפֵךְ כִּי בְּצֶלֶם אֱלֹהִים עָשָׂה אֶת הָאָדָם.
ז וְאַתֶּם פְּרוּ וּרְבוּ שִׁרְצוּ בָאָרֶץ וּרְבוּ בָהּ.
ח וַיֹּאמֶר אֱלֹהִים אֶל נֹחַ וְאֶל בָּנָיו אִתּוֹ לֵאמֹר.
ט וַאֲנִי הִנְנִי מֵקִים אֶת בְּרִיתִי אִתְּכֶם וְאֶת זַרְעֲכֶם אַחֲרֵיכֶם.
י וְאֵת כָּל נֶפֶשׁ הַחַיָּה אֲשֶׁר אִתְּכֶם בָּעוֹף בַּבְּהֵמָה וּבְכָל חַיַּת הָאָרֶץ אִתְּכֶם מִכֹּל יֹצְאֵי הַתֵּבָה לְכֹל חַיַּת הָאָרֶץ.
יא וַהֲקִמֹתִי אֶת בְּרִיתִי אִתְּכֶם וְלֹא יִכָּרֵת כָּל בָּשָׂר עוֹד מִמֵּי הַמַּבּוּל וְלֹא יִהְיֶה עוֹד מַבּוּל לְשַׁחֵת הָאָרֶץ.
יב וַיֹּאמֶר אֱלֹהִים זֹאת אוֹת הַבְּרִית אֲשֶׁר אֲנִי נֹתֵן בֵּינִי וּבֵינֵיכֶם וּבֵין כָּל נֶפֶשׁ חַיָּה אֲשֶׁר אִתְּכֶם לְדֹרֹת עוֹלָם.
יג אֶת קַשְׁתִּי נָתַתִּי בֶּעָנָן וְהָיְתָה לְאוֹת בְּרִית בֵּינִי וּבֵין הָאָרֶץ.
יד וְהָיָה בְּעַנְנִי עָנָן עַל הָאָרֶץ וְנִרְאֲתָה הַקֶּשֶׁת בֶּעָנָן.
טו וְזָכַרְתִּי אֶת בְּרִיתִי אֲשֶׁר בֵּינִי וּבֵינֵיכֶם וּבֵין כָּל נֶפֶשׁ חַיָּה בְּכָל בָּשָׂר וְלֹא יִהְיֶה עוֹד הַמַּיִם לְמַבּוּל לְשַׁחֵת כָּל בָּשָׂר.
טז וְהָיְתָה הַקֶּשֶׁת בֶּעָנָן וּרְאִיתִיהָ לִזְכֹּר בְּרִית עוֹלָם בֵּין אֱלֹהִים וּבֵין כָּל נֶפֶשׁ חַיָּה בְּכָל בָּשָׂר אֲשֶׁר עַל הָאָרֶץ.
יז וַיֹּאמֶר אֱלֹהִים אֶל נֹחַ זֹאת אוֹת הַבְּרִית אֲשֶׁר הֲקִמֹתִי בֵּינִי וּבֵין כָּל בָּשָׂר אֲשֶׁר עַל הָאָרֶץ.
יח וַיִּהְיוּ בְנֵי נֹחַ הַיֹּצְאִים מִן הַתֵּבָה
שֵׁם וְחָם וָיָפֶת וְחָם הוּא אֲבִי כְנָעַן.
יט שְׁלֹשָׁה אֵלֶּה בְּנֵי נֹחַ וּמֵאֵלֶּה נָפְצָה כָל הָאָרֶץ.
כ וַיָּחֶל נֹחַ אִישׁ הָאֲדָמָה וַיִּטַּע כָּרֶם.
כא וַיֵּשְׁתְּ מִן הַיַּיִן וַיִּשְׁכָּר וַיִּתְגַּל בְּתוֹךְ אָהֳלֹה.
כב וַיַּרְא חָם אֲבִי כְנַעַן אֵת עֶרְוַת אָבִיו וַיַּגֵּד לִשְׁנֵי אֶחָיו בַּחוּץ.
כג וַיִּקַּח שֵׁם וָיֶפֶת אֶת הַשִּׂמְלָה וַיָּשִׂימוּ עַל שְׁכֶם שְׁנֵיהֶם וַיֵּלְכוּ אֲחֹרַנִּית וַיְכַסּוּ אֵת עֶרְוַת אֲבִיהֶם וּפְנֵיהֶם אֲחֹרַנִּית וְעֶרְוַת אֲבִיהֶם לֹא רָאוּ.
כד וַיִּיקֶץ נֹחַ מִיֵּינוֹ וַיֵּדַע אֵת אֲשֶׁר עָשָׂה לוֹ בְּנוֹ הַקָּטָן.
כה וַיֹּאמֶר אָרוּר כְּנָעַן עֶבֶד עֲבָדִים
יִהְיֶה לְאֶחָיו.
כו וַיֹּאמֶר בָּרוּךְ יהוה אֱלֹהֵי שֵׁם וִיהִי כְנַעַן עֶבֶד לָמוֹ.
כז יַפְתְּ אֱלֹהִים לְיֶפֶת וְיִשְׁכֹּן בְּאָהֳלֵי שֵׁם וִיהִי כְנַעַן עֶבֶד לָמוֹ.
כח וַיְחִי נֹחַ אַחַר הַמַּבּוּל שְׁלֹשׁ מֵאוֹת שָׁנָה וַחֲמִשִּׁים שָׁנָה.
כט וַיִּהְיוּ כָּל יְמֵי נֹחַ תְּשַׁע מֵאוֹת שָׁנָה וַחֲמִשִּׁים שָׁנָה וַיָּמֹת.

1 Now these are the generations of the sons of No'akh: Shem, Kham, and Yafet; and unto them were sons born after the flood. 2 The sons of Yafet: Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Yavan, and Tuval, and Meshech, and Tiras. 3 And the sons of Gomer: Ashkenaz, and Rifat, and Togarmah. 4 And the sons of Yavan: Elishah, and Tarshish, Kitim, and Dodanim. 5 Of these were the isles of the nations divided in their lands, every one after his tongue, after their families, in their nations. 6 And the sons of Kham: Kush, and Mitzrayim, and Put, and Kena'an. 7 And the sons of Kush: Seva, and Khavilah, and Savtah, and Ra'amah, and Savtekha; and the sons of Ra'amah: Sheva, and Dedan. 8 And Kush begot Nimrod; he began to be a mighty one in the earth. 9 He was a mighty hunter before יהוה ; therefore it is said, "Like Nimrod, a mighty hunter before יהוה ." And 10 the beginning of his kingdom was Bavel, and Erekh, and Akad, and Kalneh, in the land of Shinar. 11 Out of that land went forth Ashur, and built Nineveh, and Rekhovot-ir, and Kalakh, 12 and Resen between Nineveh and Kalakh, the same is the great city. 13 And Mitzrayim begot Ludim, and Anamim, and Lehavim, and Naftukhim, 14 and Patrusim, and Kaslukhim, from where the Pilishtim came forth, and Kaftorim. 15 And Kena'an begot Tzidon his firstborn, and Khet; 16 and the Yevusi, and the Amori, and the Girgashi; 17 and the Khivi, and the Arki, and the Sini; 18 and the Arvadi, and the Tzemari, and the Khamati; and afterward were the families of the Kena'ani spread abroad. 19 And the border of the Kena'ani was from Tzidon, as you go toward Gerar, unto Azatah; as you go toward S'dom and Amorah and Admah and Zevoi'im, unto Lasha. 20 These are the sons of Kham, after their families, after their tongues, in their lands, in their nations. 21 And unto Shem, the father of all the children of Ever, the elder brother of Yafet, to him also were children born. 22 The sons of Shem: Elam, and Ashur, and Arfakhshad, and Lud, and Aram. 23 And the sons of Aram: Uz, and Khul, and Geter, and Mash. 24 And Arfakhshad begot Shelah; and Shelah begot Ever. 25 And unto Ever were born two sons; the name of the one was Peleg; for in his days was the earth divided; and his brother's name was Yoktan. 26 And Yoktan begot Almodad, and Shelef, and Khazarmavet, and Yerah; 27 and Kadoram, and Uzal, and Diklah; 28 and Oval, and Avima'el, and Sheva; 29 and Ofir, and Khavilah, and Yovav; all these were the sons of Yoktan. 30 And their dwelling was from Mesha, as you go toward Sefar, unto the mountain of the east. 31 These are the sons of Shem, after their families, after their languages, in their lands, after their nations. 32 These are the families of the sons of No'akh, after their generations, in their nations; and of these were the nations divided in the earth after the flood.

ו וּבְנֵי חָם כּוּשׁ וּמִצְרַיִם וּפוּט וּכְנָעַן.
ז וּבְנֵי כוּשׁ סְבָא וַחֲוִילָה וְסַבְתָּה וְרַעְמָה וְסַבְתְּכָא וּבְנֵי רַעְמָה שְׁבָא וּדְדָן.
ח וְכוּשׁ יָלַד אֶת נִמְרֹד הוּא הֵחֵל לִהְיוֹת גִּבֹּר בָּאָרֶץ.
ט הוּא הָיָה גִבֹּר צַיִד לִפְנֵי יהוה עַל כֵּן יֵאָמַר כְּנִמְרֹד גִּבּוֹר צַיִד לִפְנֵי יהוה .
י וַתְּהִי רֵאשִׁית מַמְלַכְתּוֹ בָּבֶל וְאֶרֶךְ וְאַכַּד וְכַלְנֵה בְּאֶרֶץ שִׁנְעָר.
יא מִן הָאָרֶץ הַהִוא יָצָא אַשּׁוּר וַיִּבֶן אֶת נִינְוֵה וְאֶת רְחֹבֹת עִיר וְאֶת כָּלַח.
יב וְאֶת רֶסֶן בֵּין נִינְוֵה וּבֵין כָּלַח הִוא הָעִיר הַגְּדֹלָה.
יג וּמִצְרַיִם יָלַד אֶת לוּדִים וְאֶת עֲנָמִים וְאֶת לְהָבִים וְאֶת נַפְתֻּחִים.
יד וְאֶת פַּתְרֻסִים וְאֶת כַּסְלֻחִים אֲשֶׁר יָצְאוּ מִשָּׁם פְּלִשְׁתִּים וְאֶת כַּפְתֹּרִים.
טו וּכְנַעַן יָלַד אֶת צִידֹן בְּכֹרוֹ וְאֶת חֵת.
טז וְאֶת הַיְבוּסִי וְאֶת הָאֱמֹרִי וְאֵת הַגִּרְגָּשִׁי.
יז וְאֶת הַחִוִּי וְאֶת הַעַרְקִי וְאֶת הַסִּינִי.
יח וְאֶת הָאַרְוָדִי וְאֶת הַצְּמָרִי וְאֶת הַחֲמָתִי וְאַחַר נָפֹצוּ מִשְׁפְּחוֹת הַכְּנַעֲנִי.
יט וַיְהִי גְּבוּל הַכְּנַעֲנִי מִצִּידֹן בֹּאֲכָה גְרָרָה עַד עַזָּה בֹּאֲכָה סְדֹמָה וַעֲמֹרָה וְאַדְמָה וּצְבֹיִם עַד לָשַׁע.
כ אֵלֶּה בְנֵי חָם לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָם לִלְשֹׁנֹתָם בְּאַרְצֹתָם בְּגוֹיֵהֶם.
כא וּלְשֵׁם יֻלַּד גַּם הוּא אֲבִי כָּל בְּנֵי עֵבֶר אֲחִי יֶפֶת הַגָּדוֹל.
כב בְּנֵי שֵׁם עֵילָם וְאַשּׁוּר וְאַרְפַּכְשַׁד וְלוּד וַאֲרָם.
כג וּבְנֵי אֲרָם עוּץ וְחוּל וְגֶתֶר וָמַשׁ.
כד וְאַרְפַּכְשַׁד יָלַד אֶת שָׁלַח וְשֶׁלַח יָלַד אֶת עֵבֶר.
כה וּלְעֵבֶר יֻלַּד שְׁנֵי בָנִים שֵׁם הָאֶחָד פֶּלֶג כִּי בְיָמָיו נִפְלְגָה הָאָרֶץ וְשֵׁם אָחִיו יָקְטָן.
כו וְיָקְטָן יָלַד אֶת אַלְמוֹדָד וְאֶת שָׁלֶף וְאֶת חֲצַרְמָוֶת וְאֶת יָרַח.
כז וְאֶת הֲדוֹרָם וְאֶת אוּזָל וְאֶת דִּקְלָה.
כח וְאֶת עוֹבָל וְאֶת אֲבִימָאֵל וְאֶת שְׁבָא.
כט וְאֶת אוֹפִר וְאֶת חֲוִילָה וְאֶת יוֹבָב כָּל אֵלֶּה בְּנֵי יָקְטָן.
ל וַיְהִי מוֹשָׁבָם מִמֵּשָׁא בֹּאֲכָה סְפָרָה הַר הַקֶּדֶם.
לא אֵלֶּה בְנֵי שֵׁם לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָם לִלְשֹׁנֹתָם בְּאַרְצֹתָם לְגוֹיֵהֶם.
לב אֵלֶּה מִשְׁפְּחֹת בְּנֵי נֹחַ לְתוֹלְדֹתָם בְּגוֹיֵהֶם וּמֵאֵלֶּה נִפְרְדוּ הַגּוֹיִם בָּאָרֶץ אַחַר הַמַּבּוּל. |
B'reshit Chapter 11
1 And the whole earth was of one language and of one speech. 2 And it came to pass, as they journeyed east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there. 3 And they said one to another, "Come, let us make brick, and burn them thoroughly." And they had brick for stone, and bitumen had they for mortar. 4 And they said, "Come, let us build us a city, and a tower, with its top in heaven, and let us make for ourselves a name; lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth." 5 And יהוה came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men built. 6 And יהוה said, "Behold, they are one people, and they have all one language; and this is what they begin to do; and now nothing will be withheld from them, which they purpose to do. 7 Come, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech." 8 So יהוה scattered them abroad from there upon the face of all the earth; and they left off to build the city. 9 Therefore was the name of it called Bavel; because יהוה did there confound the language of all the earth; and from there did יהוה scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth.
10 These are the generations of Shem. Shem was a hundred years old, and begot Arpakhshad two years after the flood. 11 And Shem lived after he begot Arpakhshad five hundred years, and begot sons and daughters. 12 And Arpakhshad lived thirty-five years, and begot Shelah. 13 And Arpakhshad lived after he begot Shelah four hundred and three years, and begot sons and daughters. 14 And Shelah lived thirty years, and begot Ever. 15 And Shelah lived after he begot Ever four hundred and three years, and begot sons and daughters. 16 And Ever lived thirty-four years, and begot Peleg. 17 And Ever lived after he begot Peleg four hundred and thirty years, and begot sons and daughters. 18 And Peleg lived thirty years, and begot Re’u. 19 And Peleg lived after he begot Re'u two hundred and nine years, and begot sons and daughters. 20 And Re'u lived thirty-two years, and begot Serug. 21 And Re'u lived after he begot Serug two hundred and seven years, and begot sons and daughters. 22 And Serug lived thirty years, and begot Nakhor. 23 And Serug lived after he begot Nahor two hundred years, and begot sons and daughters. 24 And Nakhor lived twenty-nine years, and begot Terakh. 25 And Nakhor lived after he begot Terakh a hundred and nineteen years, and begot sons and daughters. 26 And Terakh lived seventy years, and begot Avram, Nakhor, and Haran. 27 Now these are the generations of Terakh. Terakh begot Avram, Nakhor, and Haran; and Haran begot Lot. 28 And Haran died in the presence of his father Terakh in the land of his nativity, in Ur of the Kaldees. 29 And Avram and Nakhor took them wives: the name of Avram's wife was Sarai; and the name of Nakhor's wife, Milkah, the daughter of Haran, the father of Milkah, and the father of Iskah. 30 And Sarai was barren; she had no child. 31 And Terakh took Avram his son, and Lot Ben Haran, his son's son, and Sarai his daughter-in-law, his son Avram's wife; and they went forth with them from Ur of the Kaldees, to go into the land of Kena'an; and they came unto Kharan, and dwelt there. 32 And the days of Terakh were two hundred and five years; and Terakh died in Kharan.

ב וַיְהִי בְּנָסְעָם מִקֶּדֶם וַיִּמְצְאוּ בִקְעָה בְּאֶרֶץ שִׁנְעָר וַיֵּשְׁבוּ שָׁם.
ג וַיֹּאמְרוּ אִישׁ אֶל רֵעֵהוּ הָבָה נִלְבְּנָה לְבֵנִים וְנִשְׂרְפָה לִשְׂרֵפָה וַתְּהִי לָהֶם הַלְּבֵנָה לְאָבֶן וְהַחֵמָר הָיָה לָהֶם לַחֹמֶר.
ד וַיֹּאמְרוּ הָבָה נִבְנֶה לָּנוּ עִיר וּמִגְדָּל וְרֹאשׁוֹ בַשָּׁמַיִם וְנַעֲשֶׂה לָּנוּ שֵׁם פֶּן נָפוּץ עַל פְּנֵי כָל הָאָרֶץ.
ה וַיֵּרֶד יהוה לִרְאֹת אֶת הָעִיר וְאֶת הַמִּגְדָּל אֲשֶׁר בָּנוּ בְּנֵי הָאָדָם.
ו וַיֹּאמֶר יהוה הֵן עַם אֶחָד וְשָׂפָה אַחַת לְכֻלָּם וְזֶה הַחִלָּם לַעֲשׂוֹת וְעַתָּה לֹא יִבָּצֵר מֵהֶם כֹּל אֲשֶׁר יָזְמוּ לַעֲשׂוֹת.
ז הָבָה נֵרְדָה וְנָבְלָה שָׁם שְׂפָתָם אֲשֶׁר לֹא יִשְׁמְעוּ אִישׁ שְׂפַת רֵעֵהוּ.
ח וַיָּפֶץ יהוה אֹתָם מִשָּׁם עַל פְּנֵי כָל הָאָרֶץ וַיַּחְדְּלוּ לִבְנֹת הָעִיר.
ט עַל כֵּן קָרָא שְׁמָהּ בָּבֶל כִּי שָׁם בָּלַל יהוה שְׂפַת כָּל הָאָרֶץ וּמִשָּׁם הֱפִיצָם יהוה עַל פְּנֵי כָּל הָאָרֶץ.
י אֵלֶּה תּוֹלְדֹת שֵׁם שֵׁם בֶּן מְאַת שָׁנָה וַיּוֹלֶד אֶת אַרְפַּכְשָׁד שְׁנָתַיִם אַחַר הַמַּבּוּל.
יא וַיְחִי שֵׁם אַחֲרֵי הוֹלִידוֹ אֶת אַרְפַּכְשָׁד חֲמֵשׁ מֵאוֹת שָׁנָה וַיּוֹלֶד בָּנִים וּבָנוֹת.
יב וְאַרְפַּכְשַׁד חַי חָמֵשׁ וּשְׁלֹשִׁים שָׁנָה וַיּוֹלֶד אֶת שָׁלַח.
יג וַיְחִי אַרְפַּכְשַׁד אַחֲרֵי הוֹלִידוֹ אֶת שֶׁלַח שָׁלֹשׁ שָׁנִים וְאַרְבַּע מֵאוֹת שָׁנָה וַיּוֹלֶד בָּנִים וּבָנוֹת.
יד וְשֶׁלַח חַי שְׁלֹשִׁים שָׁנָה וַיּוֹלֶד אֶת עֵבֶר.
טו וַיְחִי שֶׁלַח אַחֲרֵי הוֹלִידוֹ אֶת עֵבֶר שָׁלֹשׁ שָׁנִים וְאַרְבַּע מֵאוֹת שָׁנָה וַיּוֹלֶד בָּנִים וּבָנוֹת.
טז וַיְחִי עֵבֶר אַרְבַּע וּשְׁלֹשִׁים שָׁנָה וַיּוֹלֶד אֶת פָּלֶג.
יז וַיְחִי עֵבֶר אַחֲרֵי הוֹלִידוֹ אֶת פֶּלֶג שְׁלֹשִׁים שָׁנָה וְאַרְבַּע מֵאוֹת שָׁנָה וַיּוֹלֶד בָּנִים וּבָנוֹת.
יח וַיְחִי פֶלֶג שְׁלֹשִׁים שָׁנָה וַיּוֹלֶד אֶת רְעוּ.

כה וַיְחִי נָחוֹר אַחֲרֵי הוֹלִידוֹ אֶת תֶּרַח תְּשַׁע עֶשְׂרֵה שָׁנָה וּמְאַת שָׁנָה וַיּוֹלֶד בָּנִים וּבָנוֹת.
כו וַיְחִי תֶרַח שִׁבְעִים שָׁנָה וַיּוֹלֶד אֶת אַבְרָם אֶת נָחוֹר וְאֶת הָרָן.
כז וְאֵלֶּה תּוֹלְדֹת תֶּרַח תֶּרַח הוֹלִיד אֶת אַבְרָם אֶת נָחוֹר וְאֶת הָרָן וְהָרָן הוֹלִיד אֶת לוֹט.
כח וַיָּמָת הָרָן עַל פְּנֵי תֶּרַח אָבִיו בְּאֶרֶץ מוֹלַדְתּוֹ בְּאוּר כַּשְׂדִּים.
כט וַיִּקַּח אַבְרָם וְנָחוֹר לָהֶם נָשִׁים שֵׁם אֵשֶׁת אַבְרָם שָׂרָי וְשֵׁם אֵשֶׁת נָחוֹר מִלְכָּה בַּת הָרָן אֲבִי מִלְכָּה וַאֲבִי יִסְכָּה.
ל וַתְּהִי שָׂרַי עֲקָרָה אֵין לָהּ וָלָד.
לא וַיִּקַּח תֶּרַח אֶת אַבְרָם בְּנוֹ וְאֶת לוֹט בֶּן הָרָן בֶּן בְּנוֹ וְאֵת שָׂרַי כַּלָּתוֹ אֵשֶׁת אַבְרָם בְּנוֹ וַיֵּצְאוּ אִתָּם מֵאוּר כַּשְׂדִּים לָלֶכֶת אַרְצָה כְּנַעַן וַיָּבֹאוּ עַד חָרָן וַיֵּשְׁבוּ שָׁם.

Yesha-Yahu Chapter 54
1 "Sing, O barren, you that did not bear, break forth into singing, and cry aloud, you that did not travail; for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, says יהוה . Enlarge 2 the place of your tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of your habitations, spare not; lengthen your cords, and strengthen your stakes. 3 For you shall spread abroad on the right hand and on the left; and your seed shall possess the nations, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited. 4 Fear not, for you shall not be ashamed. Neither be confounded, for you shall not be put to shame; for you shall forget the shame of your youth, and the reproach of your widowhood shall you remember no more. 5 For your Maker is your husband, יהוה Tzeva'ot is His Name; and the Kadosh One of Yisra'el is your Redeemer, the Elohim of the whole earth shall He be called. 6 For יהוה has called you as a wife forsaken and grieved in spirit; and a wife of youth, 'Can she be rejected?' says your Elohim. 7 For a small moment have I forsaken you; but with great compassion will I gather you. 8 In a little wrath I hid My face from you for a moment; but with everlasting compassion will I have mercy on you, says יהוה your Redeemer. 9 For this is as the waters of No'akh unto Me; for as I have sworn that the waters of No'akh should no more go over the earth, so have I sworn that I would not be wroth with you, nor rebuke you. 10 For the mountains may depart, and the hills be removed; but My kindness shall not depart from you, neither shall My Brit Shalom be removed, says יהוה that has mercy on you. 11 O you afflicted, tossed with tempest, and not comforted, behold, I will set your stones in fair colors, and lay your foundations with sapphires. 12 And I will make your pinnacles of rubies, and your gates of carbuncles, and all your border of precious stones. 13 And all your children shall be taught of יהוה ; and great shall be the shalom of your children. 14 In tzedaka shall you be established far from oppression, for you shall not fear, and from ruin, for it shall not come near you. 15 Behold, they may gather together, but not by Me; whoever shall gather together against you shall fall because of you. 16 Behold, I have created the smith that blows the fire of coals, and brings forth a weapon for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy. 17 No weapon that is formed against you shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of יהוה , and their Tzedaka from Me, says יהוה ." | יְשַׁעְיָהוּ פרק נד
א רָנִּי עֲקָרָה לֹא יָלָדָה; פִּצְחִי רִנָּה וְצַהֲלִי לֹא חָלָה כִּי רַבִּים בְּנֵי שׁוֹמֵמָה מִבְּנֵי בְעוּלָה אָמַר יהוה .
ב הַרְחִיבִי מְקוֹם אָהֳלֵךְ וִירִיעוֹת מִשְׁכְּנוֹתַיִךְ יַטּוּ אַל תַּחְשֹׂכִי; הַאֲרִיכִי מֵיתָרַיִךְ וִיתֵדֹתַיִךְ חַזֵּקִי.

ד אַל תִּירְאִי כִּי לֹא תֵבוֹשִׁי וְאַל תִּכָּלְמִי כִּי לֹא תַחְפִּירִי: כִּי בֹשֶׁת עֲלוּמַיִךְ תִּשְׁכָּחִי וְחֶרְפַּת אַלְמְנוּתַיִךְ לֹא תִזְכְּרִי עוֹד.
ה כִּי בֹעֲלַיִךְ עֹשַׂיִךְ יהוה צְבָאוֹת שְׁמוֹ; וְגֹאֲלֵךְ קְדוֹשׁ יִשְׂרָאֵל אֱלֹהֵי כָל הָאָרֶץ יִקָּרֵא.
ו כִּי כְאִשָּׁה עֲזוּבָה וַעֲצוּבַת רוּחַ קְרָאָךְ יהוה ; וְאֵשֶׁת נְעוּרִים כִּי תִמָּאֵס אָמַר אֱלֹהָיִךְ.
ז בְּרֶגַע קָטֹן עֲזַבְתִּיךְ; וּבְרַחֲמִים גְּדֹלִים אֲקַבְּצֵךְ.
ח בְּשֶׁצֶף קֶצֶף הִסְתַּרְתִּי פָנַי רֶגַע מִמֵּךְ וּבְחֶסֶד עוֹלָם רִחַמְתִּיךְ אָמַר גֹּאֲלֵךְ יהוה .
ט כִּי מֵי נֹחַ זֹאת לִי אֲשֶׁר נִשְׁבַּעְתִּי מֵעֲבֹר מֵי נֹחַ עוֹד עַל הָאָרֶץ כֵּן נִשְׁבַּעְתִּי מִקְּצֹף עָלַיִךְ וּמִגְּעָר בָּךְ.
י כִּי הֶהָרִים יָמוּשׁוּ וְהַגְּבָעוֹת תְּמוּטֶינָה וְחַסְדִּי מֵאִתֵּךְ לֹא יָמוּשׁ וּבְרִית שְׁלוֹמִי לֹא תָמוּט אָמַר מְרַחֲמֵךְ יהוה .
יא עֲנִיָּה סֹעֲרָה לֹא נֻחָמָה; הִנֵּה אָנֹכִי מַרְבִּיץ בַּפּוּךְ אֲבָנַיִךְ וִיסַדְתִּיךְ בַּסַּפִּירִים.
יב וְשַׂמְתִּי כַּדְכֹד שִׁמְשֹׁתַיִךְ וּשְׁעָרַיִךְ לְאַבְנֵי אֶקְדָּח; וְכָל גְּבוּלֵךְ לְאַבְנֵי חֵפֶץ.

1 "Ho, every one that thirsts, come for water, and he that has no money; come, buy, and eat; yes, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. 2 Why do you spend money for that which is not bread, and your gain for that which does not satisfy? Hearken diligently unto Me, and eat that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness. 3 Incline your ear, and come unto Me; hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make a Brit Olam with you, even the faithful compassions of David. 4 Behold, I have given him for a witness to the peoples, a prince and commander to the peoples. 5 Behold, you shall call a nation that you know not, and a nation that did not know you shall run unto you; because of יהוה your Elohim, and for the Kadosh One of Yisra'el, for He has glorified you.

Ascribe unto יהוה , O you sons of might, ascribe unto יהוה glory and strength. 2 Ascribe unto יהוה the glory due unto His Name; worship יהוה in the beauty of Kodesh. 3 The voice of יהוה is upon the waters; the Elohim of Kavod thunders, even יהוה upon many waters. 4 The voice of יהוה is powerful; the voice of יהוה is full of majesty. 5 The voice of יהוה breaks the cedars; yes, יהוה breaks in pieces the cedars of Levanon. 6 He makes them also to skip like a calf; Levanon and Siryon like a young wild ox. 7 The voice of יהוה hews out flames of fire. 8 The voice of יהוה shakes the wilderness; יהוה shakes the wilderness of Kadesh. 9 The voice of יהוה makes the hinds to calve, and strips the forests bare; and in His Heikhal all say, "Kavod!" 10 יהוה sat enthroned at the flood; yes, יהוה sits as Melekh forever. 11 יהוה will give strength unto His people; יהוה will bless his people with shalom. | תְּהִלִּים פרק כט

36 “But concerning that day and that hour, no man knows, not even the Malakhim of heaven, but HaAv alone. 37 Just as in the days of No'akh, so will be the coming of Ben HaAdam. 38 For as the people before the flood were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day No'akh entered into the ark, 39 and they knew nothing until the flood came and carried them all away, such will be the coming of Ben HaAdam. 40 Then, two men will be in the field, one will be taken away and the other forsaken. 41 Two women will be grinding at the handmill, one will be taken and the other forsaken.
42 “Be alert, therefore, for you do not know at what hour your Adon will come. 43 But know this much, that if the adon of the house knew at what watch of the night the thief comes, he would keep awake and would not let his house be plundered. 44 For this reason, you also be ready, for Ben HaAdam will come at an hour when you do not expect him. | מתי פרק כד

Luka Chapter 1
5 There was in the days of Herodus, king of Y'hudah, a kohen whose name was Zekhar-Yah, of the order of ministry of the house of Avi-Yah; and his wife was of the daughters of Aharon, and her name was Elisheva. 6 They were both righteous before Elohim, and walked in all His mitzvot, and in the tzedaka of יהוה without blame. 7 But they had no son, because Elisheva was barren, and they were both well on in years. 8 And it came to pass while he was ministering in the order of his ministry before Elohim, 9 according to the custom of the priesthood, his turn came to burn incense; so he entered the Heikhal of יהוה . And 10 all the congregation of the people prayed outside, at the time of incense. 11 And a Malakh of יהוה appeared to Zekhar-Yah, standing on the right of the Mizbe'akh of incense. 12 And when Zekhar-Yah saw him, he became dumbfounded, and fear came upon him. 13 And the Malakh said to him, “Fear not, Zekhar-Yah; for your prayer has been heard, and your wife Elisheva will bear you a son, and you will call his name Yokhanan. 14 And you will have joy and gladness; and a great many will rejoice at his birth. 15 For he will be great before יהוה , and he will not drink wine and strong drink; and he will be filled with The Ru'akh HaKodesh, while he is still in the womb of his mother. 16 And many Yisra'elites he will cause to turn to יהוה their Elohim. 17 And he will go before them with HaRu'akh and the power of Eli-Yahu, to turn the hearts of the fathers to their children, and those who are disobedient to the wisdom of the righteous; and he will prepare a true people for יהוה .” And 18 Zekhar-Yah said to the Malakh, “How will I understand this, for I am an old man, and my wife is well on in years.” 19 And the Malakh answered, saying to him, “I am Gavri-El, who stands in the presence of Elohim; and I am sent to speak to you, and to bring you these glad tidings. 20 From henceforth you will be mute, and not able to speak until the day these things happen, because you did not believe these my words which are to be fulfilled in their time.” 21 Now the people stood waiting for Zekhar-Yah, and wondered because he remained so long in the Heikhal. 22 When Zekhar-Yah came out, he could not speak with them; and they understood that he had seen a vision in the Heikhal; and he made signs to them with his eyes, but remained mute. 23 And when the days of his ministry were finished, he went to his house. 24 And after those days, his wife Elisheva conceived, and hid herself for five months; and she said, 25 “ יהוה has done these things to me in the days that He has been mindful of me, to remove my reproach among men.”
26 Now in the sixth month the Malakh Gavri-El was sent from Elohim to the Galil, to a city called Natzrat, 27 to a virgin who was betrothed to a man named Yosef, of Beit David; and the name of the virgin was Miryam. 28 And the Malakh went in and said to her, “Shalom to you, full of grace; Adoneinu is with you, O blessed one among women.” 29 When she saw him, she was disturbed at his word, and wondered what kind of salutation this could be. 30 And the Malakh said to her, “Fear not, Miryam; for you have found grace with Elohim. 31 For behold, you will conceive and give birth to a son, and you will call His Name יֵשׂוּעַ [Yeshua]. 32 He will be great, and He will be called Ben Elyon; and יהוה Elohim will give Him the throne of His father David. 33 And He will rule over the house of Ya'akov forever; and there will be no limit to His Malkhut.” 34 Then Miryam said to the Malakh, “How can this be, for no man has known me.” 35 The Malakh answered and said to her, “The Ru'akh HaKodesh will come, and the power of the Highest will rest upon you; therefore the One who is to be born of you is Kadosh, and He will be called Ben HaElohim. 36 And behold, Elisheva your kinswoman has also conceived a son in her old age; and yet this is the sixth month with her, who is called barren. 37 For nothing is impossible for Elohim.”
38 Miryam said, "Here I am, a handmaid of יהוה ; let it be to me according to your word." And the Malakh went away from her.
39 In those days, Miryam rose up, and went hurriedly to a mountain, to a city of Y'hudah. 40 And she entered the house of Zekhar-Yah, and saluted Elisheva. 41 And when Elisheva heard the salutation of Miryam, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisheva was filled with The Ru'akh HaKodesh. 42 And she cried in a loud voice saying to Miryam, “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb. 43 How does it happen to me that the mother of My Adon should come to me? 44 For behold, when the voice of your salutation fell on my ears, the babe in my womb leaped with great joy. 45 And blessed is she who trusted; for there will be a fulfillment of the things which were spoken to her from יהוה .” And 46 Miryam said, “My soul magnifies יהוה , and 47 my spirit rejoices in Elohim my Savior; 48 for He has regarded the meekness of his handmaid; for behold, from henceforth, He will bless me in all generations. 49 For He who is mighty has done great things for me; Kadosh is His Name. 50 And His mercy is for ages and generations, upon those who reverence Him. 51 He has brought victory with His arm; He has scattered the proud in the imagination of their heart. 52 He has put down the mighty from their thrones, and he has lifted up the meek. 53 He has filled the hungry with good things; and dismissed the rich empty. 54 He has helped His servant Yisra'el, and has remembered His mercy, 55 just as He spoke with our forefathers, with Avraham and with his descendants, forever.” 56 Miryam stayed with Elisheva about three months, and then returned to her own home.
57 Now the time came for Elisheva to be delivered, and she gave birth to a son. 58 And when her neighbors and relatives heard that Elohim had increased His mercy to her, they rejoiced with her. 59 And it came to pass on the eighth day that they came to circumcise the boy; and they would have called him Zekhar-Yah, after the name of his father, 60 but his mother said to them, “Not so; but he shall be called Yokhanan.” 61 And they said to her, “There is no man in your family who is called by this name.” 62 Then they made signs to his father, asking what he wanted to call him. 63 And he asked for a tablet and wrote, saying, “Yokhanan is his name.” And every one was surprised. 64 And immediately his mouth and his tongue were opened, and he spoke and blessed Elohim. 65 And fear came on all their neighbors; and these things were spoken throughout the mountains of Y'hudah. 66 And all who heard it reasoned in their hearts, saying, “What a boy he will be!” And the hand of יהוה was with him.
67 And his father Zekhar-Yah was filled with The Ru'akh HaKodesh, and prophesied, saying, 68 “Blessed is יהוה , the Elohim of Yisra'el; for He has visited His people and wrought Salvation for him. 69 And He has raised up a horn of Salvation for us in the house of His servant David; 70 just as He spoke by the mouth of His Nevi'im K'doshim, who have been for ages, 71 that he would save us from our enemies and from the hand of all who hate us. 72 He has shown mercy to our fathers, and He has remembered His consecrated covenants 73 and the oaths which he swore to Avraham our father, 74 to grant to us that we may be saved from the hand of our enemies, and serve before Him without fear 75 in justice and tzedaka all our days. 76 And you, boy, will be called the Navi of Elyon; for you will go before the face of יהוה to prepare His way, 77 to give knowledge of life to His people by the forgiveness of their sins, 78 through the mercy and compassion of our Elohim; whereby we shall be visited by a ray from above, 79 to give light to those who sit in darkness and in Tzal-Mavet, to guide our feet into the way of shalom.” 80 The boy grew and became strong in spirit; and he was in the desert until the day of his appearance to Yisra'el. | לוקא פרק א
ה הָיָה בִּימֵי הוֹרְדוֹס מֶלֶךְ הַיְּהוּדִים כֹּהֵן אֶחָד אֲשֶׁר שְׁמוֹ זְכַרְיָה, מִמִּשְׁמֶרֶת בֵּית אֲבִיָּה; וְאִשְׁתּוֹ מִבְּנוֹת אַהֲרוֹן וּשְׁמָהּ אֱלִישֶׁבַע.
ו שְׁנֵיהֶם צַדִּיקִים הָיוּ לִפְנֵי אֱלֹהִים, וּמִתְהַלְּכִים בְּכָל מִצְווֹת יהוה וְבְצִדְקָתוֹ לְלֹא דֹּפִי.
ז וּבֵן לֹא הָיָה לָהֶם, כִּי אֱלִישֶׁבַע הָיְתָה עֲקָרָה וּשְׁנֵיהֶם בָּאוּ בַּיָּמִים.
ח וּבְעֵת הֱיוֹתוֹ מְכַהֵן בְּסֵדֶר מִשְׁמַרְתּוֹ לִפְנֵי אֱלֹהִים,
ט לְפִי מִנְהַג הַכְּהֻנָּה, הִגִּיעוֹ לְהַקְטִיר קְטֹרֶת, וְנִכְנַס לְהֵיכַל יהוה;
י וְכָל קְהַל הָעָם הִתְפַּלֵּל בַּחוּץ בִּשְׁעַת הַקְּטֹרֶת.
יא וְנִרְאָה אֶל זְכַרְיָה מַלְאַךְ יהוה עוֹמֵד מִימִין מִזְבַּח הַקְּטֹרֶת.
יב וְנִבְהַל זְכַרְיָה כַּאֲשֶׁר רַאָהוּ, וּפַחַד נָפַל עָלָיו.
יג וְאָמַר לוֹ הַמַּלְאָךְ: אַל תִּירָא, זְכַרְיָה, כִּי נִשְׁמְעָה תְּפִלָּתְךָ, וְאִשְׁתְּךָ אֱלִישֶׁבַע תֵּלֵד לְךָ בֵּן, וְתִקְרָא שְׁמוֹ יוֹחָנָן.
יד וְיִהְיוּ לְךָ שִׂמְחָה וָגִיל, וְרַבִּים יִשְׂמְחוּ בְּהֻלַּדְתּוֹ;
טו כִּי גָּדוֹל יִהְיֶה לִפְנֵי יהוה . יַיִן וְשֵׁכָר לֹא יִשְׁתֶּה, וְרוּחַ הַקֹּדֶשׁ יִמָּלֵא בְּעוֹדוֹ בְּבֶטֶן אִמּוֹ.
טז וְרַבִּים מִבְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל יָשִׁיב אֶל יהוה אֱלֹהֵיהֶם,
יז וְהוּא יֵלֵךְ לְפָנָיו בְּרוּחַ אֵלִיָּהוּ הַנָּבִיא וּבִגְוּבוּרָתוֹ, לְהָשִׁיב לֵב אָבוֹת עַל בָּנִים, ואֶת הַסּוֹרְרִים אֱלֵי דַּעַת הַצַּדִּיקִים, וְיָכִין עַם מֻשְׁלָם לַיהוה.
יח וְאָמַר זְכַרְיָה לַמַּלְאָךְ: אֵיךְ אֵדַע זֹאת? הֲרֵי הִנְנִי זָקֵן, וְאִשְׁתִּי בָּאָה בַּיָּמִים.
יט וְעָנָה הַמַּלְאָךְ וְאָמַר לוֹ: אֲנִי גַּבְרִיאֵל הָעוֹמֵד לִפְנֵי הָאֱלֹהִים. וְנִשְׁלַחְתִּי לְדַבֵּר אִתְּךָ וּלְבַשֵּׂר לְךָ אֶת אֵלֶּה.
כ מֵעַתָּה תִּהְיֶה אִלֵּם וְלֹא תּוּכַל לְדַבֵּר עַד לַיּוֹם שֶׁיִּהְיוּ הַדְּבָרִים הָאֵלֶּה, עַל כִּי לֹא הֶאֱמַנְתָּ לִדְבָרַי אֵלֶּה אֲשֶׁר יִתְמַלְּאוּ בְּעִתָּם.
כא וְהָעָם הָיָה עוֹמֵד וּמְחַכֶּה לִזְכַרְיָה, וּתְמֵהִים הָיוּ עַל הִשְׁתַּהוּתוֹ בַּהֵיכָל.
כב כְּשֶׁיָּצָא זְכַרְיָה, לֹא הָיָה יָכוֹל לְדַבֵּר אִתָּם; וְהֵבִינוּ שֶׁרָאָה מַרְאֶה בַּהֵיכָל. וְהוּא רָמוֹז רָמַז לָהֶם וְנִשְׁאַר אִלֵּם.
כג וְכַאֲשֶׁר מָלְאוּ יְמֵי שֵׁרוּתוֹ, הָלַךְ לְבֵיתוֹ.
כד וְאֲחֲרֵי הַיָּמִים הָהֵם הָרְתָה אֱלִישֶׁבַע אִשְׁתּוֹ; וְהִסְתִּירָה עַצְמָהּ חֲמִשָּׁה חֳדָשִׁים, בְּאָמְרָהּ:
כה אֶת אֵלֶּה עָשָׂה לִי יהוה בַּיָּמִים שֶׁהִבִּיט בִּי לְהָסִיר אֶת חֶרְפָּתִי אֲשֶׁר בֵּין בְּנֵי אָדָם.
כו וּבַחֹדֶשׁ הַשִּׁשִּׁי נִשְׁלַח גַּבְרִיאֵל הַמַּלְאָךְ מֵאֵת הָאֱלֹהִים לַגָּלִיל, לְעִיר אֲשֶׁר שְׁמָהּ נָצְרַת,
כז אֶל בְּתוּלָה מְאֹרֶסֶת לְאִישׁ אֲשֶׁר שְׁמוֹ יוֹסֵף, מִבֵּית דָּוִד; וְשֵׁם הַבְּתוּלָה מִרְיָם.
כח וְנִכְנַס אֵלֶיהָ הַמַּלְאָךְ וְאָמַר לָהּ: שָׁלוֹם לָךְ, מְלֵאַת חֵן; אֲדוֹנֵינוּ עִמָּךְ, בְּרוּכָה בַּנָּשִׁים.
כט וְהִיא, כַּאֲשֶׁר רָאֲתָה, נִבְהֲלָה מִדְּבָרוֹ וְהִרְהֲרָה מַהוּ הַשָּׁלוֹם הַזֶּה.
ל וְאָמַר לָהּ הַמַּלְאָךְ: אַל תִּירְאִי, מִרְיָם, כִּי מָצָאת חֵן לִפְנֵי הָאֱלֹהִים.
לא כִּי הִנֵּה תַּהֲרִי וְתֵלְדִי בֵּן, וְתִקְרְאִי שְׁמוֹ יֵשׁוּעַ.
לב זֶה גָּדוֹל יִהְיֶה וּבֶן עֶלְיוֹן יִקָּרֵא, וַיהֹוָה אֱלֹהִים יִתֵּן לוֹ אֶת כִּסֵּא דָּוִד אָבִיו; וְיִמְלֹךְ עַל בֵּית יַעֲקֹב לְעוֹלָם,
לג וּלְמַלְכוּתוֹ לֹא יִהְיֶה קֵץ.
לד אָמְרָה מִרְיָם לַמַּלְאָךְ: אֵיךְ תִּהְיֶה זֹאת, כִּי אֵינֶנִּי יוֹדַעַת אִישׁ?
לה עָנָה הַמַּלְאָךְ וְאָמַר לָהּ: רוּחַ הַקֹּדֶשׁ תָּבוֹא וּגְבוּרַת עֶלְיוֹן תָּצֵל עָלַיִךְ; עַל כֵּן הַנּוֹלָד מִמֵּךְ קָדוֹשׁ הוּה, וּבֶן הָאֱלֹהִים יִקָּרֵא .
לו וְהִנֵּה אֱלִישֶׁבַע קְרוֹבָתֵךְ גַּם הִיא הָרְתָה בֵּן בְּזִקְנָתָהּ. וְזֶה הַחֹדֶשׁ הַשִּׁשִּׁי לָהּ, לָהּ אֲשֶׁר נִקְרֵאת עֲקָרָה;
לז כִּי לֹא יִפָּלֵא מֵאֱלֹהִים דָּבָר.
לח אָמְרָה מִרְיָם: הִנְנִי שִׁפְחַת יהוה, יְהִי לִי כִּדְבָרְךָ. וְהַמַּלְאָךְ הָלַךְ מֵאִמָּהּ.
לט וְקָמָה מִרְיָם בַּיָּמִים הָהֵם וּמִהֲרָה לָלֶכֶת אֶל הָהָר, לְעִרי יְהוּדָה.
מ וְנִכְנְסָה לְבֵית זְכַרְיָה וְשָׁאֲלָה בִּשְׁלוֹם אֱלִישֶׁבַע.
מא וְכַאֲשֶׁר שָׁמְעָה אֱלִישֶׁבַע אֶת בִּרְכַּת הַשָּׁלוֹם שֶׁל מִרְיָם, רָקַד הָעוֹלֵל בְּבִטְנָהּ; וְנִתְמַלְּאָה אֱלִישֶׁבַע רוּחַ הַקֹּדֶשׁ,
מב וְקָרְאָה בְּקוֹל גָּדוֹל וְאָמְרָה לְמִרְיָם: מְבֹרֶכֶת אַתְּ בַּנָּשִׁים, וּמְבֹרָךְ הַפְּרִי אֲשֶׁר בְּבִטְנֵךְ.
מג מֵאַיִן לִי זֹאת, שֶׁאֵם אֲדוֹנִי בָּאָה אֵלַי?
מד כִּי הִנֵּה כִּנְפֹל קוֹל בִּרְכָתֵךְ בְּאָזְנַי, רָקַד הָעוֹלֵל בְּשִׂמְחָה רַבָּה בְּבִטְנִי.
מה וְאַשְׁרֵי אֲשֶׁר הֶאֱמִינָה כִּי תִּהְיֶה הַשְׁלָמָה לַדְּבָרִים אֲשֶׁר דֻּבְּרוּ אֵלֶיהָ מֵאֵת יהוה .
מו וְאָמְרָה מִרְיָם: תְּרוֹמֵם נַפְשִׁי אֶת יהוה
מז וְתָגֵל רוּחִי בֵּאלֹהִים מוֹשִׁיעִי,
מח אֲשֶׁר הִבִּיט בְּשֵׁפֶל אֲמָתוֹ; כִּי הִנֵּה מֵעַתָּה בְּרוּכָה יִקְרָאוּנִי כָּל הַדּוֹרוֹת,
מט כִּי גְּדוֹלוֹת עָשָׂה לִי אֲשֶׁר גִּבּוֹר הוּא וְקָדוֹשׁ שְׁמוֹ,
נ וְרַחֲמָיו לְדוֹרֵי דוֹרוֹת עַל יְרֵאָיו.
נא פָּעַל נִצָּחוֹן בִּזְרוֹעוֹ, וּפִזֵּר גֵּאִים בְּמַחֲשֶׁבֶת לִבָּם.
נב מִגֵּר תַּקִּיפִים מִכִּסְאוֹתָם, וְהֵרִים שְׁפָלִים.
נג רְעֵבִים הִשְׂבִּיעַ טוּב, וַעֲשִׁירִים שִׁלַּח רֵיקָם.
נד עָזַר לְישְׂרָאֵל עַבְדּוֹ וְזָכַר אֶת רַחֲמָיו;
נה כְּפִי שֶׁדִּבֵּר עִם אֲבוֹתֵינוּ, עִם אַבְרָהָם וְעִם זַרְעוֹ לְעוֹלָם.
נו וְשָׁהֲתָה מִרְיָם אֵצֶל אֱלִישֶׁבַע כִּשְׁלוֹשָׁה חֳדָשִׁים, וְשָׁבָה לְבֵיתָהּ.
נז וְאֱלִישֶׁבַע הִגִּיעַ זְמַנָּהּ לָלֶדֶת
וְהִיא יָלְדָה בֵּן.
נח וְשָׁמְעוּ שְׁכֵנֶיהָ וּבְנֵי מִשְׁפַּחְתָּהּ כִּי הִגְדִּיל אֱלֹהִים חַסְדּוֹ עָלֶיהָ וְשָׂמְחוּ אִתָּהּ.
נט וּבַיּוֹם הַשְּׁמִינִי בָּאוּ לָמוּל אֶת הַיֶּלֶד, וְקָרְאוּ לוֹ בְּשֵׁם אָבִיו זְכַרְיָה.
ס וְעָנְתָה אִמּוֹ וְאָמְרָה לָהֶם: לֹא כָּךְ אֶלָּא יוֹחָנָן יִקָּרֵא. סא וְאָמְרוּ לָהּ: אֵין אִישׁ בְּמִשְׁפַּחְתֵּךְ אֲשֶׁר נִקְרָא בַּשֵּׁם הַזֶּה.
סב וְרָמְזוּ לְאָבִיו, אֵיך הוּא רוֹצֶה שֶׁיִּקְרְאוּ לוֹ.
סג וּבִקֵּשׁ לוּחַ וְכָתַב לֵאמֹר, יוֹחָנָן שְׁמוֹ; וְהִתְפַּלְּאוּ הַכֹּל.
סד וּמִיָּד נִפְתַּח פִּיו וּלְשׁוֹנוֹ, וְדִבֵּר וּבֵרֵךְ אֶת הָאֱלֹהִים.
סה וְהָיְתָה יִרְאָה עַל כָּל שְׁכֵנֵיהֶם; וּבְכָל הַר יְהוּדָה סֻפְּרוּ הַדְּבָרִים הָאֵלֶּה.
סו וְכָל הַשּׁוֹמְעִים הִרְהֲרוּ בְּלִבָּם וְאָמְרוּ: מָה אֵפוֹא יִהְיֶה הַיֶּלֶד הַזֶּה? וְיַד יהוה הָיְתָה עִמּוֹ.
סז וְנִתְמַלֵּא זְכַרְיָה אָבִיו רוּחַ הַקֹּדֶשׁ, וְהִתְנַבֵּא וְאָמַר:
סח בָּרוּךְ יהוה אֱלֹהֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל, כִּי פָּקַד אֶת עַמּוֹ וּפָעַל לוֹ יְשׁוּעָה;
סט וְהֵקִים לָנוּ קֶרֶן יְשׁוּעָה בְּבֵית דָּוִד עַבְדּוֹ,
ע כְּמוֹ שֶׁדִּבֵּר בְּפִי נְבִיאָיו הַקְּדוֹשִׁים אֲשֶׁר מֵעוֹלָם,
עא לְהוֹשִׁיעֵנוּ מֵאוֹיְבֵינוּ וּמִיַּד כָּל שׂוֹנֵאינוּ;
עב וְעָשָׂה חַסְדּוֹ עִם אֲבוֹתֵינוּ, וְזָכַר אֶת בְּרִיתוֹמָיו הַקְּדוֹשׁוֹת,
עג וְאֶת הַשְּׁבוּעוֹת אֲשֶׁר נִשְׁבַּע לְאַבְרָהָם אָבִינוּ,
עד לָתֵת לָנוּ לְהִוָּשַׁע מִיַּד אוֹיבֵינוּ; וּלְעָבְדוֹ בְּלִי פַּחַד
עה כָּל הַיָּמִים, בִּצְדָקָה וּבִקְדֻשָּׁה.
עו וְאֲתָּה, הַיֶּלֶד, נְבִיא עֶלְיוֹן תִּקָּרֵא, כִּי תֵּלֵךְ לְפְנֵי יהוה לְהָכִין אֶת דַּרְכּוֹ,
עז לְמַעַן יִתֵּן אֶת דַּעַת הַחַיִּים לְעַמּוֹ בִּסְלִיחַת חַטְּאוֹתֵיהֶם,
עח בְּרַחֲמֵי חֶסֶד אֱלֹהֵינוּ אֲשֶׁר בָּהֶם יִפְקְדֵנוּ הַנֹּגַהּ מִמָּרוֹם
עט לְהָאִיר לְיוֹשְׁבֵי חֹשֶׁךְ וְצַלְמָוֶת, לְיַשֵּׁר רַגְלֵינוּ בְּדֶרֶךְ הַשָׁלוֹם.
פ וְהַיֶּלֶד גָּדַל וְהִתְחַזֵּק בְּרוּחַ, וְהָיָה בַּמִדְבָּר עַד לְיוֹם הֵרָאוֹתוֹ אֶל יִשְׂרָאֵל.
