VaYikra Chapter 11
1 And יהוה spoke unto Moshe and to Aharon, saying unto them, 2 "Speak unto B'nei Yisra'el, saying, 'These are the living things which you may eat among all the beasts that are on the earth. 3 Whatever parts the hoof, and is wholly cloven-footed, and chews the cud among the beasts, that may you eat. 4 Nevertheless, these shall you not eat of them that only chew the cud, or of them that only part the hoof: the camel, because he chews the cud but parts not the hoof, he is unclean unto you. 5 And the rock-badger, because he chews the cud but parts not the hoof, he is unclean unto you. 6 And the hare, because she chews the cud but parts not the hoof, she is unclean unto you. 7 And the swine, because he parts the hoof, and is cloven-footed, but chews not the cud, he is unclean unto you. 8 Of their flesh you shall not eat, and their carcasses you shall not touch; they are unclean unto you.
9 These may you eat of all that are in the waters: whatever has fins and scales in the waters, in the seas, and in the rivers, them may you eat. 10 And all that have not fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of all that swarm in the waters, and of all the living creatures that are in the waters, they are a detestable thing unto you, 11 and they shall be a detestable thing unto you; you shall not eat of their flesh, and their carcasses you shall have in detestation. 12 Whatever has no fins nor scales in the waters, that is a detestable thing unto you.
13 And these you shall have in detestation among the fowls; they shall not be eaten, they are a detestable thing: the great vulture, and the bearded vulture, and the ospray; 14 and the kite, and the falcon after its kinds; 15 every raven after its kinds; 16 and the ostrich, and the night-hawk, and the sea-mew, and the hawk after its kinds; 17 and the little owl, and the cormorant, and the great owl; 18 and the horned owl, and the pelican, and the carrion-vulture; 19 and the stork, and the heron after its kinds, and the hoopoe, and the bat.
20 All winged swarming things that go upon all fours are a detestable thing unto you. 21 Yet these may you eat of all winged swarming things that go upon all fours, which have jointed legs above their feet, wherewith to leap upon the earth; 22 even these of them you may eat: the locust after its kinds, and the bald locust after its kinds, and the cricket after its kinds, and the grasshopper after its kinds. 23 But all winged swarming things, which have four feet, are a detestable thing unto you.
24 And by these you shall become unclean; whoever touches the carcass of them shall be unclean until evening. 25 And whoever bears aught of the carcass of them shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the evening. 26 Every beast which parts the hoof, but is not cloven footed, nor chews the cud, is unclean unto you; every one that touches them shall be unclean. 27 And whatever goes upon its paws, among all beasts that go on all fours, they are unclean unto you; whoever touches their carcass shall be unclean until the evening. 28 And he that bears the carcass of them shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the evening; they are unclean unto you.
29 And these are they which are unclean unto you among the swarming things that swarm upon the earth: the weasel, and the mouse, and the great lizard after its kinds, 30 and the gecko, and the land-crocodile, and the lizard, and the sand-lizard, and the chameleon. 31 These are they which are unclean to you among all that swarm; whoever touches them, when they are dead, shall be unclean until the evening. 32 And upon whatever any of them, when they are dead, do fall, it shall be unclean; whether it is any vessel of wood, or raiment, or skin, or sack, whatever vessel it is, wherewith any work is done, it must be put into water, and it shall be unclean until the evening; then shall it be clean. 33 And every earthen vessel whereinto any of them falls, whatever is in it shall be unclean, and it you shall break. 34 All food therein which may be eaten, that on which water comes, shall be unclean; and all drink in every such vessel that may be drunk shall be unclean. 35 And every thing whereupon any part of their carcass falls shall be unclean; whether oven, or range for pots, it shall be broken in pieces; they are unclean, and shall be unclean unto you. 36 Nevertheless a fountain or a cistern wherein is a gathering of water shall be clean; but he who touches their carcass shall be unclean. 37 And if aught of their carcass falls upon any sowing seed which is to be sown, it is clean. 38 But if water is put upon the seed, and aught of their carcass falls thereon, it is unclean unto you.
39 And if any beast, of which you may eat, dies, he that touches the carcass thereof shall be unclean until the evening. 40 And he that eats of the carcass of it shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the evening; he also that bears the carcass of it shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the evening. 41 And every swarming thing that swarms upon the earth is a detestable thing; it shall not be eaten. 42 Whatever goes upon the belly, and whatever goes upon all fours, or whatever has many feet, even all swarming things that swarm upon the earth, them you shall not eat; for they are a detestable thing. 43 You shall not make yourselves detestable with any swarming thing that swarms, neither shall you make yourselves unclean with them, that you should be defiled thereby. 44 For I am יהוה your Elohim; consecrate yourselves therefore, and you, be kadosh, for I am kadosh; neither shall you defile yourselves with any manner of swarming thing that moves upon the earth. 45 For I am יהוה that brought you up out of the land of Mitzrayim, to be your Elohim; you shall therefore be kadosh, for I am kadosh. 46 This is the instruction of the beast, and of the fowl, and of every living creature that moves in the waters, and of every creature that swarms upon the earth, 47 to make a difference between the unclean and the clean, and between the living thing that may be eaten and the living thing that may not be eaten.

ויּקרא פרק יא
א וַיְדַבֵּר יהוה אֶל מֹשֶׁה וְאֶל אַהֲרֹן לֵאמֹר אֲלֵהֶם. ב דַּבְּרוּ אֶל בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל לֵאמֹר זֹאת הַחַיָּה אֲשֶׁר תֹּאכְלוּ מִכָּל הַבְּהֵמָה אֲשֶׁר עַל הָאָרֶץ. ג כֹּל מַפְרֶסֶת פַּרְסָה וְשֹׁסַעַת שֶׁסַע פְּרָסֹת מַעֲלַת גֵּרָה בַּבְּהֵמָה אֹתָהּ תֹּאכֵלוּ. ד אַךְ אֶת זֶה לֹא תֹאכְלוּ מִמַּעֲלֵי הַגֵּרָה וּמִמַּפְרִסֵי הַפַּרְסָה אֶת הַגָּמָל כִּי מַעֲלֵה גֵרָה הוּא וּפַרְסָה אֵינֶנּוּ מַפְרִיס טָמֵא הוּא לָכֶם. ה וְאֶת הַשָּׁפָן כִּי מַעֲלֵה גֵרָה הוּא וּפַרְסָה לֹא יַפְרִיס טָמֵא הוּא לָכֶם. ו וְאֶת הָאַרְנֶבֶת כִּי מַעֲלַת גֵּרָה הִוא וּפַרְסָה לֹא הִפְרִיסָה טְמֵאָה הִוא לָכֶם. ז וְאֶת הַחֲזִיר כִּי מַפְרִיס פַּרְסָה הוּא וְשֹׁסַע שֶׁסַע פַּרְסָה וְהוּא גֵּרָה לֹא יִגָּר טָמֵא הוּא לָכֶם. ח מִבְּשָׂרָם לֹא תֹאכֵלוּ וּבְנִבְלָתָם לֹא תִגָּעוּ טְמֵאִים הֵם לָכֶם.
ט אֶת זֶה תֹּאכְלוּ מִכֹּל אֲשֶׁר בַּמָּיִם כֹּל אֲשֶׁר לוֹ סְנַפִּיר וְקַשְׂקֶשֶׂת בַּמַּיִם בַּיַּמִּים וּבַנְּחָלִים אֹתָם תֹּאכֵלוּ. י וְכֹל אֲשֶׁר אֵין לוֹ סְנַפִּיר וְקַשְׂקֶשֶׂת בַּיַּמִּים וּבַנְּחָלִים מִכֹּל שֶׁרֶץ הַמַּיִם וּמִכֹּל נֶפֶשׁ הַחַיָּה אֲשֶׁר בַּמָּיִם שֶׁקֶץ הֵם לָכֶם. יא וְשֶׁקֶץ יִהְיוּ לָכֶם מִבְּשָׂרָם לֹא תֹאכֵלוּ וְאֶת נִבְלָתָם תְּשַׁקֵּצוּ. יב כֹּל אֲשֶׁר אֵין לוֹ סְנַפִּיר וְקַשְׂקֶשֶׂת בַּמָּיִם שֶׁקֶץ הוּא לָכֶם.
יג וְאֶת אֵלֶּה תְּשַׁקְּצוּ מִן הָעוֹף לֹא יֵאָכְלוּ שֶׁקֶץ הֵם אֶת הַנֶּשֶׁר וְאֶת הַפֶּרֶס וְאֵת הָעָזְנִיָּה. יד וְאֶת הַדָּאָה וְאֶת הָאַיָּה לְמִינָהּ. טו אֵת כָּל עֹרֵב לְמִינוֹ. טזוְאֵת בַּת הַיַּעֲנָה וְאֶת הַתַּחְמָס וְאֶת הַשָּׁחַף וְאֶת הַנֵּץ לְמִינֵהוּ. יז וְאֶת הַכּוֹס וְאֶת הַשָּׁלָךְ וְאֶת הַיַּנְשׁוּף. יח וְאֶת הַתִּנְשֶׁמֶת וְאֶת הַקָּאָת וְאֶת הָרָחָם. יט וְאֵת הַחֲסִידָה הָאֲנָפָה לְמִינָהּ וְאֶת הַדּוּכִיפַת וְאֶת הָעֲטַלֵּף.
כ כֹּל שֶׁרֶץ הָעוֹף הַהֹלֵךְ עַל אַרְבַּע שֶׁקֶץ הוּא לָכֶם. כא אַךְ אֶת זֶה תֹּאכְלוּ מִכֹּל שֶׁרֶץ הָעוֹף הַהֹלֵךְ עַל אַרְבַּע אֲשֶׁר לא (לוֹ) כְרָעַיִם מִמַּעַל לְרַגְלָיו לְנַתֵּר בָּהֵן עַל הָאָרֶץ. כב אֶת אֵלֶּה מֵהֶם תֹּאכֵלוּ אֶת הָאַרְבֶּה לְמִינוֹ וְאֶת הַסָּלְעָם לְמִינֵהוּ וְאֶת הַחַרְגֹּל לְמִינֵהוּ וְאֶת הֶחָגָב לְמִינֵהוּ. כג וְכֹל שֶׁרֶץ הָעוֹף אֲשֶׁר לוֹ אַרְבַּע רַגְלָיִם שֶׁקֶץ הוּא לָכֶם.
כד וּלְאֵלֶּה תִּטַּמָּאוּ כָּל הַנֹּגֵעַ בְּנִבְלָתָם יִטְמָא עַד הָעָרֶב. כה וְכָל הַנֹּשֵׂא מִנִּבְלָתָם יְכַבֵּס בְּגָדָיו וְטָמֵא עַד הָעָרֶב. כו לְכָל הַבְּהֵמָה אֲשֶׁר הִוא מַפְרֶסֶת פַּרְסָה וְשֶׁסַע אֵינֶנָּה שֹׁסַעַת וְגֵרָה אֵינֶנָּה מַעֲלָה טְמֵאִים הֵם לָכֶם כָּל הַנֹּגֵעַ בָּהֶם יִטְמָא. כז וְכֹל הוֹלֵךְ עַל כַּפָּיו בְּכָל הַחַיָּה הַהֹלֶכֶת עַל אַרְבַּע טְמֵאִים הֵם לָכֶם כָּל הַנֹּגֵעַ בְּנִבְלָתָם יִטְמָא עַד הָעָרֶב. כח וְהַנֹּשֵׂא אֶת נִבְלָתָם יְכַבֵּס בְּגָדָיו וְטָמֵא עַד הָעָרֶב טְמֵאִים הֵמָּה לָכֶם.
כט וְזֶה לָכֶם הַטָּמֵא בַּשֶּׁרֶץ הַשֹּׁרֵץ עַל הָאָרֶץ הַחֹלֶד וְהָעַכְבָּר וְהַצָּב לְמִינֵהוּ. ל וְהָאֲנָקָה וְהַכֹּחַ וְהַלְּטָאָה וְהַחֹמֶט וְהַתִּנְשָׁמֶת. לא אֵלֶּה הַטְּמֵאִים לָכֶם בְּכָל הַשָּׁרֶץ כָּל הַנֹּגֵעַ בָּהֶם בְּמֹתָם יִטְמָא עַד הָעָרֶב. לב וְכֹל אֲשֶׁר יִפֹּל עָלָיו מֵהֶם בְּמֹתָם יִטְמָא מִכָּל כְּלִי עֵץ אוֹ בֶגֶד אוֹ עוֹר אוֹ שָׂק כָּל כְּלִי אֲשֶׁר יֵעָשֶׂה מְלָאכָה בָּהֶם בַּמַּיִם יוּבָא וְטָמֵא עַד הָעֶרֶב וְטָהֵר. לג וְכָל כְּלִי חֶרֶשׂ אֲשֶׁר יִפֹּל מֵהֶם אֶל תּוֹכוֹ כֹּל אֲשֶׁר בְּתוֹכוֹ יִטְמָא וְאֹתוֹ תִשְׁבֹּרוּ. לד מִכָּל הָאֹכֶל אֲשֶׁר יֵאָכֵל אֲשֶׁר יָבוֹא עָלָיו מַיִם יִטְמָא וְכָל מַשְׁקֶה אֲשֶׁר יִשָּׁתֶה בְּכָל כְּלִי יִטְמָא. לה וְכֹל אֲשֶׁר יִפֹּל מִנִּבְלָתָם עָלָיו יִטְמָא תַּנּוּר וְכִירַיִם יֻתָּץ טְמֵאִים הֵם וּטְמֵאִים יִהְיוּ לָכֶם. לו אַךְ מַעְיָן וּבוֹר מִקְוֵה מַיִם יִהְיֶה טָהוֹר וְנֹגֵעַ בְּנִבְלָתָם יִטְמָא. לז וְכִי יִפֹּל מִנִּבְלָתָם עַל כָּל זֶרַע זֵרוּעַ אֲשֶׁר יִזָּרֵעַ טָהוֹר הוּא. לח וְכִי יֻתַּן מַיִם עַל זֶרַע וְנָפַל מִנִּבְלָתָם עָלָיו טָמֵא הוּא לָכֶם.
לט וְכִי יָמוּת מִן הַבְּהֵמָה אֲשֶׁר הִיא לָכֶם לְאָכְלָה הַנֹּגֵעַ בְּנִבְלָתָהּ יִטְמָא עַד הָעָרֶב. מ וְהָאֹכֵל מִנִּבְלָתָהּ יְכַבֵּס בְּגָדָיו וְטָמֵא עַד הָעָרֶב וְהַנֹּשֵׂא אֶת נִבְלָתָהּ יְכַבֵּס בְּגָדָיו וְטָמֵא עַד הָעָרֶב. מא וְכָל הַשֶּׁרֶץ הַשֹּׁרֵץ עַל הָאָרֶץ שֶׁקֶץ הוּא לֹא יֵאָכֵל. מב כֹּל הוֹלֵךְ עַל גָּחוֹן וְכֹל הוֹלֵךְ עַל אַרְבַּע עַד כָּל מַרְבֵּה רַגְלַיִם לְכָל הַשֶּׁרֶץ הַשֹּׁרֵץ עַל הָאָרֶץ לֹא תֹאכְלוּם כִּי שֶׁקֶץ הֵם. מג אַל תְּשַׁקְּצוּ אֶת נַפְשֹׁתֵיכֶם בְּכָל הַשֶּׁרֶץ הַשֹּׁרֵץ וְלֹא תִטַּמְּאוּ בָּהֶם וְנִטְמֵתֶם בָּם. מד כִּי אֲנִי יהוה אֱלֹהֵיכֶם וְהִתְקַדִּשְׁתֶּם וִהְיִיתֶם קְדֹשִׁים כִּי קָדוֹשׁ אָנִי וְלֹא תְטַמְּאוּ אֶת נַפְשֹׁתֵיכֶם בְּכָל הַשֶּׁרֶץ הָרֹמֵשׂ עַל הָאָרֶץ. מה כִּי אֲנִי יהוה הַמַּעֲלֶה אֶתְכֶם מֵאֶרֶץ מִצְרַיִם לִהְיֹת לָכֶם לֵאלֹהִים וִהְיִיתֶם קְדֹשִׁים כִּי קָדוֹשׁ אָנִי. מו זֹאת תּוֹרַת הַבְּהֵמָה וְהָעוֹף וְכֹל נֶפֶשׁ הַחַיָּה הָרֹמֶשֶׂת בַּמָּיִם וּלְכָל נֶפֶשׁ הַשֹּׁרֶצֶת עַל הָאָרֶץ. מז לְהַבְדִּיל בֵּין הַטָּמֵא וּבֵין הַטָּהֹר וּבֵין הַחַיָּה הַנֶּאֱכֶלֶת וּבֵין הַחַיָּה אֲשֶׁר לֹא תֵאָכֵל.

Shmu'el Bet Chapter 6
1 And David again gathered together all the chosen men of Yisra'el, thirty thousand. 2 And David arose, and went with all the people that were with him, from Ba'alei Yehudah, to bring up from there the Aron HaElohim, whereupon is called the Name, even the Name of יהוה Tzeva'ot that sits upon the Keruvim. 3 And they set the Aron HaElohim upon a new cart, and brought it out of the house of Avinadav that was in the hill; and Uzah and Akhiyo, the sons of Avinadav, drove the new cart. 4 And they brought it out of the house of Avinadav, which was in the hill, with the Aron HaElohim, and Akhiyo went before the Aron. 5 And David and all Beit Yisra'el played before יהוה with all manner of instruments made of cypress-wood, and with kinorot, and with nevalim, and with timbrels, and with sistra, and with cymbals. 6 And when they came to the threshing-floor of Nakhon, Uzah put forth his hand to the Aron HaElohim, and took hold of it; for the oxen stumbled. 7 And the anger of יהוה was kindled against Uzah; and Elohim smote him there for his error; and there he died by the Aron HaElohim. 8 And David was displeased, because יהוה had broken forth upon Uzah; and that place was called Peretz Uzah, and is unto this day. 9 And David was afraid of יהוה that day; and he said, "How shall the Aron of יהוה come unto me?" 10 So David would not remove the Aron of יהוה unto him into the city of David; but David carried it aside into the house of Oved Edom HaGiti.
11 And the Aron of יהוה remained in the house of Oved Edom HaGiti for three months; and יהוה blessed Oved Edom, and all his house. 12 And it was told to Melekh David, saying, " יהוה has blessed the house of Oved Edom, and all that pertains unto him, because of the Aron HaElohim." And David went and brought up the Aron HaElohim from the house of Oved Edom into the city of David, with joy. 13 And it was so, that when they that bore the Aron of יהוה had gone six paces, he sacrificed an ox and a fatling. 14 And David danced before יהוה with all his might; and David was girded with a linen ephod.
15 So David and all the house of Yisra'el brought up the Aron of יהוה with shouting, and with the sound of the shofar. 16 And it was so, as the Aron of יהוה came into the City of David, that Mikhal Bat Sha'ul looked out from the window, and saw Melekh David leaping and dancing before יהוה ; and she despised him in her heart. 17 And they brought in the Aron of יהוה , and set it in its place, in the midst of the tent that David had pitched for it; and David offered Olot and Sh'lamim offerings before יהוה . And 18 when David had made an end of offering the Olot and Sh'lamim offerings, he blessed the people in the Name of יהוה Tzeva'ot. 19 And he dealt among all the people, even among the whole multitude of Yisra'el, both to men and women, to every one a cake of bread, and a cake made in a pan, and a sweet cake. So all the people departed, every one to his house. 20 Then David returned to bless his household.
And Mikhal Bat Sha'ul came out to meet David, and said, "How did HaMelekh Yisra'el get him honor today, who uncovered himself today in the eyes of the handmaids of his servants, as one of the vain fellows shamelessly uncovers himself!" 21 And David said unto Mikhal, "Before יהוה , who chose me above your father, and above all his house, to appoint me prince over the people of יהוה , over Yisra'el, before יהוה will I make merry. 22 And I will be yet more vile than this, and will be base in my own sight; and with the handmaids whom you have spoken of, with them will I get me honor." 23 And Mikhal Bat Sha'ul had no child unto the day of her death.

שְׁמוּאֵל ב פרק ו
א וַיֹּסֶף עוֹד דָּוִד אֶת כָּל בָּחוּר בְּיִשְׂרָאֵל שְׁלֹשִׁים אָלֶף. ב וַיָּקָם וַיֵּלֶךְ דָּוִד וְכָל הָעָם אֲשֶׁר אִתּוֹ מִבַּעֲלֵי יְהוּדָה לְהַעֲלוֹת מִשָּׁם אֵת אֲרוֹן הָאֱלֹהִים אֲשֶׁר נִקְרָא שֵׁם שֵׁם יהוה צְבָאוֹת יֹשֵׁב הַכְּרֻבִים עָלָיו. ג וַיַּרְכִּבוּ אֶת אֲרוֹן הָאֱלֹהִים אֶל עֲגָלָה חֲדָשָׁה וַיִּשָּׂאֻהוּ מִבֵּית אֲבִינָדָב אֲשֶׁר בַּגִּבְעָה; וְעֻזָּא וְאַחְיוֹ בְּנֵי אֲבִינָדָב נֹהֲגִים אֶת הָעֲגָלָה חֲדָשָׁה. ד וַיִּשָּׂאֻהוּ מִבֵּית אֲבִינָדָב אֲשֶׁר בַּגִּבְעָה עִם אֲרוֹן הָאֱלֹהִים; וְאַחְיוֹ הֹלֵךְ לִפְנֵי הָאָרוֹן. ה וְדָוִד וְכָל בֵּית יִשְׂרָאֵל מְשַׂחֲקִים לִפְנֵי יהוה בְּכֹל עֲצֵי בְרוֹשִׁים; וּבְכִנֹּרוֹת וּבִנְבָלִים וּבְתֻפִּים וּבִמְנַעַנְעִים וּבְצֶלְצֱלִים. ו וַיָּבֹאוּ עַד גֹּרֶן נָכוֹן; וַיִּשְׁלַח עֻזָּה אֶל אֲרוֹן הָאֱלֹהִים וַיֹּאחֶז בּוֹ כִּי שָׁמְטוּ הַבָּקָר. ז וַיִּחַר אַף יהוה בְּעֻזָּה וַיַּכֵּהוּ שָׁם הָאֱלֹהִים עַל הַשַּׁל; וַיָּמָת שָׁם עִם אֲרוֹן הָאֱלֹהִים. ח וַיִּחַר לְדָוִד עַל אֲשֶׁר פָּרַץ יהוה פֶּרֶץ בְּעֻזָּה; וַיִּקְרָא לַמָּקוֹם הַהוּא פֶּרֶץ עֻזָּה עַד הַיּוֹם הַזֶּה. ט וַיִּרָא דָוִד אֶת יהוה בַּיּוֹם הַהוּא; וַיֹּאמֶר אֵיךְ יָבוֹא אֵלַי אֲרוֹן יהוה . י וְלֹא אָבָה דָוִד לְהָסִיר אֵלָיו אֶת אֲרוֹן יהוה עַל עִיר דָּוִד; וַיַּטֵּהוּ דָוִד בֵּית עֹבֵד אֱדֹם הַגִּתִּי.
יא וַיֵּשֶׁב אֲרוֹן יהוה בֵּית עֹבֵד אֱדֹם הַגִּתִּי שְׁלֹשָׁה חֳדָשִׁים; וַיְבָרֶךְ יהוה אֶת עֹבֵד אֱדֹם וְאֶת כָּל בֵּיתוֹ. יב וַיֻּגַּד לַמֶּלֶךְ דָּוִד לֵאמֹר בֵּרַךְ יהוה אֶת בֵּית עֹבֵד אֱדֹם וְאֶת כָּל אֲשֶׁר לוֹ בַּעֲבוּר אֲרוֹן הָאֱלֹהִים; וַיֵּלֶךְ דָּוִד וַיַּעַל אֶת אֲרוֹן הָאֱלֹהִים מִבֵּית עֹבֵד אֱדֹם עִיר דָּוִד בְּשִׂמְחָה. יג וַיְהִי כִּי צָעֲדוּ נֹשְׂאֵי אֲרוֹן יהוה שִׁשָּׁה צְעָדִים: וַיִּזְבַּח שׁוֹר וּמְרִיא. יד וְדָוִד מְכַרְכֵּר בְּכָל עֹז לִפְנֵי יהוה ; וְדָוִד חָגוּר אֵפוֹד בָּד.
טו וְדָוִד וְכָל בֵּית יִשְׂרָאֵל מַעֲלִים אֶת אֲרוֹן יהוה בִּתְרוּעָה וּבְקוֹל שׁוֹפָר. טז וְהָיָה אֲרוֹן יהוה בָּא עִיר דָּוִד; וּמִיכַל בַּת שָׁאוּל נִשְׁקְפָה בְּעַד הַחַלּוֹן וַתֵּרֶא אֶת הַמֶּלֶךְ דָּוִד מְפַזֵּז וּמְכַרְכֵּר לִפְנֵי יהוה וַתִּבֶז לוֹ בְּלִבָּהּ. יז וַיָּבִאוּ אֶת אֲרוֹן יהוה וַיַּצִּגוּ אֹתוֹ בִּמְקוֹמוֹ בְּתוֹךְ הָאֹהֶל אֲשֶׁר נָטָה לוֹ דָּוִד; וַיַּעַל דָּוִד עֹלוֹת לִפְנֵי יהוה וּשְׁלָמִים. יח וַיְכַל דָּוִד מֵהַעֲלוֹת הָעוֹלָה וְהַשְּׁלָמִים; וַיְבָרֶךְ אֶת הָעָם בְּשֵׁם יהוה צְבָאוֹת. יט וַיְחַלֵּק לְכָל הָעָם לְכָל הֲמוֹן יִשְׂרָאֵל לְמֵאִישׁ וְעַד אִשָּׁה לְאִישׁ חַלַּת לֶחֶם אַחַת וְאֶשְׁפָּר אֶחָד וַאֲשִׁישָׁה אֶחָת; וַיֵּלֶךְ כָּל הָעָם אִישׁ לְבֵיתוֹ. כ וַיָּשָׁב דָּוִד לְבָרֵךְ אֶת בֵּיתוֹ.
וַתֵּצֵא מִיכַל בַּת שָׁאוּל לִקְרַאת דָּוִד וַתֹּאמֶר מַה נִּכְבַּד הַיּוֹם מֶלֶךְ יִשְׂרָאֵל אֲשֶׁר נִגְלָה הַיּוֹם לְעֵינֵי אַמְהוֹת עֲבָדָיו כְּהִגָּלוֹת נִגְלוֹת אַחַד הָרֵקִים. כא וַיֹּאמֶר דָּוִד אֶל מִיכַל לִפְנֵי יהוה אֲשֶׁר בָּחַר בִּי מֵאָבִיךְ וּמִכָּל בֵּיתוֹ לְצַוֹּת אֹתִי נָגִיד עַל עַם יהוה עַל יִשְׂרָאֵל; וְשִׂחַקְתִּי לִפְנֵי יהוה . כב וּנְקַלֹּתִי עוֹד מִזֹּאת וְהָיִיתִי שָׁפָל בְּעֵינָי; וְעִם הָאֲמָהוֹת אֲשֶׁר אָמַרְתְּ עִמָּם אִכָּבֵדָה. כג וּלְמִיכַל בַּת שָׁאוּל לֹא הָיָה לָהּ יָלֶד עַד יוֹם מוֹתָהּ.

Yokhanan Markos Chapter 9
1 And He said to them, “Truly I say to you that there are men standing here who shall not taste death until they see that Malkhut HaElohim has come with power.” 2 And six days after, Yeshua took Kefa and Ya’akov and Yokhanan, and brought them up to a high mountain alone; and He was transfigured before their eyes. 3 His clothes shone and became white like snow in such a manner that men on earth cannot make white. 4 And there appeared to them Moshe and Eli-Yahu, talking with Yeshua. 5 And Kefa said to Him, “Rabbi, it is better for us to remain here; and let us make three sukkot, one for You, and one for Moshe, and one for Eli-Yahu.” 6 For he did not know what he was saying, for they were afraid. 7 And there was a cloud overshadowing them, and a voice out of the cloud said, “This is my Ben HaAhuv; hear Him.” 8 And suddenly, when the Talmidim looked around, they saw no man except Yeshua alone with them. 9 And as they came down from the mountain, He commanded them not to tell any man what they had seen until Ben HaAdam had risen from the dead. 10 So they kept that saying to themselves, and they wanted to know from Him what ‘risen from the dead' meant. 11 And they asked Him, saying, “Why then do the Sofrim say that Eli-Yahu must first come?” 12 He said to them, “Eli-Yahu does come first, to prepare everything, and as it is written concerning Ben HaAdam, that he will suffer much and be rejected. 13 But I say to you that Eli-Yahu has come, and they did with him whatever they pleased, as it is written of him.”

א וְאָמַר לָהֶם: אָמֵן אוֹמֵר אֲנִי לָכֶם, יֵשׁ אֲנָשִׁים הָעוֹמְדִים כָּאן שֶׁלֹּא יִטְעֲמוּ מָוֶת עַד אֲשֶׁר יִרְאוּ אֶת מַלְכוּת הָאֱלֹהִים בָּאָה בִּגְבוּרָה. ב וְאַחֲרֵי שִׁשָּׁה יָמִים לָקַח יֵשׁוּעַ אֶת כֵּיפָא וְאֶת יַעֲקֹב וְאֶת יוֹחָנָן, וְהֶעֱלָה אוֹתָם לְהַר גָּבוֹהַּ לְבַדָּם וְהִשְׁתַּנָּה לְעֵינֵיהֶם; ג וְנִהְיָה לְבוּשׁוֹ זוֹהֵר וּמֻלְבָּן מְאֹד, כַּשֶּׁלֶג, בְּאֹפֶן אֲשֶׁר בְּנֵי אָדָם אֵינָם יְכוֹלִים לְהַלְבִּין עַל הָאָרֶץ. ד וְנִרְאוּ אֲלֵיהֶם מֹשֶׁה וְאֵלִיָּהוּ וְהֵם מְדַבְּרִים עִם יֵשׁוּעַ. ה וְאָמַר לוֹ כֵּיפָא: רַבִּי, טוֹב לָנוּ לִהְיוֹת כָּאן; וְנַעֲשֶׂה שָׁלוֹשׁ סֻכּוֹת, לְךָ אַחַת, וּלְמֹשֶׁה אַחַת וּלְאֵלִיָּהוּ אַחַת. ו וְלֹא יָדַע מַה הוּא אוֹמֵר, כִּי הָיוּ בְּפַחַד. ז וְהָיָה עָנָן וְסוֹכֵךְ הָיָה עֲלֵיהֶם, וְקוֹל הָיָה מִן הֶעָנָן, אוֹמֵר: זֶהוּ בְּנִי הָאָהוּב; אֵלָיו שִׁמְעוּ. ח וּפִתְאוֹם כְּשֶׁהִבִּיטוּ הַתַּלְמִידִים, לֹא רָאוּ אִישׁ אֶלָּא אֶת יֵשׁוּעַ לְבַדּוֹ עִמָּהֶם. ט וּבְרִדְתָּם מִן הָהָר, צִוָּה עֲלֵיהֶם שֶׁלֹּא יֹאמְרוּ לְאִישׁ מַה שֶּׁרָאוּ, אֶלָּא כַּאֲשֶׁר יָקוּם בֶּן הָאָדָם מִן הַמֵּתִים. י וְהֶחֱזִיקוּ אֶת הַדָּבָר בְּלִבָּם וְחָקְרוּ מַהוּ הַדָּבָר הַזֶּה, כַּאֲשֶׁר יָקוּם מִבֵּין הַמֵּתִים. יא וְשָׁאֲלוּ אוֹתוֹ וְאָמְרוּ: מַדּוּעַ אֵפוֹא אוֹמְרִים הַסּוֹפְרִים שֶׁאֵלִיָּהוּ צָרִיךְ לָבוֹא תְּחִלָּה? יב אָמַר לָהֶם: אֵלִיָּהוּ יָבוֹא תְּחִלָּה לְיַשֵּׁיב כָּל דָּבָר; וְכַכָּתוּב עַל בֶּן הָאָדָם, שֶׁיִּסְבֹּל הַרְבֵּה וְיִדָּחֶה. יג אֲבָל אוֹמֵר אֲנִי לָכֶם, שֶׁגַּם אֵלִיָּהוּ בָּא וְעָשׂוּ בּוֹ כָּל מַה שֶּׁרָצוּ, כַּכָּתוּב עָלָיו.
