B'reshit Chapter 37
1 And Ya'akov dwelt in the land of his father’s sojournings, in the land of Kena'an. 2 These are the generations of Ya'akov. Yosef, being seventeen years old, was feeding the flock with his brethren, being still a lad even with the sons of Bilhah, and with the sons of Zilpah, his father’s wives; and Yosef brought evil report of them unto their father. 3 Now Yisra'el loved Yosef more than all his children, because he was the son of his old age; and he made him a very elaborate tunic. 4 And when his brethren saw that their father loved him more than all his brethren, they hated him, and could not speak peaceably unto him. 5 And Yosef dreamed a dream, and he told it to his brethren; and they hated him yet the more. 6 And he said unto them, "Hear, I pray, this dream which I have dreamed: 7 for, behold, we were binding sheaves in the field, and, lo, my sheaf arose, and also stood upright; and, behold, your sheaves came round about, and bowed down to my sheaf." 8 And his brethren said to him, "Shall you indeed reign over us? Or shall you indeed have dominion over us?" And they hated him yet the more for his dreams, and for his words. 9 And he dreamed yet another dream, and told it to his brethren, and said, "Behold, I have dreamed yet a dream: and, behold, the sun and the moon and eleven stars bowed down to me." 10 And he told it to his father, and to his brethren; and his father rebuked him, and said unto him, "What is this dream that you have dreamed? Shall I and your mother and your brethren indeed come to bow down to you to the earth?" 11 And his brethren envied him; but his father kept the saying in mind.
12 And his brethren went to feed their father’s flock in Shekhem. 13 And Yisra'el said unto Yosef, "Do not your brethren feed the flock in Shekhem? Come, and I will send you unto them." And he said to him, "Here am I." 14 And he said to him, "Go now, see whether it is well with your brethren, and well with the flock; and bring me back word." So he sent him out of the vale of Khevron, and he came to Shekhem. 15 And a certain man found him, and, behold, he was wandering in the field. And the man asked him, saying, "What do you seek?" 16 And he said, "I seek my brethren. Tell me, I pray, where they are feeding the flock." 17 And the man said, "They are departed hence; for I heard them say, 'Let us go to Dotan'." And Yosef went after his brethren, and found them in Dotan. 18 And they saw him afar off, and before he came near unto them, they conspired against him to slay him. 19 And they said one to another, "Behold, this dreamer comes. 20 Come now therefore, and let us slay him, and cast him into one of the pits, and we will say, 'An evil beast has devoured him;' and we shall see what will become of his dreams." 21 And Re'uven heard it, and delivered him out of their hand; and said, "Let us not take his life." 22 And Re'uven said unto them, "Shed no blood; cast him into this pit that is in the wilderness, but lay no hand upon him", that he might deliver him out of their hand, to restore him to his father. 23 And it came to pass, when Yosef was come unto his brethren, that they stripped Yosef of his tunic, the very elaborate tunic that was on him; 24 and they took him, and cast him into the pit, and the pit was empty, there was no water in it. 25 And they sat down to eat bread; and they lifted up their eyes and looked, and, behold, a caravan of Yishma'elim came from Gilad, with their camels bearing spicery and balm and ladanum, going to carry it down to Mitzrayim. 26 And Yehudah said unto his brethren, "What profit is it if we slay our brother and conceal his blood? 27 Come, and let us sell him to the Yishma'elim, and let not our hand be upon him; for he is our brother, our flesh." And his brethren hearkened unto him. 28 And there passed by Midyanim, merchantmen; and they drew and lifted up Yosef out of the pit, and sold Yosef to the Yishma'elim for twenty shekels of silver. And they brought Yosef into Mitzrayim. 29 And Re'uven returned unto the pit; and, behold, Yosef was not in the pit; and he rent his clothes. 30 And he returned unto his brethren, and said, "The child is not; and as for me, where shall I go?" 31 And they took Yosef’s tunic, and killed a he-goat, and dipped the tunic in the blood; 32 and they sent the very elaborate tunic, and they brought it to their father; and said, "This have we found. Know now whether it is your son’s tunic or not." 33 And he knew it, and said, "It is my son’s tunic; an evil beast has devoured him; Yosef is without doubt torn in pieces." 34 And Ya'akov rent his garments, and put sackcloth upon his loins, and mourned for his son many days. 35 And all his sons and all his daughters rose up to comfort him; but he refused to be comforted; and he said, "Nay, but I will go down to the grave to my son mourning." And his father wept for him. 36 And the Midyanim sold him into Mitzrayim unto Potifar, an officer of Paroh's, the captain of the guard.

B'reshit Chapter 38
1 And it came to pass at that time, that Yehudah went down from his brethren, and turned in to a certain Adulami, whose name was Khirah. 2 And Yehudah saw there a daughter of a certain Kena'ani whose name was Shu'ah; and he took her, and went in unto her. 3 And she conceived, and bore a son; and he called his name Eir. 4 And she conceived again, and bore a son; and she called his name Onan. 5 And she yet again bore a son, and called his name Shelah; and he was at Kheziv, when she bore him. 6 And Yehudah took a wife for Eir his firstborn, and her name was Tamar. 7 And Eir, Yehudah's firstborn, was wicked in the sight of יהוה ; and יהוה slew him. 8 And Yehudah said unto Onan, "Go in unto your brother's wife, and perform the duty of a husband's brother unto her, and raise up seed to your brother." 9 And Onan knew that the seed would not be his; and it came to pass when he went in unto his brother's wife, that he spilled it on the ground, lest he should give seed to his brother. 10 And the thing which he did was evil in the sight of יהוה ; and He slew him also. 11 Then Yehudah said to Tamar his daughter-in-law, "Remain a widow in your father's house, till Shelah my son is grown up;" for he said, "Lest he also die, like his brethren." And Tamar went and dwelt in her father's house. 12 And in process of time Shu'ah's daughter, the wife of Yehudah, died; and Yehudah was comforted, and went up unto his sheep-shearers to Timnatah, he and his friend Khirah the Adulami. 13 And it was told Tamar, saying, "Behold, your father-in-law goes up to Timnatah to shear his sheep." 14 And she put off from her the garments of her widowhood, and covered herself with her veil, and wrapped herself, and sat in the entrance of Enayim, which is by the way to Timnatah; for she saw that Shelah was grown up, and she was not given unto him as a wife. 15 When Yehudah saw her, he thought her to be a harlot; for she had covered her face. 16 And he turned unto her by the way, and said, "Come, I pray, let me come in unto you;" for he knew not that she was his daughter-in-law. And she said, "What will you give me, that you may come in unto me?" 17 And he said, "I will send you a kid of the goats from the flock." And she said, "Will you give me a pledge, till you send it?" 18 And he said, "What pledge shall I give you?" And she said, "Your signet and your petil, and your staff that is in your hand." And he gave them to her, and came in unto her, and she conceived by him. 19 And she arose, and went away, and put off her veil from her, and put on the garments of her widowhood. 20 And Yehudah sent the kid of the goats by the hand of his friend the Adulami, to receive the pledge from the woman's hand; but he found her not. 21 Then he asked the men of her place, saying, "Where is the harlot that was at Enayim by the wayside?" And they said, "There has been no harlot here." 22 And he returned to Yehudah, and said, "I have not found her"; and also the men of the place said, "There has been no harlot here." 23 And Yehudah said, "Let her take it, lest we are put to shame; behold, I sent this kid, and you have not found her." 24 And it came to pass about three khadashim after, that it was told Yehudah, saying, "Tamar your daughter-in-law has played the harlot; and moreover, behold, she is with child by harlotry." And Yehudah said, "Bring her forth, and she shall burn." 25 When she was brought forth, she sent to her father-in-law, saying, "By the man whose these are am I with child." And she said, "Discern, I pray, whose are these, the signet, and the petilim, and the staff." 26 And Yehudah acknowledged them, and said, "She is more righteous than I; forasmuch as I gave her not to Shelah my son." And he knew her again no more. 27 And it came to pass in the time of her travail, that, behold, twins were in her womb. 28 And it came to pass, when she travailed, that one put out a hand; and the midwife took and bound upon his hand a scarlet thread, saying, "This came out first." 29 And it came to pass, as he drew back his hand, that, behold, his brother came out; and she said, "Why have you made a breach for yourself?" Therefore his name was called Peretz. 30 And afterward came out his brother, that had the scarlet thread upon his hand; and his name was called Zarakh.

B'reshit Chapter 39
1 And Yosef was brought down to Mitzrayim; and Potifar, an officer of Paroh's, the captain of the guard, a Mitzri, bought him of the hand of the Yishma'elim, that had brought him down there. 2 And יהוה was with Yosef, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Mitzri. 3 And his master saw that יהוה was with him, and that יהוה made all that he did to prosper in his hand. 4 And Yosef found favor in his sight, and he ministered unto him. And he appointed him overseer over his house, and all that he had he put into his hand. 5 And it came to pass from the time that he appointed him overseer in his house, and over all that he had, that יהוה blessed the Mitzri's house for Yosef's sake; and the blessing of יהוה was upon all that he had, in the house and in the field. 6 And he left all that he had in Yosef's hand; and, having him, he knew not aught save the bread which he did eat. And Yosef was of beautiful form, and fair to look upon.
7 And it came to pass after these things, that his master's wife cast her eyes upon Yosef; and she said, "Lie with me." 8 But he refused, and said unto his master's wife, "Behold, my master, having me, knows not what is in the house, and he has put all that he has into my hand; 9 he is not greater in this house than I; neither has he kept back any thing from me but you, because you are his wife. How then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against Elohim?" 10 And it came to pass, as she spoke to Yosef day by day, that he hearkened not unto her, to lie by her, or to be with her. 11 And it came to pass on a certain day, when he went into the house to do his work, and there was none of the men of the house there within, 12 that she caught him by his garment, saying, "Lie with me." And he left his garment in her hand, and fled, and got him out. 13 And it came to pass, when she saw that he had left his garment in her hand, and was fled forth, 14 that she called unto the men of her house, and spoke unto them, saying, "See, he has brought in an Ivri unto us to mock us; he came in unto me to lie with me, and I cried with a loud voice. 15 And it came to pass, when he heard that I lifted up my voice and cried, that he left his garment by me, and fled, and got him out." 16 And she laid up his garment by her, until his master came home. 17 And she spoke unto him according to these words, saying, "The Ivri servant, whom you have brought unto us, came in unto me to mock me. 18 And it came to pass, as I lifted up my voice and cried, that he left his garment by me, and fled out." 19 And it came to pass, when his master heard the words of his wife, which she spoke unto him, saying, "After this manner your servant did to me," that his wrath was kindled. 20 And Yosef's master took him, and put him into the prison, the place where the king's prisoners were bound; and he was there in the prison. 21 But יהוה was with Yosef, and showed kindness unto him, and gave him favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison. 22 And the keeper of the prison committed to Yosef's hand all the prisoners that were in the prison; and whatever they did there, he was the doer of it. 23 The keeper of the prison looked not to any thing that was under his hand, because יהוה was with him; and that which he did, יהוה made it to prosper.

B'reshit Chapter 40
1 And it came to pass after these things, that the butler of the king of Mitzrayim and his baker offended their Adon the king of Mitzrayim. 2 And Paroh was wroth against his two officers, against the chief of the butlers, and against the chief of the bakers. 3 And he put them in custody in the house of the captain of the guard, into the prison, the place where Yosef was bound. 4 And the captain of the guard charged Yosef to be with them, and he ministered unto them; and they continued a season in custody. 5 And they dreamed a dream both of them, each man his dream, in one night, each man according to the interpretation of his dream, the butler and the baker of the king of Mitzrayim, who were bound in the prison. 6 And Yosef came in unto them in the morning, and saw them, and, behold, they were sad. 7A nd he asked Paroh's officers that were with him in the ward of his master's house, saying, "Why do you look so sad today?" 8 And they said unto him, "We have dreamed a dream, and there is none that can interpret it." And Yosef said unto them, "Do not interpretations belong to Elohim? Tell it to me, I pray." 9 And the chief butler told his dream to Yosef, and said to him, "In my dream, behold, a vine was before me; 10 and in the vine were three branches; and as it was budding, its blossoms shot forth, and the clusters thereof brought forth ripe grapes, 11 and Paroh's cup was in my hand; and I took the grapes, and pressed them into Paroh's cup, and I gave the cup into Paroh's hand." 12 And Yosef said unto him, "This is the interpretation of it: the three branches are three days; 13 within yet three days shall Paroh lift up your head, and restore you unto your office; and you shall give Paroh's cup into his hand, after the former manner when you were his butler. 14 But have me in your remembrance when it shall be well with you, and show kindness, I pray, unto me, and make mention of me unto Paroh, and bring me out of this house. 15 For indeed I was stolen away out of the land of the Ivrim; and here also have I done nothing that they should put me into the dungeon." 16 When the chief baker saw that the interpretation was good, he said unto Yosef, "I also saw in my dream, and, behold, three baskets of white bread were on my head; 17 and in the uppermost basket there was of all manner of baked food for Paroh; and the birds did eat them out of the basket upon my head." 18 And Yosef answered and said, "This is the interpretation thereof: the three baskets are three days; 19 within yet three days shall Paroh lift up your head from off you, and shall hang you on a tree; and the birds shall eat your flesh from off you." 20 And it came to pass the third day, which was Paroh's birthday, that he made a feast unto all his servants; and he lifted up the head of the chief butler and the head of the chief baker among his servants. 21 And he restored the chief butler back unto his butlership; and he gave the cup into Paroh's hand. 22 But he hanged the chief baker, as Yosef had interpreted to them. 23 Yet did not the chief butler remember Yosef, but forgot him.

HAFTARAH

Amos Chapter 2
6 "Thus says יהוה , 'For three transgressions of Yisra'el, yes, for four, I will not reverse it, because they sell a Tzadik for silver, and the needy for a pair of shoes; 7 that pant after the dust of the earth on the head of the poor, and turn aside the way of the humble; and a man and his father go unto the same maid, to profane My Kadosh Name; 8 and they lay themselves down beside every altar upon clothes taken in pledge, and in the house of their Elohim they drink the wine of them that have been fined. 9 Yet I destroyed the Amori before them, whose height was like the height of the cedars, and he was strong as the oaks; yet I destroyed his fruit from above, and his roots from beneath. 10 Also I brought you up out of the land of Mitzrayim, and led you forty years in the wilderness, to possess the land of the Amori. 11 And I raised up of your sons for Nevi'im, and of your young men for Nezirim. Is it not even thus, O you B'nei Yisra'el, says יהוה . But 12 you gave the Nezirim wine to drink; and commanded the Nevi'im, saying, 'Do not prophesy!' 13 Behold, I will make it creak under you, as a cart creaks that is full of sheaves. 14 And flight shall fail the swift, and the strong shall not exert his strength, neither shall the mighty deliver himself; 15 neither shall he stand that handles the bow; and he that is swift of foot shall not deliver himself; neither shall he that rides the horse deliver himself; 16 and he that is courageous among the mighty shall flee away naked in that day, says יהוה .'"

Amos Chapter 3
1 "Hear HaDavar HaZeh that יהוה has spoken against you, O B'nei Yisra'el, against the whole family which I brought up out of the land of Mitzrayim, saying, 2 'You only have I known of all the families of the earth; therefore I will visit upon you all your iniquities. 3 Will two walk together, except they have agreed? 4 Will a lion roar in the forest, when he has no prey? Will a young lion give forth his voice out of his den, if he has taken nothing? 5 Will a bird fall in a snare upon the earth, where there is no lure for it? Will a snare spring up from the ground, when it has taken nothing at all? 6 Shall the shofar be blasted in a city, and the people not tremble? Shall evil befall a city, and יהוה has not done it? 7 For Adonai יהוה will do nothing, but that He reveals His Sod unto His servants the Nevi'im. 8 The lion has roared. Who will not fear? Adonai יהוה has spoken, who can but prophesy?

KETUVIM

Tehillah (Psalm) Chapter 112
1 Hallelu Yah! Happy is the man that fears יהוה , that delights greatly in His Mitzvot. 2 His seed shall be mighty upon earth; the generation of the upright shall be blessed. 3 Wealth and riches are in his house; and his merit endures forever. 4 Unto the upright He shines as a light in the darkness, gracious, and full of mercy, and a Tzadik. 5 Well is it with the man that deals graciously and lends, that orders his affairs
rightfully. 6 For he shall never be moved; a Tzadik shall be had in everlasting remembrance. 7 He shall not be afraid of evil tidings; his heart is stedfast, trusting in יהוה .
8 His heart is established, he shall not be afraid, until he gazes upon his adversaries. 9 He has scattered abroad, he has given to the needy; his tzedaka endures forever; his horn shall be exalted in honor. 10 The wicked shall see it, and be vexed; he shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away; the desire of the wicked shall perish.

BRIT KHADASHAH

Yokhanan Chapter 2
13 And the Pesakh of the Yehudim was nearing, so Yeshua went up to Yerushalayim. 14 And He found in the Heikhal those who were buying oxen and sheep and doves, and the money changers sitting. 15 And He made a whip of cords, and drove them all out of the Heikhal, even the sheep and the oxen and the money changers; and He threw out their exchange money and turned over their trays; 16 And to those who sold doves He said, “Take these away from here; do not make Beit Avi a house of trading.” 17 And His Talmidim remembered that it is written, “Zeal for Your house has devoured me.” 18 The Y’hudim answered, saying to Him, “What sign do you show us, that you are doing these things?” 19 Yeshua answered, saying to them, “Tear down this Heikhal, and in three days I will raise it up.” 20 The Y’hudim said to Him, “It took forty-six years to build this Heikhal, and will you raise it up in three days?” 21 But He spoke concerning the Heikhal of His body. 22 When He rose from the dead, His Talmidim remembered that He had said this; and they believed the scriptures and HaDavar which Yeshua had said.
23 Now when Yeshua was in Yerushalayim at the Pesakh, during the Khag, a great many believed in Him, because they saw the miracles which He did. 24 But Yeshua did not entrust Himself to them, because He understood every man. 25 And He needed no man to testify to Him concerning any man; for He knew well what was in man.

Yokhanan Chapter 3
1 There was at that place a man of the P’rushim, named Nak'dimon, a leader of the Y’hudim. 2 He came at night to Yeshua and said to Him, “Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher sent from Elohim; for no man can do these miracles that you are doing unless Elohim is with him.” 3 Yeshua answered, saying to him, “Amein, amein, I say to you, if a man is not born anew, he cannot see Malkhut HaElohim.” 4 Nak'dimon said to Him, “How can an old man be born anew? Can he enter again a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?” 5 Yeshua answered, saying to him, “Amein, amein, I say to you, if a man is not born of water and HaRu'akh, he cannot enter into Malkhut HaElohim. 6 What is born of flesh is flesh; and what is born of HaRu'akh is spirit. 7 Do not be surprised because I have told you that you all must be born anew. 8 The wind blows where it pleases, and you hear its sound, but you do not know from where it comes and where it goes; such is every man who is born of HaRu'akh.” 9 Nak'dimon answered, saying to Him, “How can these things be?” 10 Yeshua answered, “You are a teacher of Yisra’el, and yet you do not understand these things? 11 Amein, amein, I say to you, we speak only what we know, and we testify only to what we have seen; and yet you do not accept our testimony. 12 If I have told you about earthly things and you do not trust, how then will you trust in me if I tell you about heavenly things? 13 No man has ascended to Heaven except Him who came down from Heaven, even Ben HaAdam who is in Heaven. 14 Just as Moshe lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so Ben HaAdam is ready to be lifted up, 15 so that every man who trusts in Him should not perish, but have eternal life. 16 For Elohim so loved the world that He gave His Ben Yakhid, so that whoever firmly trusts in Him should not perish, but have eternal life. 17 For Elohim did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world should live because of Him. 18 He who firmly trusts in Him will not be condemned; and he who does not firmly trust has already been condemned for not trusting in the Name of Ben HaElohim HaYakhid. 19 And this is the judgment: that light has come into the world, and yet men have loved darkness more than light, because their works were evil. 20 For everyone who does abominable things hates the light, and he does not come to the light, because his works cannot be covered. 21 But he who does HaEmet comes to the light, so that his works may be known, that they are done through Elohim.”
22 After these things, Yeshua and His Talmidim came to the land of Y’hudah, and He remained there with them and immersed. 23 Yokhanan also was immersing at the spring of Einon near to Shalim, because there was much water there; and they came and were immersed. 24 For Yokhanan was not yet cast into prison. 25 Now it happened that a dispute arose between one of Yokhanan’s Talmidim and a Y'hudi about the ceremony of purifying. 26 So they came to Yokhanan and told him, “Teacher, He who was with you at the Yarden crossing, concerning whom you testified, behold, He also is immersing, and a great many are coming to Him.” 27 Yokhanan answered, saying to them, “No man can receive anything of his own will, except it is given to him from Heaven. 28 You yourselves bear me witness that I said I am not the Mashi'akh, but only a messenger to go before Him. 29 He who has a bride is the bridegroom; and the friend of the bridegroom is he who stands up and listens to Him, and rejoices greatly because of the bridegroom’s voice; this my joy, therefore, is fulfilled. 30 He must increase, and I must decrease. 31 For He who has come from above is above all; and he who is of the earth is of the earth, and he speaks of earthly things; but He who has come from Heaven is above all. 32 And He testifies of what He has seen and heard, and yet no man accepts His testimony. 33 He who accepts His testimony has set his seal that Elohim is true. 34 For He whom Elohim has sent speaks Divrei Elohim; for Elohim did not give HaRu'akh by measure. 35 HaAv loves HaBen, and has placed everything under His hand. 36 He who believes in HaBen has eternal life; and he who does not obey HaBen shall not see life, but the wrath of Elohim shall remain on him.”

Yokhanan Chapter 4
1 When Yeshua knew that the P’rushim had heard He made many talmidim and was immersing more people than Yokhanan, 2 though Yeshua Himself did not immerse, but His Talmidim, 3 He left Y’hudah and came again to the Galil.
4 He had to go through the way of the land of Shomron. 5 Then He came to a city in Shomron called Sukhar, near the field which Ya’akov had given to his son Yosef. 6 Now Ya’akov’s well was there; and Yeshua was tired by the fatigue of the journey, and sat down by the well. It was about the sixth hour. 7 And there came a woman of Shomron to draw water; and Yeshua said to her, “Give me water to drink.” 8 His Talmidim had entered into the city to buy food for themselves. 9 The woman of Shomron said to Him, “How is it You are a Yehudi, and yet you ask me for a drink, who am a woman of Shomron? For Yehudim have no social dealings with Shomronim.” 10 Yeshua answered, saying to her, “If you only knew the gift of Elohim and who is the Man who said to you, ‘Give me a drink,' you would have asked Him, and He would have given you Mayim Khayim.” 11 The woman said to Him, "My Adon, you have no leather bucket and no deep well; where do you get ‘living water?' 12 What, are you greater than our father Ya’akov, who gave us this well, and he himself drank from it, and his sons and his sheep?” 13 Yeshua answered, saying to her, “Everyone who drinks of this water will thirst again; 14 but whoever drinks of the water which I give him shall never thirst; but the same water which I give him shall become in him a well of water springing up to Khayei Olam.” 15 The woman said to Him, “My Adon, give me of this water, so that I may not thirst again and need not come and draw from here.” 16 Yeshua said to her, “Go and call your husband, and come here.” 17 She said to him, “I have no husband.” Yeshua said to her, “You said well, ‘I have no husband;' 18 for you have had five husbands; and the one you now have is not your husband; what you said is true.” 19 Then the woman said to Him, “My Adon, I see that you are a navi. 20 Our fathers worshipped on this mountain; and you say that the place where men must worship is in Yerushalayim.” 21 Yeshua said to her, “Woman, believe me, the time is coming when neither on this mountain nor in Yerushalayim will they worship HaAv. 22 You worship what you do not know; but we worship what we do know; for life is from the Yehudim. 23 But the time is coming, and it is here, when the true worshippers shall worship HaAv in Ru'akh V'Emet; for HaAv also desires worshippers such as these. 24 For Elohim is Ru'akh; and those who worship Him must worship Him in Ru'akh V'Emet.” 25 The woman said to Him, “I know that the Mashi'akh is coming; when He is come, He will teach us everything.” 26 Yeshua said to her, “I am He, the one speaking to you.”
27 While He was talking, His Talmidim came and were surprised that He was talking with a married woman; but no one said to Him, ‘What do you want?' or, ‘Why are you talking with her?' 28 The woman then left her water jar, and went to the city and said to the men, 29 “Come and see a man who told me everything which I have done; What, is He the Mashi'akh?” 30 And the men went out of the city, and came to Him. 31 During the interval His Talmidim begged Him, saying, “Adoneinu, eat.” 32 But He said to them, “I have food to eat of which you do not know.” 33 The Talmidim said among themselves, “What, did any man bring Him something to eat?” 34 Yeshua said to them, “My food is to do the will of Him who sent me, and to finish His work. 35 Do you not say that after four months comes the harvest? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields which have turned white, and have long been ready for the harvest. 36 And he who reaps receives wages and gathers fruits to Khayei Olam, so that the sower and the reaper may rejoice together. 37 For in this case the saying is true, ‘One sows and another reaps.' 38 I sent you to reap that for which you did not labor; for others labored, and you have entered into their labor.” 39 A great many Shomronim of that city believed in Him because of the word of that woman, who testified, ‘He told me everything which I have done.' 40 So when the Shomronim came to Him, they begged Him to stay with them; and He stayed with them two days. 41 And a great many believed in Him because of His word; 42 and they were saying to the woman, “Henceforth it is not because of your word that we believe in Him; for we ourselves have heard and know that this is indeed the Mashi'akh, Moshi'ah HaOlam.”

Ma’asei HaShlikhim Chapter 7
9 And our fathers were jealous of Yosef; so they sold him into Mitzrayim; but Elohim was with him, 10 and He delivered him from all his oppressors and gave him favor and wisdom before Paroh, king of Mitzrayim; and Paroh appointed Yosef to be overlord over Mitzrayim and over all his house. 11 Now there came a famine which brought great distress throughout Mitzrayim and the land of Kena’an so that our forefathers found no sustenance. 12 But when Ya’akov heard that there was wheat in Mitzrayim, he sent out our fathers on their first venture. 13 When they went the second time, Yosef made himself known to his brothers; and Yosef’s family was made known to Paroh. 14 Then Yosef sent and brought his father Ya’akov and all his family, seventy-five souls in number. 15 So Ya’akov went down to Mitzrayim where he and our fathers died. 16 And he was removed to Shekhem and buried in the tomb which Avraham had bought for a sum of money from the sons of Khamor.”
