Shemot Chapter 21
1 "Now these are the Mishpatim which you shall set before them. 2 If you buy a Hebrew servant, six years he shall serve; and in the seventh he shall go out free for nothing. 3 If he comes in by himself, he shall go out by himself; if he is married, then his wife shall go out with him. 4 If his master gives him a wife, and she bears him sons or daughters; the wife and her children shall be her master's, and he shall go out by himself. 5 But if the servant shall plainly say, 'I love my master, my wife, and my children; I will not go out free,' 6 then his master shall bring him unto Elohim, and shall bring him to the door, or unto the door-post; and his master shall bore his ear through with an awl; and he shall serve him forever. 7 And if a man sells his daughter to be a maid-servant, she shall not go out as the men-servants do. 8 If she pleases not her master, who has espoused her to himself, then shall he let her be redeemed; to sell her unto a foreign people he shall have no power, seeing he has dealt deceitfully with her. 9 And if he espouses her unto his son, he shall deal with her after the manner of daughters. 10 If he takes him another wife, her food, her raiment, and her conjugal rights, shall he not diminish. 11 And if he does not these three unto her, then shall she go out for nothing, without money. 12 He that smites a man, so that he dies, shall surely be put to death. 13 And if a man lies not in wait, but Elohim causes it to come to hand, then I will appoint you a place to where he may flee. 14 And if a man comes presumptuously upon his neighbor, to slay him with guile, you shall take him from My Mizbe'akh, that he may die. 15 And he that smites his father, or his mother, shall be surely put to death. 16 And he that steals a man, and sells him, or if he is found in his hand, he shall surely be put to death. 17 And he that curses his father or his mother shall surely be put to death. 18 And if men contend, and one smites the other with a stone, or with his fist, and he dies not, but keeps his bed, 19 if he rises again, and walks abroad upon his staff, then shall he that smote him be quit; only he shall pay for the loss of his time, and shall cause him to be thoroughly healed. 20 And if a man smites his servant or his maidservant with a rod, and he dies under his hand, he shall surely be punished. 21 Notwithstanding, if he continues a day or two, he shall not be punished; for he is his money. 22 And if men strive together, and hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit departs, and yet no harm follows, he shall be surely fined, according as the woman’s husband shall lay upon him; and he shall pay as the shoftim determine. 23 But if any harm follows, then you shall give life for life, 24 eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, 25 burning for burning, wound for wound, stripe for stripe. 26 And if a man smites the eye of his servant, or the eye of his maidservant, and destroys it, he shall let him go free for his eye’s sake. 27 And if he smites out his bondman’s tooth, or his bondwoman’s tooth, he shall let him go free for his tooth’s sake."
28 "And if an ox gores a man or a woman, that they die, the ox shall be surely stoned, and its flesh shall not be eaten; but the owner of the ox shall be quit. 29 But if the ox was wont to gore in times past, and warning has been given to its owner, and he has not kept it in, but it has killed a man or a woman, the ox shall be stoned, and its owner also shall be put to death. 30 If there is laid on him a ransom, then he shall give for the redemption of his life whatever is laid upon him. 31 Whether it has gored a son, or has gored a daughter, according to this judgment shall it be done unto him. 32 If the ox gores a servant or a maidservant, he shall give unto their master thirty shekels of silver, and the ox shall be stoned. 33 And if a man shall open a pit, or if a man shall dig a pit and not cover it, and an ox or a donkey falls therein, 34 the owner of the pit shall make it good; he shall give money unto the owner of them, and the dead beast shall be his. 35 And if one man’s ox hurts another's, so that it dies, then they shall sell the live ox, and divide the price of it; and the dead also they shall divide. 36 Or if it is known that the ox was wont to gore in times past, and its owner has not kept it in, he shall surely pay ox for ox, and the dead beast shall be his own. 37 If a man steals an ox, or a sheep, and kills it, or sells it, he shall pay five oxen for an ox, and four sheep for a sheep."

Yirme-Yahu Chapter 34
8 HaDavar that came unto Yirme-Yahu from יהוה , after that HaMelekh Tzidki-Yahu had made a covenant with all the people that were at Yerushalayim, to proclaim liberty unto them; 9 that every man should let his manservant, and every man his maidservant, being an Ivri or an Ivri'ah, go free; that none should make servants of them, even of a Yehudi his brother; 10 and all the princes and all the people hearkened, that had entered into the covenant to let every one his man-servant, and every one his maid-servant, go free, and not to make servants of them any more; they hearkened, and let them go; 11 but afterwards they turned, and caused the servants and the handmaids, whom they had let go free, to return, and brought them into subjection for servants and for handmaids. 12 Therefore, the D'var יהוה came to Yirme-Yahu from יהוה , saying, 13 "Thus says יהוה , Elohei Yisra'el, 'I made a Brit with your fathers in the day that I brought them forth out of the land of Mitzrayim, out of the house of bondage, saying, 14 'At the end of seven years you shall let go every man his brother that is an Ivri, that has been sold unto you, and has served you six years, you shall let him go free from you;' but your fathers hearkened not unto Me, neither inclined their ear. 15 And you were now turned, and had done that which is right in My eyes, in proclaiming liberty every man to his neighbor; and you had made a covenant before Me in the house whereon My Name is called; 16 but you turned and profaned My Name, and caused every man his servant, and every man his handmaid, whom you had let go free at their pleasure, to return; and you brought them into subjection, to be unto you for servants and for handmaids. 17 Therefore, thus says יהוה , 'You have not hearkened unto Me, to proclaim liberty, every man to his brother, and every man to his neighbor; behold, I proclaim for you a liberty, says יהוה , unto the sword, unto the pestilence, and unto the famine; and I will make you a horror unto all the kingdoms of the earth. 18 And I will give the men that have transgressed My Brit, that have not performed the words of the Brit which they made before Me, when they cut the calf in two and passed between the parts thereof; 19 the princes of Yehudah, and the princes of Yerushalayim, the officers, and the priests, and all the people of the land, that passed between the parts of the calf; 20 I will even give them into the hand of their enemies, and into the hand of them that seek their life; and their dead bodies shall be for food unto the fowls of the heaven, and to the beasts of the earth. 21 And Tzidki-Yahu Melekh Yehudah and his princes will I give into the hand of their enemies, and into the hand of them that seek their life, and into the hand of the king of Bavel's army, that are gone up from you. 22 Behold, I will command, says יהוה , and cause them to return to this city; and they shall fight against it, and take it, and burn it with fire; and I will make the cities of Yehudah a desolation, without inhabitant'.'"

Luka Chapter 7
1 When He had finished all of these words in the hearing of the people, Yeshua entered K’far Nakhum. 2 Now the servant of a centurion was seriously sick, one who was very dear to him; and he was near death. 3 And when he heard about Yeshua, he sent to him elders of the Yehudim, and besought Him to come and heal his servant. 4 When they came to Yeshua, they begged him earnestly, saying, “He is worthy to have this done for him; 5 for he loves our people, and has even built us a Beit K’nesset.” 6 Yeshua went with them. And when He was not far from the house, the centurion sent some of his friends to Him, and said, “My Adon, do not trouble yourself; for I am not worthy that you should enter under my roof; 7 that is why I was not worthy to come to you; but just say a word and my servant will be healed. 8 For I am also a man under authority, and there are soldiers under my command; and I say to this one, ‘Go,' and he goes; and to another, ‘Come,' and he comes; and to my servant, ‘Do this,' and he does it.” 9 When Yeshua heard these things, He was amazed at him, and He turned and said to the people who followed him, “I say to you, not even in Yisra’el have I found such Emunah as this.” 10 So those who were sent returned to the house, and found the servant who was sick, healed.
11 And it came to pass on the next day He was going to a city called Nayn; and His Talmidim were with Him, and many people. 12 And when they came near the gate of the city, He saw a dead man being carried out, who was the only son of his mother, and his mother was a widow; and many people of the city were with her. 13 When Yeshua saw her, He had compassion on her, and said to her, “Weep not.” 14 Then He went and touched the coffin, and those who carried it stood still. And He said, “Young man, I tell you, arise.” 15 And the dead man sat up and began to speak. And He gave him to his mother. 16 And all men were seized with fear; and they praised Elohim, saying, “A great Navi is risen among us, and Elohim has visited His people.” 17 And this word about Him went out through all Yehudah, and through the country around them. 18 And Yokhanan’s Talmidim told him all these things.
19 So Yokhanan called two of his Talmidim and sent them to Yeshua, and said, “Are you the one who is to come, or are we to expect another?” 20 And they came to Yeshua and said to Him, “Yokhanan HaMatbil has sent us to you, saying, ‘Are you the one who is to come, or are we to expect another?'” 21 In that very hour He healed a great many people of their diseases and plagues, and of evil spirits; and He gave sight to many blind men. 22 So Yeshua answered, saying to them, “Go and tell Yokhanan everything that you have seen and heard, that the blind see, and the lame walk, and lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, and the dead rise up, and the poor are given hope. 23 And happy is he who does not stumble on account of me.” 24 When Yokhanan’s talmidim had gone, Yeshua began to speak to the people concerning Yokhanan. “What did you go out to the wilderness to see? A reed which is shaken by the wind? 25 If not so, what did you go out to see? A man dressed in fine clothes? Behold, those who wear fine clothes and live delicately are in kings' houses. 26 And if not so, what did you go out to see? A navi? Yes, I say to you, and much more than a navi. 27 This is he of whom it is written, ‘Behold, I send my messenger before you to prepare the way before you.' 28 I say to you that there is no navi among those who are born of women who is greater than Yokhanan HaMatbil; and yet even the least person in Malkhut HaElohim is greater than he.” 29 And all the people who heard it, even the tax collectors, justified themselves before Elohim, for they were immersed with the immersion of Yokhanan. 30 But the P’rushim and the Sofrim rejected the will of Elohim in themselves, because they were not immersed by him. 31 “To whom, therefore, shall I liken the men of this nation, and to what are they like? 32 They are like boys who sit in the street, and call to their friends and say, ‘We have sung to you but you did not dance; and we have wailed to you and you did not weep.' 33 For Yokhanan HaMatbil came neither eating bread nor drinking wine; and you say ‘He is insane.' 34 Ben HaAdam came, eating and drinking; and you say, ‘Behold, a glutton and a winebibber, and a friend of tax collectors and sinners!' 35 And yet wisdom is justified by all its works.”
36 Then one of the P’rushim came and asked Him to eat with him. And He entered the house of that Parush and reclined as a guest. 37 Now there was in that city a woman who was a sinner; and when she knew that He was a guest in the Parush’s house, she took an alabaster cruse of perfume, 38 and stood behind Him at his feet, weeping, and she began to wet His feet with her tears and to wipe them with the hair of her head, and she kissed His feet and anointed them with perfume. 39 When the Parush who had invited Him saw it, he reasoned in himself and said, “If this man were a navi, He would have known who she is and her reputation; for the woman who has touched Him is a sinner.” 40 Yeshua answered, saying to him, “Shimon, I have something to tell you.” He said to him, “Say it, Rabbi.” Yeshua said to him, 41 “There were two men who were debtors to a certain creditor; one of them owed him five hundred denarii, and the other fifty denarii. 42 And because they had nothing to pay, he forgave them both. Which one of them will love him more?” 43 Shimon answered, saying, “I think the one to whom he forgave more.” Yeshua said to him, “You have judged truly.” 44 And He turned to the woman, and said to Shimon, “Do you see this woman? When I entered your house, you did not give me even water for my feet; but she has wet my feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair. 45 You did not kiss me; but she, since she entered, has not ceased to kiss my feet. 46 You did not anoint my head with oil; but she has anointed my feet with perfume. 47 For this reason I say to you, her many sins are forgiven, so she loved much; but he to whom little is forgiven, loves little.” 48 And He said to the woman, “Your sins are forgiven.” 49 Then the guests began to say within themselves, “Who is this man who forgives even sins?” 50 So Yeshua said to the woman, “Your Emunah has brought you life; go in shalom.” | לוקא פרק ז
