D'varim Chapter 29
9 "You are standing this day, all of you, before יהוה your Elohim: your heads, your tribes, your elders, and your officers, even all the men of Yisra'el,
10 your little ones, your wives, and your stranger that is in the midst of your camp, from the hewer of your wood unto the drawer of your water;
11 that you should enter into the Brit of יהוה your Elohim, and into His oath, which יהוה your Elohim makes with you this day;
12 that He may establish you this day unto Himself for a people, and that He may be unto you Elohim, as He spoke unto you, and as He swore unto your fathers, to Avraham, to Yitz'khak, and to Ya'akov.
13 Neither with you only do I make this Brit and this oath;
14 but with him that stands here with us this day before יהוה our Elohim, and also with him that is not here with us this day,
15 for you know how we dwelt in the land of Mitzrayim; and how we came through the midst of the nations through which you passed;
16 and you have seen their detestable things, and their idols, wood and stone, silver and gold, which were with them,
17 lest there should be among you man, or woman, or family, or tribe, whose heart turns away this day from יהוה our Elohim, to go to serve the gods of those nations; lest there should be among you a root that bears gall and wormwood;
18 and it comes to pass, when he hears the words of this curse, that he blesses himself in his heart, saying, 'I shall have shalom, though I walk in the stubbornness of my heart', that the watered be swept away with the dry;
19 יהוה will not be willing to pardon him, but then the anger of יהוה and His jealousy shall be kindled against that man, and all the curse that is written in this book shall lie upon him, and יהוה shall blot out his name from under heaven;
20 and יהוה shall separate him unto evil out of all the tribes of Yisra'el, according to all the curses of the Brit that is written in this Sefer HaTorah.
21 And the generation to come, your children that shall rise up after you, and the foreigner that shall come from a far land, shall say, when they see the plagues of that land, and the sicknesses wherewith יהוה has made it sick;
22 and that the whole land thereof is brimstone, and salt, and a burning, that it is not sown, nor does it bear, nor any grass grows therein, like the overthrow of S'dom and Amorah, Admah and Zevo'im, which יהוה overthrew in His anger, and in His wrath;
23 even all the nations shall say, 'Why has יהוה done this unto this land? What does the heat of this great anger mean?'
24 Then men shall say, 'Because they forsook the Brit of יהוה , the Elohim of their fathers, which He made with them when He brought them forth out of the land of Mitzrayim;
25 and went and served other gods, and worshipped them, gods that they knew not, and that He had not allotted unto them;
26 therefore the anger of יהוה was kindled against this land, to bring upon it all the curse that is written in this book;
27 and יהוה rooted them out of their land in anger, and in wrath, and in great indignation, and cast them into another land, as it is this day'.
28 The secret things belong unto יהוה our Elohim; but the things that are revealed belong unto us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this Torah."

D'varim Chapter 30
1 "And it shall come to pass, when all these things are come upon you, the blessing and the curse, which I have set before you, and you shall think yourself among all the nations, where יהוה your Elohim has driven you,
2 and shall return unto יהוה your Elohim, and hearken to His voice according to all that I command you this day, you and your children, with all your heart, and with all your soul;
3 that then יהוה your Elohim will turn your captivity, and have compassion upon you, and will return and gather you from all the peoples where יהוה your Elohim has scattered you.
4 If any of yours that are dispersed are in the uttermost parts of heaven, from there will יהוה your Elohim gather you, and from there will He fetch you.
5 And יהוה your Elohim will bring you into the land which your fathers possessed, and you shall possess it; and He will do you good, and multiply you above your fathers.
6 And יהוה your Elohim will circumcise your heart, and the heart of your seed, to love יהוה your Elohim with all your heart, and with all your soul, that you may live.
7 And יהוה your Elohim will put all these curses upon your enemies, and on them that hate you, that persecuted you.
8 And you shall return and hearken to the voice of יהוה , and do all His Mitzvot which I command you this day.
9 And יהוה your Elohim will make you over-abundant in all the work of your hand, in the fruit of your body, and in the fruit of your cattle, and in the fruit of your land, for good; for יהוה will again rejoice over you for good, as He rejoiced over your fathers;
10 if you shall hearken to the voice of יהוה your Elohim, to keep His Mitzvot and His Khukot which are written in this Sefer HaTorah; if you turn unto יהוה your Elohim with all your heart, and with all your soul."
11 "For this Mitzvah which I command you this day, it is not too hard for you, neither is it far off.
12 It is not in heaven, that you should say, 'Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto us, and make us to hear it, that we may do it?"
13 Neither is it beyond the sea, that you should say, 'Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto us, and make us to hear it, that we may do it?"
14 But HaDavar is very nigh unto you, in your mouth, and in your heart, that you may do it."
15 "See, I have set before you this day Khayim and good, and Mavet and evil,
16 in that I command you this day to love יהוה your Elohim, to walk in His ways, and to keep His Mitzvot and His Khukot and His Mishpatim; then you shall live and multiply, and יהוה your Elohim shall bless you in the land where you go in to possess it.
17 But if your heart turns away, and you will not hear, but shall be drawn away, and worship other gods, and serve them;
18 I declare unto you this day, that you shall surely perish; you shall not prolong your days upon the land, where you pass over the Yarden to go in to possess it.
19 I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that I have set before you Khayim and Mavet, the blessing and the curse; therefore choose life, that you may live, you and your seed;
20 to love יהוה your Elohim, to hearken to His voice, and to cleave unto Him; for that is your life, and the length of your days; that you may dwell in the land which יהוה swore unto your fathers, to Avraham, to Yitz'khak, and to Ya'akov, to give them."

HAFTARAH

Yesha-Yahu Chapter 61
10 "I will greatly rejoice in יהוה , my soul shall be joyful in my Elohim; for He has clothed me with the garments of Salvation, He has covered me with the robe of Tzedaka, as a bridegroom puts on a priestly diadem, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.
11 For as the earth brings forth her growth, and as the garden causes the things that are sown in it to spring forth, so Adonai יהוה will cause Tzedaka and Tehillah to spring forth before all the nations."

Yesha-Yahu Chapter 62
1 "For the sake of Tzion will I not be silent, and for Yerushalayim’s sake I will not rest, until her tzedaka goes forth as brightness, and her Salvation as a torch that burns.
2 And the nations shall see your tzedaka, and all kings your glory; and you shall be called by a new name, which the mouth of יהוה shall mark out.
3 You shall also be a crown of beauty in the hand of יהוה , and a royal diadem in the open hand of your Elohim.
4 You shall no more be termed 'Forsaken', neither shall your land any more be termed 'Desolate'; but you shall be called, 'My Delight is in Her', and your land, 'Be'ulah'; for יהוה delights in you, and your land shall be espoused.
5 For as a young man espouses a virgin, so shall your sons espouse you; and as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride, so shall your Elohim rejoice over you.
6 I have set watchmen upon your walls, O Yerushalayim, they shall never not be silent, day nor night, "You that are the remembrancers of יהוה , take no rest,
7 and give Him no rest, until He establishes, and until He makes Yerushalayim a praise in the earth.
8 יהוה has sworn by His right hand, and by the arm of His strength, 'Surely I will no more give your grain to be food for your enemies; and strangers shall not drink your wine for which you have labored;
9 but they that have garnered it shall eat it, and praise יהוה , and they that have gathered it shall drink it in the courts of My Mikdash'.
10 Go through, go through the gates, clear the way of the people; cast up, cast up the highway, gather out the stones; lift up an ensign over the peoples.
11 Behold, יהוה has proclaimed unto the end of the earth, 'Say unto Bat-Tzion, 'Behold, your Salvation comes; behold, His reward is with Him, and His recompense before Him'.'
12 And they shall call them 'Am Kadosh, The redeemed of יהוה '; and you shall be called 'Sought out, a City not Forsaken'."

Yesha-Yahu Chapter 63
1 "Who is this that comes from Edom, with crimsoned garments from Botzrah? This that is glorious in His apparel, stately in the greatness of His strength? 'I that speak in tzedaka, mighty to save.'
2 Why is Your apparel red, and Your garments like his that treads in the winevat? 3 'I have trodden the winepress alone, and of the peoples there was no man with Me; yes, I trod them in My anger, and trampled them in My fury; and their lifeblood is dashed against My garments, and I have stained all My raiment.
4 For the day of vengeance that was in My heart, and My year of redemption are come.
5 And I looked, and there was none to help, and I beheld in astonishment, and there was none to uphold; therefore My own arm brought Salvation unto Me, and My fury, it upheld Me.
6 And I trod down the peoples in My anger, and made them drunk with My fury, and I poured out their lifeblood on the earth.'
7 I will make mention of the compassions of יהוה , and the praises of יהוה , according to all that יהוה has bestowed on us; and the great goodness toward Beit Yisra'el, which He has bestowed on them according to His mercies, and according to the multitude of His compassions.
8 For He said, 'Surely, they are My people, children that will not deal falsely'; so He was their Moshiah.
9 In all their affliction He was afflicted, and the Malakh of His presence saved them; in His love and in His pity He redeemed them; and He bore them, and carried them all the days of old.

KETUVIM

Tehillah (Psalm) 81
1 For the Leader; upon the Gitit. By Asaf.
2 Sing aloud unto Elohim our strength; shout unto the Elohim of Ya'akov.
3 Take up the melody, and sound the timbrel, the sweet Kinor with the Nevel.
4 Blast the shofar at the khodesh, at the full moon for our Khag.
5 For it is a statute for Yisra'el, an ordinance of the Elohim of Ya'akov.
6 He appointed it in Yosef for a testimony, when He went forth against the land of
Mitzrayim. The speech of one that I knew not did I hear:
7 "I removed his shoulder from the burden; his hands were freed from the basket.
8 You did call in trouble, and I rescued you; I answered you in the secret place of
thunder; I proved you at the waters of Merivah. Selah.
9 Hear, O My people, and I will admonish you: O Yisra'el, if you would hearken unto
Me!
10 There shall no strange god be in you; neither shall you worship any foreign god.
11 I am יהוה your Elohim, who brought you up out of the land of Mitzrayim; open your
mouth wide, and I will fill it.
12 But My people hearkened not to My voice; and Yisra'el would not love Me.
13 So I let them go after the stubbornness of their heart, that they might walk in their
own counsels.
14 Oh that My people would hearken unto Me, that Yisra'el would walk in My ways!
15 I would soon subdue their enemies, and turn My hand against their adversaries.
16 The haters of יהוה would dwindle away before Him; and their punishment would
endure forever.
17 They would also be fed with the fat of wheat; and with honey out of the Rock would I satisfy you."

Romim Chapter 9
30 What shall we say then? That the Goyim who followed not after tzedaka have attained to tzedaka; that is, the tzedaka which is the result of trust.
31 But Yisra'el, who followed after the Torah of tzedaka, has not attained to the Torah of tzedaka.
32 Why? Because it was not sought by Emunah, but by the works of the Torah. So they stumbled at that stumbling-stone.
33 As it is written, “Behold, I lay in Tzion a stumbling-stone, and a rock of offense; but whoever trusts in Him shall not be ashamed.”

Romim Chapter 10
1 My brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to Elohim for Yisra'el is that they might be saved.
2 For I can testify for them that there is in them a zeal for Elohim, but not according to the true knowledge.
3 For they know not the tzedaka of Elohim, but seek to establish their own tzedaka, and because of this, they have not submitted themselves to the tzedaka of Elohim.
4 For Mashi'akh is the perfection of the Torah, for tzedaka to everyone who trusts.
5 For Moshe writes of the tzedaka of the Torah this way: “Whoever shall do these things shall live by them.”
6 But the tzedaka which is of trust says this: “Do not say in your heart, ‘who has ascended to heaven and brought Mashi'akh down to earth?’”
7 And “Who has descended into the abyss of She'ol and brought up Mashi'akh from the house of the dead?”
8 But what does it say? “HaDavar is near to you, even in your mouth and in your heart;” that is D'var HaEmunah which we declare;
9 so if you will confess with your mouth Adoneinu Yeshua and will trust in your heart that Elohim raised Him from the dead, you shall live.
10 For the heart which trusts in Him shall be declared righteous, and the mouth that confesses Him shall be saved.
11 For the scripture says, “Whoever trusts in Him shall not be ashamed.”

Luka Chapter 24
1 And on the first, after Shabbat, before dawn, while it was yet dark, they came to the tomb and brought the spices which they had prepared; and there were with them other women.
2 And they found the stone rolled away from the tomb.
3 And they entered in, but they did not find the body of Yeshua.
4 And it came to pass as they were confused about this, behold, two men stood above them, and their garments were shining;
5 and they were afraid and bowed their faces to the ground; and they said to them, “Why do you seek the living among the dead?
6 He is not here, He has risen; remember what He spoke to you while He was in the Galil,
7 saying that Ben HaAdam had to be delivered into the hands of sinful men and be executed, and rise again on the third day.”
8 And they remembered His words.
9 And they returned from the tomb and told all these things to the eleven, and to the rest.
10 They were Miryam of Magdala, and Yukhan, and Miryam the mother of Ya'akov, and the rest who were with them, who told these things to the Shlikhim.
11 And these words appeared in their eyes as delusions; and they did not believe them.
12 But Shimon rose up and ran to the tomb; and he looked in and saw the linen laid by itself, and he went away wondering in himself concerning what had happened.

44 And He said to them, “These are the words which I spoke to you when I was with you, that everything must be fulfilled which is written in the Torah of Moshe, and in the Nevi'im, and in the Tehillim, concerning me.”
45 Then He opened the eyes of their minds to understand the scriptures.
